Torsz · 26/05/2019 09:29

@RC000 no arrival but I've had 81 contractions since 7pm 😳 not quite close enough together to go to hospital though, and now they've gone back to every 7-10mins!

sh13 · 26/05/2019 09:33

@helenlucy92

I have a friend who birthed an almost 12 pound baby (she was overdue) they didn’t pick up that she was large on the growth scans. She said it was painful but it all went smoothly and she didn’t tear !

Thanks for the birth stories everyone Flowers love having a read x

@RC000
I’ve been having either BH or mild contractions since last night ? I keep managing to fall back to sleep and they come every 30 mins when I’m awake there manageable but can feel them in my back also. Starting to get on my nerves as I don’t know if it’s the start of anything or not !

@Torsz

Wow what are yours feeling like for you on a pain level ? x

OP posts:
Torsz · 26/05/2019 09:37

@sh13 pretty high actually - mostly in my lower back, I'm using a tens machine and I think I'd be struggling without it!

sh13 · 26/05/2019 09:39

@Torsz

Ahh how exciting ! I bet they’ll get close together soon ! 👶🏼 X
Did you wonder if they were BH at first or did you just know there contractions

OP posts:
RC000 · 26/05/2019 09:50

@Torsz eek sounds like this is it! Good luck! Did the cramps just start? Keep us updated!

@sh13 could be the start! Fingers crossed!

Torsz · 26/05/2019 09:51

@sh13 I did wonder as I've never had Braxton Hicks but they were painful from the start which sounded more like contractions - I just logged them on the Freya app and they were so frequent and ongoing that I figured they must be the real thing!

Torsz · 26/05/2019 09:52

@RC000 yup they just started last night and were every 15-20 mins initially then ramped up. Also had the show last night so it was an eventful day, having had no sign whatsoever previously!!

RC000 · 26/05/2019 11:56

@Torsz I am excited for you! Fingers crossed x

helenlucy92 · 26/05/2019 18:06

@sh13 wow that's a big baby!! Its good to hear that actually it went smoothly for her, that's a good story to hear at the moment Grin

@Torsz ahh keep us posted! That's exciting! Good luck! Grin

I'm due to have my section on Wednesday I will be 39+4! Anyone else feel really nervous for their babies arrival, I'm so worried something will be wrong and she won't be okay, I keep monitoring her movements because I'm petrified of still birth, is this normal as a first time mom? I can't help but worry that I've kept her safe in there for so long that she won't be okay once she's out 😢

sh13 · 26/05/2019 20:15

@helenlucy92

She was huge ! Yes try not to worry it can go well! We should post back on here the weights of our babies 😁 xx

@lelrx
I can relate to your feelings , part of the reason I’m so keen to have my baby out now is I’m terrified of something going wrong , I’ve had three misscarriages so think that’s why. All we can do is think positive and monitor there movements xx

I'm 38+4, getting a bit fed up now but also feeling totally under-prepared! Late pregnancy with a toddler (DS is 2.5) is sp much harder than first time.

helenlucy92 · 26/05/2019 20:34

@sh13 it would definitely be good for everyone to get back on here with their baby weights and just news of their babies Grin

@lelrx feel completely the same. Really apprehensive about the birth as well as just the idea of caring for a little human!

helenlucy92 · 26/05/2019 20:35

But @lelrx it will be fine! We've got this! Grin

MadeInCornwallx3 · 26/05/2019 22:08

Hi! 👋🏻

I'm 38+2 with my third baby and getting very impatient also! Loads of Braxton hicks but that seems about it at the moment.

Went at 39+6 with both previous children, waters broken artificially each time and no show until established labour.

It's literally all I can think about - it's so all consuming isn't it?

Hope it's happening for you @Torsz ! 🤞

lelrx · 26/05/2019 22:33

Oh how our maternal instincts have already kicked in girls!
It will be something else we are worrying about when they all arrive, that's it for life now
I'm so glad it's not just me, sometimes I think some things are too good to be true, how could something so amazing happen to me without something going wrong

We are all so lucky! I hope you all have happy and healthy births, can't wait to see when these little ones finally arrive ❤️

RC000 · 26/05/2019 22:41

Hoping for baby news in morning! Had a vindaloo tonight but no rumblings Grin

sh13 · 28/05/2019 00:25

@MadeInCornwallx3
The Braxton Hicks are driving me mad they start to get crampy an I think it’s the real deal and then nothing! I’m getting obsessed too lol!

@RC000

Any news today ?

OP posts:
sh13 · 28/05/2019 00:29

@lelrx

That’s so true, not long till your section now just imagine when you get to see your babies little face 😍 x

OP posts:
RC000 · 28/05/2019 07:39

@sh13 no! I thought it was it last no night as before bed and in bed regular and more painful BH but nothing! DC up 3 times in night so feeling rather ropey today Confused Surely one of us will go soon?!

sh13 · 28/05/2019 10:59

@RC000

I think I’m having mild contractions? They were coming 5-6 minutes for two hours in the night & more painful than the previous BH (can feel them in my back also) took some paracetomal fell asleep for two hours an now starting back up again , not bad enough pain to get checked yet though. I’m exhausted already 🙄 if this isn’t the start I think il have a big cry x

@sh13 fingers crossed! Keep us updated!

MadeInCornwallx3 · 28/05/2019 13:13

Oooh @sh13 that sounds promising!

How are you getting on this afternoon?

I'm the same with BH's, mainly in the evening.

I had a MW appt this morning though and a sweep.

Cervix was posterior and she reckoned 2cm which is encouraging! I'm 38+4 today. Currently bouncing and will prob head for a walk later.
