@FairyDust92 I can't wait for the matching dresses! Can't wait to get them the same Christmas dress ☺️

It's not so bad girls going in a blue stroller, a boy in a pink one I don't know if I could tho! My mum has a pink/grey one that she uses for DD1 when she has her so glad Evie is a girl! However you can buy inserts to add colour I guess!

Aw I remember being like that with DD1, there so precious you just want to protect them. Do you live close to family? There's no rush to leave them, and your the one who knows how he likes to be fed, winded, sleep etc and you'd only worry if someone else had him! It's natural!

I hate it when people judge a babies weight it's not as if your adding chocolate milkshake to his formula, he's having the nutrients he needs! How much did he weigh when he was born? I wouldnt say he was huge, better to have weight and enjoy his food than have a problem with feeding/gaining weight! Silly people!

FairyDust92 · 27/08/2019 09:31

@Squeakybubbles26 haha I suppose you are lucky that you had another girl! 😂
I'm not buying a stroller yet as I'm trying to be good and realistic... 🙄 if I buy a stroller I know I won't use the 2nd part of my pushchair when he's ready to go in it 🙈.

He was 7lb 2 when he was born and he's over 10lb now but he's on his right percentile...
I think people expect them to be this tiny baby still. Come on he's nearly 2 months he's filling out!! 😂 he's currently kicking my arm glaring at me thinking. Get off your phone lady.

Exactly! Yeah I'm quite fortunate. My brother lives a couple doors down and my mum about 10 minute walk. My other sisters live about 20 mins. There is only one sister that doesn't live close by. How about you? X

Squeakybubbles26 · 28/08/2019 03:50

@FairyDust92 we initially got the stroller to have at my mums however its been good to use when when go away as they take up less room in the boot! What pushchair have you got?

Aw there's not much in it between our 2 LO's. Evie was born 7.01 and finally got her weight today and she's 9.14! Least I know she's eaten well ☺️.

Developing a little character already :) it's like they know when they aren't getting the attention!

Aw that's nice you've got a lot of immediate family close by, especially for Milo when he grows up ☺️ does he have many cousins?
My mum lives about half hour drive away so not to bad, we see her about twice a week which is nice. My husbands family are closer his mum/dad about 15min drive, my SIL lives about a 10min walk away.

We've had our best night ever tonight 😁😁 tried Evie with her usual last bedtime feed at 9, she was to tired and having non of it and slept though til 3... however her last feed before that was like 6.00! So she's gone a good period of time between feeds (I now know she can do it)! However between 6.30-7.30 she was quiet upset, think it was wind related couldn't settle her that well in the end she did give in and was fine after that but poor thing what ever it was was troubling her 😔

FairyDust92 · 28/08/2019 07:02

@Squeakybubbles26 yeah that's a good idea. I have the mothercare journey edit. What about you?

Oh that's good! At least she is gaining weight like she is supposed to ☺️.

Yeah it is nice. Least your family are still close by which is nice. Yes Milo has 6 cousins and soon to be 7. I mean brother and sisters children. If we were to count like second cousins etc we'd be nearing on a about 80. How about yo?

That's really good! Oh bless her and her wind! 😔 she went a while didn't she!
Milo used to go from 10:30-4:00/4:30 then until 8:00/8:30 but the last 2 nights he has gone from 11:00 until 7:00 ☺️

Squeakybubbles26 · 28/08/2019 11:59

@FairyDust92 does that come as a bundle with car seat, bassinet etc? We've got the oyster 2.

My SIL has 2 daughters who are roughly the same age as our 2, which is nice! It'll be nice they can grow up together 😌!

I love it when there sleep is on a good stretch until you have an off night. We still don't have a real consistency as of yet, take each night as it comes! Some nights are longer stretches than others! Well get there!
That's a good night sleep for you all tho :) well done milo!

I've changed Evie's milk today (well bought it ready) we've had a lot of crying episodes after feeds recently and struggling to poo so going to try hipp organic. 🤞!

FairyDust92 · 28/08/2019 14:14

@Squeakybubbles26 the journey comes with car seat but the journey edit which I have only comes with carrycot and the big seat. I chose the edit because of the separate carry cot. The normal journey the carrycot changed into the big seat with a few fastenings and I didn't like that didn't feel very comfortable.

Oh that's nice when they're similar age ☺️ I grew up with a few cousins similar age.

Yeah of course! I'm just waiting for it to change but like you said just taking each day as it comes. I know when his little toothy pegs start coming through our routine will be messed but understandable. Going to buy him one of those amber anklets to help with teething. His dad started to teeth when he was 3 months and had two bottom teeth by 5 months! 😳.

Oh bless Evie. Has she been having some problems again? What were you using?
Hope the HiPP Organic works for you both x

Squeakybubbles26 · 28/08/2019 19:30

@FairyDust92 does he like his carrycot? We never got the carrycot for our pushchair as you had to pay extra - something stupid like £150! However the main seat is suitable from birth and with the included birth insert thing and it looks quite comfy - thank god! What colour is your pushchair? You can get some quite snazzy ones these days!

Yeh I like it there all close in age - there 4 of them now (including my two) that's 3 and under so it's really nice especially around birthday, Easter and Christmas 😌 I was never really close in age or close in general to my cousins so I like it they are! I bet it felt like having extra siblings for you!

At least your realistic, and you never know he may be a dream sleeper and nothing will bother him ☺️ I think a good fill always helps too! Does he ever get wind issues?

Oh god the dreaded teeth I feel for them poor things. At least they can have calpol and bonjela 😌 cor 3 months it's more sad they don't understand why they are in pain! Wait until the jabs actually by the 3rd lot they know what's happening 😞

Thanks hopefully the hipp will help if anything it's cheaper lol! It would be nice if it helps with the 3am or what ever feed onwards as that's when she struggles a lot with wind.

FairyDust92 · 28/08/2019 23:37

@Squeakybubbles26 oh that's good! It's so pricey isn't it! That's why I went for the one I did as didn't have to pay extra. I really wanted the bugaboo donkey but in reality I couldn't afford to pay £1,000+ for a pushchair as you had to pay extra for pretty much everything! Mine is grey. I've attached a pic. What colour is yours? I did pay £180 for my car seat what was on offer from £250 as it is a recline one. I haven't sat him up in his car seat yet 😳 I keep it reclined lol! And the good thing is it attaches to my buggy and it's so easy to attach!

Love that their all close in age ☺️. I was quite lucky that I had siblings similar age. The older two were 11 and 10 when I was born but there is 10 months between me and my sister. I was a premmie that clearly was impatient 😂. Hats off to my mum and dad for having two 10 months apart!

I hope so for his sake. He loves his sleep so does mummy and daddy 🤣. Omg I'm already dreading the first jabs they will be even worse at that age! Definitely daddy that will be doing them with me waiting outside like a nervous wreck.

That's good that it is cheaper! Me and my partner were literally just saying how milk seems to be the same price anywhere for cow and gate now which is good even our co op by us! So it should be the same price everywhere as it's something that babies need!

LO is just having his feed now so hopefully will go through the night🤞🏼

FairyDust92 · 28/08/2019 23:38

@Squeakybubbles26 help if I attached the pic... 🙄

July 2019 - Thread 2
Squeakybubbles26 · 29/08/2019 01:57

@FairyDust92 pushchairs can do be so pricey, it's like buying a car when you take them for the test run round Mothercare 😂 I love the main seat of yours, that it's straight. Nice colour too ☺️ I don't mind paying extra for car seats, they are for safety in my eyes - I guess comfort helps as well lol! They look so tiny when they first go in them mind, however Evie I swear is getting bigger day by day when I compare her on her mat, car seat, rocker etc! Slow down child!

Aw I bet that's nice having 10months between you and your sister, did it work out well with the school years or are you in different years? There's such a big age gap between me and my you gets brothers, 6 years and then 13! However one advantage is when on holiday and I wanted to do the party dances at 16 I had a good excuse haha!

I love my sleep! It's funny how you can adapt though (well we have no choice haha)! I remember being able to nap daily with DD1 and now it's like nap ha what's that 😩 do you have take advantage of a cheeky day time nap? Poor babies, there worth it but I hate seeing them in pain.

I know how can places range in price for the same product, ridiculous to be fair! There all roughly the same too, just some have the added ingredient - even though I couldn't tell you what they were! Hoping tomorrow we may see a few changes to Evie, a poo would be helpful tho!

As you can tell tonight isn't a nice long night for us, hopefully it is for you :) x

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 02:14

@Squeakybubbles26 thank you ☺️ yeah went for grey as didn't find out what we were having 🙂. Does your seat not sit straight then?

Yes we were in the same school year. If I was born on time she would have been the year up from me. One thing my mum always mentioned was it was weird changing a 10 month old then changing a newborns bum 😂. I could imagine!

Oh tell me about it! You look at them and you think wait when did you start fitting that properly!

Hahaha! Least you got an excuse to do the party dances 😂. Luckily Milo has younger cousins as his eldest is 15 so I'm sure when Milo wants to dance the older boys will be far too cool as they will be 16,14 & 12. Feel too young to be an auntie to a 15 year old! 😂.

Oh bless I am guessing she doesn't really poo! Not sure if it will help Evie but when the weather is hot Milo has some water he poos through the eye of a needle! Of course he has about an ounce of water before he fully realises what it is and then starts gagging like a diva 😂. Just before we were going out yesterday he threw up all his water on me and him 🙄.

Hope the new milk helps for her though! We're doing good at the moment he is still asleep. Not sure why I am not though!

Yes I do try and nap through the day with him but haven't for a while. Been helping out my brother with some babysitting during the school holidays so been a bit busy lol x

Leahbealle · 29/08/2019 02:41

Am I pregnant when my temperature is 37.0 Celsius

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 03:05

@Leahbealle I literally answered your question 2 times. Your temperature doesn't determine if you're pregnant! As previously suggested to you take a test.

Squeakybubbles26 · 29/08/2019 04:55

@FairyDust92 up again 😴 def having a bad night tonight. Poor thing she seems so uncomfortable 😣 she goes daily usually but it's the build up to going she can strain and strain for hours! We've tried boiled water on the odd occasion (I must do it more) they do gag don't they the poor things! And the faces Evie pulls when she realises it's not milk!

Yeh our pushchair sits straight - like a the letter L if you get me and has different reclines until flat. I mean your flat option can be on a tilt sort of thing (well it looks it) I like the way they look.

Oh gosh yeh, fair play to your mum and dad! I find it hard with a toddler at times! Cor they must of had fun when you both started school etc! Funny you say about the nappies DD1 still wears one to bed and when Evie was born, your obviously so gentle with them lifting their legs etc and I was putting a nappy on her sister and it felt so weird.

Is there much of an age gap between you and your nieces/nephews?
Cor how do you stay up so late, by 10 I'm pooped! Mind you these early wakings start to take its toll that could be why. Hope this milk helps soon!

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 05:16

@Squeakybubbles26 oh no! Hope you have a better night tomorrow! Milo woke for his feed at 4:45.. I knew he would wake at some point as he only took an ounce on his 10:30 bottle the pickle. He's currently laying wide awake giving me lots of smilies so I can't not interact with him. 😂

Oh! I get you now. Yes it does tilt completely flat and tilt in slightly different positions.

It must be so weird going from a big bum to such a small bum! 😂

There is 11 years between me and my eldest nephew ☺️ more like a sibling age difference lol.

Hope the new milk starts working for you soon!

I am usually zonked but I still haven't been to sleep yet don't usually have trouble sleeping but I feel unnerved not sure why 🤷🏻‍♀️

Squeakybubbles26 · 29/08/2019 07:31

@FairyDust92 thanks so do I 😊 even DD1 was up in the night! Party in our house last night!

It's like they know they get cuddles! I love the bedtime smiles! 😍

Yeh, it's funny when I try to be gentle with DD1 whilst doing her nappy and she's like mummy what you doing lol!

Aw I bet it's nice to be close in age, you can prob understand the lingo easier! We have apprentices at our work place and half the stuff they talk about I'm like yehhh! And I don't even class myself as old lol!

🥛 thanks so do I! Poor bubba!

My gosh I hope you eventually got some sleep! Have you got things on your mind? I hate it when you can't sleep. During the feeds I ordered DD1 birthday presents (it's dangerous knowing your card number off by heart) then couldn't sleep as I had all these ideas going through my mind! Peppa pig overload lol 😂

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 07:55

@Squeakybubbles26 ehh bastard peppa blooming pig! My briefs and nephews have all loved it! She's such a brat!

Did you enjoy the party for 2? What time did you stroll in? Aka bed 😂

Gosh,'half the stuff kids talk about Naomi don't even want to know!
I won't ask your age haha!

No I just had a feeling that I couldn't put my finger on it's almost like a sense of doom, very odd. Had about 2hrs up now and the feeling is gone ☺️.
Yep that is bad you remember your card of by heart. I'm just as guilty I also do Apple Pay 🙄.

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 07:57

@Squeakybubbles26 definitely don't have briefs! 😂 not sure why I was trying to say there!

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 07:58

@Squeakybubbles26
Ah just re read I meant niece not brief! 😂😂

Squeakybubbles26 · 29/08/2019 10:40

@FairyDust92 by any chance are you tired! Little giggle to keep you going 😂

The party wasn't fun, I'd rather not of been invited haha! However everyone's in a good mood today so obviously it was a good night lol!

I couldn't tell you what time I slept lol I was in and out of it from 2.. and typically my husband decided to come back to our bed then instead of staying in the spare room! Cheers dear!

Oh god who's Naomi 😂😂 I'm only 31 🙄 not a spring chicken but don't want to class myself as old yet either!

Oh gosh, I hate those nights it's like your mind works over time. Glad your feeling ok now tho! Having a child doesn't help you end up worrying about them!

It's to easy these days isn't it 🙈 buying things that is!

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 11:06

@Squeakybubbles26 god my auto correct is lovely! 🙄 probs half asleep writing it tbh!
Surprisingly awake and considering I only had 2 hours sleep! 😂
Should've kicked him out the bed lol! My partner continently didn't hear Milo stirring. I call 💩!

31 isn't old at all, still young tbh!

Thank you. I know and the worrying doesn't stop haha!

Yeah it's so easy at a click of a button now. I ordered Milo a toy story 4 build a bear last night. It was on sale so thought why not?! 😂

Any plans for today? We're off the the beach with his cousins and my mum :)

Squeakybubbles26 · 29/08/2019 19:01

@FairyDust92 I love auto correct 🙈 def in the worse situations!
A funny story for you: so at work once we have x2 weekly food shopping delivered and one my colleagues sorts the shopping out and informs the owner of anything she may need to add for the following delivery.
So.. we had a delivery and she realised we needed some more white rolls. So she texts the owner saying we needed more "shit rolls" to which the owner replies, that's ok that comes from our hygiene order. Thankfully the girl realised what she sent and corrected it to state we needed white rolls lol 😂😂😂 I still crack up to this day!

Why, thanks having children makes you feel old- lack of sleep haha!

Apparently the worrying doesn't stop even when they leave home and now my mum even worries about my girls too!

I love the fact you can go to the beach when you like! Very jealous, what a nice place for milo to grow up in! Well my exciting day involved staying in for the window man to come and redo our windows 😂 however DD1 did have a friend over to play so I had some adult company for a while 😊

Unfortunately Evie hasn't had a good day, we've hit a crying stage, sure she had mild colic of something, especially tummy problems! Also she doesn't nap unless on me so doesn't get much sleep if I have to do things! Which doesn't help! Can't wait for this stage to pass 😴😩

How's milo?x

FairyDust92 · 29/08/2019 21:56

@Squeakybubbles26 hahaha how funny! She's not going to live that one down! 🙈

Of course! My mums worries about all of us and our children too! As soon as she sees a product recalled or safety alerts she messages us it bless her! I'm not on Facebook so it helps me a lot as most of it is posted on there 😂.

Yes i am fortunate that he can grow up near the beach. They recently put a splash park in too so be good for him when's he's old enough to walk and splash! ☺️ meh don't you hate waiting for workman! Hope your windows got sorted! Oh that's nice she had a play date and for you of course!

Not sure how I've managed on 2hrs sleep today but I feel more awake then what I usually do!
Oh bless Evie! Do you think she might have a cows milk allergy? Have they ruled that out?
Hope she feels better soon! So difficult when they want cuddles because although we have stuff to do the mum guilt kicks in and you have to remind yourself their little stages don't last long enough and they grow so quick! I do a big deep clean every week because I'm a bit OCD! Lol. I do cleaning everyday as I'm a neat/clean freak but my deep clean I do when my partner is here so he can watch Milo so I don't feel so bad! I done it once on my own and felt like I didn't hold him so mum guilt tripped in massively!

Milo is doing good thank you! He's currently soundo in his rocker chair. Should wake around 11/12 for his feed but he probably won't but if he does he'll take about 2oz probably!
I gave him a bath a bit later than usual the other day and he stayed asleep!! 🙈 x

Squeakybubbles26 · 30/08/2019 02:48

@FairyDust92 aw that's good of your mum☺️ what I find mind it how would you know if half the stuff you bought was recalled I wouldn't have a clue 🙄

Aw he'll love the splash park as he gets older, there a really good idea I find! Are you within walking distance of the beach then? We're like to complete oppersite (how ever you spell it 🙈)! We live in the middle of the country side, which has its advantages. Thankfully not remote tho and close to towns etc.

Fair play lasting on 2 hours sleep! Mind you sometimes I found I could last better on little sleep than a good nights. Obviously not daily tho!

I don't know what's wrong with her, I'm possibly looking into it to much. She's still only little and it could be a number of factors. We have the HV coming on weds so il monitor her with the new formula and see if we see any improvements and if not ask for her advice. I'm aware you need to give things time to settle in! However for the first time in god knows how long she has just done a poo after a night bottle! This has been unheard of and she would usually strain/struggle until some point the following day (even tho when she goes it's a normal colour/liquid consistency - sorry tmi)!

Their time when they are young is so precious the mum guilt does happen more often I find! I felt proper guilty earlier hadn't long got Evie down for a nap (they can be a challenge as well now a days lol). So me and DD1 started colouring, got everything out and guess who wakes up 🙈👶🏻 I felt really sorry for her all she wanted was some mummy time. Evie's not a huge fan of her rocker, I think she feels a little lost in it!

What time do you aim to go to bed with milo then usually? Evie had a feed at 8.30 last night and woke for another at 2 so happy with that. Was worried she'd wake after like 2/3 hours as during the day she was feeding quite often. Thank god she didn't lol! Ha he didn't wake for his bath, lol he must of been content and tired! In his bath do you cover him with the water or just continually pour water over him so he doesn't get cold?

FairyDust92 · 30/08/2019 08:08

@Squeakybubbles26 no half the time I wouldn't either! It was a mothercare sleep bag white grey stars which has been recalled as the tog is labelled wrong so risk of over heating.

Yes about 5 minute walk from the beach. It's nice the country side isnt it. Do you have some nice lakes/forests?

Oh bless her I hope it gets sorted soon and HV listens! Glad she went for a poo though! Did the doctors not ask if she was going for a poo daily? They did with Milo. My nephew has to take this sachet with his drink everyday because since he was a baby he just wasn't going for a poo and when he did he was straining and found it really hard. I think there is an issue with his bowel they said.

Oh no! Evie timed that well 😂 that would make mum guilt trip in horrendously!

Usually Milo settles down at 8. I don't put him in the room on his own even though I have monitors 🙄 so he sits with me until I go to bed at 10:30-11. That's good she held out! ☺️
Milo had his last bottle at 7:45 last night then woke at 5am for another feed as he refused his 12 one 🙄. He's just waking up now.
So when he has a bath yes I pour water over him, do you with Evie?
He also has his soft flannel placed over his body to keep him that extra bit warm! Haha
