@SullyWifey thanks lovely xxx

SullyWifey · 23/06/2019 21:07

@Crossfitgirl we are pram twins!! 😘 isn't it gorgeous xx

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 06:12

@Delilah7 How is Ethan doing lovely? Hope you’re both being very well looked after and are heading home soon xx

@Crossfitgirl That pram is beautiful 😍 Not long before your wee one is sat in there! Glad you had a lovely baby shower.

ChaosMoon · 24/06/2019 06:58

Ethan is gorgeous @Delilah7! Massive congratulations and very well done with the birth. You're a star. How is his heart doing?

@Bettythecat her name's Mabli. It's Welsh but it's not common even in Wales.

I'm sorry about your dog @purplefig. DH is the absolute best. I didn't change a nappy until he finished paternity leave after a month off. Since I posted he's got up early to take her for an hour before work every morning so I can shower and do yoga. He does bath time every evening and has to be told to go back to sleep when she wakes in the night, because he always wants to help if he can. I'm so lucky with him.

I'm so sorry about your BIL @MrsC87. My BIL once had the same. He's now perfectly healthy with 3 kids. It's amazing what doctors can do. You're right that your little boy is going to be a joy to everyone.

Congrats on your little boys @thumper59 and @BostonFern. Great scan pics!

So happy you saw the heart beat at your scans @BabySquid and @Bettythecat. I remember that feeling well.

@MrsEG that's fantastic news about your BFP, and even more so that the consultant has found a way to help you so quickly. I have everything crossed that this time goes well for you.

@stormtrooperjulian I hope your renovations are finished soon. That sounds so stressful.

I'm so sorry about your house @mrsof20118. That's just awful.

@TrashKitten10 at least you'll get to see them again before they're here. Hopefully they'll behave next time!

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 07:09

@ChaosMoon Your DH sounds like he is an absolute dream! How are you finding motherhood so far? I’m seeing my DH in a new light this past week as he’s had to inject me daily - you can see how nervous he is but he stays so calm and always re-reads the instructions out loud (which are so simple!) just for my benefit.
Mabli is such a lovely, beautiful name. We are from a very big Irish family and DH is Irish so we love Celtic names, challenge will be settling on one poor baby can actually spell!!

ChaosMoon · 24/06/2019 07:32

Ha ha, I know what you mean about the spelling @MrsEG. The other big consideration was whether people would be about to pronounce it as we live in England. I don't mind correcting people but some names are just mangled by an English accent!

Your DH sounds like such a star. That cannot be an easy thing to do to anyone, let alone the love of your life. How are you finding the daily injections?

I'm loving it. It's exhausting but she's such a gorgeous, sweet natured little girl, and it's so much fun watching her develop day by day!

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 07:48

@ChaosMoon Yep we live in England too so pronunciation is an issue (hearing people try to say Saoirse is one of my fave pastimes) but we’ve a long time to think of something that will hopefully work yet :)

The injections have been fine so far, I get very nervous beforehand for some reason but it’s no more than a little scratch. I think they could get worse as I only have two injection areas so I think they’ll start to bruise after a few weeks, but I’ll cross that bridge when it happens!

Ahh how lovely - I have a one year old niece that I am very close to and it was a dream watching her grow over those first few months. Enjoy every second!

EltzBee · 24/06/2019 11:43

@Delilah7 congratulations!

@ChaosMoon wow your DH sounds amazing :o

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. I’m 30+3 today and I feel like I’ve suddenly become huge over this weekend! Can’t believe baby now puts on 1/2lb each week for the next 6 weeks, how are they gonna fit inside me! Lol

Still really bored at work. I’m helping a friend out who has a small business by pulling a website together for her and setting up a few bits, so at least that’s giving me something to do!

thumper59 · 24/06/2019 12:35

@Delilah7 congratulations. He is just perfect.💙

@ChaosMoon Thankyou xx

We had our gender reveal on Saturday. It was lovely- such a perfect day with all our family I wish we could re live it. So glad we got pictures and a video to keep!

Hope everyone is doing well xxx

Bettythecat · 24/06/2019 13:11

@ChaosMoon what a pretty name. Is it pronounced May-blee? It was lovely to see the heartbeat but it still hasn't put my mind totally at ease 🙄🤦‍♀️. I think I'm having so few symptoms it's hard to believe. Just trying to stay positive though and I know it's a really good sign to see it.

@MrsEG bless your DH- it must be quite weird to have to inject someone you love. At least you know it's all for a good reason. How long do you have to do it for?

@EltzBee that's rubbish that you are still bored. Have you mentioned it to your manager? Maybe they have (incorrectly) assumed that you want to slow down.

@thumper59 your party sounds so lovely. Did you host it at your house? How did you do the announcement?

thumper59 · 24/06/2019 13:33

@Bettythecat Thankyou. Yes we did we had a bbq at ours and I got a few gender reveal bits off eBay! We got the balloon to do the reveal. Me and my partner already knew we just didn't tell family until Saturday and had all our aunties uncles grandmas grandads etc round so it was lovely to tell them all at the same time!😃 xx

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 13:56

@Bettythecat All being well, the injections should only be up to 12 weeks. But I’ll be quite closely monitored and I guess the Dr will just make a call depending on how it all looks. On a hunt for a sharps box today - the pharmacist didn’t have any so at the moment all my used syringes are in an old milk bottle 🙈 if anyone raided the house they’d think we were junkies!! Don’t worry about lack of symptoms, I have two close friends who had none at all, absolutely sailed through pregnancy. You’re one of the lucky ones!

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 13:57

@thumper59 Ah your party sounds so lovely, I bet it all seems very real now that everyone knows!

@EltzBee It’s horrid when work feels like it’s dragging!! Do you have much longer to go? At least you have your little side project now to tide you over haha, I bet your friend is delighted!

Fivebyfive2 · 24/06/2019 14:56

@bettythecat, try not to worry too much sweet xx I don't have too many symptoms this time again, just mild on and off ones like sore boobs, more tired etc. Getting hormonal now though, at just past 11 weeks! My boobs stop hurting and it's like "what does this meeeean?!"... Then it comes back 🙄😂 It's such a good sign you heard the heartbeat!! You've got another scan soon, right? Xx

Bettythecat · 24/06/2019 15:06

@Fivebyfive2 I know you're definitely right. It sounds like our symptoms are really similar actually. I have days feeling knackered, days a bit constipated and days with sore boobs but nothing too crazy. Yep- our scan is a week tomorrow. Can't wait for it! I'm hoping I'll feel even more relaxed if that one all goes to plan.

@thumper59 awww that sounds so lovely. So nice to celebrate in as many ways as possible. I'm not really religious but seem to have decided I want a christening so that I can celebrate when they are here too!

@MrsEG haha oh dear! Weirdly I actually saw someone on Facebook complaining that it's almost impossible to dispose of sharps as so few places take them. Hopefully you find a bin so the milk bottle can be retired! Your consultant sounds great and it must be so reassuring to know you are taking positive action 😊. I've got a good feeling about this one! I know you're right about the symptoms too- I think it's just hard not to worry but then again I'm sure I would find something to worry about whatever symptoms I had!!

Feeling rubbish today- have an awful cold. Really want a lemsip but I know that's not allowed! 😫 also can I blame baby brain for being absent minded yet?! I'm WFH and I've just made a chilli and put in a load of thyme not oregano so now it tastes like a weird bolognese/chilli combo. 🤦‍♀️

thumper59 · 24/06/2019 15:25

@MrsEG Thankyou, it really does! So weird that we are having a son, well not weird! But it's sinking it now we know. DP is buzzing to have a little rugby player 😆

@Bettythecat aw are you, I'm the same, I'm all for celebrations! My close friends always say how 'extra' I am but I just love all the little touches. I love decorating the house for DP's birthday or what not. I know not everyone loves or agrees with baby showers/gender reveals etc but I love them- if you can get all your nearest and dearest together and have a lovely day I don't know why you wouldn't! 😃. It's my sister in laws baby shower on Sunday and I can't wait! Soon be meeting nephew number 2! X

EltzBee · 24/06/2019 16:30

@Bettythecat yep I've moaned I'm bored and need some more projects to my manager and our director lol. I've just picked up 1 extra thing from a colleague. Hopefully things get a bit busier. @MrsEG I still have nearly 8 weeks at work! I'm taking some holiday before my maternity leave starts, so my last day working/in the office is when I'll be 38 weeks (assuming baby doesn't come early lol).

How's everyone faring with the humidity/heat this week? It's been high twenties today but with the humidity at over 80% I've been struggling. Walked to town at lunch time to pop in to Boots and Primark and got back to the office needing a rest lol.

BostonFern · 24/06/2019 18:08

@MrsEG I had to buy a sharps bin from amazon when I was on Clexane injections. Not sure if they've got them in stock now?

@EltzBee wow, I didn't realise they gained that much each week at that point in pregnancy- and here I am amazed that baby weighs 7oz at 17 weeks 😂

@thumper59 so pleased you had a lovely gender reveal.

I hope you feel better soon @Bettythecat!

@EltzBee I think the humidity is making me a bit more tired today, wish this storm would hurry up and arrive so we can get it over and done with now.

EltzBee · 24/06/2019 18:17

@BostonFern yeah I was amazed too! According to my app baby is about 3lbs now. They seem to really pack on the fat in the last trimester to get all cute and chubby! Lol.

People and strangers have started asking me when I'm due so I must look properly pregnant now 🤣🤰 I caught my reflection walking into town at lunch and was like eeeek.

Bizarrely the thing I'm really missing is exercise, I wanted to start running again but the midwife told me not to.

stormtrooperjulian · 24/06/2019 18:58

@ChaosMoon your DH sounds amazing!

@thumper59 glad your party went well! We’re planning a pre-baby bbq (not calling it a shower or anything like that, just a gathering) for when I’m 36 weeks, hope I’m still feeling good by then! Needed to wait to be sure the house renovations are done before we have people round.

@EltzBee I haven’t felt any difference with the heat / humidity. Is there a reason you’ve been told not to exercise? (Nosey 😂) I’ve been told to carry on as normal for as long as I want, am working out 4-5x a week still.

BabySquid · 24/06/2019 19:44

@MrsEG shame I can't just drop you one off, my DH does a bi-daily jab and each time he gets a delivery of 3 months, they give him a 6 month sharps bin!! We have them for all sorts, mainly change buckets haha!! He says go to the chemist or def a hospital should give you one. I'm very surprised you didn't get one at the same time as your jabs.

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 19:56

@Bettythecat Thanks, I so hope so :) For what it’s worth I think your Bolognese chilli combo sounds lovely!! I accidentally put the wrong car reg in when paying at a car park today; DH wondered if it was baby brain; it’s more just me being a complete idiot 🙈

@thumper59 Ahh my DH is huge on rugby too - girl or boy I think they’ll be forced in to it haha!

@EltzBee 8 weeks sounds like loads but I’m sure it will fly by now for you; I so understand though I hate having slow work weeks. Could you do some ‘WFH’ and just crack on with some nesting??

@BostonFern Oh I didn’t know you were on clexane, how did you find it? Today’s was the first one that felt a bit sore (literally just for 5-10 mins after) but DH also drew blood a little so he worries he maybe wiggled it a bit?!

@stormtrooperjulian I am really missing exercise now but just need consultant to give me the green light when she sees me next week. Just lots of walking for now! Well done you carrying on 4-5 times a week!

@BabySquid Yeah I am too they didn’t even mention it! They were in a real flap as they only had a 10 day supply in and my prescription was for a month so they were faffing trying to order the rest in so I don’t know if they just forgot. I should be picking the rest up on Friday so will ask for a sharps box then! How are you feeling at the mo?

mrsof20118 · 24/06/2019 19:57

@EltzBee struggling with the heat today. Hands and feet all swollen and puffy. I've had bad period type cramps today and lower back ache. Wondering if body prepping for birth knowing it's 5 weeks until due date now
