@Prequelle haha that sounds amazing!

MindyMoonstone · 23/03/2019 19:37

Avf88 I hope that he comes round to being excited with you!
My OH has anxiety so he is naturally nervous maybe more nervous than I am at this early stage, but he is sooo excited it’s adorable. Very supportive and got quite protective about crossing roads, making sure I get home safe etc 😂

Checking back in as I've been quiet for a few days. Mixture of being busy at work and super sick!!

Had to tell one of my bosses on Friday because I felt so terrible. Can't remember when the sickness finished with #1!

ally62442 · 23/03/2019 21:34

Just wanted to write on the new thread so that it's in my list. I remember with my first pregnancy I joined and thread but didn't stick with it. An I always would wonder how those ladies pregnancies went. So I'm determined to stick to this one no matter how busy life gets.

PrayingandHoping · 23/03/2019 21:39

Checking into the new thread with sharing my 7 week scan from Thursday 😁

Having another scan at 10 weeks before going over to nhs for the normal 12 week.

@Mintypea5 so glad you're both better today. Flowers
Gosh, you're a superwoman being able to host lots of 7 year olds! Well done you! Halo

Littleseed · 23/03/2019 22:36

That's lovely @PrayingandHoping! Flowers

Hayley89 · 23/03/2019 23:39

Evening lovelies! Hope you're all doing well! I'm just posting to join this new thread but will catch up on the messages later. Currently away with family but told my parents this weekend. Their reactions were absolutely beautiful and it's made it feel so real. As has the awful nausea that hit at dinner time tonight. I've been using those seasick bands, I'm not sure if it's psychological but I definitely notice a difference when I wear them!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend Thanks

Mintypea5 · 24/03/2019 02:11

Does anyone else find themselves feeling really ill at night? I've noticed that I often wake up feeling really ill like sick but I'm not actually throwing up or just feeling awful.

PrayingandHoping · 24/03/2019 07:20

@Mintypea5 I have nausea 24hrs now.... at night I'll wake up and feel ok until I get up for a wee and then it's horrific and I can't sleep. I have found propping myself up on pillows and not laying flat helps and when I get up trying not to stand upright. Oh and not eating after 6.30pm

Aph413 · 24/03/2019 08:14

@Mintypea5 I've found the minute I get in bed I start feeling naseous, not enough to throw up though.
I'm also starting to get the feeling all this waking every 2 hours and not being able to get back to sleep past 5am is my body preparing itself for after the baby is born.

There's a pack of Pringles in the bedroom for this reason @Mintypea5

Feel like utter shite. Painfully gassy plus nausea. Would quite happily be knocked unconscious from now until 2tr..

FirstTimeMama91 · 24/03/2019 08:47

@Preggosaurus9 god help ya! How far along are you? I'm only 5+3 symptoms aren't bad at the minute

TrashKitten10 · 24/03/2019 08:57

@Hayley89 Your parents reaction sounds wonderful :)

@Mintypea5 My nausea is pretty much all day but definitely seems worse in the morning and at night. Like @Preggosaurus9 I have snacks on my bedside table which seem to help a bit. It's quite miserable though.

WombatStewForTea · 24/03/2019 09:22

When did you start to feel that nausea?
Mine hasn't hit yet and I'm really dreading it! I've not thrown up (apart from after a very very rare heavy session) in well over 10 years and I hate feeling sick!

Aph413 · 24/03/2019 09:37

@WombatStewForTea I was feeling nauseous before my positive test! Now 5+2 although mine is more of a sick taste in the back of my throat, every now and then a strong smell will make me wretch. I'm hoping this is all I have to put up with but I doubt it.

Morning ladies,

My cramps have always been on the left side but today they've turned into quite sharp pains, left side only. That and strange bowel movements have me worried about chance of ectopic. Maybe I'm putting 2 and 2 together and getting 20??

Anyway, I've booked in for a private scan on Tuesday to put my mind at rest but I'll only be 6+1 by my calculations. Anyone else had a scan this early?

JoJoSaysHello · 24/03/2019 09:44

Have scrolled back a bit & see @jacquesjacques was pre six weeks and saw a heartbeat! This gives me hope that I'll get what I need from the scan!

jacquesjacques · 24/03/2019 09:48

@JoJoSaysHello I did! I thought I was 6+1 but I ovulate day 17ish so I was only 5+4 but there was a nice clear heartbeat. If they don't see one they'll invite you back a week or two later to check so don't fret Smile

withsexypantsandasausagedog · 24/03/2019 10:02

@tigsyboo I do worry about the amount of weight I am going to put on if I keep eating as much as I am!! I keep telling myself the horrid feeling will go away eventually and then I will be able to eat normally again.. here's hoping!

Thanks for the tips @MindyMoonstone!

LittleAndOften · 24/03/2019 11:19

Hi everyone. Seems like we're all in the same boat nausea-wise. Today I'm trying small snacks instead of meals and will stop eating by 7pm. Hope it makes a difference! Does anyone else get instantaneously ravenous? One second I feel sick, the next second I have overwhelming hunger!

LittleAndOften · 24/03/2019 12:29

Oh yes and jelly. Jelly is so good!

0lapislazuli · 24/03/2019 12:44

I have nausea as well, which is odd as I never had it during my previous pregnancies. Had my birthday last week and couldn’t even eat my birthday cake! I get suddenly hungry as well but have to be careful to only eat a little bit or the sickness returns. It’s definitely worse in the morning though.

Avf88 · 24/03/2019 14:42

I’m either wanting to throw up (never actually sick which for me I think makes it worse) or my lower back and boobs ache. What a joyful time hey?!

I’m definitely finding it a bit easy to eat little and often. Plain crackers, toast, really bland stuff.

MindyMoonstone · 24/03/2019 17:39

@littleandoften I get the ravenous hunger too. Not hungry at all then BAM! I wanna eat everything in sight 😂
Then I get bloated and heartburn hahaha
