@LetsDoThisAgain Welcome, hope you're scan goes ok!

Is anyone finding that they are struggling to find a comfortable position when sleeping? My boobs are still so sore so side and front are proving difficult.

Babybloom · 13/04/2019 11:22

Unfortunately, this won't end up well for us. We've had the scan, one sac seems to be very slow in progress, the other is bigger and even grew since yesterday but it's still empty and no yolk sac either. The sono lady was much better and more thorough, she said although everything is looking well, the sacs are empty and therefore it is most likely to be a blighted ovum. Although she can't rule it out completely that I maybe too early, so they will probably do another scan. I'm heart broken and devastated! My hormones are progressing and so is the sac but I think I have a very slight chance the fetal pole my pop up.

Pollypocket5 · 13/04/2019 11:50

@Babybloom I am so sorry, it must be so hard going through this especially with your hormones increasing. Fingers absolutely crossed for you that something pops up.

Have they said when they will do another scan?

Babybloom · 13/04/2019 11:54

@Pollypocket5 it's going to be on the 23rd April, which is funny as we've had a private scan booked for the same day. It sounds very sentimental but as we were sitting and waiting after the scan our first dance song came on the radio which is very rare and the sky cleared up and the sun beamed through the window - I wasn't sure if to take it as a sign for some hope?! 🙈

JoJoSaysHello · 13/04/2019 12:00

@Babybloom I'm glad you had a better experience today, sounds like you got some good information even if there are still unanswered questions. I can imagine it's going to be a long ten days for you waiting for the next scan. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you as it sounds like there is still a bit of hope that this could end well!

Babybloom · 13/04/2019 12:39

@JoJoSaysHello thank you ❤️🙏🏼

Sessy19 · 13/04/2019 12:46

@Babybloom so sorry to hear this. I have to admit when I read that you’d been told that your hormone levels were at the top end of what you’d expect at those dates, I was a bit surprised. That wouldn’t seem particularly high for 5w let alone 7. Especially for a twin pregnancy. Although everyone is different of course.

I really hope that everything works out for you, bless you. 💐💐

Babybloom · 13/04/2019 12:49

@Sessy19 I guess everyone is very different. According to guidelines it can range from 20K to 200K. I'd rather go by what my doctor says!

Sessy19 · 13/04/2019 13:53

Fair enough, sorry I’ve offended you 😔
Good luck

MarnieN1 · 13/04/2019 15:52

Hiya ladies! Please may I join too? Had my reassurance/viability scan today and confirmed a tiny little heartbeat and due date of 30th November 😀

LetsDoThisAgain · 13/04/2019 16:13

Had my scan, turns out I'm only 6 weeks pregnant! Shock

So I must have ovulated Really late and around the time of the first missed period... 🤔 Looks like we need to pop off to the December thread. Smile

Babybloom · 13/04/2019 16:58

@Sessy19 no no! It's just very sensitive now as you can imagine! In such situation you hang on to the tiniest amount of hope Wink

Mintypea5 · 13/04/2019 17:46

@Babybloom everything crossed for your next scan lovely Thanks

Today has been horrible cooked my DH lunch and the smell was rancid to me the whole house now smells like it (although no one else can smell it) and it's driving me insane

Also just burst into tears because I ask DH for specific Crisps (one of the only foods I like) and he said there weren't any

Pollypocket5 · 13/04/2019 18:39

@Mintypea5 I feel you on the crisps. I absolutely love crisps and would do that even if I wasn't pregnant.

I've had a really bad day where I've felt wiped out all day. Haven't had any energy to do anything. Please can someone tell me it's acceptable to not get dressed and lay on the sofa all day?

Mintypea5 · 13/04/2019 18:43

@Pollypocket5 that's pretty much been me all day! When the baby was having his nap I went back to bed for 2 hrs! Fully intend to do the same tomorrow

I've caught back my cough and cold from DH ffs I feel like death! Got flu like shakes and my face hurts from sinus blockage Angry major silk on tonight

Pollypocket5 · 13/04/2019 18:52

@Mintypea5 I salute you for going through all this with a baby too! I'm hoping I get some energy soon as the house work needs doing!

Definitely counting down the hours until bedtime!!

Preggosaurus9 · 13/04/2019 19:30

Checking in! Vent alert! Now feel like total dog shit. Sick and bloated with horrible gas. Feeling generally exhausted and achy. Had a little cry about not being able to play with my 2 yo today Sad he doesn't understand, just misses his mummy. Have told him mummy's feeling poorly and he came to pat me on the shoulder and asked if I was ok.. broke my heart. Just staying in bed and dozing / eating Confused yuck.

Colleen437 · 14/04/2019 08:11

10 weeks today! Unless you go off my scan I had at 7 weeks that made me a week behind but I like to go off my dates lol

L0ULEW · 14/04/2019 09:11

I feel naughty now all pretty much had a week of no horrible symptoms - genuinely putting this down to Actimel!! It's the best.
According to my early scan I'm 9+1 today so feels early for me to be feeling better but ladies there is light at the end of the tunnel and I hope you all start feeling a million times better soon :)

@Babybloom stay positive chick. If there is still a chance hold onto it with everything you can :) you never know and it could be there just too small to see yet. Fingers and toes crossed for you x

Pollypocket5 · 14/04/2019 09:46

@L0ULEW I'm hoping your right. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and had a horrible day yesterday. I've woken up today though trying to be positive. I will feel better!!

L0ULEW · 14/04/2019 10:08

@Pollypocket5 Ahh bad days suck. Sure it will get better soon. Have you tried actimel? Honestly cannot recommend it enough 😂 I'm genuinely like a brand rep for them atm x

tigsyboo · 14/04/2019 11:55

I'm glad actimel is working for everyone!!!
I honestly feel great too xx
12 week scan on Tuesday - keeping everything crossed xxx

Pollypocket5 · 14/04/2019 12:04

Ladies, can I have a bit of reassurance please. I've just gone to the toilet and I've had a bit of brown discharge only when I wipe. Is this normal at 9 weeks?

Mintypea5 · 14/04/2019 12:10

@Pollypocket5 it could be nothing and can be completely normal but try rest up and keep an eye on it. If you're worried give your midwife / local epu a call. Some aren't open on weekends so you can always give them a call tomorrow.

Colleen437 · 14/04/2019 12:39

@Pollypocket5 I wouldn't worry to much if it's brown usually means it's just old blood. Just keep and eye on it. If it's only a full spots it can be completely normal.
