Hello! I’ve hurt added my due date to the google docs, hope that’s right!!
I’m 23 and due 20th November with first baby. Very excited but also terrified of everything I do at the moment. 🙈
Just wondering if anyone else is showing yet? I’m convinced I have the start of a bump but relatives are telling me it’s not possible this early!!!

L0ULEW · 21/04/2019 20:25

@callieasdfghjkl welcome hun! I'm due on 16th Nov and I very much have a bloated bump. Comes and goes depending on the day but you will be getting bigger now but more likely to be bloated rather than baby at this point 🙈

callieasdfghjkl · 21/04/2019 20:31

@L0ULEW thank you!! ahhh, I had thought as much! I was hoping I could say baby as opposed to bloat though to make myself feel better 😂

L0ULEW · 21/04/2019 20:35

@callieasdfghjkl won't be long 😁 have you had a scan, maybe you have twins at which point it could be babies not bloat 😂

callieasdfghjkl · 21/04/2019 20:37

@L0ULEW Yes, we decided early scan was needed as both convinced the belly might have meant twins, but just the one baby there ☺️

tigsyboo · 22/04/2019 07:33

Hi guys
What's the Facebook group link?? Xx

jacquesjacques · 22/04/2019 08:39

Morning @tigsyboo it's www.facebook.com/groups/810119422687398/?ref=share

BobbySD345 · 22/04/2019 09:02

Thanks guys. I think you are right that the holiday will be a nice break. We have annual travel insurance so I will definitely check that pregnancy is covered ! It looks as if there are lots of hospitals nearby which hopefully we won't need...

...someone mentioned about being queasy on the plane, this will be a problem for me because I get very travel sick and usually take a prescription for vertigo/anti-sickness which I bet I can't take! I'll check with the GP.

Someone said about "beige food" (my dad's favourite phrase when picking at mine and OH's diet lol)...but it is all I want ! Fish fingers, baked beans, potato croquettes ...yum!

Pollypocket5 · 22/04/2019 10:15

Morning ladies, I woke up this morning and when I went to the toilet and wiped there was blood. At first there seemed to be loads (I don't think there actually was just me freaking out) I have waited and went to the toilet again and nothing.

Any suggestions?

Aph413 · 22/04/2019 11:40

@Pollypocket5 have you got a midwife yet? If so you could give her a call for advice or even 111 if you're concerned.
Hope everything is all ok for you.

Mintypea5 · 22/04/2019 17:01

@Pollypocket5 I had similar this morning but I suspect sex is to blame.

If you've not had anymore and no pain maybe call epu / midwife tomorrow for advise but likely they'll say it's normal and fine. It's always worrying when it happens!

Pollypocket5 · 22/04/2019 19:46

Thankyou @Mintypea5. I am still spotting but it is just when I wipe. I'm going to give my midwife a call tomorrow and see what she says.

When should I start worrying more?

Mintypea5 · 22/04/2019 19:54

@Pollypocket5 it's not an easy question to answer! I bleed lots and often pregnancy and everything was fine.

Try stay positive lovely it's most likely all fine. Hopefully the epu can check you over xx

Sunshineface123 · 22/04/2019 20:30

Ahh Polly try not to worry it's really Normal in early preg. But give your midwife a call tomorrow to put your mind at rest.

Anyone else back to work tomo? Teacher here so the two weeks off to rest and feel ill in peace has been great!

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 22/04/2019 20:35

if I join the facebook group, will it show up on my profile or anything that I've joined?

Haven't told anyone yet, wont be for a good while and I don't want my ex (we have mutual friends) finding out and saying something to the kids before I'm ready.

LazyDaisy99 · 22/04/2019 20:52

Lurking in the shadows here... I'm 35 due 27/11 with #2. Very nervous after a tricky time first time round.

jacquesjacques · 22/04/2019 20:58

Hi @BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil - nope it's totally private. Won't show anywhere Smile

LazyDaisy99 · 22/04/2019 21:19

Awkward situation - my sister is planning her September wedding and currently ordering me a bridesmaid dress, don't want to tell her baby news till after 12 week scan so currently playing it cool and saying don't rush the decision! Grin

Got a life hack for the first timers - when your trousers are starting to get a bit tight, instead of switching straight to maternity wear, use a hair bobble looped round the button hole and button to give you an extra inch or so round the middle with a long top. At nearly 9 weeks I'm already doing this!

AcatcalledGary · 22/04/2019 21:20

@Sunshineface123 we broke up on the 12th so I have another week. On the down side we don’t benefit from any of the Easter bank holidays. Good luck for tomorrow!

I’m actually happy to say that my exhaustion and sickness have come back today. I was starting to get extremely worried about the lack of symptoms since about the beginning of week 9. I’m currently 10+5. Never thought I’d be pleased about those pregnancy symptoms but it is reassuring I have to say.

Sunshineface123 · 22/04/2019 21:29

Thanks acatcalledGary! Ooh enjoy another week how lovely!

bearface45 · 22/04/2019 21:44

LazyDaisy99 Welcome, also nervous about #2 here. Due 14.11 and still feeling pretty rubbish

JoJoSaysHello · 22/04/2019 22:08

@AcatcalledGary Glad it's not only me!

I'm 10w today and haven't had any symptoms for the past four days - have been trying not to worry and a quick google assures me it's normal. I just don't know how it can be... There is a prune sized human growing inside me, surely I should feel something?!? I'll enjoy my break from the nausea while it lasts anyway! (And count down until the reassurance of the 12 week scan!)

Preggosaurus9 · 23/04/2019 01:08

@LazyDaisy99 go for an empire line with full pleated skirt?! Grin

tigsyboo · 23/04/2019 07:35

@LazyDaisy99 ..... just my input but is there no way you can tell your sister? And are you SURE you want to be a bridesmaid at 7 months pregnant??
I had a bridesmaid do this to me after her scan and although I was obviously pleased for her it was bloody frustrating that it was back to square 1 with bridesmaid dress shopping for all 4 bridesmaids that was supposedly all sorted- as the style picked was a real no-go for a 7 month pregnant woman!
In the end I actual wish she had just said she couldn't do it from the start, and I know she feels the same but felt she couldn't say as had already agreed. She told a mutual friend after the wedding if she could have pulled out a week before and gone and brought a comfy maternity dress she would have - I wish she had told me because it would have been fine if she had told me at the start. She was uncomfortable in the dress and shoes all day, and she was in tears when the photos came out saying she looked horrific.
Just something to think about. Xx

tigsyboo · 23/04/2019 07:41

@LazyDaisy99 @Preggosaurus9 this was the problem - no 'non pregnant' bridesmaids want to be seen wearing a dress that's not flattering to them, and the PG bridesmaid wanted something like this. And I didn't want my bridesmaids wearing different dresses - it wasn't easy!!
I think she also under estimated how big she would get, and although obviously PG and not fat... she didn't feel very nice standing next to size 10 friends in the same dress! If she had gone out and brought a lovely maternity dress that fitted and suited her with shoes she felt comfortable in, and not been a bridesmaid- I'm sure she would have felt (and tbh looked) a hell of a lot better.
