@Fivebyfive2 have a fab holiday. I've been there with work once and it's really cool!

Xx

EltzBee · 20/06/2019 15:52

@Fivebyfive2 have a good holiday!!

MrsEG · 20/06/2019 15:54

Thanks so much ladies (I won’t tag everyone!) - I spoke to my consultant today and she went through my results, it appears I have a thyroid issue which puts me at a higher risk of MC. She wrote me a prescription there and then for two pills, one is a steroid one, and also a self-administered injection to do once a day. Was really quite scared of that one, but DH has done it this afternoon and it wasn’t so bad. Literally just a waiting game now, I take the treatment daily until my next appointment on July 1st. If all goes well I’ll only need the injections until 12 weeks too. I feel so much more relaxed under my consultant, though. She couldn’t be more helpful and has already transferred me to her pregnancy clinic; about 10 minutes after she told me this her secretary was already calling me to book me in!

@Bettythecat Fabulous, I am so pleased for you.

@Fivebyfive2 Have a great holiday!

@Delilah7 You will be totally fine; Ethan will be here before you know it! Good luck lovely lady x

EltzBee · 20/06/2019 17:23

@MrsEG ah I'm so glad it went well with the consultant, and more importantly that they've identified what could be a problem! It's amazing how little we hear about the thyroid until it starts messing up a couple of hormones and the knock on effects are crazy. Got my fingers crossed the tablet and injections do their job! That's good they've got you booked in for your next appointment already too, sounds like you're in good hands!

Crossfitgirl · 20/06/2019 18:22

Hi everyone, I have been off on holiday then came home and work has been crazy, sorry for being so AWOL! I've tried to catch up a bit but I think it's a lost cause!

I checked in to say @delilah7 good luck for tomorrow! Our nursery stuff comes tomorrow so I thought of you and your induction on the same day. How are you feeling about it? I can't believe you'll have a baby in the next couple of days!!

And @purplefig thanks for all your Cornwall tips! We went to that beach you suggested - Gwithian? - but we had to just look at it from the coastline, as we'd already been to 2 towns that day and paid for parking and DH refused to pay a 3rd 😂 Eden project was amazing!

I'm sorry to see some of you have had some tough times, it's awful when you don't know what's happening and just have to sit in limbo.

For those talking about being hormonal, trust me it doesn't get any better.
Mines tears over the smallest things, and also rage over the smallest things!!

I'm 33 weeks tomorrow, so 7 weeks until due date, eeeek! And very excited about my mamas and papas delivery tomorrow.

How is everyone doing today?
Who has nice plans for the weekend? Xxx

Delilah7 · 20/06/2019 18:26

@Crossfitgirl ahhh nursery time can't wait to see pictures!! I'm nervous. Probably because I'm just over thinking. I'll be fine it's just the unknown! Xxx

MrsR16 · 20/06/2019 18:27

@Crossfitgirl it's wonderful to hear from you! I hope you're taking it easy 😊 I have a volunteering day on Sunday, so will be fairly busy but no plans for Saturday! Bring on the lie in!

Ladies, I am super excited. MIL bought our travel system today for us! Either Mothercare have messed up their offer on the system we wanted or they've extended it, but we got the offer we were looking at and then 10% off on top of that! Couldn't resist xx

MrsEG · 20/06/2019 18:33

@EltzBee Yes, feel really happy about the future now after a pretty rough couple of months! I wish I could just click my fingers and fast forward a few weeks and just see if it’s all okay or not!! How are you doing now?

Crossfitgirl · 20/06/2019 18:44

@delilah7 you got this!! Do keep us updated if /when you feel you can! Will send a pic if we manage to get the furniture up before our housewarming and baby shower on Saturday lol.

@mrsR16 yesss for a lie in!! I will be having a super chilled day on Sunday lol so much going on before then! We have the huge delivery tomorrow, I've got to do a house clean and I want to put the pram up and gonna bake a cake and some brownies! Haha. Not so easy really. BUT only 3 weeks left at work and they are nice short 3 day weeks 🙌

What travel system have you gone for? And great stuff on the deal! We got the mamas and papas ocarro. I don't give a fuck about the furniture, I'm putting the pram together as soon as it comes!!

@mrseg congratulations, and welcome back it's so lovely to see you on here. Amazing that you got pregnant again so quickly, keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly this time.

I'm gonna try breastfeeding but also want to introduce a bottle as soon as I can, as I hate the idea of being a prisoner to baby, as odd as that sounds, I would like DH to be able to feed her too, and also be able to have a break occasionally and be able to leave baby for periods of time to be able to look after myself too. I really want to bf so I think I'll be disappointed if I can't, but at the same time I've also told myself and DH that if it's a struggle that we are not putting any pressure on me to do it, and that we will bottle feed if it means a healthy mum! Xx

@Bettythecat glad all is OK.

@MrsEG got evening crossed for you

@Delilah7 good luck for tomorrow. Keep us up to date on how it progresses

@Crossfitgirl having a non baby shower baby shower surprise lunch I think on Saturday with local friends.

Had my 34 week appointment today and baby now in a good position and 3/5 engaged. Midwife thinks ill be induced shortly after my 38 week appointment.

mrsof20118 · 20/06/2019 19:09

@crossfitgirl also agree on breastfeeding and using a bottle. I'm the same and I don't want to be the sole provider for food for baby for 6 months. After 6 weeks I aim to combination feed all being well.

MrsR16 · 20/06/2019 19:20

@Crossfitgirl that sounds like a proper busy couple of days! Nesting away, huh? 😂 we've got the Silver Cross Pioneer. It's just beautiful! I'm not allowed the pram until we're much closer to Peanut arriving - my MIL and my mum won't let me have it! Xx

@mrsof20118 goodness, that's come around quick! That's great to hear that baby's in a good position and is getting engaged 😊

BostonFern · 20/06/2019 20:03

@Bettythecat wonderful news!

@Fivebyfive2 enjoy your holiday!

@MrsEG I'm glad to hear you have a plan put together x

@Crossfitgirl I can't believe your 33 weeks already! Glad you enjoyed Cornwall too.

@MrsR16 how exciting!!

@Delilah7 good luck for tomorrow- you can do it!

@mrsof20118 sounds like you'll be meeting your little one before you know it!

I had my cardiology appointment today, consultant doesn't seem worried based on my history prior to pregnancy and thinks we've got sufficient options for managing my condition even in labour, which is reassuring. Hopefully the 24 hour heart monitor won't show any changes as a result of my pregnancy that might change that. 🤞
They took my weight at the appointment too, I've lost 400g since my first midwife appointment 😬 I think that's as a result of all the nausea and food aversions I had in the first trimester, hopefully I'll start to put a little on now I'm at 17 weeks-I don't want a telling off from the midwife!
Oh, and I also had a letter confirming the baby is Rh +ve, so I'll be needing the anti-D injections as I'm Rh -ve.
We are having another scan on Saturday morning, so I'm counting down to seeing our little boy again. 💙

Delilah7 · 20/06/2019 20:32

Thanks all you lovely ladies. Last normal night with me and OH 😍 feels so strange lol.

Glad to hear everything went ok @BostonFern 💙

stormtrooperjulian · 20/06/2019 20:49

@BabySquid I’m so glad your scan went well!

@Delilah7 good luck for tomorrow, you’ll be holding your little boy in no time at all now

@Bettythecat great news, must be such a relief!

@MrsEG congratulations! Your consultant sounds amazing too, I’m so glad they’re taking good care of you.

@Crossfitgirl @mrsof20118 I’m planning on breastfeeding then introducing a bottle at around 6 weeks too, I don’t want to be chained to the baby for 6 solid months and I want DH to have a chance to feed him too.

@BostonFern good news that your consultant isn’t worried

I had a hormone induced emotional meltdown today, we’ve been living in a building site for the past 6 months having the house totally renovated and today I reached my limit, spent half an hour crying on DH and telling him that I just want it all to be over and to live normally again in a house that has carpets and a functioning kitchen and isn’t covered in an inch of dust all the time. I’m only one week away from being in the third trimester and I want to start getting things ready for the baby!

Delilah7 · 20/06/2019 20:51

@stormtrooperjulian I bet that's extremely stressful Hun. :( thinking of you x x

mrsof20118 · 20/06/2019 21:41

@stormtrooperjulian can imagine how stressed you feel with the house. You must be getting into meeting mode too. We are still awaiting a completion date for ours was hoping to be end of June but may get delayed as a few things cropped up in the homebuyers report x
