Christmas babies

Just found out I’m expected a Christmas baby, well due 23 December according to online, which has been accurate in the past give or take a day! I know my cycle etc. Excited and nervous. Had some minor spotting the past few days, but AF never showed so took a test today and it was positive!

Anyone else due within days of Xmas? Might take a few days for people to find out if they are expecting a xmas baby. But thought I would start the thread now.

@chishandfipps I've given in to my meat cravings! Just demolished my way through a pack of Bernard Matthews cooked chicken pieces! Now munching on some S&V pringles to satisfy my need for salt! And I will have tea soon 🤦🏻‍♀️ going to be the size a house soon! 😂

@chishandfipps good luck for your scan tomorrow! Mine is at 10am, eek!

VeryNewToAllThis I demolished a tube of S&V pringles the other day and they were lush!

Someone mentioned McChicken sandwich earlier and that's all I want now..... I just can't stop eating today!

Hey girlies and embryos 😊 I'm soooooo hungry too, my OH has just walked in with chocolate fudge cake and I went weak at the knees haha!

10 week scan was perfect!! Although I’ve been put back 3 days but was put forward 5 days at my first scan so not that bothered, will presumably get my official due date at next scan on 29th. Baby was moving loads and the sonographer was laughing because he/she was doing stomach crunches haha! So reassuring seeing that beautiful heartbeat again ❤️

@VeryNewToAllThis were you vegetarian before too?! I just keep thinking about chicken. And ribs. And I'd love to go to a carvery! I don't know if it's because I'm missing out on something nutrient-wise.. but I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out

Can i join? Im 8 weeks monday, been nauseated and heaving since 4 weeks and bringing up loads of flem. I've vomited several times but the heaving is awful, i end up heaving 5 or 6 times bringing up flem and all day, it's on and off. Feel like I've tried everything. And I'm so bloated i can't wear any of my normal clothes, ibs is going crazy.

This is baby 2 (hopefully), 3rd pregnancy as my first was a mmc. So much sicker in this pregnancy and no sore breasts this time. Im due the 20th.

@chishandfipps I mostly am vegetarian but not very strict ... this last fortnight I've eaten so much meat though 🙈 figured it's what I must need!

@NapsAndTea amazing! That makes me feel better haha. Might just give in after my scan tomorrow! I figure I must not be getting enough iron or protein or something.

Hello ladies, been out today at the Northern Shooting Show with OH, DS & DSS....Done over 10,000 steps but I feel so much better than being cooped up in the office or at home! Not felt half as tired or hungry. I'm going to make a point of trying to exercise every day 😬

@emmilou82 I wish I did. I have been hit the last 2 days with exhaustion, consta t want/need to eat, atrocious nausea and emotions that would test any of the world's biggest roller coasters, and to top it off I'm at work 😭😭😭

Hello everyone. I noticed the times I feel slightly sick it helps to move around or eat. Tomorrow I have an 8 hour plane ride 😳 hoping it will be a good and fast flight. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

I'm 6+5 today, due date from ovulation is 30.12, due date from LMP is Christmas day!

Losd and great news about your 10 week scan! I can't wait to have mine! Did you do the 10 week bc you are doing the harmony test? I plan on doing the harmony test and finding out what I am having.

I’m feeling very sorry for myself
Today has been mostly a writeoff apart from getting a small amount of essay done
I have been stewing in bed for hours
I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I don’t want to do anything and have lost all interest in everything
I keep having days like this . Thinking oh well I’ll just write this one off, tomorrow is another day, then doing the same thing the next day .
I think I’ll feel different if things look ok at my scan but for now I feel in limbo. I don’t really feel pregnant I just feel meh!

Scan went well! Saw a heartbeat and have a new due date of Christmas Eve! Although they did put me back 6 days.. hopefully that's nothing to worry about. The sonographer didn't seem concerned.

Feel like I can actually start to get excited now

Hi Everyone, I’ve never joined anything like this before! I had a miscarriage back in September last year and am now pregnant again, we think 6/7 weeks. I thought I was further on than that but as I had to have various early bloods and scans (they thought it might be ectopic or molar) when they did eventually find the yolk sack it was only in the early stages. Praying that everything goes ok this time around and that there’s a new addition to our household in December!

Scan went well here too. Saw a strong heartbeat and the dates match mine- due date 16th dec!

Comps83 I felt like that too right up until I got the scan that showed the baby and heartbeat. Until then I was so cautious something would go wrong I couldn’t get remotely excited and I actually felt really down and sad all the time because I was experiencing symptoms like exhaustion and nausea, but without any reason to believe everything would be okay. Once I saw the heartbeat things changed for me a little. I know it’s still no guarantee. But I feel much more comfortable with the risks now they’re lower and I started to enjoy and be excited. Bought a pregnancy journal and started writing to my future baby, told one more friend, and so forth. Yesterday walking through Ikea it was so fun to look at the baby items together and I was so bloated I allowed myself a sneaky ‘walking with hands on stomach’ pregnancy pose once or twice 😂

chishandfipps six days is fine! As I understand it even if you know exactly when you ovulated the length of time to implant can vary quite a lot between people. At my first scan I thought I was 5+6 and she said I was ‘just five weeks’ so I backdated my pregnancy app. But then my second scan she was 7-8 weeks and it was exactly a fortnight later. So I think it can change around at this early stage! Congrats!

😴😴 my bloody step son (7yrs) woke me up at 5.35 this morning blasting his iPad out!! I'm fuming..... The rule for both my son (12) and step son is that no iPads/computers/TVs before 6am. He has a digital clock in his room and can read numbers but nevertheless he still did it today! I went in his room and wasn't happy at all.
Turned the pad off and told him back to bed until 6 at least!

Thing is, once I'm awake I can't get back to sleep and OH sleeps through anything! As if my days aren't hard enough at the minute without the added issues.

We don't get on great as it is.... I just don't have that bond with him and he doesn't talk to me. Rabbles on to his dad and my son but won't speak to me unless prompted by OH. It's very awkward but hey ho, that's how it is.

Anyways, rant over....morning all lol

@Mamabear12 thanks 😊 made my day watching those wee movements, it’s starting to feel very real now although I’m still very much on edge. No I had a 6.5 week and 10 week scan on nhs because it’s a high risk pregnancy, multiple miscarriages sadly but this little one seems to be doing great so far ❤️
@Emmilou82 that’s rubbish about your stepson 😒 I had a fraught relationship with my stepmum when I was a teenager but we’re really close now, in fact I’m going to ask her and my mum to be at the birth, so hopefully things will be better when he gets older but not fun for you just now. Does your husband talk to him about it? X

Hi girls. Hope everyone’s feeling well! I am due on the 28th December, I’ve been having scans from epu originally to rule out eptopic and was a week behind last week, have another scan soon and hoping this ones more accurate to confirm it is growing properly. I’m 7+1 today. I have some cramping today, generally extremely tired and just feel dizzy when so get up from sitting/laying. Think I need to up the water intake! X

@Losd yes my husband has spoken to him on many occasions regarding it but nothing changes so I just grin and bear it! He says he doesn't know why he avoids me and he just shrugs when Dh asks why he doesn't talk to me so I've done trying for now. We are not sure if his mum is filling him with rubbish because we had to take her to court for contact but I'm not prepared to push him for that info..... it's not fair on him but we suspect that's what's happening ☹️
I'm good every other weekend just getting on with things and DH has told him yet again that the Ipad is not to be used before 6am..... he knows we are having a baby and that he is to allow me to sleep 😬
