Quiet on here today!

Firsty - hope your first trip out went well!! I remember feeling really proud pushing DD around in her shiny pram!! [poor little one, will be pushed around in her 2nd hand one!! - must find it in the garage and wash her sick off it, not convinced I gave it a good wash before we stopped using it in place of a lighter, easier buggy!]

Bodders - glad you had a better night with Isla. Can't believe that DP took her to the pub - are you sure she was asleep before he went there?!!

Mrs - I'm so sorry you've had such a hard time of late at work. It does sound pretty rubbish. I do hope it gets better, but I can well imagine why you so desperately do not want to have to go back. it really isn't that long until Christmas now - I'm sure someone somewhere will be able to tell you how many shopping days it is til then!!

Well, I finally had DD's sports day today and she won all of her races. I was so proud - but then she is built like a gizelle, so was unfairly advantaged against her fellow runners!! She only woke once last night, as she'd lost her duvet (managed to kick it off, right under her bed!!), but as it is so damned cold at the moment, she really needed it back!! Went to sleep again like a dream tonight, but refused to let DH read to her. he apparently read on Church night (last Sunday), how that seems fair, since I've read every other night since we moved here though! Have to just share some toddler logic with you. We've been working hard on removing the phrases "I want...." and "I need...." in place of "Please may I have....?2 etc. In the story I was reading tonight, there is character who keeps saying "I want my Mummy", to which DD says calmly. He shouldn't say that, it would be better to say "Please may I have my Mummy?". I just couldn't argue with her logic, so from then on in, I had to say "Please may I have my Mummy?", in place of "I want my Mummy"!.

Anyway, enough from me - going to try and upload a couple of pictures from her sportsday - just because i'm an extra proud mother tonight!

take care all

Chooster · 22/08/2007 21:49

Hey all

Fettle just tried to see your pics but couldn't access your page. I keep meaning to put more pictures on - Theo is getting so big and grown up now! I will get round to it soon. Well done Fettle DD for winning the races - its amazing the amount of pride you can have for your DC's isn't it . I bet she is really pleased and happy. Am really pleased to hear she is settling in better - I guess she just needed a bit of time to get used to things and was maybe feeling a little dis-orientated. The amby is a hammock for babies to sleep in. The natural motion is meant to help LO's get off to sleep - its also meant to be good for colic and reflux as you can have the babies head slightly raised, or very raised depending on how you have it. Its called Amby nature's nest - maybe take a look on the website. I've got to say its been great so far and is really the only place Theo will go to sleep by himself.

Wow, Bodkin - 12 - 6.30 that's a good sleep!!! I bet your boobs were agony! Theo missed a feed the other night and it was so sore (he was still awake mind but just couldn't feed well cos of his cold). I really hope the colic settles - I see you've got some tips from here - I've heard good things about colief? Great that last night was better - your DH will have to take Isla to the pu every night .

Talking of Theo's cold - how long can one cold last!!!! Aaaarrrrrggghh, he's been snotty for about 2 weeks and its interfering with his night time feeds now as he is too bunged up to suck properly. Grrrrr... And, I think my boob thrush is back - very sore again so we are now back on the gel for Theo's mouth and my nips. Apart from that we are great here - well, actually DH and I were meant to be taking Theo out for a nice walk this evening to a pub for a drink. My MIL came round to babysit DS1 but then DH and I had a massive row when we were about 2 streets away from the house (about something stupid of course!) so we then walked in silence until we then decided to just come back home. I was so angry I kicked a lamp post . I'd have felt really stupid if I'd broken a toe . We are still not talking so I'm camped upstairs with MN so its not all bad

So, how were the MW's appst Seaside and MrsMc? I hope they went really well. MrsMc, am so sorry to hear you are not feeling well recently and Grrrrr at your assistant!! Thats all you need eh - just keep telling yourself that you'll be out od there soon. It really wont be long. The class sounds pretty informative but i hate it when people are overly negative about pregnancy and life with a newborn. Its never going to be a walk in the park but generally its a wonderful experience!!! I'd recommend the NCT classes - I really enjoyed mine and was with the girls for lunch today. Its funny to see the kids all grown up now . Time flies by so quickly.

Hey Greeds - You suddenly get really organised and feel SO much better. I did a massive shop to mothercare one day and got all the essentials and really enjoyed crossing loads of things off my list

Wow, so there are a few more big babies on this thread!

Anyway, best be off - going to try for an early-ish night. Theo still waking every 2 or 3 hours in the night.

Firsty - I hoe your trip out was good!? Re: routines, Max just seemed to fall into his own routine but like Bodders, I was putting him to bed in his room at 7.30 ish from about 10 or 12 weeks. I didn't worry too much about the feeding / sleeping during the day but it all seemed to fall into place. Sometimes there can be too much emphasis on getting a baby trained properly when it all usually works out in its own time. Or maybe I can say that quite easily as both DS's have been quite regular at feeding every 3 hours. . I'd suggest just go with your own instinct as you know Ty better than anyone.

Chooster · 22/08/2007 21:52

Sorry - a lot of that was total gibberish!!! Hope you can sift through it to see what I was trying to say...

One obvious mistake was 'pub' not 'pu' . I think I need some sleep....

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/08/2007 22:39

very quick post cos i have only just finished painting and i am KNACKERED so i am off to watch some crap TV before bed!

BUT.......firsty..i am all for routines!!! i waited till about 4 weeks with ds until even attempting a routine, but with dd we did it from day 1 more or less and they both slept through like angels from 8 weeks and fed every 3 1/2 4 hrs during the day once we started the routine! ..................actually ..........it wasn't quite that simple with ds cos he had reflux, but it was definately that simple with dd!

bodders - glad you had a better night! the cycling legs thing is something that i teach new mums when i show them how to do baby massage for colic. and always remember to massage the abdomen clockwise too!!!

chooster - sorry to hear about your row with dh. hope you sort it soon. tiredess for both of you is probably a lot to blame isn't it?

fettle - congrats to your lovely dd in her sports day!

hello everyone else, off to watch some crap telly !

Hi, just popping on quickly...

Chooster - love it! I kicked a lampost in rage a few years back and did break my toe. What a numpty! All because I'd left my favourite hat on the tube! I am sure that tiredness played a huge part in yours and Dhs row. Hope things are better today, and really sorry to ehar you are still battleing with the thrush. Can you take Diflucan while BF or not - that's always worked really well for me in the past as it clears out your whole system, not just treating the affected area.

Fettle - can't wait to see the pics of your DD running through the tape, egg still on spoon

Greedy - sounds like you are a painting machine at the moment. Health visitor said about massaging the abdomen clockwise as well - Firsty I think thats because it is the direction the gut goes in, so you are massaging the air along the colon and out of their bottom, rather than trying ot force it up the other way!

Another good night last night - fingers crossed this is the shape of things to come! Everyone seems vaguely horrified at DPs trip to the pub wiht his youngest daughter - its no smoking now you know! And actually, it was the bar in a posh hotel that our friends own, so not really a spit and sawdust kind of place

Gorgeous weather here today - I am definitely having a dip in the sea later

Bodkin · 23/08/2007 12:52

sorry about typos and rubbish spelling - i am in a hurry xx

seaside72 · 23/08/2007 13:49

Afternoon everyone

about lampost toe incident Chooster! My DH broke his little toe a few weeks ago when his best mate came to stay and they got hideously drunk at home (like only men approaching their 40's can do!) and DH tripped over best mate's baby's car seat in the hall.I thought it was extremely funny Hope your argument has been resolved and toe is not all black and blue.

greedy - go easy on all that painting! Hope you are wearing a mask!! You realise you will have to post some pics of the finished job now

Firststar - Good point about buggy/shopping dilemma - had nt thought of that but it must be difficult. Hopefully the experienced ones will be on to tell us the secret!

Bodkin - yippee for good night and for sunny weather

fettle - great news about DD's sports day - congrats!!

I had mw apt yesterday - nearly didnt make it as managed to do a very preg brain/ dozie blond thing - Got delayed at vets appt in the morn but continued on with my day anyway - and went to mega tesco xtra around lunchtime - realised 20 minutes after I got there that I was running too late - (it was already 1.30 and I had to be back home by 2pm to get suff and then onto mw at 2.30) so rushed around getting essentials (very bummed cos love going to the mega store and mooching around slowly saddo I am!!) anyway ran to car it was already 2pm threw all stuff in car shoved trolley back and slammed boot door - ARGHHH - keys handbag phone etc all inside and doors still locked - - ran inside and pleaded with cust serv to let me make a call - luckily DH was in - so he had to come over with spare keys - by this time it was 2.30 ad I had started to blub in the car park cos was missing my appt and so wanted to hear hb. Anyway called mw and said I was so sorry and she was lovely and just told me to come as soon as I could - so got there asap and all was good - phew
Searched for a bit for hb as it was up high but meanwhile heard loads of kicks etc!. Then found good stong hb - 156bpm. A bit faster than last time. Thought my bp would be through the roof after the stress but it was OK too.

Anyway - apologies for rambling story but thought the stupidity would make you all smile

Must go and do some work
xxxx

BTW - Think MrsMc appt was OK also as I am sure I saw a post on the due in Jan thread - sure she wil be back to tell us soon too.

fettleandminifettle · 23/08/2007 14:05

hi all

At work, being naughty!!

Firsty - I'm a great "do what you feel is best" kind of person. We didn't obviously stick with a routine, but fell into one pretty quickly. Not quite sure what we will do with this little one, but do want him to be able to sleep a bit better than DD - not sure how we will do that though!!

anyway, shopping with a pram - either balance it on the hood, or over the handle bars, depending on what type of pram you've got. If only shopping a little, I used to put my shopping in the hood, and just hope noone thought I was shop-lifting as I did always pay!!

Sorry, no photos - tried, but Mumsnet kept crashing, so I think they are still too big - I'll try minimising them even more and then try again tonight.

Our romantic weekend is off as we too caring parents. DD announced she didn't want to stay at my sisters if we weren't there and bearing in mind how unsettled she's been and how disorganised our house is and how panicky I'm getting about not being ready for baby, we've decided to have my sister come visit us for the weekend (save some money on the hotel as well - DH had booked the Savoy!!!). Sis will still babysit on Saturday night, so we can go out somewhere, which will be lovely. And hopefully by Monday evening our house will be a bit more organised and tidy and I'll be feeling more relaxed about everything!

Chooster - thanks for the amby advice - I'll look it up tonight.

Bodders - I want to go swimming - it is so hot!!! sounds so inviting!

Greedy - take it easy on yourself. You're not allowed to have your baby early, unless I do to!

Anyway, best go - back later properly.

xxx

MrsMcJnr · 23/08/2007 15:02

Sorry didn?t get back on yesterday, hope I didn?t worry any of you. Heard beanie?s heartbeat at MW and all seemed fine

Will catch up but just wanted to tell you the latest family saga! My Mum has now got her blood results. Not only is she heterozygous for Factor 2 (which I have) but she is also homozygous for MTHFR. I think this means that she must have got the latter mutation from both her parents apparently only 1-3% of population have Factor 2 and only 1-3% of those have this second mutation. She is now flipping out as she has been told that her risk of thrombosis is substantially increased due to the multiple genetic risk factors and thinks she?ll be prescribed warfarin for life (and won?t be allowed booze never mind HRT!) Have no idea what this means for me! I will of course speak to my consultant but am freaking a bit, I?ve seen the phase ?neural defects? too many times when reading about MTHFR today

Chooster · 23/08/2007 16:56

Oh dear MrsMc - does that mean you may have this other type too? You poor mum, it must be odd being diagnosed with something when she hadn't been ill - if you know what I mean - ita all quite out the blue for her I guess. So is that no booze at all for life? Glad the MW appt went well for you tho...

And you too seaside - that must have stressed you out so much - thank goodness DP was in to rescue you!

Theo had his 6 wk HV visit today and they say he's doing well - gained 10 oz since last week and is now up to 10lb 8. He's doing all the right things but am still waiting for the elusive first real smile!!! Not sure if i've mentioned it or not but he has an umbilical hernia which has been getting steadily bigger so we'll see the GP next week to see if anything needs to be done about it.

All is well again in the chooster household. We made up when we were both awake in the night... We're all off for an early dinner out in a minute as well so that should be fun - yes, def do see the funny side of the lamp post kicking incident

MrsMcJnr · 23/08/2007 16:58

Thanks Firsty Re Xmas ? no back up driver (none will want a dry Xmas) and I?ll kill him if he has a drink! I?m trying to convince him I?m already too pregnant to drive but it?s not washing ? yet! You?ve convinced me on the towel score ? will just have to dig out the navy ones I have somewhere when the time comes! Re your waters breaking ? do you think that?s why there is a separate entrance for women in labour? Glad your first trip out was a success

I have put in a bold request to work from home 2 days a week for the rest of the pregnancy ? don?t know whether they?ll agree but it?s worth a shot! It makes such a massive difference to my day getting up at 8 instead of 6 and avoiding public transport!

Bodkin ? glad you got more sleep last night and that Isla was more settled PMSL at your story telling ? like it! Thanks for the low down on the almond oil, must be difficult to reach that bit in the later stages I guess with the smoking ban, babies can go to pubs now!

Fettle ? it must be very different when you have one already! work have sort of used the working from home request as a carrot to work more chargeable hours but that has caused a row as they are effectively saying that I cannot count mat appointments towards my time recording which is illegal!! watch this space! DD sounds quite a sports woman.

Hey Chooster ? my sis is back so I?ve emailed her about the gaviscon and having a chat I?ll get back to you soon on that. Can?t believe Theo is 6 weeks now! Must meet up again soon sorry about Theos?s cold and the fight (funny image of you kicking a lamp post though )

Hello Greedy

Hey Seaside ? sorry to hear about your day yesterday! glad it got better our beanie?s HB was similar in Old wives tale land is that boy or girl?! My BP was high again.

Ahhhh got to go, more later

fettleandminifettle · 23/08/2007 19:00

Hi all

Back again

sorry crossed with you earlier Seaside - got caught up in some discussion at work, then realised i hadn't posted, so quickly did it and now seen i crossed with you - wasn't ignoring you - promise!!.. So pleased your appointment went well, once you finally got there - what a nightmare afternoon though. How is your dog BTW? hope getting better. If it makes you feel better, we have a large storm drain outside our house, just where we park the car and ever since we've bought the house, I've said we are going to drop some keys down there at some point and sure enough DH did just that last week - luckily he did manage to pull the grate off and put his hand down to retrieve them, but it made me feel slightly better that he is not pregnant, but just as clumsy at times!!

Mrs - at your work - where do you work? Obviously a small place. It is completely illegal to not give you paid time off for your maternity appointments. you are even able to take time off for antenatel classes, including physio, exercise or relaxation classes if related to your pregnancy. It is so unfair they are being so bad to you, at at time you should be relaxing and watching that Blood Pressure of yours. Hope they take to the working from home solution - I'd certainly like that, but it wouldn't work with DD, as her nursery is near work, but my 60 mile daily round commute is starting to wear on me a bit. If I get a chance, I'll see what I can find out at work tomorrow about your mother's mutation to try and put your mind at rest.

Chooster - glad you and DH have made up. Never been tempted to kick anything I have to say - too much of a wimp to hurt myself! Glad Theo is thriving - hope his hernia sorts itself out.

Bodders - how was the swim? Did you take Isla in with you?

Greedy - you calmer today? How is all the building work going? Are the builders behaving themselves? Not arguing or falling through ceilings?

Firsty - hope you managed another trip out today. Especially as the weather seems to have taken a turn for the better.

Hope Honey didn't get too washed out camping this week - she must be home soon.

Hello anyone I've missed - DH is bustling around me, so i'd better go and help him tidy!!

Can I just moan a bit? Just a bit shocked to pick up DD at nursery this evening to discover that she'd got a splinter playing in the wooden wendy house - now that I don't mind and I understand that for health & safety reasons they are not allowed to try and remove the splinter themselves. But it was obvious as soon as I saw her that she was in pain - she was pale, subdued and clutching her sore finger in her fist and resolutely not using that hand. I said I was surprised that they had not at least rung me to tell me it had happened to give me the option of coming to get her early - which I would have done. She's now gone straight to bed as soon as she came home, as she'd fallen asleep in the car and didn't want to do anything else when she got home. So we haven't even been able to look at her finger - DH is going to have a look once she's in a really deep sleep and try and get it out. Anyway, sorry, just a bit upset that they didn't call me - first real time I've not been happy since she started though and she's only got a week left!

MrsMcJnr · 23/08/2007 20:06

Fettle ? sorry to hear the romance is off guess you all do have a lot on your plate! Thanks for the for me. I just can?t believe the attitude, there are over 300 employees and it is a middle tier law firm so they should absolutely know better kind of you to look into that mutation for me ? don?t want to add any more to your load though Course you can moan ? I feel like that is all I do, at work, home and online That?s awful about the splinter it?s crazy that they can?t take it out too! Poor DD, I hope you get it out, my sis had to take my nephew to A&E to get one out of his toe, they told my sis that splinters should be removed as soon as possible in kids

Chooster ? thanks hon there is good chance that I have this mutation too but they can?t check me until I am not pregnant. Great that Theo is doing so well sorry about the hernia glad all is well in the Chooster house

fettleandminifettle · 23/08/2007 20:36

Mrs - just e-mailed you.
xxx

Bodkin · 23/08/2007 22:00

hi all

Fettle thats terrible about your dds finger ! hope its ok.

Chooster - my DD1 had an umbilical hernia - I didn't even notice it at first, my mum pointed it out to me - her belly button resembled a button mushroom! I was told by hv it didn't cause her any discomfort, but I have to say I was a bit about that, because she certainly seemed in discomfort! Anyway, it went down without me having to do anything, although cant remember how long it took.

Mrs and Seaside - glad appts went well.

better go - isla is very wriggly and clawing at my arm, i feel asctreaming fit coming on....

BabyMadandBIGbump · 24/08/2007 09:57

Hi Ladies sorry I haven't been on all week, I've just not had the time, trying to get into some sort of routine with house and DC but not working out, I'm not trying to get DD into a routine yet as she is still to little for that but the house work, DS and so on, and trying to get some good sleep isn't working. My appetite isn't good I'm having to remind myself to eat and when I do I feel sicky but hoping that will past soon. HV came on Tuesday Connie now is 9lb 14oz she put on 7oz's in 4 days she loves her food, bless! My mother is having my DS's over the weekend I hope it gives DH and I time to ourselves, and time to get to know our DD without making DS's feel left out! Also a big day tomorrow seeing my mother for the first time in 2 years, she's coming to see DD for the first time, I hope it goes okay I don't think I'm emotionally ready for a confrontation, if one comes about, we'll see! As for the name change sorry I haven't done it yet It's just I'll have to load a load of pic's as I've noticed when you change your name the pic's disappear and I cant be arse& LOL, also DH said that I've gone pink mad just lately, so I might have to see "PinkMad" or BuggyMad" even though I've got my eye on another 2 pushchair's LOL!

Thanks Fettle, very useful

Bodders ? hello

Babymad ? nice to see you you ok? Weekend sounds lovely but you must be a bit nervous about seeing your Mum hope it goes well!

Bodkin · 24/08/2007 15:00

Babymad - good luck with your mum this weekend. and enjoy your special time alone with your little girl (and DH )too!

I've got my mum coming this weekend too. She's just split up with her on/off boyfriend who she was quite in love with. Poor Ma - we have a funny relationship these days, but I do think she's going through the mill with this one, so better clear some possett off my shoulder and offer it up for her to cry on

Just put a new picture up - I think Isla was about 4 weeks in it. She's really coming out of the "new baby" phase now - we have eye contact, gorgeous smiles, cute squeaks and much less crying - phew!

Had lovely swim in the sea yesterday with DP and DD1 - Isla slept through it all! But when she woke up later and I went to feed her, thank gawd I had a quick glance at my nip before I stuck it in her mouth - it was covered in little bits of seaweed and sand - yum!

Cheerio - hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday

honeyapple · 24/08/2007 21:51

Hi all!

Just spent the last hour reading the week's posts. Too much to comment on I'm afraid, but glad to hear everyone seems well and I havent missed any early births .

Camping- OMG! The WIND!!!! I thought our tent was going to take off. Had a few crappy nights cos I kept being woken up by the gales and the tent flapping madly. No sun at all until today . But fear not, we soldiered on like good Brits. Cricket and sand castles on the beach... DS and some of his cousins even swam in the sea. Kids don't seem to care whether it rains or shines so they had a fab time.

I am off to Austria tommorrow for 3 nts to stay with my SIL. Feeling slightly knackered, but will be great to have a few days kid free. It is really beautiful where she lives... mountains etc... just like Heidi. Not sure I will be doing too much hiking though!

Bodders- wanted to say that Bluebell was the name DD had chosed if LO was a girl, I think it is lovely.

Chooster · 24/08/2007 21:59

Good luck tomorrow babymad - that must feel strange seeing your mum after so long, but I hope its a positive experience. Enjoy your DS free weekend!!! Enjoy being a mum-of-one for a couple of days

Very cute pics Bodkin - I think we are about a week behind you with Theo's development. He's now staying awake for longer periods and being much more alert. Just put him to bed now and I'm really hoping for a 4 hour stint out of him before he wakes - so I'm going to head to bed soon.

Oh, I really hope you dont have that mutation MrsMc. Grrrr, about your work!!! I really hope they go for the working from home idea as it will be so much more relaxing for you. If they go for it then let me know as my and Theo could pop over one day when you are at home during the week. More relaxing than meeting in town.

Fettle - Thats so annoying about the splinter. I know myself that they can be so sore . DS1 had one the other day and he literally had to pin DS down to get it out. He really didn't want it touched it was that sore, but they've got to come out haven't they.

We had a dodgy start to the day today as I seemed to be really emotional and teary - no idea why. I think I just felt really fat and horrible, I was having a bad hair day and was just plain tired. Last night wasn't any worse than any other but I guess after 6 weeks of getting only 5 hours broken sleep a night has been taking its toll. Anyway, so I'm a bit fragile and DH makes some stupid comments and before you know it I'm in floods of tears . Oh dear.... Anyway, we went to the zoo (me still snuffling in the car) but had a great time when we were there. We bumped into a couple of DS's pals from his nursery and their mums and the kids had a ball... Then my, DH and the boys went for a burger and milkshake in town. All in all a great end to a lovely sunny day... Hormones and emotions are funny things - it all catches you unexpectedly sometimes...

Thanks for the info on the hernia Bodkin. Theo's has become really big to the point that there are no folds in his belly button it sticks out so much - IYSWIM? Anyway the HV has made us an appt at the GP baby clinic on Wednesday so will see that they say. It certainly looks sore to me?!?

Anyway, bed for me.... Enjoy sunny weekends everyone x

Hi all

Sunny, sunny, sunny here today and yesterday - and we are stuck in the house doing unpacking chores - on our wedding anniversary too!!!

Sis has taken DD out for an adventure to find the source of a strange noise we heard this morning - the noise has stopped, so I doubt they'll be able to find it, but at least it means DH and I can get on with work. Then we are going to the local adventure playground with a picnic and then a nice romantic meal out for 2 tonight, so will be a good day, I think!

Honey, sorry to hear weather wasn't great this week - quite bad timing. But enjoy Austria - sounds lovely!

Mrs - hope you are having a relaxing weekend. Is it a Scottish Bank Holiday on Monday? I can never remember. I know we picked this weekend to get married as it was the Bank holiday, so people wouldn't have an excuse not to travel all the way up to St Andrews! Cos as my aunt always says to my Mum, "it is so much further for us (gloucestershire) to come to you (Fife), than it is for you to come to us"! now you work that one out!!

Chooster - sorry to hear your hormones are still messing you around - tiredness is an awful thing. And unfortunately there isn't much you can do about it - DH and I are definitly sniping at each other more than usual, as I'm not sleeping well because of my hips and he's not sleeping well because he says it is like sleeping with a large heffalump - I'm surrounded by pillows and take about 5 mins grunting and groaning to turn over, so I can see what he means!!!. Either way, we are both knackered and don't even have a baby to contend with yet!! you look afterself and make sure your boys do too! hope Theo's hernia is ok.

Greedy - where you? Hope all ok? OMG, you're off having your baby without me aren't you?!! That's not fair! i've still got 5 weeks to wait!

Bodders - enjoy the sunshine and the sea this weekend - very jealous you live so close to the sea!

Firsty - hope you and Ty are still doing well?

Buggymad - hope today with your Mum is ok. I'm sure the prescence of lovely little Connie will help calm any tensions.

Hello everyone else - got to go unpack some more boxes, or else sis will wonder what earth we have been doing while she's been pounding the streets of our town!!

Still not managed to get the splinter out BTW - even the nurse at the surgery couldn't get it out. Hot baths and lashings of Sudocrem under a plaster at night apparently, is the way to go!! Hasn't worked so far, but at least it isn't sore anymore. children's skin heals so quickly, that it is well imbedded in now she says - makes me even more angry nursery didn't ring me when it happened so I could have tried to get it out before the skin healed itself! Anyway, sorry, bit moany!!

Take care all
xxx

so much to say and so little time again! have been busy busy busy painting dinosaurs on ds's wall, putting dd's flatpack wardrobe together etc in between trying to play and entertain the kids a bit! my sis did come round yesterday to take them out for the afternoon while we got on with our massive list of things to do! at the moment we are in a mad panic to get the kids in their new bedrooms so we can move all their crap out from downstairs cos the builders are plastring downstairs tomorrow! (on a bank holiday, no less!) anyway! i am missing out on the only few sunny days of the year and getting thoroughly pissed off with the whole house thing, but i guess its not for much longer!

fettle - hope dd's finger is ok. wish i was there.......i love picking splinters out!!! does that make me slightly weird?!!! ......................as if i would be having my baby already!!!!! i am waiting for you! and as my ds keeps telling my tummy...." you cant come out yet, the extension isn't finished!!"

babymad - hope it went ok with your mum. you are worrying me that it might be hard work with 3 dc? its not really is it?!!!

bodders - that is NEVER you in that picture, you dont look like someone who has just had a baby! i reckon you must have got a stunt double for the photo!!!

honeyapple - welcome back and goodbye again for a few days!!!

firsty - i dont think there is a secret to shopping with a buggy.......but once you have no. 2 (have you started ttc no. 2 yet!!!???) and get a double buggy there is a lot more room for shopping on the top!!!!

chooster - glad you had fun at the zoo! and you are allowed to cry and be emotional and hormonal at the moment, it is EXPECTED of you!! i would be disappointed if you weren't!! it wont last for long, just keep remembering that!!!

seaside - hello!!! so how many weeks are you now then? how are your boobs doing? have they grown at all yet?!!!

mrs - good luck with the working from home thing! that would be lovely wouldn't it?
