@LittleAndOften @tigsyboo thanks for the recommendations - think I might take myself shopping this weekend!!

Lozzlepop · 11/04/2019 09:43

@RainhamRosie round 2 of having it last night wasn't as bad just reheating it! I am funny with bananas at the best of times so not sure how they would go down right now 🤨

@Mintypea5 not cheese 😭I'd better not go off chicken and fish as its pretty much all I eat lol!

@JoJoSaysHello I have heard that ASOS maternity section is good, I am in leggings today - loving life 😂just need to dig out all my long tops that hide the bloat, I look about 4 months gone today 🙈

Colleen437 · 11/04/2019 16:21

Hi all I have my first midwifes appointment tomorrow, was just wondering what to expect? If anyone's had there's yet

Lozzlepop · 11/04/2019 17:11

@Colleen437 mine is tomorrow too! I have heard that some people’s are up to 3 hours long! I hope not as I’ll be starving by then 😂😂

L0ULEW · 11/04/2019 17:21

So after freaking out all of yesterday as all of my pregnancy symptoms had disappeared I booked a early scan today. Was a few days out on my dates but delighted to see its little heart beating away 💓

@Colleen437 had mine a week ago was an hour long and they took blood, measured height, weight, BP etc. Asked lots of questions about me and family history and partner. Talked a bit about what to expect and that's it really. Wasn't particularly exciting, didn't take my partner with me as though he'd be bored. 😂

Colleen437 · 11/04/2019 17:27

aww glad to hear you heard the heartbeat how far on are you? I had an early scan at 7 weeks due to bleeding I was a few dates out to.

Mines at 10:30am so not to bad, I've only just decided to fill the book out (felt like I was jinxing it if I filled it out early) I'm going by myself.

I have a lot of questions due to having a septum ulterus but it's just nerves think it's hit me I'm actually pregnant lol

Pollypocket5 · 11/04/2019 17:28

@L0ULEW Amazing news! How far gone did they put you? It's just the most amazing thing isn't it seeing that little blob.

L0ULEW · 11/04/2019 17:45

@Colleen437 according to my first day of last period I should have been 9+3 but they measured me as 8+5. Hahaha yes it hit me today that I have a small human alien growing inside me - really odd when you over think it 😂

@Pollypocket5 they put me at 8+5 but said at this stage it's very hard to get an accurate reading, so will go with what ever they say in my dating scan. Ah I know, here's my little jellybean ❤️

I feel sick every time I eat, I have sore boobs and the fatigue but don't think it hits you your pregnant until you start going to the midwifes. I'll be 9+5 tomorrow.

Everyone who's had early scans have said if your dates done match up not to worry as it's to early to be accurate and the baby will catch up.

Pollypocket5 · 11/04/2019 17:52

@L0ULEW Yes they put me 10 days behind when I went at 7 weeks! Aww that's so amazing. I really want another early scan don't think I can wait till the 7th May for my 12 weeks one!

L0ULEW · 11/04/2019 18:00

@Colleen437 I was like that till literally 2 days ago and now nothing been drinking actimel the last 4 days and it seems to be working wonders, no sickness, bloating or feeling hungry. But must admit, worked too well - hence the freak out and booking of early scan 😂

@Pollypocket5 I think I'd have one every day if I could. Such anxiety! Mine is booked in for the 2nd May eek - hopefully look less like a jellybaby and more like a human one!

Colleen437 · 11/04/2019 18:14

@Pollypocket5 I'm in the same boat this out me 7 days behind. I've not even got my 12 weeks scan date yet. I'm 10 weeks on Sunday and only just got my book in in appointment tomorrow. The wait is nerve racking

Pollypocket5 · 11/04/2019 18:20

@Colleen437 it's so nerve wrecking isn't it. I booked my early scan to reassure me but it made me so anxious being 10 days behind.

I would definitely get onto your doctors unless your midwife will book your scan tomorrow. I have my booking in app next Wednesday. I feel like I'm going to go to that and just cry and let out all my fears.

JoJoSaysHello · 11/04/2019 18:45

@L0ULEW I would have a daily scan too if I could! I think once baby is moving it will be okay as there will be reassurance that way.

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow as well. Hoping I'll be able to book my 12 week scan then as I haven't heard anything yet. And I have so many questions!!

L0ULEW · 11/04/2019 20:24

@JoJoSaysHello I'm very excited to feel kicks and elbows but feels like forever away at the moment. Hope tomorrow goes well and you get answers to all of your questions

AcatcalledGary · 12/04/2019 06:08

Hi all, sorry I’ve been quite quiet but have been trying to keep up with everyone. Quite a few people both here and the FB group saying they’ve lost symptoms which I can definitely relate to. I’m not getting any sickness now and it feels weird. I even POAS just now because I was worried! Of course it said bif fat Preggo and 3+ weeks 😂

TrashKitten10 · 12/04/2019 07:01

@AcatcalledGary Oh that's funny a few people have found their symptoms disappearing. I had been having terrible nausea but have felt SO much better this week. Which has been lovely as I was reaching the end of my tether with feeling and being sick all day but it is a bit nerve wracking. My boobs still feel like two sandbags strapped to my chest so I'll take that as a good sign ☺️

@Lozzlepop 3 hours!! I think mine only lasted about an hour, including me having a nightmare trying to wee into the pot. Grin Unless you have an absolutely huge list of medical issues, I can't see how it would take that long. Hope you and @Colleen437 and @JoJoSaysHello get on okay with your booking in appointments today :)

@L0ULEW So lovely to see the heartbeat. Hopefully that will reassure you now :) I'm in the same boat with disappearing symptoms so know how you feel.

10+3 today. I had my booking appointment on Tuesday and she said I should hear in the next few weeks about my scan. They went by my LMP which puts me at 10+6 so surely it won't be too long to hear? I'm really worried they won't be able to see me in time and then won't be able to do the combined screening we've opted for. I know that has to be done by 13+6 at the absolute latest which only gives me around three weeks. Then I'm annoyed at myself for not getting my booking in appointment earlier but the first receptionist at the doctors told me not to ring to book that until 8 weeks. When I ignored that and rang again there was a wait for a midwife appointment. Grr. I'm sure it will all work out okay, it's just getting me panicked not knowing.

L0ULEW · 12/04/2019 07:27

@TrashKitten10 don't panic think you midwife would be on it straight away you'll probs get your letter nexy week with your apt in for the week after I would have thought. They know your dates so be working to see you at 12 weeks :D

Sessy19 · 12/04/2019 07:43

It’s different in every trust of course, but I got my scan letter about 2w after my booking appt (and my midwife and hospital are in different trusts, nightmare!) and my 12w scan is booked for 13w6!! I’m trying to be ok about how late it is 😂 but I’ve booked a private early scan for Monday when I’ll be 10w5....only because I’m so anxious after a big bleed then some spotting and stuff.
I have blood test results today...for hCG...which is what the GP offered me after the bleeding. Im going on my own as hubs is working so 🤞

Colleen437 · 12/04/2019 07:54

@Sessy19 did u not have a scan at the epu when u had a bleed? I'm sure everything is fine

Sessy19 · 12/04/2019 08:09

Oh yes, no I did have a scan after the first bleed. But had two weeks of bleeding after that and, although a second scan would have been awesome, I knew that wasn’t an option in this trust. I wanted verbal reassurance from medical professionals, and the best they could muster was ‘we see this all the time....sometimes it’s a good outcome, sometimes it’s not. But there’s nothing we can do at this stage, regardless’. Which is actually completely fair enough, it’s true. Just not what I was looking for...!! 😂😂😂

Colleen437 · 12/04/2019 08:22

Ye when I went they was like you will have to wait 2 weeks to see if you keep bleeding and if it's a viable pregnancy. Well thank you that didn't stress me out for 2 weeks lol

I'm having a thick moment with this pregnancy book (don't judge lol) does the 2nd assessment mean the dad or the next visit?

Due November 2019 Thread 3
Sessy19 · 12/04/2019 09:00

It means the next visit, if you have one

Lozzlepop · 12/04/2019 09:19

@L0ULEW that must have been so amazing to see, what a lovely little bean ☺️

@AcatcalledGary its so disconcerting when your symptoms start to disappear I actually wake up praying to feel a little sick as it gives me comfort that I am not imagining things 😂

@TrashKitten10 yeah I don't have any medical issues that I am aware of, the OHs dad has a few though so he's coming with me to answer them all if needed. Oh god is there peeing in a pot too 😂hope its a wide pot lol! Having a lol thinking back to some of stories of people peeing in different receptacles in the TTC thread!

@Colleen437 what is a pregnancy book? Do you get this from your midwife?

OhMarnie · 12/04/2019 09:33

I had my "12 week scan" today! I knew when I had my first midwife appointment that I wasn't as far on as my LMP dates suggested because I was having long cycles, but she booked me in anyway and said if it's too early to do the nuchal fold test they'll just bring me back. Was still so nice to see baby again though! Measuring at 9+4 which is spot on with our private scan we had last Thursday which put us at 8+3. Back in 3 weeks today for the proper 12 week scan where they can do the tests. Was nice to get a little freebie scan though!

@Lozzlepop I found the peeing in a pot extremely difficult 😂 the sample pot is so narrow! but then at the end of the appointment she gave me a cup and a syringe thing for next time - you pee in the cup first which is a lot wider, then you syringe out the wee and pop it in the proper sample pot. Could have done with that beforehand!!
