@Fivebyfive2 isn't it the best feeling to know your little un's ok?? 😍 I'm so pleased for you! Xx

Fivebyfive2 · 08/06/2019 19:56

@delilah7 @MRSR16, thank you ladies!! Must admit I'm letting myself get a bit properly excited now we've made it further than before and seen all is well. Hope you gals are both having a nice Saturday?? Xx

On a totally unrelated note, here is pic of our cat, on my lap, with his toy cat on his head 😂

@Fivebyfive2 I have literally done sod all all day! Watched Trooping the Colour this morning and had a film day cuddled on the sofa with DH and the doglet! Your cat is absolutely adorable btw! 😍😍 xx

TrashKitten10 · 09/06/2019 07:57

@Bettythecat Great news your CB digital is showing 3+, that's a good sign everything is progressing well, Sorry you're feeling so anxious though, it's really difficult not knowing what's going on in there and I imagine even more so after a loss. Are you going to have an early scan?

@thumper59 I mainly wear dresses too so have been managing with the things I've got. I've ordered a few maternity dresses but not been overly happy with them, I'll have to check out boohoo.

@BabySquid I remember having some crampy feelings early on but it's supposed to be completely normal as everything stretches. The bloating is a good sign, although not for your jeans button. Great news about your booking appointment :)

@purplefig Congratulations! Enjoy your next nine months ☺️

@Delilah7 You have a lovely bump too! So exciting you'll be meeting your baby so soon.

@Crossfitgirl Sounds like you're getting there with all your organisation. Hopefully your furniture deliveries go more smoothly than they did for @EltzBee! How did you decide to decorate the nursery?

@Cookie0508 Bless you, that must have been a bit scary but good the midwives all took you seriously and reassured you. I think we all worry about making a fuss but it's good to read that they were so kind and supportive.

@CobaltRose96 She's a gorgeous little thing. Love how this thread has new BFPs, mums with 12 week old babies and everyone in between.

@EltzBee Good plan not going to London, that would have been hard going especially with the pain you're experiencing. Hope your referral comes through soon!

@Fivebyfive2 Aww, lovely scan! Glad you're feeling more relaxed and excited about it all.

18+3 today and feeling quite self conscious about my body. I've always struggled with body confidence and yesterday when I tried on some maternity dresses I had a bit of a cry looking at myself. I feel really guilty as I love my little bump but as soon as I put the clothes on I just feel like a fat whale. Maybe I'm not quite 'bumpy' enough yet. Everyone says I look pregnant now but I still feel like I'm at the awkward 'pregnant or chubby' stage. Not helped by the fact I'm quite conscious of my hips as they're big with noticeable hip dips (I'm not selling myself am I?!) and maternity dresses seem to cling to this part. I'm going to get some smoothing underwear to see if that helps but still feel a bit bleugh that every other pregnant lady looks gorgeous and glowing with their bumps on show and I look all lumpy and unattractive! 😢

BabySquid · 09/06/2019 08:10

@TrashKitten10 I totally hear you, as I'm fairly chubby anyway, I'm anxious to see what my bump will look like!! I think I'm just going to look like I've gained more weight!!
Also anxious to see how quickly I grow... in my besties maid of honour in August, and I'll be 14+4 so dreading telling her and also telling her that the dress (which I never wanted anyway 🤢) may not fit me!!

BabySquid · 09/06/2019 08:13

Oh also, I did a CBD this morning (as I've been awake since like 5!) and it said 3+ which has put me as easy a lot! When I MC'd in sept I did a cbd at about this stage (2 days before I started bleeding) and it said I was only 1-2 so obvs my hcg levels weren't where they should have been. So feeling great to say I'm a bit bloated, tired, nauseous, irritable, and emotional 🤣🤣 but i love it 😂

Fivebyfive2 · 09/06/2019 08:35

@babysquid, that's great about the cb digital 🙂 Glad you're feeling more positive xxx

@MrsR16, that sounds like a perfectly good Saturday to me, especially with all the rain yesterday! Xx

Tropicana1 · 09/06/2019 18:59

@Fivebyfive2 how exciting!!! What a lovely little scan picture so happy for you 😊

@BabySquid glad your clear blue digital is showing the 3+ I imagine it's an anxious time with a previous MC but hopefully all your positive signs will help keep your mind at ease!

BostonFern · 09/06/2019 20:11

Just checking in, I've been MIA from here for a while as I've been so snowed under at work.
Congratulations @purplefig and @Bettythecat
@Delilah7 you've got a fab bump there!
@CobaltRose96 she's gorgeous!
Hope you're ok @MrsR16
Oh no @Tropicana1 hope you've been less sick today.
@MrsEG I'm pleased to hear you have a plan x
@Fivebyfive2 What great news on the scan! By the way, are you in the Midlands? Noticed the clinic name at the top of the scan and if it's the same one it's not far from me.
@TrashKitten10 I'm 15+4 and feel like I'm starting to get a bump but that it's more fat than bump, trying to embrace my changing shape but it's hard isn't it.
I've got so many appointments in the next couple of weeks, 4 so far with the midwife and cardiologist-think I'll need a season pass for parking at the hospital! 16 week appointment with the midwife is tomorrow, hoping I get to heat the heartbeat but I've read they don't tend to do that anymore.

Delilah7 · 09/06/2019 21:24

I will update you ladies on my weekend when I'm with it but.... here's a photo from my baby shower 💙
Hope you're all ok! xxx

Fivebyfive2 · 09/06/2019 21:33

@delilah7, gorgeous!! Xx

@BostonFern, yes we are, we live in a town just slightly north of Birmingham! There is a scan studio in our town, but we wanted to go somewhere more midical, in case there was an issue. The place we went to is only about 20 mins in the car and they were brilliant 🙂

Delilah7 · 09/06/2019 21:35

@Fivebyfive2 bloody knackered now babe hahaha xx

MrsR16 · 09/06/2019 21:58

@Delilah7 you look stunning! Considering all the problems you've had, pregnancy really looks good on you! Xx

Delilah7 · 09/06/2019 22:24

@MrsR16 thank you Hun. Means a lot. I now feel absolutely done in xx

BostonFern · 10/06/2019 06:45

@Delilah7 you look stunning!

@Fivebyfive2 what a small world, we are about ten minutes away from where you went!

Delilah7 · 10/06/2019 07:27

@BostonFern thank you so much.
Too kind ladies xxx

stormtrooperjulian · 10/06/2019 08:02

@Fivebyfive2 I’m so glad everything looked good! Your cat is very cute

@TrashKitten10 I’m struggling with my changing body too. I’m 25 weeks now and clearly pregnant but I feel huge and disgusting, I’ve cried on DH a couple of times about it (I blame the hormones for the crying!)

@BabySquid good news about the cbd!

@Delilah7 you look amazing! Did you enjoy your baby shower?

I had my whooping cough jab this morning so that’s one thing sorted. I think we’ve also chosen a pram, purely because it’s the only one on my list that we’ve actually managed to look at in person and I don’t want to buy one without seeing it and folding it down etc first. It’s a bit annoying how difficult it is to actually find places that stock the ones I want to see, I didn’t expect it to be this hard!

BabySquid · 10/06/2019 08:37

@Delilah7 you look great. I love that dress 💙
@stormtrooperjulian I'd def want to fold one away too.

purplefig · 10/06/2019 10:27

@Crossfitgirl thanks! Looking forward to being back on a thread with you and your essays Grin!

@BabySquid The online calculator I used put me at 11th Feb. How're you feeling? My boobs are sore and I keep getting breathless (at night?! when sitting down?!) but other than that, nothing. I've read 6 weeks is when sickness is likely to kick in.

@MrsR16 Christmas Day...that's pretty exciting! I think Christmas time is a lovely time for a birthday, everyone is in a good mood, lots of time off work etc. How was the GP visit?

@Tropicana1 thank you! Someone in the conception group was like "twins?!?!".....aghhrrrr. Sure it's just concentrated overnight wee. How're you getting on?

@Fivebyfive2 Ahhh that's awesome news! How was the internal scan? Will you still have the NHS 12 week scan? Sorry for all the questions...this is very new to me!

@TrashKitten10 Sorry to hear you're feeling self conscious about your body. I've definitely been there in the past and it's not a fun place to be. What about following some positive pregnancy accounts on Instagram? It sounds like a small thing, but normalising a pregnant body could really help with your body image.

@Delilah7 you look so happy!

Well the weekend with my friends was a success; I just told them I was feeling under the weather and wouldn't be drinking and they didn't bat an eyelid. I'm 4+6 (is that the right format?!) today and it doesn't feel real! I don't have many symptoms - just sore boobs, a bit breathless at night and more tired than usual - but I've read they can take a while to kick in.

I just need to ring the Drs now and make that initial appointment. Can you get your Maternity Exemption Certificate at these? I have an eye test and a dentist appointment coming up soon so would be handy!

Bettythecat · 10/06/2019 11:21

@TrashKitten10 sorry for the late reply- have been trying to to be too obsessed with MN! I've got an early scan booked bang on 7 weeks via the EPU- seems that's the earliest they offer. I'm just counting down the days to get there TBH (week on Thursday).

@Delilah7 you're such a pretty lady and what a lovely bump and dress- positively glowing congratulations! Was the shower fun?

@purplefig Glad to hear your no drinking has gone well. I have found it's easier than you think- people don't tend to notice too much as long as you have something that looks vaguely like booze on the go! I had my doctors appointment on Friday and filled in a form at the same time for free prescriptions so likely you will be the same- the doctor I saw last time actually didn't ask me to do this so just ask reception if they don't I reckon.

I'm 5+4 today girls and still no sickness and still worrying about the lack of it 🤦‍♀️ despite everyone's reassurances. I just know this happened last time and it didn't end well 😫.

I'm on another MN thread for Feb due dates and I'm not really enjoying it- lots of people who haven't even been trying and someone else posted they were having doubts about being pregnant. I know everyone's experiences and feelings are equally valid but it's hard to read about when you have been TTC and have had a loss. This thread at least I know you were all just as obsessed as me to get pregnant 😂.

Delilah7 · 10/06/2019 11:26

@stormtrooperjulian thank you! Yes I did just drained now tbh, I was on my feet all day and my SPD was playing up. Plus little man dropped ( belly wise ) and it was just even worse 😂 what pram you going for?? Xxx

@BabySquid thank you! ASOS. Apart from boobies kept making an appearance 😂 xx

@purplefig thank you!! I don't know if the exemption comes when you're a certain amount of weeks. I can't remember xx

@Bettythecat awwww, lovely thing for you too say. Don't feel glowing I felt massive in some of the other pictures but I guess that's because I'm used to a smallish frame! it was great fun. I loved being apart of it and helping pick things and set up, he got spoilt rotten and if I'm honest I have no idea where it's all going to go 😂😂😂 stick to this thread girl. We all understand. However I will say, don't wish to have the sickness 😂😂. My friends 20 weeks and still hasn't had any so it's not always a sign like you felt it was before xxxx

BabySquid · 10/06/2019 11:34

@Bettythecat I've just been taking to my friend who's 17 weeks and has felt nothing except sore boobs and hips, and has had heartburn... no sickness or food aversions at all!! Also my bestie didn't have any sickness either, just felt a bit nauseous around 8 weeks a couple of times. You may be one of the lucky ones.

I've just turned my nose up at a lovely cuppa tea, usually I drink about 4 cups or decaf tea a day but this one just isn't doing anything for me at all, it stinks, and it tasted just horrid (it's not the milk coz my decaf coffee was fine!) I'm 5+5 today. Super excited about our early scan on Saturday.

purplefig · 10/06/2019 11:55

@Bettythecat Oh cool I'll do that then. Still need to book my appointment. What do they do at it? Yeah I had a quick look on that thread and decided not to post yet. Might do in a few months when it's settled down a bit?

@Delilah7 I'll ask at the doctors :)

@BabySquid Me too!! I've had to cut out my morning coffee, but I don't even want it. DH has been making me tea instead but I don't even want that. I turned down a cup he made this morning and he said "that is such a pregnant woman thing to do" Grin.

Bettythecat · 10/06/2019 12:08

@purplefig yep I'm going to take a bit of a step back from it for a while and just stick to here and keeping an eye on the TTC thread 👀. He just weighed me and took blood pressure and asked a few questions nothing major really. And I also had to take my urine sample to the chemist down the road to do a test and stamp my form to say it was positive. It was annoying actually as I had to go back later in the day for a second appointment to do that so was away from my (WFH) desk for ages which was a bit stressful. First time round they didn't make me do that so think it depends on the doctor as well as the area.

@BabySquid @Delilah7- thank you that helps. I know everyone with morning sickness probably wants to hit me over the head with a blunt object for these comments but I just can't help but worry! My logical brain also knows that the lack of sickness could have had nothing to do with the loss- people have losses and feel sick and people have sickness and stay pregnant. It could just be that I'm not someone who gets it?! Who knows!

thumper59 · 10/06/2019 12:38

@Delilah7 you look beautiful!
