PREDICTIONS

BabyMadwithBump on Thu 24-May-07 14:57:52
I've been dreaming of a baby girl, 9lb 2oz, on the 27 July with dark black hair, but I predict a baby boy, 8lb 1oz, also 27 July, with very light hair! We'll see!

Chooster on Thu 24-May-07 15:08:03
Oh, predictions!!!!
For me, I reckon boy (guess that's in the bag), 23rd July, 8lbs 2oz

MrsMcJnr on Thu 24-May-07 15:22:29
I'll be brave and have faith and predict for me:
Boy, 6lbs 10oz, 13/1 (11/07/07 I?ve changed my mind about my bean ? think it?s a she)

KitKat30 on Thu 24-May-07 15:26:29
Ooooh predictions... I reckon for me:
Boy (err that was an easy one)
2nd September
7lbs 12oz

firststar on Thu 24-May-07 15:47:32
Hi ladies
first of all let me get business out of the way....predictions...for me a boy 7lb 2oz (going against all my big baby comments) 22nd July (early I think) , upping the weight prediction of mine to 8lb 6oz.

seaside72 on Thu 24-May-07 16:18:25
predictions - arghh - I have no idea - if we get there I am sure I will be late - 24 January is my prediction
weight ??
sex - would be lying if I did not say girl - but thats more about preconceptions and imagining rather than what I actually feel - Chinese cal says girl but realstically I think prob boy - my DH is convinced it's a boy already!

honeyapple on Fri 25-May-07 08:29:20
I predict to be late... as was VERRY late with DD... also predict baby to be a bit bigger... 7 lb 10 maybe?
How about 31/10/07 7.10 girl (changed to BOY 12/07/07)
(halloween baby!)

fettleandminifettle on 11/07/07 25th September, 8lbs exactly!

Thanks Babymad - glad to know all is ok with Conker!

seaside72 · 06/08/2007 22:02

Wow - Firsty - wonderful news - Congratulatios to you and Mr Firsty - we were beginning to get worried! Sounds like a you had a hard time and phwoar - what a whopper baby firsty is! I cannot believe it did they give you any idea that he might be that big at your last check up/scan!! But none of that matters as long as you are both well and back home - thats all that's important. {{{{Big hugs}}}}} for you all.

Scorpio - Congratulations! Great news when are you due - Arpil? - are you going to join us over here!

Bodkin and Chooster - you both sound like such happy contented mummies - hoping you are still around in Jan for lots of guru style feeding etc advice
And bodkin -shagging already - I reckon it will be at least a year before I let DH near me after the birth !! Maybe it will be my Xmas 08 present to him!!!

Babymad - right - 1,2,3 .......start labour now!!! Firsty has popped and you have served notice on your sitting tenant fingers crossed!

Honeyapple - nice to have you back - sorry the weather was not so great but hopefully the last 2 days of scorching weather in the SE has made up for it! - Mmmmm - crepes - I really fancy one

Fettle - well done on the operation de-clutter - This time last year we were doing the same thing - We threw out 2 skips worth of stuff it felt great and I feel like I should do it every year (I am a terminal hoarder!) But it was such hard work -do take it easy hon.

Iampg - Oh your funny turn sounds scary - think MrsMc is prob right about the blood pressure - take are of yourself and check it out with your mw just to be safe. You are prob right about the sun too - I love the sun and even though we have not had that much down here I am much less tolerant of the heat than normal. Glad you had a talk with DP - just keep talking that's the key. Fingers crossed for the mortgage - it will happen.

MrsMc - Keeping fingers crossed for a rush of house offers as soon as the schools go back - I think Bodkin is right about the school hols - people either look before or after. You go for it feisty pregnant lady! Hope no one else else was rude to you today.

Greedy - where are you!! Cant believe you were not the first poster after firsty's news!!! Dont worry about the house hon it wil get there - it has to look worse before it can get better. Hope you stayed away from that hedge cutting- I think being heavily pregnant is excuse enough!

KitKat - hope you are getting on well - can we see a picture of young Joe soon?!

Right - BB time
Sleep well everyone xxx

seaside72 · 06/08/2007 22:12

xposts fettle - thanks for asking after our dog - well it turns out he may be a medical mystery - last week after the endoscopy they told us to expect the worse and they thought it was a tumour and his days were numbered - cue lots of crying from DH and I (we have had him for 9 years - got him from the RSPCA when we moved in together for the first time properly) and I was feeling a bit hard done by like we were losing one little life to gain another IYKWIM?? (prob sounds ridiculous to non pet people! )

Anyway this evening one of the vets called with the results of his biopsy and it is not so conclusive and may be not the big C but some bacterial infection or the like - they have never see anything like it before - so we will see I guess?

Bet you wished you hadn't asked now - LOL!

Rainbowdays - So sorry hon - I knew I had forgotten to mention you - I sooo hope you are still with us - thinking of you and hoping you and new bean are safe and well xxxxx

Ohhhhhhhh BABYMAD ? was catching up and saw this and got goose bumps all over, FABULOUS news, flavour, weight and everything!!! I am so delighted for you hon come back and tell us lots more as soon as you can yay that beautiful nursery has a princess to occupy it!

MrsMcJnr · 07/08/2007 10:30

Morning girls, feeling decidedly jaded today, like I have a hang over, not fair!

Fettle lovely long post from you! don?t overdo it with the packing now! Nice thread from Rah I just can?t believe that you and Greedy are nearly at the top of the list ? although so much has happened, the weeks have gone by pretty quickly haven?t they? Is it true what they say about army quarters? When they inspect, do they really check how clean the keyhole is with a cotton bud? Grandma told me that! Thanks for your kind words about the house I just feel so torn, I adore the house and would love to have our baby there and care for it there but we also want to get to Spain asap and I know that if we don?t sell the house we?ll need to find lots of money from somewhere or I?ll have to go back to work soon after the birth and if we do soon, our money issues will be massivelt reduced and life will be quite easy ? trying not to think about that. The injections are ok, some days better than others, my skin seems to be getting tougher and a really weird (llok away if squimish) thing happened on Sunday, I did the jag as usual but it was hard to get the needle in and then when I took it out, it sort of chugged out and a streak of blood squirted out ? first time that?s happened! Apparently, I have to contrinue with them for 8 weeks after the birth ? please pray that I don?t need a C section!!!

Babymad ? thanks for the updated stats so far we have 3 boys and 2 girls I see! That?s a relief about Conkertree, I was worried about her, not heard from her for ages and ages ? doesn?t she like us anymore? Can?t believe that after you, Fettle and Greedy are next in line!! It?s amazing (also saddening as I know we are getting closer to what should have been Ava?s due date ? sorry for the selfish dampner )

Bodders ? hello!

Chooster ? how exciting for your friend any news?

Hey Seaside thanks for the good house vibes no more rages yesterday and so far so good today! how are things with you hon? Rooting for your doggie glad things are looking brighter! I know what it?s like to worry about your furry babies, I lost my pussy cat the day I went back to work after 3 months off sick at least I had all that time cuddling her before she went.

Greedy got my email yet?!!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 07/08/2007 10:43

OP posts:
seaside72 · 07/08/2007 12:34

Wow Well done Babymad! You lot are like buses - none for ages and then 2 come along at once!!
Connie- is a lovely name! (Is it Constance in full? - love it!)

KitKat30 · 07/08/2007 13:15

Congrats Firsty and Babymad!!! So happy for you both!!!

Wow Firsty - 11 lbs 5 oz...!!! I am in awe...and to you too Babymad, no pain relief!!! I am a pathetic wimp in comparison...

All well here - promise to to post a photo and write more soon. Just in a whirlwind of feeding, nappies, not sleeping etc... He is worth it though

I dont know if you girls can help me actually - because he was so early he really didnt take to b/f, so we have been mixed feeding. I express as much as I can and then top up with formula... but how much is he supposed to have??? The midwives said 30mls every 3 hours but he's always hungry for more. According to various websites they say up to 60-90mls every feed for a 6lb baby... but that seems like an awful lot to me. Anyone got any advice?!?!? Help - 1st time mum and I'm sooooo confused...

KitKat30 · 07/08/2007 13:16

Sorry! Hellloooooo to everyone else

BabyMadandBIGbump · 07/08/2007 14:39

No not Constance DH and I are not keen so its just connie!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 07/08/2007 15:00

Babymad - we've been telling PIL that our baby will be Conception (pronunced in Spanish way) if a girl. Connie for short - Connie is sweet but Conception is just a wind up!

Bodkin · 07/08/2007 16:12

Fabulous news Babymad - soooo thrilled for you! Another pink one for us TTC ladies to even things up a bit! And I think Connie is a gorgeous name - love it love it love it! Cant wait to hear the full details of the birth - presumably it wasnt in the garden in the end?!. She is going to be one lucky girl with her two big brothers to look after her! Bet your boys are chuffed to bits, and your DH can finally get a few days off work

Sorry kitkat, cant help with your dilemma as i know very little about FF - try posting on the "breast and Bottle" section under "feed the world"

Hello everyone else!

Rainbowdays Due 08/04/08

Big congratulations to firsty and babymad. Well done to both of you. So impressed.

I have updated the list and added myself on, as finally I am feeling more confident - had a couple of days in hospital with pain and thought it was all over again, but today got to see the sac in the womb on the scan, and have beta hcg levels doubling nicely. So it all looks good so far. I also have a scan booked for 3 weeks time to check that the progress and see the baby hopefully!

tee-hee-hee can't believe that greedy and fettle are up there so soon. I hope you guys will stick with me until April!!!! Or I will have to come haunt you on the post-natal ttc-graduates thread!

fettleandminifettle · 07/08/2007 19:56

Babymad!! Congratulations!!! When I said last night to get on and have her, I didn't really expect you to take me at my word!!! So proud you managed with no pain relief and !!.

Beautiful name! You too Firsty, love the name Ty!

You both sound so relaxed and happy with everything.

Bit scary to see myself up next on that list!!!

Sorry, not a real messaage tonight as I'm totally shattered tonight, so off to bed now!

Take care all
xxx

iampgatlast · 07/08/2007 20:20

Honeyapple LOL homebirth was fine thanks don't know weather I would of liked a hospital better though let me get back to you on that, no drugs due to me not asking they had G&A but I waited and waited and waited till I just had her without anything, NOT quick enough lol!

How is everyone today?

Babymad (need a new name) xxx

OP posts:
seaside72 · 08/08/2007 09:58

Rainbowdays - lovely to see you on the list officially

Babymad - we want to hear all the details of little connie's arrival! - another no pain relief hero - OMG I am so ! My cousins wife just gave birth yesterday - in hospital at 10pm baby out at 1am no pain relief no G&A nothing!! Home by 5am and he weighed in at 10lbs2oz so another biggie - I am geting abit scared of all these mega babies!!

Firsty - how are you doing? I bet the last week must seem so surreal Hopefully you and Ty are all settled in at home now and all is good and you are both well. I cannot belive how brave you were too

Iampg - hope your headache is better hon.

MrsMc - thinking of you and angel Ava

Well I am feeling a bit blue today - just feel really unpregnant if that makes any sense?? Bump size has stalled , I cant feel anything and just keep imagining the worst - I know that sounds awful but everyone keeps asking me how I feel and if I am suffering and I am not at all - which is amazing but also makes me highly suspicious (can't win with me!) It has been 2 weeks since I heard the HB and another 2 weeks till mw appt and then 4 weeks till scan - seems ages and I just so want to be excited and happy but am scared I am never going to allow myself to feel like that IYKWIM?
Unfortunately we have had a disproportionate amount of friends have problems in RL and I just cant get all of their experiences out of mind - every few weeks I am thinking "Oh that happened to X at this point in the pg" irrational I know but I just cant seem to get past it and believe that I can be normal and straightforward IYSWIM?
I soooo want to get on with planning everything but am scared. Also this would all be OK if I could direct my thoughts elsewhere to something productive but I seem incapable of that also - grrrrr!! So just wallowing really!

OK so maybe I do have pg symptoms - irrational hormonal thoughts and fears!
Sorry to be a downer today - thanks for listening everyone!

Back later with a sunnier disposition I hope!

seaside72 · 08/08/2007 09:59

xposts Babymad - how about Babymadmummy?

MrsMcJnr · 08/08/2007 11:57

Morning Ladies just been to the dentist, nothing wrong but I think the scaling gave me another headache bit plagued by them at the mo. Mind you, the stress at work isn?t helping, my assistant serving her notice is being a nightmare and I am trying to convince my superiors to put her on garden leave but they are too tight

Kitkat ? sorry I crossed with you yesterday how are you and little Joe? sorry, can?t help with your question.

Hello Bodders Hello Honeyapple

Firsty still grinning for you hon! Hope you are feeling very clever and proud! makes you think about what to buy doesn?t it? Maybe I?ll borrow a couple of newborn outfits from my sis and by 0-3 ? if I do that, I?ll get a 5 pounder probably! Ty that?s lovely, really usual! Where did you find that? Thanks for the strength for Ava?s DD

Looking forward to those details Babymad are you going to be Nappymad? Or my personal favourite ? Buggymad let?s face it, you?ve got about 10 of them

Hello Rainbowdays isn?t it funny that we?ve got 2 boys and 2 girls on here so far and Fettle?s is blue and Greedy?s is pink so that?s another pair glad to hear that things are looking up great news about the scan don?t worry, none of us will leave this thread, we like it too much

Hey Fettle ? race between you and Greedy

Iampg ? hope the head?s better today

Seaside my sis had no pain relief with either son, she said she was worried it would make her ill or distract her so she just tried to carry on without and made it! Her boys were both 8 pounders. Congratulations to your cousin & wife Sorry to hear you are feeling blue it?s a funny stage, we can?t feel anything from the baby, it?s ages between scans and we are feeling better than before which worries us! I know exactly how you feel. The fact that you are feeling blue is the hormones though and when I read my weekly updates from Baby Centre and they say stuffy nose ? tick, more visible veins ? tick, more CM ? tick ? it does make me feel like things are still on track I like to tell myself that things rarely go wrong at this stage and when they do, you?d know more about it than an early MMC ? hope that?s true hear to talk anytime, we are only a few days apart with our EDDs thanks for your sentiments for Ava x
