I'm sorry 15+4 and my tiredness finally calmed down this week but in previous pregnancies I've been knackered all the time so just depends I guess

BobbySD345 · 27/05/2019 15:11

I went shopping with my Mum and Sister yesterday and we only did Primark, M&S and Asda but I slept for 3 hours when we got back ! I can usually shop all day. So sleepy all the time Zzzz !

BobbySD345 · 27/05/2019 15:12

Is anyone finding out the sex around week 16? X

Farmmum7 · 27/05/2019 15:19

My letter says if I'm low risk I'll only get the one scan and it's at 16 weeks I don't know if we want to find out yet but if it's the only chance I might see if the sonographer could write it down and put it in an envelope so we have a bit more time to think. The kids are desperate to know and I don't know if it'll be easier to buy things before it's born because it's so far to the shops that I don't know I'll be up for a big shopping trip when it's born specially when it'll be so busy with christmas shopping then. Are you finding out @BobbySD345

blizzard88 · 27/05/2019 15:33

We already know (needed genetic tests, so could choose to find out early). I'm too impatient to wait 9 months to find out!

HeartvsHead · 27/05/2019 15:51

I'm finding I'm not noticing the tiredness as much this time round. Toddler keeps me so busy I'm not napping like I did first time round but seem to be surviving. I'm 17+2 now though so maybe it's just passed.

Currently however in bed as toddler had a bug Fri&Sat so was up a lot in the night then I have come down with it today. Great bank holiday weekend!

We didn't find out the sex with first so won't this time (all our newborn stuff is unisex anyway!).

BobbySD345 · 27/05/2019 17:16

@FarmMum7 we would like to find out and we plan to go to the private scan unit in a week or so.
We had a scan at just over 12 weeks and the sonograoher was adamant it was a girl then we went on Saturday and a different sonigraoher was adamant it is a boy... So I'm worried as to how accurate it will be at 16 weeks ! That's my only reservation and whether to just wait until 20 weeks + ??

We have a few unisex newborn bits and there are some lovely things out there but I would like to know boy or girl for some of the bigger items we will need to buy !

BobbySD345 · 27/05/2019 17:17

I seem to have an issue with typing the word "sonographer" properly !

PrayingandHoping · 27/05/2019 17:44

Is anyone else having appetite issues? I'm 16+4. One day I'll eat constantly and then it'll be normal and then I'll have a day when I literally want to eat nothing. Not nauseous just no appetite (not my usual self, I love food!). I was out today and by 10.30 hadn't eaten anything and knew I needed to, stood at a nice looking burger van type thing with lots of choice and literally wanted nothing! I "liked" everything on the menu! I ate half a bacon roll and took 4 hours to eat a danish bun! Ridiculous lol!

I do feel better when I've forced myself to eat but argh it's hard to force! Been like this for couple weeks now..

Farmmum7 · 27/05/2019 18:42

I was wondering about accuracy. I haven't got anything left from them though as we moved so much and thought we were sticking with 2 so I'm starting from scratch It'd be nice to get a few things in advance for Christmas too I'm hoping to have that sorted before I pop so come December I can hibernate and be stress free. Have you booked the private scan already? Some hospitals won't tell you at your 20 weeks scan ours didn't with our 2nd you had to pay £50 for a private scan with them to find out. The woman at our early scan here asked if we're going to find out after passing over its groin so I assume it won't be a problem if we want to know.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 27/05/2019 21:14

Ours will tell you at 20weeksplus but my scans not until 4th July and I’m so impatient! Nagging dp to go for a gender scan, but it’s €115 and hard to justify when we have so much stuff to pay for atm. Still want it though!! 😈

@prayingandhoping yes!! After weeks of just wanting sugary stuff/chocolate which is not like me, I’ve gone off food. I’m literally looking at things I normally love and thinking ‘urgh’. Very inconvenient when cooking. I get very nauseous if I eat past 6/7pm as well which means I just end up curled up in bed early!

PrayingandHoping · 27/05/2019 21:22

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil oh ditto! For first 11 weeks or so I lost my sweet tooth completely!

Once this week I cooked dinner fine and just as I served it I lost my appetite. Infuriating!!

motherofcats81 · 28/05/2019 01:01

Hello everyone, can I join? I was in the December club but I've just been for my dating scan and been moved forward a few days to a new due date of November 28. I'm 37 and it's my first baby. Hope everyone is doing well!

Farmmum7 · 28/05/2019 08:28

Hi @motherofcats81 I'm due the 28th November too Smile I haven't had my dating scan but at an earlier scan the woman said my dates were pretty accurate so for now thats what I'm sticking with!

I completely lost my appetite last night my DH had made an amazing dinner I forced the veg down then gave up I felt awful usually dinner makes me feel better. I went to bed with the kids at 8!

HeartvsHead · 28/05/2019 11:42

Apparently mistakes are more common if they say it is a girl. If they say it is a boy generally they are less likely to be wrong. Guess you can miss the boy bits if don't get the right angle but once you have seen the boy bits it's pretty conclusive! A friend of mine was told she was having a girl then had a growth scan at 37 weeks and found out it was actually a boy. Luckily she had 3 weeks to exchange stuff!

I have to make sure I don't have much for lunch otherwise I cannot eat dinner and it's driving my husband mad eating alone every night!

Mintypea5 · 28/05/2019 12:43

I finally finally got my appetite back the. Had a splitting headache all yesterday which meant I couldn't eat.

Only a month until our 20 week scan! It's the day before DS2 1st Birthday so a very exciting week ☺️

thumper59 · 28/05/2019 17:52

How's everyone's bumps coming on? This is my first pregnancy and I'm normally only quite slight but I don't feel like I've got past looking a bit porky over the last few weeks and it's not turned into a 'proper' bump yet. I'm 17+1

thumper59 · 28/05/2019 17:53

@Mintypea5 so exciting! Ours is 3 weeks today 😊 I can't wait!

Mintypea5 · 28/05/2019 19:11

@thumper59 I have a bump now but this is baby 3 and have no stomach muscles left! With DS1 I didn't get a bump until about 30 weeks Confused

Farmmum7 · 28/05/2019 19:30

I definitely have a tiny bump I was showing at 16 weeks with my DS but it took until maybe 24 weeks to tell I was pregnant with DD. I definitely noticed a tiny bump from 11 weeks with this one I've started a week by week photo diary I don't have any photos of my bump from the first two it's like pregnancy never happened I just have a few scan photos with my name to prove they really were inside me!

Is anyone else taking photos of the bump?

BobbySD345 · 28/05/2019 19:57

I can't believe how much of a bump I have. I'm only 15 weeks and I feel enormous. I'd say it's more of a 20 week bump. I don't know if my stomach has given in earlier than normal because I have had two previous pregnancies that ended in MC. I guess everyone is different but I find myself trying to hide my tummy incase someone asks how far along I am and I get embarrassed that I'm only 15 weeks...

blizzard88 · 28/05/2019 20:28

I definitely think I'm bigger than with DC1 - reckon I was just looking a bit tubby for another couple of months yet, but this time around feel like I need maternity clothes already!

Sunshineface123 · 28/05/2019 22:08

I'm doing a few bump photos when I can remember. Definitely feel bigger than with my first and also think look at least 20 weeks, the old stomach muscles must've been weakened a lot!!

motherofcats81 · 28/05/2019 22:13

Hi @Farmmum7! Nice to meet another Nov 28ther! Sorry to hear about your appetite- I have completely the opposite problem, though I still feel pretty rough - fingers crossed we'll start coming out of it soon! 🤞

My bump is surprisingly large for not quite 14 weeks, I was worried I might be having twins, but no, just one baby (and probably a fair bit of pasta too ☺️).

But then I don't know if it seems more obvious to me - today I told a friend at work and I thought he probably would have guessed but not at all! Though I do tend to wear baggier clothes there. I am taking bump photos too Farmmum

Hayesdays · 29/05/2019 10:07

Hi @Farmmum7 and @motherofcats81 can I please join the Nov 28ther club too!?

I've just started to get my appetite back too, after feeling sick since week 6.

Bumps are strange things! I'm a first timer and have got a small bump now (probably only noticeable to me and the hubster, but no amount of sucking in will budge it!), but a couple of weeks ago I had a pretty much flat stomach in the morning and then by the evening looked big! I took these pics on the same day...the bloat is real!
