@Fivebyfive2 it's just so hard to get your head round everything. Honestly. And he's so small still he lost some as they normally do so he's now 5'6 and he's just a dink! Xxxx

@Delilah7 He is absolutely beautiful 😍 I’m sure you’ll get in to the swing of it all very soon, my sister assures me after a few weeks you just get used to running on no sleep!!! Enjoy your first full week at home with your little man x

I thought injections were for c sections only? I'll be okay, used to injecting with the insulin now! How are you finding it?

@MrsC87 they mentioned that because I'd been in more than 3 days I need to take them.. very weird! Erm ok it just stings like a bee string or a flu jab the injection doesn't hurt itself x x

I'm trying to stay off the boards a bit for my sanity and also because I still feel a bit cautious about this pregnancy after my mmc and complete lack of symptoms! I'm mainly just worrying myself on a loop so don't want to bore you all with that every time I come on here 😂

Glad to hear you're home @Delilah7, he's a cutie :) I'm sure things will settle down and that it's totally natural to feel overwhelmed - it's a huge change after all!

I got too warm, so I'm currently hiding up in our bedroom (working from home today) finishing off some work for the week, with the air con on. Much better! I think I might live up here on hot days lol.

I’m away for a long weekend with DH to celebrate our anniversary, got a couple of lovely looking restaurants booked for dinners and the weather is perfect! I plan to sit by the sea and eat a lot of ice cream.

I've been quite this week, a busy week with work and being out in the evenings. The start of the week saw the return of morning sickness, and I was actually sick for the first time (so I've been very luck really!). It's eased off again and the last couple of days I've felt like I need to eat almost every hour. Bump is definitely growing now too, I look pregnant now rather than it possibly being too much chocolate!

@Delilah7 Ethan is so cute!

@Fivebyfive2 I think anxiety before a scan is completely normal, with my early ones I'd be so anxious I'd go mute for the hours running up to them-poor DP didn't really know what to do! I suspect there's a possibility you might end up using the same hospital as me (GH?) as I seem to remember you're roughly in the same area, if so make sure you sit by the fans in the waiting room- we were there for 5 hours for our 12 week appointment and it was so warm, and that was when it was cooler outside!

@BostonFern, yep we're at the same hospital! Omg, 5 hours!! It says to allow up to 2 hours on the letter! Am hoping because we have an early slot we might not have to wait too long, but I suppose it depends on how they take to do everything. I'd better let dh know, as I have the day off but he's hoping to just go in a bit later! Thanks for the tip about the fans as well 🙂 It's great your getting a proper little bump xx Sorry to hear you're feeling rough, hope you feel better soon. Maybe it's the heat? It's supposed to cool down a little after Saturday I think?! Xxx

@Fivebyfive2 I know! We were expecting to be able to get back to work as our appointment was booked for 10am- we were there so long as I needed to see the senior consultant, so if you are midwife led then I reckon you should be ok. Also, you don't need cash to buy the scan photos, there's a machine to pay by card (we weren't sure and ended up making a trip to the cash point before hand).

@Bostonfern, that's good about the card machine! Our appointment is 9.10... I'm actually not sure if I'm midwife or consultant led, I guess midwife unless they decide otherwise as nothing has really been said? We'll just see how it goes on the day I guess! Xx

@Bettythecat I understand exactly how you feel! I hope the next few weeks fly by for you and you’re at a healthy 12 week scan in no time.

@EltzBee I’m so jealous you have air con!! It’s so, so warm. Our poor dog was up all night being sick - he’s a husky cross so he really doesn’t cope well in the heat at all!

Had a wobble last night, felt like my boobs felt a bit deflated and I just felt a bit too ‘normal’ for my liking. They’re like rocks again this morning, though. I just feel like time is standing still! Roughly 6 weeks now, I feel like I just need my consultant to point at me and tell me it’s real so I can believe it. We’ve told no family so it’s still very much our little secret! (Will also add my EDD once they give it me as its still complete guesswork at the moment!)

@MrsEG I know It's hard but don't worry to much about symptoms coming and going. Other then tiredness I didn't have anything until about 9 weeks. Then 9-11 I had pretty much all day nausea besides a couple of days. And about 11 weeks I had really bad constipation but that only lasted a day. By 12 it was all gone- the lot of it! I've never actually been sick so far ,And since then it's been breezy really. Before my 20 week scan I was a bit worried as people kept commenting on how small i was but it was confirmed he's big and strong and I can feel him every day now. Try not to worry💕

@thumper59 Thanks lovely, I’m trying so hard not to go crazy with it all! My consultant wants to start scanning from 7 weeks if all looks to be well so at least I won’t be guessing much longer. And I thought the two week wait was a painful stretch!! Hope you’re well xx

@MrsEG, the symptoms coming and going is so confusing sometimes!! How long until your 7 week scan?

Totally off topic, but a little rant because dh is a bit down today. He and my brother went to a gig last night and were supposed to meet another friend there. They don't see him often and he's very flakey, but dh was really excited to catch up and even asked if he could tell him our news a few days early, when it would be in person. Anyway, the guy didn't show and only responded when my brother texted him to ask where he was just as the support band went on, with a really crappy excuse!! As if you wouldn't at least let people know earlier if you weren't going?! I told dh not to worry about it, just don't bother as much if he's gonna be like that, but he's really annoyed about it bless him. Hopefully a nice meal and toy story 4 will cheer him up! Then our scan on Monday 🙂

@Fivebyfive2 Well, we still don’t know my dates! 6 weeks could be anywhere between today and Tuesday. My consultants NHS clinic is only open on Mondays so my guess is next Monday, but I’ll see what she says when I see her.
Men are really hopeless - my DH has a lot of moments like that with friends and I get so angry on his behalf. Girls would never be that thoughtless! Toy Story will definitely cheer him up, I loved it :)

We’re off to a family BBQ today and I cannot wait, I’m having very occasional waves of nausea but nothing extreme so making the most of it, I’ve made some guac and loads of halloumi skewers!

@MrsEG, bbq sounds fabulous!! Definitely the best day for it too 🙂 Now I'm home my appetite is back, it is like my body is like 'home now, oooo foooood'!! 😂

Agree about the men, it's like there is no thought process sometimes?! Got dh some harribo for the cinema tonight!

Anyone watching Glastonbury?? I've never been but the weather and the line up (The Cure tomorrow!!) are weirdly making me a bit wistful to be there, although I'd probably hate it in reality (the heat, the tents, the toilets!!) Really enjoying the coverage though! Xx

@Fivebyfive2 Thanks, BBQ was fab! I have this new-found guilt when I eat crap these days though; promising myself once I’m back at work and in my normal routine again next week I’ll start reintroducing vegetables back in to my life!!

I used to go to Glasto every year, it really is amazing and something I reckon everyone should do at least once! They’ve gotten so lucky with the weather too (I’ve been on years that have been a complete washout - canoe-ing back to the car park on the last day etc!!). I much prefer watching it on the telly these days though; 6 days without a proper shower just doesn’t appeal as much anymore!!
