@Delilah7 thinking of you today, not long until you meet your beautiful boy x

@stormtrooperjulian that must be stressful, hopefully it'll start to come together soon so you can start nesting x

MrsEG · 21/06/2019 06:34

@Crossfitgirl Thanks lovely. Question, did you crack on with your CrossFit still in those early weeks? I’ve not moved since my BFP on Monday; I don’t know what’s wrong with me, it’s like I’m scared if I even sneeze too hard the baby will fall out 🙈 Need someone to slap some sense in to me!! Enjoy all the nesting and your baby shower!

@mrsof20118 Oh wow not long for you now!! How exciting!

@Delilah7 GOOD LUCK LOVELY LADY ♥️

@stormtrooperjulian Thank you lovely. Gosh that sounds awful - we had loads of work done at the start of this year and it’s horrible - I hated always coming home to people in my house, crap everywhere - it starts to take its toll very fast! Is the end date in sight??

@BostonFern Thanks lovely and enjoy your scan at the weekend x

TrashKitten10 · 21/06/2019 06:54

@Delilah7 Good luck today! Not long until you get to hold your beautiful boy.

@stormtrooperjulian Ahh, that would drive me mad. Do you have an expected completion date in sight?

@BostonFern That all sounds reassuring, glad it was good news for you.

20 week scan this afternoon, eek I can't wait!

BostonFern · 21/06/2019 07:03

Thanks @TrashKitten10 and @MrsEG
@TrashKitten10 enjoy your scan today!

Thanks everyone for sharing their feelings/experiences/plans for breastfeeding. It was really interesting to read through all the different approaches. As I said, it's not a topic I know much about so has definitely given me food for thought (excuse the pun)! If anyone's remotely interested in where I'm at: I think I'd definitely like to give breastfeeding a go, but I would be very open to learning more about mixed feeding down the line.

@Delilah7 all the best for today - you've got this and we're all rooting for you!

@Crossfitgirl Glad you enjoyed the Eden Project, it is the silver lining of a rainy day in Cornwall! 7 weeks is nothing at all...sorry if you've already posted but do you know which sex you're having?

@mrsof20118 great news the baby is in a good position! Do you know why they'll likely induce you at 38 weeks?

@stormtrooperjulian huge hugs, having been through two renovations you totally have my empathy. I can't imagine going through it pregnant. You're a superstar! How long do they reckon you've got left? Just think how fab it's going to look when it's all done.

@MrsEG re: exercise, I also have done nothing (beyond walking the dog) since I found out. Mostly out of tiredness mind. I think if you feel up to exercise you'd be fine to continue, but I totally get your reluctance. Maybe wait until after you've spoken with your consultant as she should be able to reassure?

Anyone up to anything fun this weekend? I've got a party tonight which I would usually be very excited for (open bar), but it's on until 1am and my current bedtime is about 8.30pm haha! Other than that I've got a bit more DIY to finish off and then I'll be relaxing watching the Lioness' on Sunday. C'mooon girls!

EltzBee · 21/06/2019 11:06

@Crossfitgirl ooh exciting with the nursery furniture arriving! Are you hoping to get it all built and set up this weekend? Not long left at work either for you, you must be getting excited.

@MrsEG hopefully time will go quickly for you! I’m doing good, sore hips and the usual pregnancy niggles but generally alright! We’re 30 weeks today :o it feels like we’re on the home straight now!

@mrsof20118 eek not long for you either now! Did you ask to be induced early or was it recommended? Sorry if you’ve already said!

@BostonFern glad it went well with the consultant and that there are options there. I lost 8lbs in the first few months from being sick all the time, they didn’t seem worried at all so I’m sure you’ll be fine on that account :) I’m Rh -ve, but baby is as well - DH and I are both weirdly the exact same blood type, and so is baby, we’re all O negative.

@Delilah7 good luck today!! Thinking of you :)

@stormtrooperjulian ah hun! That sounds stressful. Do you know how much more work has to be done/timescales? Hopefully it won’t be much longer for you.

One of my colleagues gave us a huge bag of baby clothes, we’ve picked out the more neutral pieces and asked another lady I know who lives in the next village if she’d like the boy pieces. There’s loads left despite us doing a full load of washing for the bits we did take! :o

Delilah7 · 21/06/2019 12:12

Going in at 1 ladies so will keep you updated when I can ❤️❤️

EltzBee · 21/06/2019 14:03

@Delilah7 good luck hun, hope it's going well xx

purplefig · 21/06/2019 15:09

@Delilah7 so excited for you!! You get to meet him so soon!!

MrsEG · 21/06/2019 15:28

@EltzBee 30 weeks!! Not long now at all :) It will fly by I’m sure! Here’s hoping the weather doesn’t get too warm for you as you’re in your third tri!!

@purplefig Consultant is fine with it, encourages it! I know it’s my own anxieties. Every day I say today’s the day, every day, I don’t go!! Dog is having his legs walked off though!! How are you feeling at the mo?

@Delilah7 So excited for you. I hope Ethan flies right out haha! XX

mrsof20118 · 21/06/2019 15:40

@purplefig @EltzBee baby is measuring off the scale big. No gd or anything. I'm petite build and only 5 ft 1 so think there's an increased risk of baby getting stuck.

Our vendors pulled out of our house purchase today. Actually they decided a week before completion they wanted a higher asking price. Very stressed and now need to find somewhere else to leave as gave notice on our interim rental place. Agrh!

stormtrooperjulian · 21/06/2019 16:21

@Delilah7 @mrsof20118 @BostonFern @MrsEG @TrashKitten10 @purplefig @EltzBee the end of the work is definitely in sight, another 3 weeks and it should be finished. So compared to how long I’ve coped with it for so far, it’s no time at all. DH thinks that by mid next week it should turn a corner and start noticeably coming together. It’s just so stressful living like that and on top of starting a new high pressure role at work it all got to be too much for me and poor DH had to cope with the emotional fallout!

@Delilah7 thinking of you!

@EltzBee that’s so kind of your colleague. We don’t know anyone who could pass clothes on to us so I’ve been looking on Facebook at baby clothes bundles, I don’t want to spend loads on new clothes that the baby will spend a few months throwing up on then grow out of!

@mrsof20118 oh no that’s a nightmare! House buying is so stressful at the best of times let alone when someone pulls out last minute. How long do you have to find another rental? Any chance your landlord hasn’t found a new tenant yet and will let you stay on?

TrashKitten10 · 21/06/2019 18:24

@mrsof20118 Sorry to hear about the house, that's a real downer. Hope you manage to get somewhere sorted very soon.

@stormtrooperjulian 3 weeks, you can do this! Then you can start properly nesting :)

Well the scan didn't go quite as expected. Baby was upside down and being completely awkward and the sonographer couldn't get all the measurements they needed. We were sent off for a walk and a sugary drink hoping baby might flip but it's apparently as stubborn as it's parents and stayed put 😂 I've had to be booked in again for two weeks time when hopefully baby might play ball :) All the measurements they did get were fine and although not 100%, they think it's a little girl 💕

MrsR16 · 21/06/2019 18:34

@TrashKitten10 oh goodness, your scan sounds eventful! 😂 I'm so excited for you! Baby being upside down, sounds like mine! Hehe xx

Fivebyfive2 · 21/06/2019 18:54

@Trashkitten10, sounds like you've got a little troublemaker in the making 😂😀 Glad the measurements they did get are all good though! Xx

Ladies, I'm on holiday, am 11 weeks tomorrow and think the hormones are getting to me!! So far I cried on the plane (no idea why), after breakfast this morning (dh thinks it was because they were out of croissants!) and at dinner tonight, because I felt really happy?!! So basically all 3 out of nowhere... Dh is starting to look a tad scared, bless him. Anyone else had this?! Xxx

mrsof20118 · 21/06/2019 19:17

@stormtrooperjulian annoyingly we recommended someone else looking in the village as the next tenants. We've got five weeks and baby will be here four ish max. I'll look back and laugh at the stress one day I hope! X

EltzBee · 21/06/2019 22:11

@mrsof20118 ah no about the house Hun. 😥 Not what you need. I really hope you find somewhere quickly that's even better.

@stormtrooperjulian fingers crossed it starts to get better soon. We were the same, we picked up a big bundle from Facebook marketplace and we also went to a Mum to Mum nearly new sale and got loads without spending much at all. When my colleague offered I figured why not we have taken the neutral things for our girl. One of the ladies in my other group whose having a boy in August and lives nearby picked up the rest rest today :) 2nd hand baby clothes are such good value!

@TrashKitten10 lol naughty baby! Glad it all looks good though.

BostonFern · 22/06/2019 14:51

@mrsof20118 I hope you find somewhere to live that you love very soon.

@TrashKitten10 I have a feeling my baby will do the same! At least you get another scan an opportunity to see baby again.

@Delilah7 thinking of you and hoping it's going well!

We had our scan this morning, baby measuring well and it's definitely a boy! Looks so much more like a baby that it did at 12 weeks!

Wow @BostonFern that baby looks amazing! How many weeks are you. I can't wait to see my baby looking more like a baby than just a little blob of heartbeat lol
I have a bit of a TMI question to ask (but I know nothing is too TMI on here!) DH and I dtd Wednesday and today.. and both times I've bled a little after. Not much, but enough to make things pink for a while, Wednesdays went into Thursday too and I had pink discharge till Thursday morning.
Do we think this is ok? I don't think it's DH scratching me as he's never done it before and keeps his nails ridiculously short.
I've not had any kind of bleeding at all other than this.
