Hi ladies,
Excited to say that today I got my BFP and am due 1st January 2020!
This will be my third baby but my partners first. I have two children aged 9 & 7 from a previous relationship.
Anyone else due around New Year? Sticky beans to all! 😀💗💙

Congratulations! I’m due Xmas day

Chantalle3 · 27/04/2019 07:43

Congratulations! My EDD is coming up as 5th January. First baby and feel incredibly lucky as first cycle off the pill - so equally terrified that it's too good to be true. Made the mistake of reading stats on miscarriages! Blush

plipliop · 27/04/2019 07:48

Hi everyone!
I'm due on the 7th with no 3!

plipliop · 27/04/2019 07:49

My 2 boys will be 12 and 10 by then!

Maybenextmonth · 27/04/2019 16:57

Hi ladies, Congratulations to you all. I got my positive today and according to last period am due 1st Jan. Such early days and I previously had a miscarriage so am a bit nervous.

SamT210 · 28/04/2019 10:48

Can I join? Congrats OP, I got my BFP Friday, 1st baby, cycle 1, in a very similar situation to you @Chantalle3.. trying to get clued up but actually scaring myself silly 🤭

Chantalle3 · 28/04/2019 11:07

Congratulations @maybenextmonth and @SamT210!

I'm not sure whether it's been a good thing or bad thing reading up @SamT210. I thought I was pretty clued up before TTC but now I feel like I was completely naive before reading and worry a lot. Partner keeps saying "what will be, will be" and I know he's right but it's hard.

I've booked an early scan at 7 weeks for piece of mind. 12 weeks feels SO far away of not knowing what's going on.

There's a bigger group of January EDD's in a group in Antenatal clubs. Come over and join us Smile

Chantalle3 · 28/04/2019 11:16

*peace of mind

SamT210 · 28/04/2019 17:06

@Chantalle3 thanks I'll head over there, I feel like I knew most things, but now it's here I'm like what the hell! When do I call the doctors? When do I speak to work (because I have a really physically demanding job), when do we tell the in-laws who were soon going on holiday with? But all I keep thinking is I don't want to take these steps if it isn't going to work out. Eugh.. Feel like I'm losing the plot..

LizzieZara · 28/04/2019 17:10

Congratulations!! My due date looks to be the 3rd Jan. I'll be booked in for a csection I guess a week before but still a January baby for now. So exciting to hear of so many ladies in the exact same position as myself. I have spent the past week terrified but I'm going to stay positive from now on. Only 8 months to go!

Rastawife9 · 28/04/2019 21:10

Hi all can i join. Just got my bfp although a little more faint than i would have liked but im around 15 dpo. I have had 2 misccarages so praying this bean sticks. Feeling super tired. Soreish boobs. But had a slight tinge to the toilet paper when iv wiped. Freaking out slighty..ahh. anyone experincing the same?

Maybenextmonth · 29/04/2019 06:23

Congratulations everyone! Do you find it all feels so surreal, whether you've been here or not before. I get so happy and carried away but have to bring myself back down to earth and remind myself how early it is!

@Chantalle3 I think I'm going to do the same and book and early scan, it's all so terrifying!

@SamT210 I'm in the same boat!! Going on holiday with the in-laws next Tuesday for a week. I'll only be, what, 5 weeks!? So I really didn't want to tell them but can't see a way of getting around it. I'm not one to sit and not have a drink when everyone else is ordinarily. Are you going to tell them?

I was freaking out last night as I had a bit of pain on the right hand side and convinced myself it is ectopic. I had normal implantation pains last week which were central, not to one side, so trying to tell myself everything's okay.

How's everyone feeling?

SamT210 · 29/04/2019 07:06

@Maybenextmonth yeah we're going to tell them, it's meant to be a boozy week away, so they need to know really hahah, I'm feeling okay. Just feel so bloated all the time, how're you?

Maybenextmonth · 29/04/2019 08:47

@SamT210 Yeah same! I might just say we're trying (they know this anyway) and therefore have decided I'm not drinking. They may have suspicions but they won't know for sure.

That's good. Have you got any symptoms? I'm just driving myself crazy with worry. I've been having pains, which could be implantation, but I thought I had that last week and didn't think it could happen again!? Have convinced myself it's not good but know I need to stop!!

LizzieZara · 29/04/2019 13:00

I had a days drinking session in Leeds planned in for the Saturday just gone. I managed to convince all the girls I was on antibiotics for a water infection.. I need to pee every two minutes anyway these days so feel I got away with it!

Chantalle3 · 29/04/2019 13:19

@maybenextmonth I feel like I am freaking out constantly! Stressed constantly and then stressed that I'm stressed and should be relaxed! Hmm I'm also feeling its surreal. Want to tell everyone but keep being reminded that it's all still so tentative.

I've told my parents and siblings. I think I'll want some support if the worst happens.

Does anyone else feel like the days are going by SO slowly now we all are waiting to get to a scan and in the safer zone?

Bayleyf · 29/04/2019 14:54

Chantelle I'm SO with you on the worry. I feel I can't start to get excited yet as it's all so theoretical!

Maybenextmonth · 29/04/2019 16:05

@Chantalle3 and @Bayleyf glad I'm not alone on the worry. I think my husband gets sick of me when I voice my concerns to him too much! Mind you, I get sick of myself!

Yeah the days go really slow. I just want to be further along so I can have a scan etc. I'll defo pay for an early one.

good idea telling a couple of people. I haven't told anyone yet but fear I'll have to tell The In-laws as we go on holiday with them next week.

Chantalle3 · 29/04/2019 16:31

@maybenextmonth ha! I hear you about being sick of myself worrying. @bayleyF I agree!

I've booked an early one, fx we make it and get to see a heartbeat!

We went on holiday with the in-laws whilst TTC so had already switched to decaff, non-alcoholic beers etc. I didn't notice any raised eyebrows but I didn't make a big deal about it, just waited until it was mentioned and then just said I was on a detox diet and trying to cut out caffeine, alcohol and sugar. My partner had made the switch to decaff and sweeteners as well which helped! Fortunately non-alcoholic beers/drinks tend to also have fewer calories so it backed me up! Smile They will know what its like though so hopefully they won't ask if you haven't said anything even if they do guess!

SamT210 · 29/04/2019 20:22

It's so nice to hear I'm not the only one experiencing these crazy thoughts every time I get a twinge.. I've made my contact with the midwife today although my appointment isn't until the 23rd of may which seems like an age away.. can any of you ladies fill me in as to what I should expect at this appointment.. she said over the phone it's a 1.5hr appt? 🤨

Chantalle3 · 29/04/2019 21:21

@SamT210 I made my referral to our midwives but apparently they might not get in contact till 8 weeks anyway!
I think your booking in appointment is a lot of fact finding and starting all your notes etc and getting you booked in for your 12 week scan. I've attached a pic out of one of the pregnancy books - hopefully its readable!

Rastawife9 · 29/04/2019 22:02

Hey all. Was wondering if anyone was having a slight tinge when wiping. Sorry TMI im just in constant worry as have had previous miscarrages.

Chantalle3 · 29/04/2019 22:15

I haven't yet @Rastawife9 but I'm 99% sure that I read you can have spotting around the time your period was due and it's just the embryo getting nestled in still. I think it's only a cause for concern if you've got severe cramps and it's a good amount of fresh red. Try not to worry! I know it's hard but worrying will make it all so stressful.

Iv just been super tired not sure when the sickness usually sinks in. My clear blue said 1-2 weeks. Im about 17-18dpo. Super early i think.baby dust xx
