PREDICTIONS

BabyMadwithBump on Thu 24-May-07 14:57:52
I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!

Chooster on Thu 24-May-07 15:08:03
Oh, predictions!!!!
For me, I reckon boy (guess that's in the bag), 23rd July, 8lbs 2oz

MrsMcJnr on Thu 24-May-07 15:22:29
I'll be brave and have faith and predict for me:
Boy, 6lbs 10oz, 13/1 (11/07/07 I?ve changed my mind about my bean ? think it?s a she)

KitKat30 on Thu 24-May-07 15:26:29
Ooooh predictions... I reckon for me:
Boy (err that was an easy one)
2nd September
7lbs 12oz

firststar on Thu 24-May-07 15:47:32
Hi ladies
first of all let me get business out of the way....predictions...for me a boy 7lb 2oz (going against all my big baby comments) 22nd July (early I think) , upping the weight prediction of mine to 8lb 6oz.

seaside72 on Thu 24-May-07 16:18:25
predictions - arghh - I have no idea - if we get there I am sure I will be late - 24 January is my prediction
weight ??
sex - would be lying if I did not say girl - but thats more about preconceptions and imagining rather than what I actually feel - Chinese cal says girl but realstically I think prob boy - my DH is convinced it's a boy already!

honeyapple on Fri 25-May-07 08:29:20
I predict to be late... as was VERRY late with DD... also predict baby to be a bit bigger... 7 lb 10 maybe?
How about 31/10/07 7.10 girl (changed to BOY 12/07/07)
(halloween baby!)

fettleandminifettle on 11/07/07 25th September, 8lbs exactly!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 06/08/2007 09:13

Morning Ladies!

Hope everyone had a good weekend I had a busy one, still got lots to do today!

Still no news from firsty, she was due the 26/07 which would make her 11 days over, so if no baby she would of had an induction by now, so she must have her baby !

I've had lots of belly pains and backache but just disappear when I go to bed, it'll happen soon, DS have gone to the seaside with gran today and wont be back till late and DH at work (not happy) he said this morning before leaving "this is not on you know" and gave me a smile bless!

Hope every one is fine and well today!

Babymadxxx

honeyapple · 06/08/2007 09:16

Cor... a lot has been happening! Taken me a while to catch up... think I have got most of the major news!

Kitkat- congratulations on the birth of your lovely LO. Hope you are all doing well.

Rainbowdays- great to see you back so quickly. Really hope this is a good and sticky one for you .

Seaside- Ha! Unite in the anti-ironing front!

Mrs- sorry to hear house selling going a bit pants. Hope it happens soon.

Chooster- Theo sounds fine on the feeding front- if he seems happy and content and is putting on weight that is all that matters. Hope the thrush clears up soon.

Bodders- I dont think middle names are really that important so you should just go for whatever you fancy. DP currently wants this boy to have Flash as a middle name

Iampg- sorry your DP is being a bit of an arse at the moment. I am kind of anti porn really... especially internet stuff as it is just so dodgy IMO and you could end up looking at some seriously nasty stuff. I know most men do probably have a bit of a look but I would really rather not know about it! As for the flirting thing, that actally doesnt bother me, as long as I know that my man is 100% with me and not really looking for a replacement. PG hormones do make you feel more vulnerable, but some behaviour isnt acceptable, and PG women need more reassurance than ever.

Greedy- great news that work on house is coming along quickly.

Firsty- where are you?????

Babymad- how are you feeling? Where your other babies early? late?

honeyapple · 06/08/2007 09:20

Sorry, posted that a bit quickly... didnt quite finish!

Did I miss anyone off? Sure I have, have a niggling feeling...

Holiday was generally a success! Didnt have great weather . 2 days of pissing it down and sitting on the beach with umbrellas. Ate loads of crepes and gallettes. Kids had a great time, managed to get them to go to a few 'boring' mummy places! My dad made us all do a bit of culture, so I am just following on in the family tradition!

Babymad- guess you are probably right about firsty .

honeyapple · 06/08/2007 09:22

Fettle! How could i forget you! Sorry my lovely!

MrsMcJnr · 06/08/2007 09:57

Hey ladies hope you all had good weekends. Mine went too quickly but it was good

Rainbowdays lovely to have you back here! PMA hon, that?s what helps! Thanks for your good vibes for me about the house, we had a viewer on Friday night but I don?t think its going to go anywhere he had 4 daughters and his mother would live with them too and 3 bathrooms wasn?t enough for 5/6 bedrooms (we have a study too).

I?m feeling really feisty today already had 2 rows at the train station I?m not usually like that but I saw red when people were rude to me

Hey Chooster thanks for the good vibes from you too how are things? How are the nappies going? Can?t help with your questions

Greedy, hello! you?ve got mail hope it doesn?t disappoint! keep away from the house hon! You don?t need that stress!

Hey Babymad how are you hon? Hope something happens soon hon

Iampg lovely long post from you! Sorry to hear things are still frosty with DP, you?ve got to speak to you hon, all the pent up sadness and anger won?t be doing you or the baby any good. Please have it out with him. I can?t survive a day without cuddles and kisses. Very of your mat leave, sounds fab! I?ll be working until 21/12 but DH is taking 4 weeks off when the baby is born, I think that?s fab how are things with your house plans?

Thinking of you Firsty and hoping all is ok

Fettle ? hello! how are you feeling? I read a tip in a magazine that said you should put a hair bobble on your wrist to remind you which boob you fed from last as with visitors and things, it?s easy to forget! sorry I can?t help with your questions either. Stinking weather here what was yesterday like Chooster, April? December? that said my train was so hot on Friday night that I started to pass out wasn?t nice! You sound like me, I look forward to the AN appointments too as they generally mean I get a lie in!

Welcome home Honeyapple did you have a lovely time? Your kids will thank you for the culture one day!

Bodkin · 06/08/2007 10:07

Still no news of Firsty???? I am a bit worried - I mean, she is such a regular poster I had visions of her posting within seconds of giving birth. Really really hope everything is ok and she's back soon to give us all the news.

Hello to everyone else! Honeyapple - am very impressed you managed to catch up with all the gossip! I struggle if I'm away from here for 2 days! Your hols sounded good and I'm now craving lovely French nosh...

Fettle - hope the pains subside - it does sound like they could be related to the iron tablets and trapped wind/constipation, but best mention it to the MW next time you go.

Chooster - re. feeding - we seem to have got into a pattern of Isla feeding about every 2.5 to 3 hours during the day and she'll usually do one full boob (about 20 mins + a bit of winding time) and sometimes she'll have a couple of gulps off the second as well(which she will occasionally throw back up all over me!). Then from about 5/6pm onwards,, she goes a bit manic, wanting to feed every hour (or so it seems) and is all breathless and hiccuppy and very difficult to settle. Last night I finally got her down at 9pm which is the earliest for a long time (normally 10/11pm) Seem to remember DD1 being the same up until about 10 weeks, so only 6 more weeks of bonkers evenings to go! Took the radical step of putting her in the cot in her own room last night, which may have helped with her early night! Feel like she has grown out of the moses basket already (and because it is hot she seems a bit sweaty in there) Was lovely to have our room back to our selves, and we celebrated with a quick shag Hoooraaaay!

Better go - DD1 pestering me for her turn on the computer and it's driving me nuts, so I'll just round up everyone else...

Greedy - am sure it will all start to look better at yours soon - this is the worst part, it can only get better from here!

Fettle - am jealous of your clutter clearing session - I've got bags of stuff to take to charity shops, but no time to do it, so the house resembles a jumble sale at the mo!

Babymad - Do what Chooster and I did - go round telling everyone you've probably got another couple of weeks to go before you ahve this baby - chances are he/she will appear within the next 24 hours

MrsMc - maybe things will pick up on the house selling front once the school hols are over - I seem to remember from when we were selling our place it went very quiet in August, then come september we had 2 offers in a week

Rainbowdays - welcome back - that's fantastic news!

Seaside - Hi!

Iwillbe - Hi to you too. Hope things with DP are a bit better.

Kitkat - how are you getting on - any chance of a picture?!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 06/08/2007 10:10

Honey and MrsMc, Yes I'm fine thanks just hot and busy but at least I only have myself to look after today, both DS's were born before now, so this PG make it my longest, But on the pos side I will more than likely have my baby this time next week at the (10 days late -induction ) latest, I've served LO an eviction notice but still not getting the message, if not born this time next week the MW/doctors will have to send in the bailiffs! LOL!

the house.....grrr we were due to exchange today but i received a letter from our solicitor saying that the mortgage company are still after 2 bits of info so we now have to wait for that we have done all we can and the vendor is being very pushy! we will get there, we had another look at it on saturday i just cannot wait to get in there nd start designing!!!

honeyapple - glad you had a lovely holiday glad to have you back xx

bodkin - crack open the champers - il let you have my glass good on you for your first post baby shag!!

we have had such gorgeous weather this weekend had bbq sat and sun- bliss! making the most of my shorts and skimpy tops before i start looking ridiculous

i had a funny turn saturday we looked at our new house taking some measurements and i went weak like jelly and i told dp i didnt feel right so he said we should go, i walked outside and had to prop myself up at the fence and when i looked up i couldnt see anything but brightlights, when i went to move i fell luckily dp caught me and literally carried me to the car then after 5 mins i felt fine. i have put it down to the sun but going to keep an eye on it. was scary though!!

hope you are all having a fun monday!

MrsMcJnr · 06/08/2007 15:40

Hey ladies my heart nearly stopped just now, I couldn?t get into MN past the security ? I thought I was done for but somehow got back in phew!

Firsty ? congratulations again hon can?t get over the weight of your boy! I?m putting my order in now for a lighter one!

Hey Bodders shagging already !!! Hope you are right about the house the kids go back to school here next Tues. Sounds mean but I have been so jealous of my teacher neighbour and her closed curtains every morning, I shall be delighted when?s she?s back at work too

Babymad love your eviction chat! Tenants these days know their rights though! keep that frame of mind, it?ll serve you well!

Iampg ? good to hear you have talked hope the mortgage co get you in soon what fun! Sorry to hear about your funny turn odd thing is that something similar happened to me on the train on Friday night, it was really hot and my ears started to buzz and I started to faint! Apparently it?s quite common in pg ladies, my Mum did it all the time, down to blood pressure I think! Take it easy!

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 15:41

Mrs-i just got bfp!

MrsMcJnr · 06/08/2007 15:42

MrsMcJnr · 06/08/2007 16:33

They do say that the can just sneak up on you when you least expect it it's lovely hon! You'll need to add yourself to our stats list there are so many popping at the moment that we do need reinforcements!

honeyapple · 06/08/2007 16:41

congratulations firsty!
Wow- that is a big boy! No wonder you needed some help to get him out... wouldnt fancy that kind of size passing thru my lady garden! Does he fit in any newborn stuff?
Really happy for you and hope you feel less knackered and sore etc soon... what's his name then?

Congrats Scorpio

fettleandminifettle · 06/08/2007 18:30

Firsty - so pleased to hear from you. I was getting a little worried for you. What a weight! I bet in a way, you're glad you had a C-section in the end! I so hope I don't go overdue as I'll be due a big one too!! So pleased to hear that the pain went isntantly from the spd and back ache. It was the same with DD's pregnancy, so I'm hoping for the same this time around too.

So glad to hear that there are no signs of a heart condition in the little one (any name that you care to share with us?!).

Have to shoot off now, DD's gone straight to bed again tonight as shattered after yet another tiring day - hope she's not coming down with something. So i have to cook supper now and then get on with the pre-move declutter! What joy? Don't be too jealous Bodders, our house is covered in black bin bags - just hope we know which is rubbish and which is recycling and which is for charity!! could go horribly wrong otherwise!!!

glad you had a good holiday Honey (neatly saved there, from a weepy emotional pg lady, feeling forgotten!!!).

Congratulations Scorpio - great news!!

BTW Temp buddy graduates, have you seen that Rah set up a thread over here, as she wanted to know how we were all getting on.

Really must go!
Take care all
xxx

Right, back again.

Firsty - sorry that was such a quick post earlier - just had to acknowledge the fantastic news but had screaming baby in one hand and bored 3 yr old in the other So pleased you are home and that everything is (finally) going well with the feeding. Good news that there is no sign of a heart condition. Well, you might have had your bub after me and Chooster - but in terms of weight, your lad is about 5 weeks ahead of Isla!!! Did I mention before that my sisters DS2 was 11lbs 12oz!!! So you still haven't quite broken her record! I am so pleased that all your aches and pains (spd etc.) have disappeared. Hope you are nuzzling up with your gorgeous boy and enjoying every minute of this well-earned special time. Can't wait to hear what name you have decided on, and see a piccy if you can put one on your profile (even if just for 24 hours)

Congrats Scopio1! And welcome to the thread!

Drat, baby awake again, gotta go xxx

Chooster · 06/08/2007 21:30

Oh WOW - gulp - 11lbs 5oz!!! Firsty, thats amazing!!!! Huge congratulations, you had us all wondering how you were. Very glad that he's feeding well and that last night was better for you. So whats the little fella called? Would someone pass me a glass of champagne too

Can't stop long as DH is out at my friends to look after her 3yr old as she has just gone into labour and is off to the hospital with her DH!!!! How exciting, babies everywhere!!!

So, you next Babymad! I think we are due another girl on this thread

Thanks for the feeding info Bodders... Theo has started to spit up milk a lot over the last coupleo of days culminating in a massive throw up today - the whole contents of two boobs came back up - at least thats what it looked like. Not sure if its just he was too greedy, or it was a dodgy burp or maybe reflux... Mmmm, will speak to HV about it.

Anyway, must scoot off - Hi to everyone else - Take it easy Iampg, we dont want any more funny turns from you.

Congratulations scorpio

fettleandminifettle · 06/08/2007 21:41

Ok then - Babymad is technically due now, but in the absence of conkertree (hope all ok with her!), it's you and me up next Greedy!! Makes it feel a bit more real reaslising we're getting to the top of that list!! Particularly bearing in mind your house state and the fact that i'm moving house this weekend (why do we do these things to ourselves!!).

I've come to terms with the hole in my wall in my house, think I need to move in and get furniture in place to really feel the effects of it - I'll try and get DH to help me upload a picture if anyone wants to see the offending hole that you all encouraged me to have knocked in my wall!!! Not that I'm blaming you all!!! Just thanking you!!

Can I also just share with you all, how much I hate preparing to move house!! We might be being very good and sorting lots of stuff out, but I still hate doing it - roll on next Wednesday evening, when we should be pretty much unloaded and settled in our own non-magnolia painted house! No more army quarters for at least 2 years!!! - yeah!!! Oh, I've just thought, I might lose contact for a while, we're staying with friends on Friday and Saturday night, then a hotel on Sunday and Monday night, then BT is connecting the line on Tuesday, but the broadband may have a slight delay! how will I cope without you all? Have to sneak on at work on Monday and Tuesday morning - but Babymad, the pressure's on, you better have your baby before Friday!!!

Mrs - sorry to hear you down about house-selling. They don't say that house buying and selling is one of the 3 most stressful things you can do for nothing! I'm sure something will turn up - it sounds fantastic. How are the injections going? you must be a pro at them now? How's your skin holding out? Do you have to have them right up until the birth, or only until a certain date? So many questions, sorry, being nosy!

Iampg - you need to look after yourself with those funny turns. how's your blood pressure? Low?

Bodders - good on you, getting back on the horse so to speak!! Remember that part really scared me after birth as it was so tender down there for quite a while, despite no tearing or stitches - hope I'm that lucky this time around again.

Kitty-kat - how you and Joe getting on? all good I hope.

Seaside - how's your dog?

Honey - glad you had a good holiday - was it relaxing despite the weather?

Greeds - how the mat leave plans going? Or should I not have brought that up again? 25 days to go until mine starts and not a moment too soon!

Hi Rainbowdays - hope you're still hanging on with us? Still keeping everything crossed for you.

Chooster - how's Theo? Have you had him weighed today? I'm sure he's feeding fine (Great hint from Mrs re the remembering which boob to go with each time, I'll try and remember that one!!)

Ok, must go - sorry to those I must have missed.
