@BabySquid take some time. Don't go in if I was you x x

MrsR16 · 16/06/2019 20:23

@BabySquid I agree with the other ladies darling, do what's best for you and if that's not going in, then don't go in! Thinking of you xxx

Fivebyfive2 · 16/06/2019 20:45

@babysquid, it's something only you can decide. For me personally, being at work helped, especially during the 'waiting' stage, as it was a distraction; it's OK to want to try and take your mind off everything for a bit... However, if you'd feel better being at home, having You Time, that's also totally fine. I hope you get an appointment tomorrow. Will be thinking of you xxx

Bettythecat · 16/06/2019 21:49

@BabySquid I agree with the others- for me I found being at work traumatic as I just felt so anxious and teary but everyone is different so just do what you feel you want to do 💜. What did the sonographer say to you about it? Did they say it could be a matter of your dates being wrong? Xx

ChaosMoon · 17/06/2019 02:22

@BabySquid and @DayDreamer1707 I'm so sorry for what you're both going through right now. I hope you've got plenty of support around you and I'm crossing everything for a positive outcome.

@Fivebyfive2 I retired on laculose on and off. It can take a day or two to get to a point where it works, so don't worry about it giving you the runs. You'd need a hell of a lot to do that. The dietary changes are the best thing in the long run though. I hope it doesn't get any worse!

ChaosMoon · 17/06/2019 02:23

Awesome news about tlyour BIL @MrsR16. Do they have a date yet? My BIL is getting married in the summer and I can't wait to get DD's outfit!

@Delilah7 it's amazing how long a week can seem isn't it?

I'm good. DD is now 10 weeks in and I think I'm still rubbish at burping her but most things are falling into place! I still get incredibly emotional at times, but then I don't think anything can prepare you for this level of exhaustion. Not just the sleeping but having to be mentally responsible for another, entirely dependant human for every waking - and sleeping -moment of your day. It's unrelenting, but it's absolutely worth it.

This was her taking over my yoga mat for tummy time this morning. 😍

BabySquid · 17/06/2019 06:17

@Bettythecat she asked me if I'm sure my LMP was 1/5 which I'm 100%!! But she didn't ask me how long my cycles are, and they're around 32/33 days. Everything is telling me I'm 6,5 today but if I go on two weeks before I was due to ov then I'll only be 6 tomorrow. She said she doesn't want to get my hopes up but she doesn't usually see something develop if it's not there already at this stage.

Bettythecat · 17/06/2019 07:49

@BabySquid oh I see his is the problem with using LMP isn't it because it's then predicting a day 14 ovulation date which really isn't the case for most people. The EPAU will be able to give you a better idea of what's going on hopefully. If I were you I would give them a ring today if you don't hear from them this morning- being in limbo waiting is just awful. Sending lots of love.

@ChaosMoon what a cutie- what's her name?

Delilah7 · 17/06/2019 07:50

@ChaosMoon it just feels forever.

I've got my grandads funeral today and I'm speaking aswell. Gonna give my bump a little rub at the end so I'll probably end up crying at that point!

She is so so cute!!! All worth it I'm sure 😍 I so hope I can get in the swing of things when he's here. X

purplefig · 17/06/2019 11:12

@Delilah7 big hugs for today. It's lovely that you're going to speak, let us know how you get on.

@ChaosMoon what a cutie! I can't imagine how unrelenting it must be. Are you getting plenty of support from your partner?

@BabySquid @DayDreamer1707 thinking of you both today.

How's everyone's Monday going so far? I had a fun but full on weekend, so other than work I'm going to try and take it a bit quieter this week. My boobs have suddenly ballooned right up and are so sore and I've had a couple of nauseous moments. I'm feeling fine, just more easily tired out that usual.

purplefig · 17/06/2019 11:24

Oh and I also had my first proper pregnancy cryfest yesterday. DH was absolutely wonderful as I dramatically oscillated between weeping and laughing about everything from missing my best friend to the inevitable one-day-death of our 4-year-old dog.

stormtrooperjulian · 17/06/2019 12:21

@BostonFern I realised that it’s only 11 weeks til I get to 37 weeks and technically ‘full term’ and started to panic slightly that we hadn’t bought anything or made any decisions 😂

@BabySquid did you go to work today? I hope you’re doing ok

At what point does ‘baby brain’ kick in? I got to work this morning, went to log in on my work laptop and drew a total blank on two of my passwords 😐

thumper59 · 17/06/2019 13:30

@Delilah7 big hugs for you today xx

@BabySquid thinking of you today too. Xxx

@stormtrooperjulian does it kick in from conception? I have done some stupid things ever since first trimester... but I'm sure I did prior to being pregnant too. 😂

20 weeks exactly today! Feels like such a milestone- so excited for our scan tomorrow ☺️hopefully find out what little bean is!

mrsof20118 · 17/06/2019 15:30

Hoping @BabySquid and @DayDreamer1707 get some answers soon. It's horrible being in limbo and waiting. X
Hope today goes as well as it can @Delilah7 x

I've been walking around with sharp pains down below in between legs at some points today. Not sure if baby has turned from oblique to head down and that's why? X

mrsof20118 · 17/06/2019 15:34

@thumper59 that's gone quick! 20 weeks really is a great milestone. It does go quick after that especially when you get to 30 and really feels like a countdown x

BabySquid · 17/06/2019 15:40

@mrsof20118 I finally got my appointment through, not while Wednesday morning though. I was hoping it would be tomorrow but Wednesday isn't bad, at 8:50 so if everything is ok I can go to work after.

Delilah7 · 17/06/2019 15:53

@purplefig @thumper59 @mrsof20118 thank you ladies.
It was beautiful but obviously very sad. I done my poem but only got shakey voice and teary right at the end. However pregnancy hormones didn't help that. Beautiful day for a beautiful man.
Now it's weird to think the next event will be my little man here! X

MrsR16 · 17/06/2019 17:42

@stormtrooperjulian I've definitely had baby brain since early on!! Some of the things I come out with are absolutely ridiculous...

@thumper59 you must be so excited! I am for you!

@Delilah7 I bet your grandad would be so proud of you 😊 it's not an easy thing to do. I can't listen to Amazing Grace anymore since I lost my grandad (9 years ago!)

@BabySquid at least you have an appointment to concentrate on getting too. I'm sending virtual hugs to you!

Ladies, I think I'm actually going pram shopping tonight! We saw one we liked yesterday but the offer on it expires on Wednesday! Unless anyone can advise that Mothercare usually has offers on and I should wait?

BostonFern · 17/06/2019 17:46

Oh @ChaosMoon she is absolutely adorable! I'm glad to hear you're both doing well.

@Delilah7 It sounds like you did your grandad proud today x

@BabySquid @DayDreamer1707 I hope you're ok today x

@purplefig Monday has been good so far today, but I have not stopped eating! Not had a day like this yet, baby must be having a growth spurt! I hope you manage to get some rest this evening. Oh, I get you on the emotions- mine come from nowhere and for no reason. I just sit and blub and say 'I don't know what's the matter with me'!

@stormtrooperjulian I've told my DP he's only got about twenty weekends left where he can lie in, then he can forget about it for a long time 😂
My baby brain kicked in about week 13, you've done well to get this far!

@thumper59 How exciting to reach 20 weeks. Hope your scan goes well tomorrow.

@MrsR16 Sounds exciting, enjoy buying your pram!

Delilah7 · 17/06/2019 17:58

@MrsR16 thank you! Yes very hard to listen to certain pieces after they've been at a funeral of a loved one xx

@BostonFern I hope so hun x x

EltzBee · 17/06/2019 20:50

@MrsR16 good luck looking at prams! There are usually offers pretty regularly but if you see the one you like at the right price for you go for it.

Had a lovely 3 day weekend for our anniversary. Today we went to a spa, was so nice to have an afternoon just relaxing 😊

Also got my physio appointment through for 10th July. Hopefully my PGP doesn't get much worse in the mean time.

Fivebyfive2 · 18/06/2019 08:00

@delilah7, sounds like you made your grandad proud. Well done for doing the reading, you're a very strong lady! Xx

@stormtrooperjulian, pretty sure my pregnancy brain has already kicked in 😛

@MrsR16, did you get the pram? What are you going for? I'm really excited for when we've had our scan and we can start looking properly into the bigger items!

MrsR16 · 18/06/2019 08:35

@EltzBee @Fivebyfive2 we ended up not getting it! To cut a long story short, they didn't have all the items to create the bundle deal so couldn't honour the price (even with replacing the one item that was out of stock which was the seat liner!) it was just a bit pants and the salesman was desperate for a sale and kept going "oh, it's only another £50!" Well, yes, that might be the case, but your offer states £1075 for everything and you can't do it! Consequently we went home, had a google, and found the same pram in a different colour with the same bundle, bar a slightly different changing bag, for £900! We're looking at the Silver Cross Pioneer, which is just gorgeous xx

Delilah7 · 18/06/2019 08:49

@Fivebyfive2 aww thank you - now just feel exhausted and now got to get my energy up for possible labour this weekend!! lol xx

EltzBee · 18/06/2019 11:40

@MrsR16 what a pain! Mothercare were really good for us, one of our items was on 'pre order' but they still honoured the deal for our furniture. There is a new Mothercare sale starting in two days btw. The silvercross ones look lovely :) they were just heavy for me sadly!
I keep looking at our pram, it makes it feel scarily real lol!

@Delilah7 are you having a C Section this weekend?
