Just had to check out your new photo - must have missed you saying you'd uploaded a new one - Greedy's right - you look fantastic!!! No way, am I going to look like that for at least another 2 years!! (hair's the wrong colour for a start!!).

Greedy - the end is near - you will manage it. Sunny weather not all it cracked up to be - it's hot!! Although we did have a lovely picnic yesterday at the adventure playground and then a lovely meal out last night.

hope everyone has good Sundays/Bank holidays! We're tackling the garage today!! What fun!!!! But at least I'll find the baby car seat and pram, so I can wash that in the sun! Last lot of baby washing is on the line drying, so starting to get a bit organised - really weird thinking this time in a week, I was already in hospital being induced with DD!

also having moaned about my GP services here when I first moved - I now have 3 MW appointments all lined up the next week - bit excessive i think. Must remember to cancel 2 of them on Tuesday!!

Chooster · 26/08/2007 22:33

Hope your visit went well babymad!?

Is everyone havinga nice sunny weekend? Here it has been a good one. I'm a lot more emotionally stable (thank goodness) and the kids have been lovey!! . DH has been great too, but I think he's buttering me up as he's off to London for 3 days as of tomorrow visiting a friend and he's feeling a little guilty. So, what can I do with a 3 yr old and a 6wk old tomorrow??? Mmmm, just not sure...

Anyway, have uploaded a coupla photo's - one of me and Max at the zoo and one of Theo a couple of weeks ago.

fettleandminifettle · 27/08/2007 08:04

Lovely photos too, chooster.

Wish I could get mine to upload - I'll try again later today, if I get a chance.

Off to have lunch with friends - 10 wk and 8 wk old baby there and 3 3 year olds!! Going to be noisy, I think!!!

Have good Bank Holidays all!

MrsMcJnr · 27/08/2007 10:38

Hello ladies at work and feeling badly done to as the rest of the banking world are off today my assistant has also called in sick, that could be a blessing though! Had a nice weekend, quiet Friday, dinner party for 8 on Sat night (god that was exhausting, we used to do that nearly every week but I was seriously our of practice!) and managed to stay up until 1am. That would have been fine but PIL stayed over and FIL started trudging up and down the stairs at 8am (up and down, up and down) in an attempt to wake us up ? made me very grumpy . Was at a party yesterday afternoon and broke our news to my girlfriends (hadn?t told any to date!) very mixed reactions, it was quite odd, I guess you never know what is happening behind the scenes though! Last night we went to a show at the Festival, was good fun. So it was a busy one but was tucked up in bed by 10pm so don?t feel too bad today how are you all?

Hey Bodkin how was your Mum? Lovely pics, you look fab! PMSL at the Mermaid Mum image love swimming in the sea personally

Honeyapple how are you? Glad the camping went well inspite of the weather, were you sleeping on the ground? How did you back hold up? Hope you have a lovely time in Austria sounds very peaceful!

Hey Chooster I have just given my sis your number and she will give you a call. Her name is Lucy I have emailed my consultant about the new mutation ? we?ll see what she says, surely I should at least have very mild super powers given my mutations?! My boss has totally ignored my email from Friday setting down what days I wanted to work where it doesn?t help my stress levels when I can?t plan my diary, I?ll have to nudge him later on if he stays silent as I want to work from home tomorrow That would be fab to see you and the boys, I?ll give you as much notice as I can, hoping that Friday will be the next one but will defo be at home next Tues as have FA scan in the morning ?ahhhhhhhh very nervous, so will be around next Tues pm? Would so love to see you both/all! I hope you are feeling more like your old self now you?ve got a lot on your plate and you will be tired hon, I am amazed and full of awe the way you and the others on this thread have taken it all in your stride the zoo?s a great place to make you feel better Hope all goes well at the baby clinic on Weds. Love you new pics, Theo is the absolute split of your DH now! That?s amazing! and that pic of you doesn?t do you justice but you do look really happy

Fettle how is the house looking now? happy belated anniversary! hope you had a lovely day! It?s not a Scottish bank holiday but all the big banks take it anyway so it is very quiet in here today (I work in a Banking team but we lawyers don?t get the holiday!) Didn?t know you got married in St Andrews! It?s lovely there. There?s a nice new hotel called St Andrews Bay and they have a lovely Spa and golf course and do kite flying lessons on the beach, well worth a weekend there! Your Aunt?s comment was well, so English! (sorry no offence to any of you!!) My sleep has been quite disturbed the last few nights with cramp in my claves, agony Poor DD and the splinter! How are you keeping anyway? How exciting having the baby clothes on the line

Greedy hello you! Sounds like you and DH are getting through tons!! And the kids rooms sound so fun!

MrsMcJnr · 27/08/2007 15:07

So quiet today! My boss has reluctantly agreed to me working from home two days a week first day is tomorrow - horrah!!!

MrsMcJnr · 27/08/2007 17:00

Good news from me, my consultant emailed me back and said that the new mutation makes no difference to our management of my pregnancy as Heparin is adequate protection regardless of whether I have a single or combined deficiency She also confirmed that all is going well and that she was pleased that the foetal heart is now audible and hopes I am reassured by that. She also said that I am ?well on now and risk of miscarriage is much less as you get past the 20 weeks stage? of course I wish my risk of MC was nil now but I guess it never is able to be totally ruled out!

Bodkin · 27/08/2007 20:14

Are you past 20 weeks already Mrs?! thats fantastic - and good news from your consultant too. at your superpowers! Sorry you had to work today, but hooray that your boss has agreed to your homeworking - guess we'll be seeing you a bit more on here then

Chooster - gorgeous photos - i think Theo has the same eyes as Max and he looks so alert in that photo - you look pretty good yourself! glad to hear you're not feeling so teary 3 days on your own without your DH? have you got anyone to come over and give you a hand with bedtime etc.... i find that is the hardest time as isla always seems to want feeding just as nelly needs to go to bed. Evenings still quite hard work here - no matter how sleepy she is, if i put her in the cot she drops off then wakes up after 5 minutes - although she settles down in it fine in the day...
Hows the reflux - any better?

greedy - sounds like things are moving ahead well with the extension which must be a relief for you. Not long til you and fettle can say "i will be having a baby this month" Yes, you've rumbled me, that is a stunt Bodkin in the picture... the real me is wearing a possett-stained baggy tracksuit, bed-head hair and boobs round my ankles...

Fettle - you sound like your getting pretty organised... hope you had a nice [noisy]lunch today

have had a great bank holiday - lots of socialising and nice food... knackered now though zzzzzzzz

fettleandminifettle · 27/08/2007 20:43

Evening all!

Had a good day with our friends - both babies slept through lunch and the toddlers got on great. Until my friend's DS decided to brush his teeth and my DD decided she also wanted to brush her teeth and didnt' seem to understand that we didn't have her toothbrush with us. Decided it was time to make a hasty exit as she was shattered (had had a long swim in the morning!). She slept on the way home and as soon as she woke up, she went upstairs and brushed her teeth!!. Strange child, sometimes, i think!!

Mrs, sorry you had to work today. But great news from your boss and from your consultant! Stay positive!

Off to bed now - absolutely shattered - so don't want to go to work tomorrow. Only 4 more days to go, but my pelvis is utter agony today - think I did too much yesterday, but now I really feel a burning/tearing pain on my inside upper left thigh and inside pelvis - hope it gets better soon.

Anyway, Baby - hope your day went ok.

take care

Bodkin · 27/08/2007 21:08

Chooster - just saw this on the BF threads - thought it might be useful if you are still suffering? here

Bodkin · 27/08/2007 21:09

Hi Fettle Glad you had a good day - only 4 days left? Fab!

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/08/2007 22:02

i am soooooo excited!!! we have more or less, kind of, sort of, almost finished the kids bedrooms!!!!! just a bit of glossing and touching up left to do!!! even got my bunting up in dds room!!!!!! so, we put them to bed in their new rooms tonight!

my ds was sooooooo excited bless him! he kept switching on his bedside light ( a dinosaur one, obviously!) after i had tucked him in, and when i went into him to tell him to turn it off he told me his new room looked 'so beautiful!' and he just wanted to 'explore it!!!' i am a bit worried that we might have a disturbed night tonight cos they are both in strange new surroundings.

but, once they had gone to bed i went into the nursery which is where they had been sleeping and actually got some stuff ready for the baby!!!! starting to feel a bit more organised!!! even put some muslins and sudocrem in the drawer!!!

so we just have the whole rest of the house to sort out and then we are done!!!!

anyway, enough about me! glad to hear you all had good bank holidays. even you mrs...at least you got some good newws from your boss and your consultant! cant believe you are over halfway already!!

fettle - i was thinking about you yesterday (is that odd?) and trying to work out when your due date would have been for the lo you lost at xmas time. you didn't mention it, so i hope that means it passed without upsetting you too much.
glad you are getting organised too! what date did we decide to have these babies on again? as long as its not in the next 2 weeks that is fine! my parents are away on holiday for the next 2 weeks and they are my emergency contacts for looking after the kids, so we have to wait until they are back if thats ok?

chooster - it is really odd seeing pictures of people! i dont know quite how i pictured you, but you dont look like i thought you would!!! your ickle boys look lovely!!! i cant wait to have my baby and post a picture of all 3 of my dc together!

wow! my heartburn has really kicked in for the night now!!! never really suffered much with my other pgs, but i am this time! better go and get my remegels!

SO, can i moan about stretchmarks?!!! i got one when pg with my ds and not till 39 wks! (how pissed off was i?) and then i got another one when pg with dd, again not till really late on.................and yesterday i noticed i had developed another 2 this pg and i am only 35 wks! i STUPIDLY assumed that my body gave me a new stretchmark for each child that i had, so i am EXTREMELY pissed off at getting another 2 already!

right, i am off to do a poo! and then bed i think! ( definately in that order!)

t'ra!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 27/08/2007 22:08

sorry, me me me again!

fettleandminifettle · 28/08/2007 12:55

Hi all

Last week at work and so unmotivated. Our new administrator starts today, so have to spend some time with her this afternoon, then I just need to tidy and sort my desk and cupboard for my replacement and write a really long e-mail of things to my boss, as I may not officially see her again, although I am supposed to come infor a half-day at some point in September to hand-over officially.

Greedy - thanks for thinking of me. I was thinking of me last night actually as it suddenly dawned on me, that my last due date was 25th August. But it passed me by with no problems obviously. but then it hit me that my first mc, would be 1 around the time of this pg due date and that was much harder to think about. However, hopefully all will be well with this little one. I'm happy with not going with the next 2 weeks, as I don't really want to be premature this time around. got my MW appointment first thing on Friday morning, with my new MW, so hopefully she'll be nice - I thought I'd arranged if for next Monday when I'd stopped work, but they've rearranged it for Friday - not the end of the world, if I'm in late on my last day though!!!!!

I'm about to do a "Greedy" and post a really me me me thread - sorry, I'm at work and shouldn't really be on here.

I'll be back later, when I won't mention me, [much!!!]

Hey ladies

Bodkin 20 weeks today and Beanie has been celebrating with a few kicks My boss has just been on the phone for 20 mins, he?s decided not to replace either of my assistants even though I had found a perfect part time replacement with all the right skills, he is worried we don?t have enough work (and is doing bugger all to bring any in ) upshot is ? and it could be a good one ? I might end up redundant before I can go back from mat leave better look into how that works out!

Fettle glad you had a lovely day only 3 days to go hon at work! hope the pelvis is feeling better.

Hey Greedy ? great news about the kids? rooms can understand why they are so excited! You are getting so close!

Hey Firsty ? so impressed you still have time for us! had very mixed reactions from my girlfriends, one cried she was so happy and another totally ignored it after I told her, I suspect she might be pg but too early to say! FA scan is next Tues but I?ll keep those good wishes for then if I may so glad all is going well, damn those milk spots though!

Right off for a potato peeling break

Chooster · 28/08/2007 21:13

Hope the spuds are all peeled MrsMc!!! I remeber those working from home days well . Great news from your consultant, and huge congratulations at getting past the halfway mark - and good on you little beanie for giving your mum a few good kicks . Your sister called tonight and she was really helpful on reflux and is also sending her supply of gaviscon - thanks so much for passing my number on. It really helped... Theo still has the reflux but I think its getting better, not too much puking these days, but he still seems in pain after a feed, poor soul. We are getting his hernia chcked tomorrow s fingers crossed it doesn't need any intervention.

Thanks for the link Bodders! I've had 3 bouts of thrush and is awful when its at its worst. Diflucan is my next call if I need to go back to the GP. They said they would give it to me if I needed it so I dont think I'll struggle to get it like some women on that thread. It was interesting what one woman said about postioning as well. I reckon some of the problem for me has been positioning so I'm trying a few things out to get it better.

He, congratulations on getting the kids rooms ready Greedy!!! That must be a massive relief. When its all done you'll sit down with a beer / wine and wonder how you managed it

So, Fettle, the countdown is on! I hope the last few days at work wont drag too much. It'll be so exciting when you are Greedy are about to pop! .

Hi Firsty - Sounds like all is well in your household. It seems like you've taken to this all really well.

Hi everyone else... Things here have been pretty good over the last few days. I wasn't looking forward to being on my own but its been OK. My MIL has popped in after work both days to help with bath / bed... As you say Bodders, Theo is usually unsettled just as DS1 needs to be bathed and put to bed. But overall its been great just me and the boys . I wish I could say the same for my mum, she's unwell again and back into hospital as the shadow on her lung has got bigger so they are doing more tests. Poor thing, she's feeling rotten and is gutted as thats another trip we'd planned that had to be cancelled. She really wants to see the boys again

Well, both boys are sleeping so I'm going to go to bed! Night all

fettleandminifettle · 28/08/2007 22:18

Evening all.

Firsty - glad to hear all well with you and Ty. you certainly seem to be taking to motherhood like a duck to water, just like I thought you would!!!

Mrs - I hope work all works out for the best for you! Never want to wish redundancy on anyone, but might be just the thing? Great news on getting half-way. hope the potatoes were peeled to perfection!!!

Chooster - glad you have managed to have a good time with DH away. So sorry to hear about your Mum - not good news. Hope the prognosis is not too bad.

Bodders - mermaid queen. How you getting on today?

Greedy - congratulations on finishing the children's bedrooms - how did they sleep last night? Bet you feel better from doing something to the nursery. I'm feeling more in control - nearly bought some nappies today, but then couldn't decide what size - 1 or 2, as I have no idea how much this litle is going to weigh!! how you coping with work? I'm definitely getting more tired and just ready to go home from 3pm onwards, but i think that has quite a lot to do with my commute I need to do. Hope the rest of the building work goes smoothly!

Seaside - hope all well with you. Are you away?

Iampg - how you doing? How's the move going? It is you who's moving isn't it - getting so very confused as this pregnancy progresses!!

Buggymad - hope all well with you.

Honey - how's the yodelling(?sp) going?!! hope the weather is good.

Rainbowy - hope all well with you. not heard from you in a while.

Ok, who have I missed -must be someone? Hmm.....

While I think just found out another good friend of ours is 12 weeks pregnant - so pleased for them. But it really is getting to the stage that everyone we know is pregnant or just had a baby - suppose we are just all at that age.

Only 3 days to go at work and Friday will only be a part day, as I have MW appointment in the morning and I doubt I'll stay until 5!!

BTW, those with children - should I ask nursery to have a party of DD on Friday? I need to provide cakes and chocolate etc, they'll do the party games. Also should I give the nursery a leaving present? Been very happy with them there and DD has thrived. Not sure what they are missing though, so do you think ELC vouchers would be a good option? Any thoughts gratefully received!

Sleep well everyone.

big hugs
xxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 28/08/2007 23:01

chooster - glad you had fun with your boys. you and bodders are worrying me with the tales of bath/ bedtime! i have been worrying about that already and also mornings and getting them all ready to leave the house by 8.30. i am not the most organised person in the world and i think i will have to be! really sorry to hear about your mum, she isnt having much luck recently is she?

fettle - glad to hear your due date passed with no probs. exciting you only have 3 days left at work! i wish i knew what i was doing! i have patients booked in on 25th sept at the moment, but i think that might be cutting it a bit fine, so i am going to try and rearrange them if i can!!! didnt hear a peep from the kids last night! i was expecting my dd to fall out of bed or wake up scared in the night but she didn't! not sure i will be as lucky tonight though!! did you see that rah predicted your little boy to pop at 38 wks? thats not long!!!

mrs - peeling potatoes in the afternoon hey, you truly are a domestic goddess! so you can feel your ickle one kicking now? how amazing! mine doesn't stop squirming all the time and she drives me mad, but i loved it first time round with ds cos he just did nice sedate little kicks, not huge somersaults like dd and this one does!!

firsty - i was thinking about your little Ty and i was just wondering was he really long when he was born too? what makes you say you dont think there will be a no. 2 for you? cos you already have 2 dsds?

so what do we think of the names ........... Lottie? Seren? i am struggling so much with names me and dh really cant decide!!!! HELP!!!! i need inspiration!!!

anyway gotta go to bed now! i was thinking of giving my dh a bit of a treat tonight cos its been a while............but i can't be arsed now!!!!! hee hee!!

Rainbowdays · 28/08/2007 23:34

Hi I am still around, but feeling quite sick now. However good news is that the scan was great and now at 8 weeks I am starting to feel pregnant!

Sorry I can't catch up with you all personally, thinking of you all though

Chooster · 29/08/2007 11:05

Great to hear from you rainbowdays!!! And Great that you are feeling more pregnant even though its making you feel bad... Congrats on a good scan

I thought you'd be well practised at the bath / bed routine Greeds as you have two small ones close in age! Although I guess having 3 does take it to a new dimension! Sorry, you probably dont want to hear that - but you'll find a way of getting them all out the house in the morning. Maybe make charts for DS and DD1 supernanny style and list all the things you want them to do themselves in the morning, like get their cloths out, or get ready if they can, clean teeth, get shoes out etc... and tick it all off as they go along, with some kind of treat or sticker or something at the end? I guess their co-operation will be the key

Just two more days to go eh fettle!!!! great idea about party for DD at nursery, and the vouchers suggestion is a good one. ELC is a good option because then they can get whatever they need. Its a really lovely thought.

I'd forgotten to mention the redundancy MrsMC - I know it sounds wierd to say but I hope you get it, it would fit on well with plans wouldn't it .

Ahhh, my little fella is lying on my lap on his tummy and he looks so happy and relaxed - he's such a gorgeous little boy

Hi to everyone else - better dash off to baby clinic at GP now...

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 11:11

Morning ladies

Chooster - yup, dinner was in the oven when DH got home and probably got more work done than usual too pussy cats loved it! Didn?t you used to sit in your pants eating strawberries when working from home?! Thanks for all your good wishes for me, just hope next Tues?s scan goes well, everything crossed. Glad Lucy called and it helped hope no intervention is needed with the hernia. Hope the thrush gets better soon, must be sore. Sorry about your Mum being unwell but glad to hear you are not missing DH too much thanks for the redundancy wish so glad you love your baby so much

Fettle ? had a meeting this am where everyone just fought, I was in another world chuckling at how Beanie liked some of the voices but not others so glad that you are nearly finished at work, I feel tired for you! Party at nursery sounds like fun

Greedy ? crikey! Patient on 25/9 might have to help you deliver! Change it! think I can feel kicks, I know it?s not wind/rumbles/gurgles and its all over the place so not arteries pulsing either ? hoping it?s kicks, should be by now shouldn?t it? Still like Seren hon and Raya or have you gone off that? Lottie is nice too what impression do you want from the name? what sounds do you like? I haven?t seen any more names that I like recently, I have been looking too, I thought Ailani (Hawaiian for ?Chief?) was quite nice but DH says no.

Rainbowdays ? lovely news hon hope the sickness isn?t too debilitating.

Hello to Seaside (on hols I think) and Honeyapple (also on hols!) and Iampg (madly packing up!) and Buggymad (busy with 3 DCs!) x

scorpio1 · 29/08/2007 16:12

Mrs- No im still here, just had a few quiet internet free days at home! have been quite busy, DC's are still on holidays. 8 days to go! it has been lovely to have ds1 home, though.

i am 7+5 today oming along nicely

everyone else well? those with babies, too?

MrsMcJnr · 29/08/2007 16:36

Good glad all is well with you and that you have just been busy, any other BFPs over on conception that we should know about?

scorpio1 · 29/08/2007 16:37

i think Bobbydazzler got one; thats it though, i think. only had a short read today

greedygreedyguzzler · 29/08/2007 17:07

chooster - 2 is a piece of piss at bedtime! its 3 i am worried about!!! actually, it is more morning time than bedtime that is worrying me, cos who cares if they go to bed a bit late..................but in the mornings if ds is late to preschool.........they have a late book!!!!!! HOW SCAREY IS THAT!!!!!!????? and i am always late for everything!!! i do wish that i could have been due at the start of the summer hols to give me some time to adjust. oh well, i guess we will cope!

mrs - how about delphi? is that a crap name? or iris? i like your taste in names, so i value your opinions! (not that i dont value anyone elses opinions!!!)
