@Mintypea5 I'm sorry you're not having a good time of it!!! But you should take comfort in the fact that this pregnancy has been different with no bleeding. Hopefully Tuesday will come around quickly!!! Do you have plans this weekend that will distract you?

Is it worth talking to your midwife for some reassurance in the mean time?

Mintypea5 · 03/05/2019 07:35

@JoJoSaysHello I have my booking in today so I was thinking of mentioning it to her then. No massive plans now as poor DS2 is rather poorly! I've promised DS1 pizza tonight (DH doesn't eat cheese so we don't have take away pizza very often!) and I think I'll start watching Line of Duty or something to distract me.

I know I should be grateful I'm not really sick etc but sometimes I'd just like some kind of symptom as reassurance 🙈

dottydally · 03/05/2019 12:50

@L0ULEW we've just had our scan. 11+5 and due 17 Nov so we are matching!

L0ULEW · 03/05/2019 12:52

@dottydally ah congrats hun :) glad everything went well... Only 198 days to go 😂

RainhamRosie · 03/05/2019 12:56

@Mintypea5 I don't think I could live with someone who doesn't eat cheese 😱 you're an angel!

Hope this weekend goes smoothly and quickly for you. X

LittleAndOften · 03/05/2019 13:37

Hey everyone just back from the scan and I'm so relieved that all is well! Everything looks to be in the right place and I finally feel I can accept this pregnancy is here to stay. The pics show an incredible amount of detail I'm amazed. I was dated at 13w and due date brought forward to 8th Nov.

The sonographer said it looks very likely to be a boy, and his face incredibly looks just like DS!! Grin

LittleAndOften · 03/05/2019 13:40

@mintypea5 I'm so sorry you've been struggling. I've been feeling exactly the same way and now we've had the scan it's like a huge weight has been lifted. I was such a, mess emotionally this week! Not long for you to wait now xx

Mintypea5 · 03/05/2019 13:40

@LittleAndOften wonderful scan!

@RainhamRosie I do joke that it's a deal breaker! 🤣

Booking in went well and have a lovely midwife. Consultant lead with growth scans (as expected). Explained my worries to the midwife and she understood so feel a bit better

JoJoSaysHello · 03/05/2019 17:08

I've had no nausea for over two weeks now (9 weeks to 11w3d) but yesterday it made an appearance again in the worst way (sick four times at work so pretty sure some people now know my secret!!). Feeling horrendous again today. I thought I was in the clear but how wrong I was!!

@Mintypea5 line of duty will certainly distract you Shock glad the midwife made you feel a bit better!

@LittleAndOften your scan is lovely and clear!!

BobbySD345 · 03/05/2019 17:15

@Mintypea5 my midwife said mine is consultant led. Does this mean you have a consultant throughout aswell as a midwife ? I should have asked her at the time but felt like it was information overload

BobbySD345 · 03/05/2019 17:17

@LittleAndOften what a lovely pic !

Mintypea5 · 03/05/2019 17:24

@BobbySD345 yes so you have all your normal midwife appointments and then usually see your consultant at least twice. Once around 16-20 weeks and then I see mine again about 35/36 to go over growth scans and discuss any birthing options (last time it was to book my induction for my due date as they didn't want me going over 40 weeks)

BobbySD345 · 03/05/2019 17:32

@Mintypea5 thank you Flowers

Pollypocket5 · 04/05/2019 18:07

So there's me thinking I have got so much energy when I woke up. Decided to spring clean the house and now I feel so shaky, nauseas and generally weak.

Does anyone else get this? Have I just overdone it?

Kaff83 · 04/05/2019 18:19

@pollypocket5 yes last weekend I went out in the morning and felt good and by the time I was back in the afternoon I was exhausted and went to bed. Don't think my partner was impressed as he was on his own with the kids all morning while I was out having fun and then he was on his own with them all afternoon while I slept 😕

Kaff83 · 04/05/2019 18:28

I had my 12 wk scan on Thursday, all looking good so far. Due on 11th November. I'm still feeling really rough (now 12 +5) - really hoping to feel better soon!

tigsyboo · 04/05/2019 18:30

@Pollypocket5 me!! We move house in 2 weeks and felt ok this morning when I went out with the dogs , got back and started clearing the garage with DH and by 4pm I had to stop, have a hot shower (I was ridiculously freezing!!) and now feel like I might not last past 8pm!!

bearface45 · 04/05/2019 20:00

Yes I am feeling better that I was. But I do exactly that, feel ok do something and then feel exhausted and have to lay down!

bearface45 · 04/05/2019 20:01

I’ve taken to ironing sitting down as can’t stand for long or that makes me feel ill!

Farmmum7 · 04/05/2019 21:35

@pollypocket5 I thought the sickness had finally started to get better and I may have overdone it a little yesterday gardening and taking the kids up the hill to look for tadpoles when I got in I had really bad shakes but just on one side I got some snacks and a drink and curled up on the sofa for an hour. I took it easier today and took breaks between each job.

Pollypocket5 · 05/05/2019 10:54

Looks like we are all guilty of overdoing it when we start to feel better. The last three months have definitely been the hardest.

Looking forward to getting this pregnancy glow people talk about haha.

Mintypea5 · 05/05/2019 11:06

@Pollypocket5 3rd pregnancy and I'm still waiting for the bloody glow to show up Grin tired and frazzled is my go to look

Pollypocket5 · 05/05/2019 11:10

@Mintypea5 Yeah I don't think it actually exists! How's your weekend been with DS? Is he been any better?

Not long now till our scans! What time is yours on Tuesday? Mines 10.40!

Mintypea5 · 05/05/2019 13:48

@Pollypocket5 he was really rather ill so DH flew home early and I cried! He's finally taken a upward turn today. Started eating and having milk again so fingers crossed he's over the worst

My scan is 16:00!!! The day is going to DRAG! Leaving work at 2:30 to get back in time ... so bloody nervous.

PyjamasForever · 05/05/2019 16:48

Hi everyone. I've been very quiet since the first thread when the nausea started to hit and I couldn't do anything (even reading Mumsnet was too much!). 12+3 now and vomiting finally reducing to the point that I can feel half way to human.

So lovely seeing lots of beautiful scan pictures. Mine is on Friday. Very nervous as everyone at work already knows due to my vomiting and giant bump already. Convinced something will be wrong and then I'll have to tell everyone.
