@cakeordeath89 no they can't take it away but they did anyway. I worked for a fairly powerful person who was used to just stamping his feet and getting his way. He likes me working for him when I was a single mum so he could have on about it and meet his diversity targets. Once I met my now DH and got pregnant with my DS2 he decided I was too much bother ...I think he expected I'd go quiet which I didn't. They offered me back my job after they realised the illegal position they'd put themselves in but I refused and asked for an equal posting just working for someone that isn't a prize prick.

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 21:21

@Mintypea5 Sounds awful! I'm glad you stood your ground, people like him will continue to do what they want until somebody actually does/says something. HR should have known better though. Here's hoping that the new guy you're meeting is less of a prick!

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 21:23

@FirstTimeMama91 I haven't noticed size difference but certainly only my left one is ever sore. So weird!

FirstTimeMama91 · 22/03/2019 21:34

@cakeordeath89 the joys lol! Happy to have all symptoms GrinStar

Bean1987 · 23/03/2019 00:21

Hey all nit posted in a few days-works been mega busy. Fab new thread...thanks Flowers

Fell asleep straight after work without brushing teeth or getting ready for bed. Have done this three times this week. Will probably be up half the night again now 😴

@WombatStewForTea Welcome and congratulations on your BFP! Exciting times ahead Flowers

@Mindymoonstone
How was the work do? This made me smile. I have a hen do this weekend and all I want to do is eat takeaways and sleep too!!!

Bean1987 · 23/03/2019 00:25

@FirstTimeMama91 Haha-yes my boobs seem larger too (whoop) Wow-amazing that yours are a whole cup bigger already! (Hope they even out too 😂)

They’re still very sore atm...Particularly when I take my bra off.

JoJoSaysHello · 23/03/2019 06:38

My boobs aren't any bigger & they haven't been sore at all... Is this normal / okay? (5w5d)

bumblingalonghappily · 23/03/2019 06:39

Thanks for making the new thread @Aph413 😊😊

TrashKitten10 · 23/03/2019 07:10

@OhMarnie ah bless them. I teach the littlies so I tend to get less concern from them and lots less tact. This week one poked my bloated belly and asked "There's a baby in there?" and another pointed to my big hormonal spot and said "What is THAT on your face?". Thanks kids Grin hope you managed to stay awake for your curry.

@Bean1987 Yes! I dread taking my bra off haha.

@JoJoSaysHello Everything I've read said that you can have loads of symptoms or none at all and neither indicates any problem :) it's so hard especially being on a thread like this and comparing yourself to everyone else and what they're experiencing though. FWIW I was worrying last weekend at 5+6 that I didn't feel many symptoms but things have really ramped up this week.

JoJoSaysHello · 23/03/2019 07:51

Thanks, @TrashKitten10. I'll be sorry I asked in a couple of weeks when sickness kicks in & my boobs are giving me hell Confused

Mintypea5 · 23/03/2019 07:54

@JoJoSaysHello if it helps I don't get any symptoms at all so it's not always bad news if you don't! It makes it easier to "feel" pregnant if you do but if you don't that's ok too

AcatcalledGary · 23/03/2019 08:36

@FirstTimeMama91
So glad someone else is the same, my right boob is always way more sore and harder than the left. Thought it was just me.

Yesterday evening and this morning I have been having short stabbing pains in my lower abdomen but right in the middle. Not to one side. There’s no bleeding but do you think I should be concerned? I’ve not had this before though I did have cramping in first 3-4 weeks which were more like period cramps but again no bleeding or spotting .

Lozzlepop · 23/03/2019 08:55

Anyone else finding sleeping a nightmare? I’m tired and fall asleep fine but if I wake up it’s taking ages to fall back to sleep! Woke up starving at 3am 😂😂

Mintypea5 · 23/03/2019 08:59

I'm constantly knackered but as soon as I get into bed wide awake!

@AcatcalledGary how many weeks are you? Of you've got no bleeding and the pain isn't really bad maybe just take it easy for a bit and rest up. If it gets worse give midwife (if you've got one already) a call or 111 for some advise. More than likely it's just your body expanding and getting ready but always worth getting checked if you're worried

AcatcalledGary · 23/03/2019 09:08

@MintyPea5 I’m 6+2 currently. Thanks for the advice, I was going to do my workout this morning but will give it a miss.

Lozzlepop · 23/03/2019 09:15

@MintyPea5 I woke up a good few times last night but now that I am actually up I feel like I need a nap 😂🙈 I hope you get everything sorted with your job, your old boss sounds like a prize dick!!

withsexypantsandasausagedog · 23/03/2019 09:15

Hi everyone, can I join? I have been lurking for a while!

I am (I think!) due 6th November with baby#1 age 30

I have been really worried about getting morning sickness as I don't cope at all with feeling sick (being sick is fine, though unpleasant, but tends to be over quickly!) I have felt a bit yuck so far.. my stomach seems to be soo acidic and so feels a bit like a gnawing hunger which make me feel sick if I don't eat. I wondered if anyone else had experience of this? The mornings are the worst due to an empty stomach. I am drinking a lot more milk than I used to, which seems to settle it a bit.

I feel bad moaning as everywhere I read tells you it gets worse as you approach the 9 week mark, so dreading that really!

Yeoooooooo · 23/03/2019 09:15

God almighty my insomnia continues. Up every morning at 5am and can’t get back to sleep

Mintypea5 · 23/03/2019 09:18

@withsexypantsandasausagedog welcome! Not this time but a previous pregnancy I had similar! I am finding now tho that I get really hungry around 5/6 and it makes me feel sick but not like I'm going to throw up kinda like I'm in pain

withsexypantsandasausagedog · 23/03/2019 09:20

thanks @Mintypea5!

Do you have any tips on how to deal with it? Did it get worse from 7 weeks onward? (I know every pregnancy is different but probably struggling a bit with the unknown!)

Knickersononeshead · 23/03/2019 09:24

Just commenting so new thread is in my list.

Will try catch up

tigsyboo · 23/03/2019 09:27

@withsexypantsandasausagedog I'm glad it's not just me.
I don't feel generally nauseous, but I go from fine to starving in 3 seconds and then start to feel sick.... so I eat.... then I feel bloated and too full!!
I'm so much more hungry than normal and can not ignore it like you usually can, I'm eating so much more already. I've already put on 6lb and I'm only 8 weeks!!

Prequelle · 23/03/2019 09:28

Just sent DP to ASDA with a shopping list that was as follows

Fudge
Sour sweets and/or skittles
Wonky chomps
Dog Food
Butter
A cheap Cadbury Easter egg
Crisps for later (some for u, them jalapeno ones for me)

Yeoooooooo · 23/03/2019 09:40

@prequelle I’m craving sour sweets too! I bought a packet last night and they were amazing. All I want to eat are sour sweets, salt and vinegar crisps and cereal 🤷🏼‍♀️

Prequelle · 23/03/2019 09:44

I love how because of mumsnets new acronym thing, it looks like you want to eat a speech and language therapist Grin
