Christmas babies

Just found out I’m expected a Christmas baby, well due 23 December according to online, which has been accurate in the past give or take a day! I know my cycle etc. Excited and nervous. Had some minor spotting the past few days, but AF never showed so took a test today and it was positive!

Anyone else due within days of Xmas? Might take a few days for people to find out if they are expecting a xmas baby. But thought I would start the thread now.

Hi Ladies,

We lost our little flump this morning so obviously I'll be unfollowing this thread as I'm not going to have a Christmas baby.

I hope you all have wonderful pregnancy's and enjoy your new babies 💕 Xoxox

Good afternoon all,

Hope you don't mind me jumping on board. We got our positive on Tuesday (16th, my 37th birthday) and we have a EDD of 20th December!

Exciting but scary..... we had my sterilisation reversed in April 2018 so after a year of TTC we are finally here

Sorry for your loss MrsA Sad

lingo · 20/04/2019 17:15

Hi everyone,

Can I join? I got my BFP today for DC2 and EDD of 28th December Smile Didn't quite think about the timing when TTC but I suppose it's a happy time of year to be born!

Mamabear12 · 20/04/2019 17:20

Welcome newcomers. How are you feeling?

I noticed I am feeling and looking more bloated by end of day. You can already see a tiny bump - probably from the bloating! Today, I suddenly felt more hungry.

Nervousdave · 20/04/2019 17:39

I've been starving for the last week or so, constantly needing to get snacks at work 😳 so I think I have a bit of a snack bump Haha.
We're anxious about telling people before a scan but it's so difficult! I'd love to be able to tell my family and close friend personally as we live so far away, but as I'm not even 6 weeks yet I think it would jinx it 🙈
I did a very slow parkrun in this heat this morning as I've been saying I'll do it this weekend as a visitor, for weeks. Was so nauseous and my boobs were killing me!

Mamabear12 · 20/04/2019 17:46

Omg I almost messed things up for telling my kids! My dd was sitting in same room while I was talking to my dh and said “remember to wash those well because I’m pregnant. I mean..uh” as I realised my mistake. My daughter was looking at us but didn’t say anything. I don’t think she heard. She didn’t say anything. I hope not as I wanted to surprise the kids and tell them in a fun way!

So sorry to hear that @TheOnlyMrsA

Emmilou82 · 20/04/2019 19:01

I'm just soooo tired..... my boobs really hurt and I am bloated but had a 'mum tum' anyway. I'm conscious that I look pregnant but I'm sure it's not noticeable.

I have no sickness yet which unnerves me slightly as I was sick for 28 weeks from 4 weeks with my first!

peasando · 20/04/2019 19:18

I noticed today that I've definitely got a bit of a bump just above my c section scar. I know it's just bloating at this point but it's really firm and noticeable, especially because I've lost weight recently. Not planning to tell work for months so I'm hoping everyone will just think I've given upon my first and piled the pounds back on!

I've also got sore boobs and really bad heartburn, I don't remember having heartburn this early before .

peasando · 20/04/2019 19:20

And burpy! Blush

Emmilou82 · 20/04/2019 19:39

@peasando yeah, my reversal scar is what is making me look bigger I think. Like yourself, I don't want work to know yet but feel they will see sooner

Comps83 · 20/04/2019 19:50

I’m currently sat here fuming as I’ve realised I’ve gone from a sz 10 to a 16 in 2 years
No one will guess I’m pregnant they will just think I’m continuing to pile it on

peasando · 20/04/2019 19:58

I wasn't going to do this today...I was going to wait until Wednesday because I didn't get my 2-3 until last Wednesday, but I was feeling so rubbish I gave it a try. Delighted things are going in the right direction, just need to get through the next week and a half now until my early scan!

Christmas babies
Summersun8383 · 20/04/2019 20:14

@peasando I know what you mean, I've been losing weight since Xmas and got up this morning and felt like I looked like I'd just piled it all back on!! Apparently your bump comes back quicker though doesn't it after your first....didn't think it would be this quick though lol

peasando · 20/04/2019 20:21

Given up on my diet, that earlier post was supposed to say! 😂😂

Losd · 20/04/2019 22:10

I might be out 😭😭😭 in the past hour or so my incredibly painful boobs have just completely lost all pain and tenderness. They’ve been agony since 4 weeks, sometimes less painful than others but always still been sore to touch or when I move, right now there’s nothing. 6 weeks 3 days just now, I’ve had my first scan booked since April 1st and it’s on Tuesday afternoon, I’ve been counting down the days for weeks now. So desperate for my Christmas baby to be ok but feeling heartbroken already. Please keep everything crossed for me 💔 xx

peasando · 20/04/2019 22:57

@Losd it's normal for symptoms to settle down, I'm sure bubba is still happily growing away in there. It's so difficult not being able to see what's going on isn't it? Fingers crossed for you, I'm sure all will be well and your scan will give you some reassurance and a beautiful view of your little one!

lordofthefries · 20/04/2019 23:26

@Losd Symptoms come and go so much, especially so early on. For the first few weeks after I found out with DS1 I was in agony with my boobs, and then for a whole day nothing happened. It’s just natural, try not to worry too much

Losd · 21/04/2019 06:34

Thank you, I was a right state last night, got slightly sore boobs again this morning but that was weird, they went from agony to nothing in an hour... I’m still on edge though, I’ve had so many miscarriages and no babies yet, but I’m feeling a bit reassured now. Honestly Tuesday just can’t come quick enough, I just need to know if there’s a heartbeat or not then I can relax a bit. Sorry ladies I try to keep things to myself but was pre-empting my sudden disappearance from this thread 🙄 xx
