When's you're next one minty? I'm really pleased that all my next scans fall on my exact week date, so like the 20 week scan is directly on my 20th week etc. Makes it easier to remember

RainhamRosie · 09/05/2019 15:32

This breathlessness is killing me. I just had to do a presentation at work and I got out of breath after every sentence. Anyone else as bad as this? I'm not the fittest person in the world but getting breathless after a sentence is pretty worrying.

LittleAndOften · 09/05/2019 15:43

@RainhamRosie yes! When reading to my son at night. Also, I auditioned for a chamber choir back in Feb. We just had our first proper rehearsal. Stamina and breath control both lacking severely, and I don't want to tell them I'm pregnant yet. I barely know them!

PyjamasForever · 09/05/2019 16:07

@RainhamRosie I've been getting really breathless with stairs and brisk walking. I think I was the same at this point last time and then it got better for a while (before getting much worse at the end!).

RainhamRosie · 09/05/2019 18:49

@PyjamasForever @LittleAndOften So glad it's not just me!

They must have thought I was so unfit. Pesky hormones.

ACuppaSolvesEverything · 09/05/2019 20:06

I’m relieved so many others are breathless too. I’ve been breathless since 5 weeks!
So much for symptoms decreasing after 12 weeks...I’m as tired as ever and have a wonderful new symptom of indigestion! I’ve never been so bloated and uncomfortable 😭

@ACuppaSolvesEverything I am so breathless I feel useless ! Can barely walk upstairs without needing to sit down.

Following on from our unpleasant NHS scan Monday we decided to go for a private one today. Best £40 we have ever spent Grin

The lady was so friendly and spent ages with us. There's an enormous projector screen and she did some 4d and some 3d. Little one wouldn't sit still !!

We only bought one piccie but for anyone interested in nub theory, the sonographer was adamant it is a girl and in one of the other photos there was a distinctive straight white line.

Impatient NHS lady on Monday had me at 11 + 1 which I knew wasn't right and today 3 days later she got me at 12 + 2 Flowers

@BobbySD345 glad you had a much better experience! That's a lovely scan. Do you have another NHS one if they dated you at 11 weeks?

dottydally · 09/05/2019 22:11

Just realised my due date needs changing!

BobbySD345 · 10/05/2019 09:25

@Mintypea5 yes we have one next Thursday. They've got to do the nuchal test. Does anyone know whether you always do bloods for that test or if it's only if they think there may an abnormality in the measurements?
I may have to go and get some kind of maternity jeans or stretchy bottoms because I'm so uncomfortable but it just seems too soon ??

PrayingandHoping · 10/05/2019 09:33

@BobbySD345 it's a combined screening so they take bloods too. My measurements were fine and then I got sent for bloods.

BobbySD345 · 10/05/2019 09:42

Thankyou @PrayingandHoping

dottydally · 10/05/2019 09:57

What's everyone's view on baby on board badges for the train and tube? I have one but I'm too nervous to wear it. I don't really have a bump yet (although some clothes are a bit tight) and worry people would think I was just being cheeky! It's more from a nausea point of view. I've not been sick but have permanent nausea and standing on a moving train/tube makes it worse!

RainhamRosie · 10/05/2019 11:10

@dottydally I would wear it if I were you, I don't have to use trains/tube regularly but I went up to support my cousin in the Marathon a few weeks ago. The train on the way back was absolutely packed and I was exhausted and nauseous, I had to stand for over an hour because I point blank refused to let any of my family tell someone that I was pregnant so I could have their seat.

The whole day knocked me for six but if someone had offered their seat I would have been very grateful. X

Mintypea5 · 10/05/2019 12:06

@dottydally I'd wear it if I was in London etc

@PrayingandHoping they do the bloods regardless of measurement. My NY was 1.3 and the lady said that's just one element they need your bloods too for results. I asked for my measurement but it was also in ten scan report they don't always just tell you

PrayingandHoping · 10/05/2019 13:23

@Mintypea5 I think you meant to tag @BobbySD345 😉

Rotorua · 10/05/2019 13:37

@dottydally
I started wearing it when I was around 7 or 8 weeks pregnant. I didn't have bump then, but DP convinced me to wear it and I'm happy I did. I think it also makes people be more careful around you and that's so important especially during rush hours.

26Cocopops · 10/05/2019 13:40

Hi everyone, I'm late to the party but I'm about to turn 37 (in 8 days!) and I'm due 06/11/19 with baby #1! I just found this thread and it's been really reassuring and helpful so I just wanted to say hello and send well wishes to all Smile

LittleAndOften · 10/05/2019 15:01

Hiya I'm 14 weeks today since my d/d changed last week. How's everyone doing for clothes? I've been desperate to find maxi dresses that aren't either too clingy or too thin and wafty. My lovely MIL has just ordered these for me, as a belated part of my 40th birthday present. I couldn't justify the expense otherwise.

And for when I'm a bit bigger... (in blue)

I can't wait to be comfortable again! Can't bear anything around my waist.
