@FairyDust92 cor that's a bit shocking about the Mothercare sleep bag, that's actually really dangerous! Did you have one?

Ah that's lovely! Is it a little beach? We're more close to open countryside, within driving distance of lakes tho which are nice. Lots of woodland areas too:)

No they doctor was pretty useless to be honest through the check she was holding Evie and Evie cried so the dr commented "this is why I'm no good with children" really reassuring! I also asked if Evie was tongue tied as she looked it, the dr said yes she is slightly and then just left the convo so I had to re ask ok what do we do then! 😂🙈 dappy women! I'm hoping it's just an age thing the new milk has helped with the gas/poo situation but now it makes her spit up her milk 🙈 can't win! One end or the other. But glad HV will be our next week (actually glad for a change!)
Aw your poor nephew there's nothing worse for an adult not being able to go but a baby or child :(

Yeh we still keep Evie down with us but I time going to bed around 9, as DD1 is up around 6ish. I need as much sleep as I can possibly get to function ahah! Well at least he latest til 5am, I think we think they need the feeds so they don't wake sooner but you can't force them can you! Babies 👶🏻 hah!

I usually have a little bit of water and pour over her but last night her sister wanted more so it covered her back more and her legs which I think she liked. Well until her sister got to excited and poured water over her head/face 🙈🙄

FairyDust92 · 30/08/2019 23:13

@Squeakybubbles26 yes very dangerous! 😳 no I have a Winnie the Pooh Asda one. He hasn't used it yet as he is in his swaddles still.

Not massive beach but also not small.
I bet the lakes are lovely!

Well your doctor sounds as helpful as a chocolate teapot! Did they say what they can do for tongue tie? The same nephew mentioned earlier he had tongue tie which they snipped.
Glad the milk is helping for her. Bless her if it isn't coming out one end it'll come out the other.
I noticed today Milo stores his milk in the sides of his cheeks like a hamster! I thought he was sick earlier but it was what he was storing in his cheeks! 🙈

Makes sense! You got to little ones to get up with so I'd be in bed by 6! Hahaha! I'd be a mess. I know! I try to top him up but he's like excuse me I'll wake you, you don't wake me woman! 😂😂

Haha! Does she like bath time?
It's all about compromising I suppose!
Don't worry about that I managed to get water in Milo's eyes and I'm a 27 year old woman... 🙈 he wasn't even fussed I just got a glare!

Busy day today spent it with mum and sister and nephews went shopping. Milo was good as gold! Wouldn't even known he was there lol!

Squeakybubbles26 · 31/08/2019 04:36

@FairyDust92 gro bags (or equivalent are a god send) It's like they the can feel safe and secure. Mind you the prices of real gro bags £££! Thankfully we've got all of DD1's just may have to invest in some different tog ones because of the slight difference in birth months!

I had to ask her what will happen with the tongue tie and she said if she's eating well they don't do nothing :/ def be bringing this up with the HV! Tongue tie seems quite a common thing, which is reassuring. Ha, saving some for later is he. That's clever to store it there, it would be leaking out my mouth 😂!

We're already being demanded around by them! Don't they understand if they even have an oz or 2 it will help them possibly sleep a little bit longer .. works better all around 😌 however pleased to say we didn't wake til 3.30 woooo!

Yeh she likes bath time, well for about 5 mins! Lol 😂 does milo still enjoy his?! He seems such a chilled out baby! ☺️

Aw, did you buy much? I love the newborn stage when they sleep or are content and you can just plod on with what ever ☺️
However ... unfortunately we're not as content as we used to be! Lol 😩 this new milk is def helping with the tummy issues (we actually napped in the rocker yesterday for a good 1hr plus 2 times)! I think there's an underlying issue whether it's reflux or colic (we cry after feeds - her not me, wind problem, not being sicky after feeds) there's def something bothering her but not sure what exactly! I know they'll grow out of it and it's not life threatening just hate seeing her like it. Hopefully the HV will help or give some advice! Until then mummy will worry and continue to search google for other reassuring posts haha!

FairyDust92 · 31/08/2019 06:55

@Squeakybubbles26 does your house get really hot? Mine gets like an ice box in winter if I haven't turnt the heating on! Tried to set up a timer but it didn't work so the landlords need to come and do it as we have nub now I'm not happy just to switch it on when I want to I want the house toastie for him!

I'm pretty sure an option is always to have it done as it can effect their speech!

I didn't even bother offering him a later feed I thought I'll see how it goes. He went from 8:15-5:30 now he's back asleep. Is it okay for him to go like 9 hours? Surely he would wake if he was hungry wouldn't he? I love the fact he's got himself in a little routine but worry he's maybe going to long.

Oh that's good! Yeah he loves his bath. He is a very chilled out baby I'm very lucky!

No not really I had to resist buying clothes for him he doesn't need them! 😂

So glad the new milk is working for Evie! 1-2hrs is very good! I bet it is colic bless her. Oh I doubt it's life threatening bit everything worries you doesn't it! definitely try to get a referral from HV! x

Squeakybubbles26 · 01/09/2019 01:51

@FairyDust92 we have low ceilings so in the summer it feels a lot hotter. Mind you I'm usually cold all the time but since having Evie I swear all I am is hot and sweaty (delightful)! I always find the winter comes round as a shock, and all of a sudden it's freezing cold again. Hopefully your landlord will sort the timer situation out for you, I remember even putting it on last year just to keep DD1 warm in the night and she's 2...will def have to keep it warm all around for Evie (and me hehe)!

That's true about the speech, will def run it past the HV.

That's amazing, he would wake if he was hungry. He's a healthy baby I wouldn't worry. And like wise if you were to wake him he prob wouldn't want it would he? Just fed Evie and she only took 1-2oz .. grr so I encouraged her to have some more so she decided to puke all over me 😩 delightful!

I won't bore you too much with it but in 2minds to go back to the old milk! I know there little tummies need to develop but on this milk she doesn't drink as much at feeds, she's still irritable and she pukes a lot more 😩😩😩😩 where as on aptamil she didn't puke! Ah I don't know!!!! 😔

FairyDust92 · 01/09/2019 07:46

@Squeakybubbles26 it's horrible when it's cold cos I'll be paranoid he will get ill! They can definitely come and sort it out! I'm not sitting back on this one.

Noticed Milo loves lights. Bet he will love my Christmas tree 😍😍! I'm Christmas mad!

Yeah I wasn't sure if he was going to long 😓 thank you for your reassurance. He went last night from 1:30 until 7:30. He woke at 12 for a feed but was all smiles so I couldn't not interact 😂. Oh no, poor Evie she really isn't having the best time is she. Oh no! It's the worse being puked on but worse in the middle of the night 🙈.

Maybe try and buy a bottle of the big instant formula of Apatmil you know you big bottles that last like 48hrs? So you don't waste your money on the formula if it doesn't work x

Squeakybubbles26 · 02/09/2019 01:31

@FairyDust92 the only positive to them feeling the cold is they should wake up as they aren't comfortable or feel cold to touch etc where as if it's to hot they can't control their temperature like us. Easier to layer them up. Hopefully your landlord will sort it soon before we need to start putting the heating on, that's scary to say! Mind you I do love autumn 🍂😊 how hot it is in your room at the moment? What does milo wear to bed? I always query this most nights...
Currently Evie is in a sleep suit and wrapped in a thin muslin type blanket around her lower half. It's 22.8 degrees.

I love Christmas too ☺️ the excitement and build up! Eek! Garden centres will be a fab place to visit, there full of lights and moving figures, sounds! Have you any plans for Milos first Christmas?

Aw it's like he's happy to see you, and get the all importance milk!!! Before nodding back off to dream land that is! Tonight Evie went 815-1 ish so she'll prob stir between 1-5 for another bottle!
I know it's like err ok what do I do first. I don't think I helped the situation tho, I tried to encourage her to take more milk (she only had 2oz) and well she decided to share the rest with me haha! Learnt my lesson!

Still undecided about the milk front 🙄 we've had a better day on the hipp, not really been sick much just the odd spit up here and then. However she def shows signs of being irritable after some feeds. It's so hard. My husband mentioned going in to aptamil comfort (DD1 was on this) as we only changed because of the struggling to poo/being uncomfortable situation). It's also a thicker milk so should help possible if any reflux issues - actually saying that it didn't stop DD1 puking everywhere most feeds!!!
It's so hard 😔 literally every feed I'm like yeh ok that was a good feed stay on it or no we're changing. But I don't want to mess her poor little tummy around because that won't help. Sorry I blabbered on there!

FairyDust92 · 02/09/2019 04:59

@Squeakybubbles26 yeah that's a good point actually.
They will have to sort it out or I'll with hold my rent 🙄 not that I want to do that as I never have but I have a young baby so they need to come do it ASAP.
I just love colder months ☺️. Not sure how hot it is at the moment. We usually have a the windows open but it was a bit chilly last night so we shut them but I'm a bit not now 🥵.
By sleepsuit do you mean just a babygrow? That's about right isn't it at 22?. Milo is currently in a babygrow with no vest and a swaddle.

True. We have a lovely garden centre with a very well known Christmas walk through, they start placing it all together in the October after their Halloween walk through! We try to get there for when they open when we visit otherwise it's harder to find a parking space and it's gets so busy!
I'm not sure what we'll do for Milo's first Christmas! What will you do for Evie's?

Oh dear 🙈 bless her haha!
That's good though. Have you had a good night?
Milo went to be at 10 and is currently still asleep. He had his feed at 7:45 then wanted another at 9.00 he must've wanted it as he drunk 4oz and 5oz on 7:45 feed. I guess maybe he could be having a growth spurt.

Oh no! Sounds hard with what you're battling against. I think if you feel in your heart you need to change then change. If it worked for your DD1 then it could work for Evie too maybe. I know it's horrible to think it'll mess around with her little stomach but I'm sure it won't that much. Least you can ask all your HV this and I hope she gives some better answers or suggestions and doesn't brush it under the carpet.

We have Milo's photo shoot booked in on 8th 🥰

Squeakybubbles26 · 02/09/2019 05:55

@FairyDust92 I'm sure if you express your concerns about having Milo they'll put the timer in, it's kind of giving them the sob act.
And if they don't like you say withhold you rent. That might make them listen!
I like it when your cold and you jump into bed to warm up, instead of jumping into bed and trying to find a position to cool down 😆
Yeh baby grow - covers arms and legs/like an all in one? We tried to swaddle Evie, full body sort of thing but she doesn't like having her arms enclosed. (God help me, already showing her personality)!

Oh I love Halloween too 😊 well since have children I do, it's like something else exciting to look forward to. Don't get me wrong we don't do the trick or treating but kind of have little parties as a family, decorate the house and have fun sort of thing. I bet that's lush to walk through, at least with being on maternity leave you'll be able to hopefully enjoy it when it's quiet too!
We have a few nice garden centres around, something to keep us busy on those colder days! This Christmas we've decided to start making our own traditions, with DD1 getting older we don't want her to open her presents and then we get ready to go else where. So we're going to enjoy it at home, have lunch together and then visit family and hopefully see her cousins etc. However this does mean I'm in charge of cooking 🙄 actually my husband likes cooking we can share this 😆!

The nights not been to bad, she woke about half hour ago for a feed and now currently asleep on me. She does keep squirming around tho 🙄
Sounds although he was a hungry boy! Do you ever have times throughout the day where he appears hungry but will only take an oz or 2 but be happy with that?

It's so hard trying to decide to what to do, I know nothings harming her and at least she's being fed but wish there was an easy solution! Because right now I don't see the light lol! Fingers crossed the HV is actually helpful!

Aw that'll be exciting! There's some Christmas presents sorted for you ;) DD1 has nursery photos at the end of the month, I'm hoping to get some of the 2 of them but doubt big sis will play ball! Is milo a very smiley baby?

FairyDust92 · 02/09/2019 08:03

@Squeakybubbles26 exactly!
Yeah that is nice but the worse is when you get into bed and the bed is cold! OMG 🥶

Yeah sorry I don't call them sleepsuits 😂 so had to make sure I knew what it was because when you say sleepsuit I automatically think the gro bags 😂. Oh I remember you saying Evie didn't like her arms tucked in! Haha. Their definitely showing their characters now aren't they ☺️.

Oh that's sounds nice. I'm not a massive fan of Halloween but the little kids parties are sweet! I have some house decorations I picked up last year for Halloween. When we're away in October there is a kids Halloween party so need to get a costume for Milo 🎃

Oh that's nice about Christmas! Don't you find when someone cooks Christmas dinner half the time they spend most of the time in the kitchen and that's no fun! We always go to my mums and she cooks. I cook a meat or something here as I don't think I should turn up empty handed even though she always says it's fine or I'll get a pudding. My mum spends most of the day in the kitchen! I know she's started to cook meat on Christmas Eve night as saves time. I absolutely cannot stand turkey 🤢.

That's a goodnight for you then. Well done Evie!
Yeah sometimes he will only take between 2-3oz and have no more but I'm happy with that as he knows when he's full. That's the way I look at it anyway. Does Evie?
Milo woke at 7, so done well!

Oh how lovely. Bet they will be good Christmas presents also! Let's hope she plays ball 🙈.
Yes Milo is a very smiley baby and always 'talking' I got a video the other day it is almost like it was a little laugh 😂.

Squeakybubbles26 · 02/09/2019 13:27

@FairyDust92 oh yes and your like shivering trying to warm up! Brrr. Or when you need the loo and you don't want to get out of bed cos it to cold!

No don't be sorry, everyone calls them different things ☺️ what's there actually name lol! Oh don't, yesterday my husband was trying to put her dummy in and she proper kept spitting it out 😂 he was like she's already showing her true colours 😆 god help us!

I Halloween more for the children! Already planning of making cakes/biscuits with DD1 ☺️ 🎃 eek! Oh I need to look into if anything is going on. We go at the start of Oct, so possibly not. What kind of place are you staying in? Going to Asda tomorrow so will see if they have any cute outfits (before they all go 🙈)!

Yeh, I feel they miss out a lot! Hopefully because it's just the 4 of us I won't miss out on much! I can tolerate turkey at Christmas - however prob will either get a turkey crown or a small chicken! Can't believe I'm already planning my Christmas lunch 😆😆😆

Thanks 😊 the milk does help well her tummy grumbles that she used to suffer with at night! Oh that's good to know, I sometimes worry she should be drinking more! Gosh there's me telling you I'm more relaxed, I don't feel it these days!
Well done Milo, sounds like everyone had a good night all around!

Aww that's so cute, it's like they are proper little humans! Still waiting for Evie to smile lots, she's showing signs but not continual.

FairyDust92 · 02/09/2019 19:05

@Squeakybubbles26 trying to hold on for a wee cos I cba to get out of bed is the story of my life tbf.

Hahah I think Evie is a bit sassy 🤣. Tell me about it I stand there for ages with Milo like take your dummy then... then I give up and he gives a little shout to me 😂.

Oh tell me about it! I'm going to pop into Asda too. Do you find they literally sell out so quickly! Same as Christmas outfits!
Baking sounds nice! Are you a good baker?
We're going to Butlin's ☺️ not everyone's choice of holiday but we've all been going since we were like 6 and absolutely love it. So good for the kids! Not so good for our pockets with the bloody arcades though! I just love how it's so family/kid orientated! We go every year 🥰.

I know Christmas isn't far away though! I don't know what it is about turkey it just has a funny taste! 🤢

We did have a good night thank you. He's been very sleep today though. I think he is just a sleepy baby. He doesn't stay awake as long as other babies as he should've been more awake at 6 weeks but I think he just like a sleep haha. How is Evie today?

Oh bless her she will when she's ready won't she.

Squeakybubbles26 · 03/09/2019 03:31

@FairyDust92 it's just a pain to move from the bed at all I find lol!

Oh gosh her sister is little miss sass! I can't have 2 of them, sometimes DD1 talks (tells me probably to do something) and I look at her like err ok what do I do now 😂😂! She's the boss! I love the sound of Milo's little shouts! 😂

Yes!! Quite glad I can ship early! I literally done my Christmas shop start of nov last year and went into Asda to buy some clothes and toys and the shelves were practically empty 😩 typically most of DD1 clothes weren't in her size either!

Am I good baker 😂😂😂 no far from, but I like to attempt to bake with DD1. She loves is and it's something we both can do. I usually buy the ready to make packets (easier ha)! Do you like to bake/cook?

Buttons is fab for the kids! I've heard the so toddler holders etc and have been recommended it by fellow parents! Just never got round to looking into it! Cor that must be a trek from your house! However I guess Bognor Wouldn't feel like a holiday as it's not far from Hampshire is it?
I love the arcades, I have to make out it's all for DD1 but it's for me hehe!

Least other meats are available m! I'd happily have steak and chips for Christmas mind!

Maybe he is going through a growth spurt? Or just likes his sleep 😴? I don't blame him mind! We've got better with naps but we're awake a lot more now, typically always when I need to do something 😂!
We had a bad evening up until bedtime, really irritable, crying seemed in pain. She wanted to but couldn't sleep it was horrible bless her. She keeps swallowing and then crying out. Eventually got her to bed around 10ish so hopefully will only be the one feed tonight ☺️ (famous last words)!
How's Milo doing?

Milestones are just a number, they all develop at their own pace. It's the people that my child this my child that I want to slap! However think we'll all be smiling more when what ever this problem is, is resolved lol! Poor bubba!

FairyDust92 · 03/09/2019 08:25

@Squeakybubbles26 true it's to hard to leave bed 😂

Haha sounds like you have 2 sassy girls ☺️. How funny little miss bossy haha.
I know, I think Milo is probably a bit sassy to. Especially when say he's awake and I drift off he just makes noise until he can see my eyes open. When I open them he stops this goes on until he falls asleep. Maybe I should do it to him then I think, nope better let him sleep 😂.

No way! At the start of Nov it was empty! That's crazy. They do some good deals don't they like 3 for £20 so not surprised. I did most of mine online but I still went round to shops because I like all the Christmas decorations but it was a lot less stressful! B&M have some good toys and also on 2 for £20!

Oh well least it is something you can do together! I don't really bake but I do like to cook from scratch! Can you cook? My sister is the baker she's so good! I do try to bake usually at Christmas 🎄.

Bognor is a lot closer but like you said it's too close to feel like a holiday haha! We go there on day trips as it's like 40 minutes away. Bognor is also a bit small and Minehead is a lot bigger. It's great for kids. Never been on a just for tots weekends as heard they shut the facilities by 8pm and for me that's very early!

Steak and chips 🤤

I think he is going through a growth spurt in all honesty. He was awake at 4:45 for a feed and then woke up at 7:30 but he went to bed at 10:30 so cant complain. How was your night last night after all?
Oh poor Evie :( it's such a shame she's having such a tough time. I hope this all gets sorted for you. Do you know what caused her to cry when she was swallowing?

Oh I hate that when parents say stuff like that!
Yeah i think her little tummy is probably preventing her from smiling. It would me too mind!

Milo has got into a little habit of having to have something against his face when he is falling asleep. He must have got this from me 🙈

Squeakybubbles26 · 03/09/2019 15:11

@FairyDust92 oh indeed she's bossy! She attends the child care setting I worked at and she was so bossy, kind of copying what I say towards the other children. I think she thinks it's the norm 🙈
Haha, "mummy how dare you close your eyes" lol! How do they know already!!

Ok, Asda is not prepared for Halloween yet or Christmas! I'm shocked lol! There was nothing there actually, it's like they are still trying to flog summer stuff and the school shop! Hmm! So was a bit of a pants outing! I prefer shopping in person but get peeved very quickly!

I enjoy cooking, or being in the kitchen actually it's kind of my little time for myself. I wouldn't say I was fantastic, however if I do something nice I will blow my own trumpet hahah!! Actually so does my husband 🙈 my problem with baking is I can never make my cakes rise! Are you a sweet tooth or a savoury lover?

I've been to Bognor a few times, but not in years. The last time I went it was a adult weekend! 😂 so don't remember to much of it ha! Don't think I've ever been to minehead. Have you ever been to haven or places like that? Cor 8pm is early!

Night wasn't great from 3 when she woke for a feed! Poor thing somethings troubling her. I know she'll grow out of it but I want a happy baby :( don't want to see her suffer.
He must be nearly 2 months old? When's his first jabs?

Aw that's so cute, he's developing a comfort for himself. I've noticed Evie likes to hold her Muslin, but I don't know if that's because it's there and she just touches/grabs it without realising. (She doesn't take it to bed at night) .

FairyDust92 · 03/09/2019 18:34

@Squeakybubbles26 haha she's like a mini mummy! How funny 😂

Really?! I'm surprised they don't have anything in! Tell me about the summer sale everytime I go they have nothing for little boys it's all little girls!!! 3 rack full of little girls last time and I found 2 pieces of boys!

Haha why not! My partner blows his own trumpet when he cooks. He usually asks me to taste but I always refuse as he puts cheese on absolutely everything and I hate cheese! 🤢 I'm more of a savoury person. What about you?

The new pool is Bognor is meant to be really good! We were there when it was being built but only recently opened. It's nice for a day out especially when Milo gets a bit older ☺️.
Yes we went to haven in Devon, it was good but not as good as Butlin's. How about you?
8pm is far to early to tell adults to go to bed 😂😂!

Oh bless her. I hope you have a better night tonight? When is the HV?
He is 2 months on Friday and has his jabs tomorrow 😳 luckily enough my partner can come out of work for them then he has to go back afterwards. They said to give him calpol but it says from 2m... I know it's only 2 days but he's 2m on Friday... he was 8 weeks on Saturday though so I'll double check. Dreading them my poor little bubba 😪

Yeah same I don't let him sleep with it only to settle him! My nephew was really attached to his muslin which was good because you can easily replace muslins!

Squeakybubbles26 · 03/09/2019 21:32

@FairyDust92 there was hardly anything ok winter coats but that's it! And doesn't help the store is massive so I walked down one end to get bread then realised I needed to walk back the other end 😩

How can you not like cheese 🙈 it's beautiful!!!!! Could have it grated on most meals ;) I love my sweet food 😩☺️ I wish I didn't tho 😔 I actually went off chocolate for a bit when I was pregnant mind haha! Did you have any cravings?

I didn't know they had a new pool, but it's nice you can take advantage of the facilities when Milo gets older. Yeh been to haven several times, we went to one in Cornwall in May. It's perfect for location however the entertainment can be a bit cheesy lol! We're staying at a John Fowler resort in Oct, and prefer them to haven. But mind you I'm not fussy when I need a break away (much)! Ha!

Thanks, touch wood for a good 😴! HV is coming tomorrow! Today has been one of the worst days she's had poor thing :( I literally doubted why I changed her milk! I should just go back (typically after I've opened a new tub). I had a pre made bottle of aptamil spare and gave her that to help settle her before bed and it worked! Could of been a fluke tho!

Oh good luck with the jabs. I'm sure the call will be fine, it's to prevent a temperature from occurring. That'll be a new taste for him too! DD1 would never take calpol when she was young. Now she gets a slight sniffle and requests it ha!

Does milo have any comforters? We bought 3 bunny blanket things for Evie before she was born. Just incase we loose them! Ha. She best like them mind 🙄🐰!

FairyDust92 · 03/09/2019 21:47

@Squeakybubbles26 I've seen the winter clothes and shock they didn't have his size so have to order online!

I don't know I'm weird I don't like cheese or humous it's so plain and the texture is just vile! 😂 other than that I eat pretty much everything 😂

No I had no cravings, did you? Got a bit of an obsession for maltesers now though... 🙄 and I'm not even a big chocolate eater!

Yeah definitely nice little day trips ☺️. Oh bet Cornwall was nice though! Never heard of where you are going. Is it good? Yeah but the cheesy entertainment is what makes it isn't it 😂 and after a few you find yourself singing along 😳.

Oh that's good she is coming tomorrow. Oh bless! I hope she manages to get sorted poor girl sounds awful :(.
I'll be a sobbing mess tomorrow! It just worries me as it says not under 2 months but I'll ask the nurse who does his jabs.
What is it with kids they love it don't they! It's bloody vile and stinks! Managed to pick up a sugar & colour free one though which is good!

Good idea buying 3! 😂 he likes his dumbo comforter but they don't sell it anymore 😳 well they do but it's different! Wish me luck! But atm he likes his blanket up against his face and I change the blanket over a lot for that reason 😂

Just been food shopping I swear half the shelves were empty and fresh stuff has such rubbish dates on them! Trying to find diced lamb was like gold dust!!!! 😒

Squeakybubbles26 · 04/09/2019 03:22

@FairyDust92 I'm hoping within the next few weeks the rails will be re stocked with all the autumn/winter range! I dont need much for Evie, possibly some thicker bits as the winter months go on. Thankfully DD1 her clothes still fit from last year, she's smaller than a lot of her friends even though she's one of the oldest bless her.

I agree with the humours but cheese lol 🙄 I'm a real foody, except fish meals. I used to be really fussy then my husband made me try things and guess what I actually liked them haha!

Oo Maltesers are nourish, they are so easy to just snack on! No real cravings as such but every day for breakfast I had to have jam on toast and greek yog ☺️ but since a she's been born I haven't wanted it as much ha!

Thanks I hope things settle/improve soon! It's making it really hard to enjoy these early days 😔 as much as I do love her tho! Bedtime was funny tonight I had DD1 shouting/crying upstairs (playing up) and Evie crying, uncomfortable downstairs lol! I wanted to join them haha!

These jabs he won't be aware, they get worse over the next 2 lots as they understand more 😢 wait until his 16 week ones! I'm sure the nurse will say it's fine, but best to double check to reassure yourself.
I didn't know they did colour free calpol! Calpol takes rank, so sweet eugh!

Ah no way! Thankfully you've got time if you need to provide another comforter. I only bought 3 because DD1 when she started nursery we only had 2, but nursery bunny was getting stained, and well let's say well used! So I thought we best have a spare one for home! She'd quite happily take all 3 to bed! They love the smell of home/you as well ☺️

What's going on! Everyone's stocking up for the back to school week lol! I remember the days I enjoyed food shopping ha!!

@Squeakybubbles26 hopefully! Awh bless she must be a dink!

Least you like more food now 😂

haha isn't funny what you can crave then when they're born you forget about it 😂

Oh gosh! I bet you did want to join them! How is Evie today? Did the HV suggest anything?

It's not colour free not sure where I got that from!
His jabs were awful. I sobbed before I took him, sobbed in there aswell. The scream he let out just made me instantly ball never heard him scream like that and it was heartbreaking 😭. He's had 2 feeds since and seemed to be himself. Woke up 4 hours on the dot screaming again sounded like pain as never heard him like this and gave him some calpol. I'm really hoping he goes 6 hours now as he can only have it 4 times in 24 hours 😪. He was smiley when we got home but he's sleeping now and I think his legs are giving him jib more now then when he had them done. Wish I could have the pain for him 😭. He currently laid on the sofa. He looks a bit pale but she did say he could loose colour 😞.

@FairyDust92 it's more annoying when you stock up on all these foods you like/fancy and then when there here it's like err don't like that now!

So funnily enough Evie has had one of the best days in a long while (remind me this at a later date ha)! The odd outburst but nothing like the previous few days! The HV believe it or not was actually really helpful and it felt nice to talk to someone! She said everything Evie is doing is normal and some babies suffer more than other but Evie isn't as severe as some. (Feel sorry for those parents and babies 😢) she did mention we could go back to aptamil as she only stated crying more after feeds with the hipp. But I've only just opened a new cartoon yesterday and because we've had a good day I'll continue to use it up until we have another bad day! lol! The tongue tie as well, they won't do anything as it's not to bad and she's bottle fed, also it apparently stretches as they get older and should affect her speech?!

Oh Poor Milo (and you)! Did you partner still go with you? The scream/cry is awful isn't it 😢 you just want to take their pain away! Poor guy! How's he been since? Is the calpol more for a high temperature? I've got this all on Monday 😩
He should of hopefully forgotten about his ordeal prob making him feel groggy tho! Fingers crossed it doesn't affect him tonight.

@Squeakybubbles26 glad the HV was helpful and you got some insight on Evie! Oh isn't that always the way when you open a new tub of milk! 😂. Glad Evie and yourself had a good day yesterday and I hope she starts to feel her little self again soon. Oh gosh that sounds awful even thinking about a baby in constant discomfort 😪.

I'd still ask your doctor about the tongue tie maybe a different doctor from your last one and ask to be referred if you want to of course. It does affect speech though... imagine someone pinching your tongue back when you're trying to speak.

Yes my partner went with me. Just as-well really I would've been able to do it on my own. Is your partner going with you?
So last night was a good night he woke up at 5 for a feed. He screamed 4 hours after his jabs which was awful but I think it was his little tummy for sure it was making weird noises so definitely that oral one gave him stomach cramps. Thankful he only had to have 2 lots of calpol didn't bother giving him the rest as he didn't need it and didn't want to dose him up on calpol 😖. Yeah the calpol is to reduce the temp from menb vaccine.
Oh gosh good luck Monday! I know we got to do it all again in 4 weeks! 😞

How was your night?

Hi ladies just to let you know there's no solid evidence that a tongue tie effects speech, I work in this field! Midwives and health visitors in our area seem to be misinforming parents about the effects but if you're really concerned you need to ask to be referred to a maxillofacial surgeon as they can assess properly :)

FairyDust92 · 05/09/2019 10:22

@20viona no but it does effect articulation.. which in a roundabout way is speech.

20viona · 05/09/2019 10:24

@FairyDust92 Well I disagree.
