@EltzBee that sounds like a great plan! I wish I could work from home 🙈 xxx

@Fivebyfive2 it's great to hear from you!! i have absolutely everything crossed for you that this time will be plain sailing! ❤️ xxx

Fivebyfive2 · 29/05/2019 18:31

@MrsR16, thanks sweet! It's so weird, we keep saying we won't get carried away until 12 weeks and then just today I had to stop myself looking up if there any baby shows coming up 😛

MrsR16 · 29/05/2019 18:33

@Fivebyfive2 I think you're allowed! Sounds silly, but do you feel ok? My mum always said that as long as you feel alright, baby should be fine. She had 7 miscarriages and just knew that my eldest sister would "work" somehow! She can't explain it xx

mrsof20118 · 29/05/2019 18:46

@cobaltRose96 so cute. Happy birthday too x

Fivebyfive2 · 29/05/2019 19:02

@MrsR16, I mean, I definitely feel 'different' this time, but honestly am trying not to over think it! Just gonna try and listen to my body and see how everything goes up until the scan. Xx

MrsR16 · 29/05/2019 19:05

@Fivebyfive2 well that's awesome! 😊 how long have you got, do you know? Xx

Fivebyfive2 · 29/05/2019 19:37

@MrsR16, my booking in apt is Monday, I'll be 12 weeks around 30th June so hopefully around then?! We're meant to be going away on 20th June for a week, but want to ask the midwife. I know I'm being dramatic, but a bit worried if something should happen and we're away from home. Probably worrying over nothing really! Xx

MrsR16 · 29/05/2019 20:44

@Fivebyfive2 oh bless ya... I don't blame you for worrying! It will be fine though 😊 having a week away (although I was 5 weeks at the time) was just the best thing ever! Just me, DH and the dog! Where are you going? Xx

ChaosMoon · 30/05/2019 01:22

@Crossfitgirl I'm giving expressed milk. I use the bumblebee pump, not an electric one. It's been great. I use it once a day while I'm feeding her and that gives me enough for a bottle every 3 days. (I could get more if I just squeezed the pump more than once, but that's enough for me. I rarely even wear it for a full feed, so it's really effective.)

I don't know about fully recovered, but it's more about doing pelvic floor exercises and generally getting back into shape than anything else. Buggylates starts on Monday!

I'm sorry about your grandad @Delilah7. I know how much he means to you. And gutted to hear about Ethan's heart. It's not a foregone conclusion though and, as the others have said, Doctors can work miracles these days. You're amazing and you'll get him through it.

@stormtrooperjulian I tried wearing a really fitted outfit so I wouldn't have to tell everyone - think bodycon dress. The women noticed but we're to polite to say. The men didn't notice at all. (I'm a size 8 and I was over 23weeks so my bump was very obvious.) At our work Christmas do, one of the guys even made an "oh no your not pregnant are you?" joke because I wasn't drinking. I just looked at my bump and collapsed laughing. I've never seen anyone look more mortified!

Happy birthday @CobaltRose96. Time is flying isn't it?

We adore our chair @EltzBee. It's a safe space, as you say but also she loves to sit in there and play with us as she can see us while having a tiny bit of freedom.

I completely understand why you'd worry @Fivebyfive2. Getting excited won't change the outcome though so don't feel bad if you get excited. I have everything crossed for you.

Delilah7 · 30/05/2019 06:10

@ChaosMoon you're too kind xxxxxxx

EltzBee · 30/05/2019 12:12

@ChaosMoon I love your Christmas party story, that's really funny! Poor chap LOL. Which bouncy chair did you go for out of interest? I saw mothercare do an own brand one for £25 which is a battery powered bouncer, but no idea really what to look for!

Our wardrobe was meant to come today for the nursery. Well, half the wardrobe has arrived..... I've already rang up and complained, got through to someone rather useless who didn't seem to understand why, having already had to wait home for 4 separate deliveries for our nursery furniture order, I was now annoyed at having to wait for an unspecified amount of time for a 5th time! Spoke to someone else who is meant to give me a call back before 4.30 this afternoon with an update....at least he understood why I was annoyed/upset and that it was a very poor experience.

Wanted to get the wardrobe built this weekend so annoyed that now we can't.

Tropicana1 · 30/05/2019 14:43

@stormtrooperjulian I'm 8 weeks, just feeling so rubbish all the time! Hope I have the sale luck as you and it goes away around 11 weeks @EltzBee that sounds tough having it for so long! Glad to know I'm not alone though

@Fivebyfive2 ah I do envy you with the lack of nausea, not so much the wind though haha! I'm so exhausted too, get home from work and I'm just done!

@MrsR16 so glad to hear that everything's looking good you must be so relieved 😊

mrsof20118 · 30/05/2019 16:59

So had my 31 week appointment today and bump is measuring a whopping 35cm. Got to have a glucose test Monday and possibly a referral for growth at some point.

EltzBee · 30/05/2019 17:01

@Tropicana1 fingers crossed yours goes soon! On the plus side I lost weight in the first few months so there are some benefits?! lol

Just walked down to the pharmacy to get some gaviscon, as heartburn was getting so bad! Fingers crossed - I've never used it before. It says mint on it so how bad can it be, right...

Still waiting to find out when we'll be getting the other half of our wardrobe, they're waiting for the warehouse to confirm so waiting again now for a call tomorrow - they said it might be another 10 working days.

mrsof20118 · 30/05/2019 17:41

@EltzBee that's so frustrating about the wardrobe. Really peeves me when deliveries are wrong x

MrsR16 · 30/05/2019 18:24

@Tropicana1 it really is a huge relief! Less than 2 weeks to go till my dating scan now, and by all accounts I'll be 13 weeks rather than 12! I'm excited to see Peanut again 😂 I hope you start feeling better soon! xx

Fivebyfive2 · 30/05/2019 19:28

@Tropicana1, omg the wind is unreal, especially in the morning! Dh says it's like waking up to a demon! I hope your sickness eases off soon. Xx

@eltzbee, hope you got on OK with the gaviscon. It is a bit sickly, but not too bad, I used to have to take it all the time when I was younger... Will probably need to start having it again as I get more pregnant!!

@MrsR16, we're going to Bratislava! About 3 hours on the plane, so not too bad. We have a nice hotel booked, so can swap between sight seeing and relaxing. Originally when we booked, we thought I'd be about 5 months, so past the danger zone, early enough to still fly. But now I'll only be about 10 weeks. We'll almost certainly go, unless the midwife says otherwise, which I doubt will happen. Just need to not over think!! Xx

Had some good news today. The company work for has been looking for new offices for ages and some of the sites they've looked at have been miles out the way, which would be difficult as I don't drive. Anyway, they've sorted somewhere and it's still really local, will probably be able to walk to work! Which is ace and such a relief 🙂

MrsR16 · 30/05/2019 19:53

@Fivebyfive2 sounds amazing! That'll be a wonderful balance of holidaying and relaxing (lord knows I don't properly relax on hols! Far too busy doing stuff!). That's also great news about your work! Xx

EltzBee · 31/05/2019 10:00

@Fivebyfive2 I'm sure you'll be fine and have a lovely time, just go and enjoy yourselves!

27 weeks today, so last week of the 2nd trimester now. Eek.

What's everyone got planned for the weekend? I'm thinking 'sleep!'

DayDreamer1707 · 31/05/2019 10:05

Morning ladies, really hoping for some positive advice. In 6 weeks today but when I went to the loo there was THE tiniest bit of pink mixed in with first wee and then when I went the loo later CM. I'm freaking out massively as this feels like what happened last time when I had a MMC. I know it can be common but I can't help but worry 😔. Shall I call the pregnancy unit for reassurance as I know there isn't anything they can do....

EltzBee · 31/05/2019 10:37

@DayDreamer1707 firstly, sending hugs. I would give the pregnancy unit and your GP a call and explain, also telling them that you've had a problem before that sadly resulted in a loss. They might well say that you need to keep an eye on it, but some units will book in for a early scan about 7 weeks, so there's the chance if you ring now they might be able to give you advise and potentially arrange something earlier?

I know how hard it is, but please also try not to panic. Like you said, some bleeding can be normal and surprisingly common in early pregnancy, so try not to assume the worst as hard as it is right now.

Cervical fluid does change quite a bit in early pregnancy too (some women do feel like there is 'lots' of it early on especially).

Please do give them a ring - they are there to help and will be able to give you the best advise - try the midwife unit and your GP to see if one of them will refer you for extra help. I would be completely honest with them and explain what is happening and about what happened in the past, as some NHS Trusts do things differently if women have had problems before.

Sending hugs and best wishes, please try to keep positive and we're all here if you need to talk, rant, or need a virtual hug xx

mrsof20118 · 31/05/2019 11:19

@DayDreamer1707 I had the same thing happen for this pregnancy after a loss. The midwives weren't that interested but called gp to explain the anxiety around it and they took a pregnancy test and referred me for an early scan at the hospital. Also did hcg levels to check they were increasing. Annoyingly every Trust is different but worth a go at calling to put mind at ease x

DayDreamer1707 · 31/05/2019 11:44

Thanks so much @EltzBee and @mrsof20118 I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it it's been tiny of an amount. Now I'm back to feeling massively nauseous which I never had last time but have been having it on and off for a week now. I think need to relax like you have both said and the OH has said. Just keep an eye on things and maybe call the unit for reassurance xx

EltzBee · 31/05/2019 17:16

@DayDreamer1707 how are you feeling now hun? Hope the nausea isn't too bad and that you're feeling a bit better about things. Did you manage to get hold of the GP or unit at all?

Still waiting for the 2nd half of our nursery wardrobe - they can't even confirm yet if it will be next week, grr.

Fivebyfive2 · 31/05/2019 17:31

@DayDreamer1707, hope you're feeling OK hun, try to rest up a bit and see how you go, but if you are really worried definitely give the gp or pregnancy unit a call xxx

So, it seems that now I'm at 8 weeks, I'm wavering on whether to have an early scan or not! Before I didn't want one, but now I'm wondering if it could be worth just checking all is progressing OK... Or will that just set us up for a fall if something goes wrong in between?! I'm over thinking for sure!! Xx
