Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

@FairyDust92 the good days are continuing (thank god)! I don't know if just speaking to the HV just reassured me or what but even when she's been a little upset after a feed I don't let it bother/worry me as much! The HV did say a good point, formulas are basically like choosing whether your giving your child a cheese or ham sandwich it doesn't matter which one you choose and they all do the same job! (I think she meant as long as they are fed it's ok lol)!

That's a good point about the tongue tie, il ask on Monday when Evie has her jabs. I know the nurse who's doing it so she hopefully could advise.

Sometimes you just need that moral support ☺️ don't know about my partner as well have DD1 as well. However she's proper nosey and would prob like to see what's going on. Glad it didn't affect him during the night tho ☺️ that's always a bonus! Aw that sounds horrific, you can't even explain to them why we're doing it . Do you have to give them the 2 doses after? I know you do the one, is the rest if they need it?

Last night wasn't to bad .. woke at 3 but then up and down a bit from then, like her sister she gets tummy problems the later part of the night after she's had a big feed!

Tonight tho she had an earlier before bed feed and so she woke around 1.30. Currently snuggled in asleep on me. Do cherish these night time cuddles 😊 how's milo been today x

@Squeakybubbles26 That's so good to hear your days are getting better! Maybe that's all you needed though was the reassurance to put your mind at ease. Haha agree as long as they're being fed we're all good! My HV said the same basically as I was worried about giving him instant for 4 days whilst away. She said you can give them instant for the whole 6 months if you wanted to. As I'm staying in a room only as we have a dining plan the only available tap is in the bathroom and I didn't want to give him that! So I am going to take a bottle of tap water to put in the fridge with me then just ask bar staff for a jug of water to fill the kettle for his bottles again. I don't really want to feed him instant for 4 days 🙈.

Yeah definitely ask about the tongue tie as previously mentioned it does effect their articulation.

Oh of course! Yeah so I gave him one 2.5ml after his jabs to reduce the risk of fever from menb jab. Luckily he never got a fever. But because he had tummy cramps 4hrs after I gave him another 2.5ml but because he didn't need any after that I didn't give him any. I didn't want to dose him as he was very sleepy on the calpol.

Tummy problems are the worst! You know yourself even when you have trapped wind it's so painful.

Milo woke at 5 for a feed and currently snuggled back up in is crib. Ah the night cuddles are the best 😍. Well and cuddle is but you know 😂.
He is doing good thank you had a lot of smiles yesterday which we like. He's back to his normal little happy self!

Does Evie press against your face? Milo does and if I move him he does it again but because I've dared to move him he then puts his face over my nose and mouth with little me having little room to breathe 😂!

@FairyDust92 I think we just worry as we want them to have the best, or the best for them sort of thing. Sometimes you just need to be told what your doing is ok (and I'm sure she says the same to other parents but hearing it's yourself makes you feel your doing a good job)! I think Evie prefers instant 🙄 I like the convenience - just which they were a lot cheaper! Well use them whilst traveling down and possibly on a couple of trips out and about saves making up a feed on the go. That's a good idea about the tap water - I can't remember what we done when DD1 was little and we stayed in premier inns etc 🤦🏼‍♀️

That's good to know about the calpol (it all comes flooding back again lol) I remember why they advise us to have the jabs in the morning now! Ours isn't til 3ish 🙄

I know poor things with their windy issues, and especially as they are still developing!

Fair play that's a good sleep, I can't wait for those days hahaha!! If she didn't struggle with her tummy after it wouldn't be so bad! Glad milo is all back to himself too!

@Squeakybubbles26 of course it's always nice to hear you're doing s good job ☺️. Oh tell me about it the instant are so expensive! I had to give Milo one the other day and he was like erm this is room temp.. you know I like my bottles hot 😂. He did drink it but not a lot! Yeah I'm thinking tap water in the fridge should be fine. I mean I have to travel with it in the booth for 3 hours but I'll borrow ice blocks off someone. Don't really want to buy them just for that.

Oh really, that's a late one. I was going to try and get an afternoon one as my partner has a new job so finished between 3-4 if not I'll ask my mum to come out of work. I really can't do it. It's bloody awful. When he gets to school she and he has to have them my partner can take him in then I'll be waiting outside and he can dislike my partner for 5 minutes 🙄😂.
I gave it to him when he was crying so almost instantly he did spit some out and he spat some out on the 4hrs but most of it went down thankfully. I think he might have liked the different taste other than milk in all honestly haha.

I bet when Evie's tummy has sorted out she'll be out like a light bless her.
Thanks I'm glad he's back to his normal kicking self to. Does Evie kick? Milo always kicks me when I'm changing his bum or playing with him I love it. He thinks it's a little game because of how I react and is full of smiles. He done another little chuckle today. It wasn't a full on chuckle but he was trying to laugh 😂.

He definitely is a character and he will definitely be a cheeky 🐵. Isn't it funny how they develop little traits already! He has the cutest little hamster cheeks! He stores milk too 🙄.
He has stated to splash in the bath and I love it. He loves it also, I think he more likes getting me soaked tbh.

Is there anything that Evie does that you do?
Milo makes funny little noises in his sleep and 4 people have said on different occasions that he takes after me 🙈. Especially when he stretches my partner mentions he arches his back out like me and when he stretches a leg shakes.

@FairyDust92 I'm glad we've stayed on a formula that does instant mind, they are quite handy when I can't be bothered to faf about! 😂 Evie's the same, I think I've spoiled her given her hot milk anything room temp and below I get the look but thankfully she'll drink it! Have you got a flask could you put boiling water in a flask to make up a couple of bottles when you get there and then top up when tap water as soon as you can?

That's nice hours for your partner to finish, I'd love to have my husband home more. (He does shifts so we seem him in the mornings one week and the afternoon/evenings the next) i prefer him to work the early shift so I have an extra pair of hands at bedtime lol! It's the guilt trip of having the jabs on us! We know it's for a good cause but that little cry! 😪 it's the people that don't vaccinate them that annoys me 😡!
Least he took the majority of the calpol, it's sticky stuff mind when it comes back up! lol!

I can't wait for her tummy to settle, I want a happy baby! (Don't get me wrong we've turned a corner for sure tho)! Either that or I need ear plugs haha! Err she kicks a little when lying on her mat or in her bed but nothing majorly I haven't noticed! Ah it's like he understands what he's doing already! Aw he's laughing already, that's so cute! They are def becoming more aware and engaging - it's so lush! We're finally getting a lot more smiles ☺️ and she adores her big sister! It's so lush to watch Evie follow DD1 around!

I've had a wow moment the other day, Evie has always been quite strong and determined and got very good head control etc. she was led on the mat on her tummy and I quickly popped into the kitchen and when I came back 10secs later she was on her back! I was like wow you shouldn't be doing that! But she's done it twice since, I don't think she realises she's doing it mind! Lol!

I love the way Milo stores milk. It's like I'm not quite hungry but I'll have this in a bit haha! Does he like end up dribbling it out or swallowing it? We haven't had any splashing in the bath yet, I get the old leg and arm being dunked over the side of her seat but that's it ha! I bet you come out more wet than Milo at times!

Haha, I bet your like ah that's cute but thanks for noticing my noises haha! Bless him. Err I don't think, she takes a lot more after her daddy! She looks more like him where as DD1 is more me. Who does milo look like?

Evie's been lovely today ☺️ more settled, smiling and napping well which is great! Only one real bad cry after a feed but I think she drank to much and had tummy issue! But loads better thank god! How about milo he had a good day?

@Squeakybubbles26 always hand to have a instant one in the changing bag. I always carry an instant feed and an empty bottle in my changing bag. Before we leave for holiday I will make bottles up at home so that cover me until the next day then the bottle of tap from home I can use the next day.

Oh I bet the extra pair of hands is really helpful in the evening 🙈. My partner used to work nights at a supermarket and I hated it and I didn't even have a child then lol! Yeah he's really fortunate with earlier finishes now even though his last job was 8-5:30 still wasn't bad.
Tell me about how sticky calpol is! Is little chin was so sticky!
I don't get how anyone couldn't vaccinate their child! I think it's outrageous and disgusting.

Wow! Well done Evie! That's a good strong girl! That's amazing she's done that already! Good luck trying to do tummy time I think she will be like nah I'm going on my back 😂.

He dribbles his milk out like 2 hours after! He's a little hamster 🐹

Oh cute! I'm not sure who he looks like tbh. When he was first born he was spitting image my partner when he was a baby but not more people say he looks like me. Some have even said he looks like my dad 🙄.

Do you have a routine yet that Evie has fallen into?
At the moment Milo will have a feed at 8:30 then at 11 might have an ounce then he wakes at around 5 for a feed then settles back down until 8-9. This will all change when he starts to teeth 🙈

@FairyDust92 that's a good idea to always carry an instant! I need a bigger bag 🤣 as I carry some bits for DD1 as well just incase! Ah your prepared fair play! Us mummies have to plan ahead for everything! I'm already thinking what I need to pack for me and the girls 🙈

It's horrible isn't it, just being on your own sort of thing! Mind you I do like to star fish in the bed!! Good old calpol!
I find it disgusting to, putting the vulnerable at risk! All because of something they saw on social media!!!

Yes she loves to keep an eye on her sister 😌 it's lovely to watch the bond already grow!

She's really strong! However She doesn't roll every time she goes for it but then gets stuck or frustrated! I don't think she realises what she's doing mind! Either that or she'll be crawling by 6 months lol!!

They change so much and quickly tho, it's funny how they look like one of you then a few days later the other! It's nice when you see bits of you in them tho like a smile or a face they pull!
Not that I see much of my traits in Evie yet :(

Err roughly she'll demand a feed anywhen between 7-8 then fall asleep and hopefully go to 3ish back down at 4ish and go to between 6-7! We may be up with the wind between 4-7 a couple times but she settles back down quickly.
If she doesn't take much feed st the 7-8 she may be up at 1ish and then 4 tho! Lol! So each night is a luck of the draw.

It's nice to be able to follow a routine tho! His teeth may not bother him and if it does it doesn't last forever ☺️ let's hope he doesn't take after his daddy with his teeth! x

@Squeakybubbles26 I already over pack my changing bag it's frustrates me but I'm always like no incase I need it I can't take it out! 😂 just brought some little swimmers as they were on offer in boots for £3 for holiday.

Yeah it's not nice especially when you need a little break 😂. I don't care if my partner is in the bed if I want to star fish. I must admit I am a bed hogger. I once woke him with my legs over my partner. Funny thing is he just accepts it. I'd be fuming if his legs were on me! Hypocritical I know 🙈.

I just don't understand how you can put your child at risk and many other children. I do think if going to school/nursery you should be allowed to know the kids who haven't had the vaccine tbh.

I think she'll definitely be crawling at 6 months. Especially if she sees her sister moving about haha!

Tell me about it. I keep a bib and muslin on the end of the bed through out the night.

That's good though she goes for stretches at time isn't it. Oh gosh I know my partner teethed at 3m has two bottom teeth at 5m and was crawling by 6m and walking by 12m 😂. My partners mum was like oh if he has teeth he can start having toast at 5m like DP did. I was like erm no it's not about teeth it's about the digestive system she was like 🙄.

Just had a tattoo done. Forgot how much they sting 😂

@FairyDust92 I worry if I take something out the bag il need it knowing me! That reminds me I need some swimming nappies!

A break ha what's that! I feel like me and my husband have one child each at the moment lol! My poor eldest she's such a mummies girl but knows I'm busy with Evie a lot, breaks my heart 😢! Lol, are you the boss ;)
If I hog the bed or even the duvet I know about it, the same if I'm snoring 🙈

Exactly even if you want to be selfish to other people fake enough but your own children .. why put them at risk! They'll happily believe what they see on social media! Grr! At least with nurseries if there was an outbreak of anything they update parents .. even chicken pox or hand foot and mouth! (Well at ours we do)

We're going to have a bit of a late one. Was nieces birthday. Too many people have held him and I will give h another bath to wash the people away 😂 honestly I'm a bit crazy and can't stand the thought of people on him I feel like he will get ill. Prepared to be told I'm crazy!

I just had Milo's name on my wrist ☺️ I have tattoos on my ankles like at the front going down to my foot. But I had them ages ago and forgot it stung. But I gave birth so a tattoo is a walk in the park! What would you get if you did her a tattoo?

Yeh 90% of the time DD1 is placid, chilled and good! The other 10% is like ahhh!

It's the other way round here I'm the chilled one and my partner thinks he's the boss! Well at some things I let him believe he is, or I just agree for a quiet life!

Funny how I'd happily joke about going back to work but I honestly don't want to 😫 well not yet lol! But your right they are all individuals and will do things at their own rate. ☺️ it's not a competition (which to many people think it is or a race)!

Exactly! People have frowned upon his protective I am of him and gone as far to call me a weirdo. My family are the ones that say 'it'll be fine' do you know that do you?! 🙄 It really pisses me off because I'm not asking you I'm bloody telling you this is what you'll do before you hold him. The one thing I've noticed about parent hood is everyone is quick enough to judge another parents choices and decisions. Mind you it's easy to find faults in other people but parenting is one of the hardest things - let you as parents do what you want to do I say! It's prob the people closest to you that will happily express their honesty. What do you encourage them to do before they hold Milo? When DD1 was born I had anti bac gel close by for people to use - I admit that didn't last long tho. I can't stand smokers (and to be honest don't really associate around many thank god) it stinks eugh! Walking down the street is bad enough when someone is doing it in front of you, i always think this isn't fair on the children :( does your nan understand your point? Will she agree to what you ask? Not that it's anything major your asking her to do, it's a newborns health we're talking about. Cor that's a bit harsh from your BIL even if he was trying to be funny!

I can type all this with a little smile 😊 as thankfully Evie slept til 3.30! Phew 😅

@Squeakybubbles26 ohh nice. I don't mind white wine or rose but can't have it on his own I'm not very sophisticated 😜.

I just encourage that they have washed hands don't kiss him etc. They can kiss his head on my say so they have to ask first and if I see some sort of spot near their mouth It's a no no! I know it isn't a cold sore but it's a no lol!

Omg I hate hate hate when I have to walk past smokers or it comes back and hits you in the bloody face! I'm always scared it's going to go on him! My BIL is ridiculous think they can get away with their immature comments. Nahhh 😂.

Oh well done Evie! Yes thank you he sleeps until 5-5:30 then went back down until 9. He's got himself in a little routine. Just thinking do I wake him now for a feed and change his bum or leave it! Decisions decisions 🤔.

He met his cousin today they are a week apart she's older but looks a lot smaller than Milo! 🙈😂

Had his pictures taken today. He was such a good boy and so smiley can't wait to see them he looked so scrummy! Best bit he didn't wee or poo over her props. Bonus!

@FairyDust92 do you like gin? I want to try all these new different flavours that people keep talking about pink gin etc. Never got into him myself but maybe now is the time m 😌

I don't agree with kissing newborns, especially near their mouths. It's how germs and illnesses spread and they are so vulnerable. Not so bad on the forehead but def not near the mouth!

That sounds a dream - a 9am lie in!! We sometimes get about half 7 maybe 8 if I give DD1 my phone 🙈 anything for sleep hey! Another good night on the go tonight, she had a bill fill at 6.30, then an oz about half 8 and slept til 3.30 ☺️ hopefully she doesn't have to much tummy trouble now.

We've noticed today Evie loves to be up close/squish her head up against things. What worries me I've seen her do it twice in her sleepyhead - not that close that she can't breathe but close enough that her face/nose are touching. So in a dilemma in what to do now. The material is breathable and she's able to still breathe and move her head away. Mummy worries 😪

Aw that's so cute. Was his cousin born smaller than him? I think Evie is growing a lot quicker than DD1 did, slow down baby!! I can't keep up with the clothes!!!

@Squeakybubbles26 I don't mind gin. Yeah all the new flavours that have came out do look nice! Coconut gin is meant to be really nice.

Milo is exactly the same in his purflow. I know he likes to be close to things cos he always goes into my neck/face. But on his purflow I wouldn't say the sides are breathable just the under mesh. I always move him back but he always wriggles back to it. He doesn't go with his nose right up against but close enough.

No lol his cousin was born at 8lb something 😂.

That's reassuring to know that milo does the same sort of thing when sleeping. It's so hard as you want to protect them but when it helps them (and us) sleep too it's like ah!

Oh wow, sometimes I guess they can look smaller but weigh more! Like adults really!

Jabs were as expected lots of tears 😪 she's been very tired since tho poor thing. Had the 2 doses of calpol, hopefully it won't affect her too much during the night! Even tho she's already grizzling now hmmm!

@Squeakybubbles26 yeah it's horrible when he moves himself that close and I'd rather stir him then leave him in that position. He just likes to be close he's currently having s cuddle stroking under my chin this seems to be a little comfort thing for him. He also likes to touch the top of my top or my boob a lot to settle him 😂. He also likes a blanket to the side of the face which I'm glad he only uses it to settle him as I'd never allow him to sleep like it. It's funny though because I have the duvet on the side of my face to sleep!

Oh bless. They're absolutely horrible! Did she let out an awful scream? I effing hated the scream Milo let out my heart broke! Milo had 2 doses of calpol and that seemed to do the trick but if he needed the 4 then I'd definitely would've given it to him! I couldn't take the plasters off for like 24hrs well I could but I didn't want to. When I took them off and saw his little blood on the plaster I filled up a little bit 😢.

We've had a good day thank you. Partner has started new job so nice he can pop in at lunch for 20 or so minutes then finish at 4. He only gets half hour lunch but he works round the corner now which is nice.
Apart from jabs how was your day?

@FairyDust92 thankfully what it seems when Evie's in a deep sleep she doesn't wriggle to much and when she starts to stir that stirs me. Otherwise I'd barely sleep keeping an eye! I've done the breath test to and the material of what ever degree does seem breathable! It must be like a feeling in the womb for them, being up close to something. It's cute tho! Aw he's taking after his Mumma. its nice when they build their own attachments and comforts means you don't have to force them to like it lol 😂

Oh yes she did, its awful. I had to hold myself together 😪 I know it's only for a minute or so but breaks your heart 😪! Then to go and put another 2 needles in poor thing. I did wonder you know the oral vaccine, what would happen if a baby was sick 🙄 thankfully evie wasn't so I don't have to worry about whether it worked or not but made me think. You were lucky to get plasters, Evie didn't get any and her sleep suit/all in one now has stains on 😩 vanish to the rescue! I think her legs are a bit tender tho when picking her up earlier she seemed uncomfortable as I touched them. Poor little dot! I don't want to do the next ones! However the night hasn't been our best, (understandable il let her off) waking and crying out more often, wanting cuddles etc. Thankfully she's just had a good feed tho and hopefully we can get another few hours sleep before DD1 wakes! Yesterday she woke at 4.45 😩🙈 I think she had a bad dream or something as she wasn't quite with it but wanted to get up. So being a good parent I let her go on my phone so I could go back to sleep 🙈! Win Win!

Ah that's good he's so close as well!! Does that mean you have to get his lunch ready now ;) my husband likes the fact he comes home to a cuppa and 9/10 some food as well when he finishes in the afternoon. Feel like a house wife, actually kinda like it ☺️ running a house, working and raising children feels never ending am glad to have this year off to enjoy it with the girls!
Well yesterday was a bit of a let down, was meant to be meeting a friend (she was being a bit flakey beforehand/felt like she was making excuses etc however she said to meet at a certain time so I went along with it). She was due at ours at 9.15 so rushed to get up and ready etc and had a text literally at 9.14 (no joke) to say her husband had got to work and realised he's actually got the day off so they are going to spend the day together! 😩🙈 thanks ..... DD1 was upset as she wanted to see her daughter and I was more pissed off grr! Let's say I won't be making any plans with her again in a hurry!

@Squeakybubbles26 yeah the sleep head pods are meant to be really good but I thought they were quite pricey so went for a purflow instead.

Awww bless her. It's hard to hold yourself together! I know I didn't realise he had to have 3 different jabs and 2 in each leg. I'm not sure what they'd do if the baby didn't take it. Milo gagged with it.

Urgh why do people do that! I can't stand it if you don't want to meet up just ask to change the day don't make up some stupid excuse and leave it until the last minute! I really dislike people that do that! One of my friends is always like it so I just don't bother anymore then all of a sudden I'll get a message 'why haven't you spoken to me in ages' as if I should start all conversation... 🙄

@FairyDust92 I've heard good reviews about the purflow as well (but only since having children pre children I wouldn't have a clue was a sleepyhead/purflow are)! We only went for the sleepyhead as SIL was using it for my niece and to be honest you can't put a price on sleeep lol!

Each jabs il dread more tho knowing she'll be slightly more older and aware. However because we're away she won't have her next jabs til she's 14 weeks! Yeh been one of those night poor thing, going to dose her up with some calpol this morning see if that can perk her up a little. It's only 4 doses in 24 hours isn't it? Thankfully that should work our fine even if she needs 2 doses today she can restart the 24hours this afternoon (hopefully she shouldn't need to)!

Exactly to be honest I couldn't be bothered with it on Sunday but as we arranged to meet Etc of course I'd stick to it (unless the girls were poorly or what ever)! So I followed it up. Just a lame excuse really! Not the end of the world not seeing her again to be honest! We have different views on a lot of things - why was I friends with her again! Lol 😆

I really need to get up and get ready 😩 hoping Evie will stay in bed another half hour so I can! 🙄
