Hello @Hayesdays, welcome to the club!

I have exactly the same with my bump, sometimes not so big, other times super pregnant! ☺️ definitely does look bigger at the end of the day too (though that might have to do with how much I'm eating!)

HeartvsHead · 29/05/2019 12:02

Had my 16 week appointment this morning (at 17+4). Heard baby's heartbeat which was nice. I've had an awful stomach bug last few days so reassuring to know it hasn't affected little one!

My bump is much smaller after a few days of not being able to eat so I guess a fair bit of it was bloating/water retention!

Farmmum7 · 29/05/2019 16:49

Mine is the same but there's always a small bump in the morning so it can't all be food!!
I wouldn't mind but sometimes the bloat can be so uncomfortable like I might explode!
@Hayesdays yours is alot neater than mine there's like a line where the bump ends and the bloat/chub just hangs over 😂

LittleAndOften · 29/05/2019 18:37

Ha I'm ginormous! I've gone up 2 dress sizes already. Mainly because in the first 3 months eating was the only thing that stopped me feeling sick. Along with bloating I probably look about 6 months not 4!

bearface45 · 29/05/2019 19:43

I don’t really have a bump yet - bit disappointed really! 16 weeks tomorrow

Hayesdays · 29/05/2019 20:03

Haha thanks @farmmum7 I’m not sure how long the neatness will last as my appetite has definitely returned now!

@LittleAndOften @bearface45 I think it’s amazing how different everyone looks at similar times during pregnancy. Even the babies themselves look so different, 2 of my friends are having babies and our 12 week scans look crazily different. You can already see their little features are unique. Feeling very lucky to be experiencing it all Smile

LittleAndOften · 29/05/2019 20:18

@Hayesdays you're right. The facial features on our 12 week scan looked exactly like DS! We couldn't believe how clearly we could see the likeness.

I'm just worried I'm going to need to be wheeled around in a trolley if I keep growing at this rate Grin

Leleophants · 29/05/2019 21:04

Did you get 3d scans? I can barely see the face on mine!

bearface45 · 29/05/2019 21:04

Hi thats true, I think the baby has the same nose as our daughter from the scan x

LittleAndOften · 29/05/2019 22:10

@lelophants no just a really good machine! So much more detail than with DS1.

RainhamRosie · 30/05/2019 07:18

I feel massive at the moment. Only 15+5 but I went to a bbq on Sunday and every one said I was carrying big 😳 this is baby #1 so I have no marker, I thought this might be about right. I want to start looking at maternity clothes but feel it might still be too early!

I'm also losing appetite and can only manage half of what's in front of me. But that's a relief as for the first 10 weeks I had to graze beige food all day to keep the nausea at bay.

That’s a lovely bump @RainhamRosie I’m looking forward to rocking the maxi dresses...hopefully this weekend if the weather forecast is anything to go by!

@Leleophants @LittleAndOften mine was just a 2D too, it’s the shape of the heads, nose, chin and little bodies that all looked so different...and mine had long legs too!

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 30/05/2019 12:22

I feel bloody massive this time round! Granted I’m about 2.5 stone heavier starting out than I was with my last but I feel like a hippo. At the end of the day I look like someone inflated me! I’ll be 16w Saturday so I’m going to dig out my pregnancy photos from the same gestation with the other three just to laugh at myself!

VickyCare · 30/05/2019 17:22

Hi all
Just found this thread, I'm due on 16th November with my first pregnancy and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing!
Wanted to say hi 👋

Zarara · 31/05/2019 06:46

Hey, how is everyone doing? Is anyone getting an early sex scan? Or finding out at 20weeks? I wasn’t going to find out again as I loved the suprise first time around but yesterday we got all my sons old stuff out of the loft and there is so much, the thought about sorting it out later seems overwhelming. So we’ve booked an sex scan for tomorrow! I’m excited.

OhMarnie · 31/05/2019 09:02

@Zarara we had one yesterday! We are having a girl 🥰💓 I just couldn't wait any longer to find out. It does feel nice now that we can refer to her as 'she' and feels like she has more of an identity. I totally get why people would want a surprise too but I'm just way too impatient!

TrashKitten10 · 31/05/2019 09:17

@RainhamRosie You've got a lovely bump!

@OhMarnie A girl! Lovely news ☺️ I'm getting impatient now for the 20 week scan to find out what we are having :)

Hayesdays · 31/05/2019 10:15

I also can’t wait to find out! But my hospital doesn’t tell you at 20 weeks so I’m finding out at 16 weeks at a private scan...2 weeks to go!!! Eeek!!! I’m not really bothered either way, I’m already totally in love with ‘it’(!!) but I just can’t wait to find out who’s in there. I think it will make it feel a bit more real somehow. Smile

Farmmum7 · 31/05/2019 11:00

We're still toying with the idea of it id love the surprise when it's born but at the same time the kids are desperate to find out...although my DS said if it's a girl he's going to dig himself a hole sit in it and cry 😂

@LittleAndOften your scan looks amazing was that only at 12 weeks?

I managed a whole day yesterday pill free and I managed to wear jeans today without feeling like I might suffocate I think week 14 might be my turning point...I hope!!

Zarara · 31/05/2019 12:45

OhMarnie congratulations on your little girl. I’m hoping finding out will help narrow down the name choices.

OhMarnie · 31/05/2019 15:33

@Zarara yes definitely makes name choosing easier! Has anyone got any names in mind already?

Mintypea5 · 31/05/2019 16:05

DH wants a surprise so team yellow here ... we have picked names tho for both sex. So excited.

DH family is already trying to guess the names. I don't mind
Telling but DH wants to keep it between us

LittleAndOften · 31/05/2019 19:04

@Farmmum7 yes that was 12+5 it's so clear isn't it!

@ohmarnie congratulations on your little girl! We're going to find out this time, but I haven't had my scan date through yet. I'm 17w today.

DS (3) has already named baby "George" after George in Peppa Pig, whether its a boy or a girl! Grin

LittleAndOften · 31/05/2019 19:10

@mintypea5 we're keeping names to ourselves, as I think it's really off-putting if anyone pulls a face when they hear your choices!

Some of my older relatives don't approve of the shortened version of DS's name that we use, so they call him their version, which he doesn't respond to haha Grin

blizzard88 · 31/05/2019 20:56

We're struggling to pick boys names, at least we should have about another 24 weeks to think about it!
