@Squeakybubbles26 my LO is a chunky monkey in the day time he won't go past 3 hours for his feed. This afternoon he was due at 3pm and was screaming at 3:15 🙊 I could tell the time by him! As long as he is feeding I'm happy with it ☺️. Oh hate patronising did she tell you to open the window? 😂😂 ikr but I also feel that people learn as they go along what works for someone may not work for someone else! Oh really bless her, he was lucky to not undergo s blood test as it cleared up 🙂. That's crazy i bet you're glad you're not pregnant now aren't you? Do you miss your bump? I do ☹️ x

Squeakybubbles26 · 08/08/2019 19:14

@FairyDust92 ha least he enjoys his food tho, his poor tummy must be like feed me! Kinda lol she said about having the curtains closed and not opening the window on the side of the house where the sun is because it would let the heat in - obviously love! Lol 😂 exactly everyone is so different and the way everyone parents is completely different too! I'm all for advice but if it's patronising no no lol! I'm so glad I'm not pregnant I was getting so uncomfortable, I don't really miss my bump - Iunless you class missing leaning my cuppa on it I miss that lol x

FairyDust92 · 08/08/2019 19:58

@Squeakybubbles26 hahaha resting your tea on your bump 😂. Nah she's just patronising. Oh god don't, he acts like he is starving! 😂 there was no possible way to cool down when there was that heat! Even the nights are warm now 🥵 been having the fan on most nights! X

Squeakybubbles26 · 08/08/2019 20:07

@FairyDust92 the bump had its advantages. I do miss the kicks etc tho and it's mad to think that she was inside me and now she's squirming and grunting on the outside! Is your LO a grunter? Yeh a few weeks back that heat was awful! However I've been finding it cooler these last few nights which is bliss 😊 hopefully you'll cool down soon! Weathers meant to be crap this weekend mind ah x

Bunnybaubles · 08/08/2019 20:50

@FairyDust92 Yeh the miscarriage was a bit surreal tbh. I didnt know I was pregnant. I didnt find out I'd had a miscarriage until 2 months after it happened when I wiped after going to the toilet and the little egg came out. Doctor told me I wouldve been 10 weeks by the size of the egg. I have a good idea what caused it tho, I fell down the stairs a couple months before, breaking my foot and dislocating my toes and obviously had x-rays and strong pain killers etc. It was a really nasty fall and a few days later I woke up in a pool of blood thinking I peed the bed and ran to the toilet but I genuinely thought it was a heavy period at the time. Apart from telling DP I've not really spoke about it. I told my mum and she quickly changed the subject like it never happened so just kept it to myself since lol. My 20 year old is a boy, but he's not my DP's, my younger 3 are girls - 19, 1 and 5 weeks 😁
Oooh I love that you changed sides of the bed with your DP 😂 That'll definitely teach him to shut up!! You should get him to Google 'dream feeds', brilliant for last feeds at night - all about being quiet and not waking your lo 😂

@Squeakybubbles26 aww it makes such a difference when you get a bit more sleep through the night, so glad it's getting better. My Son only used to wake every 30 minutes through the night and didnt improve much till he was 4 😱 Not sure how I got through it, suppose I was just 17 years old at the time so had endless energy back then 😂
Hopefully the gripe water works, I used it with my 1 year old, it worked wonders! Sometimes had to reduce when I gave it to her as I found it stopped working as well, but after a shirt break it was great again. My 5 week old winds great, i am blessed!! I burp her every 2 ounce she drinks. Did you know that if you put your hand on her belly when she is sitting in the winding position on your knee and you diddle her you can feel the wind rattle in her belly - feels like liquid sloshing about.
Haha speaking of farts, wee Emily does fart like a wee trooper but her 1 year old big sister farts like an old man!!! 😂😂 She has no shame, even cocks her little leg, sometimes giving a little grunt which clearly helps 🙈😂😂😂 Not the best when she is out at the shops with us haha

FairyDust92 · 08/08/2019 21:46

@Squeakybubbles26 I know! It's so strange you worry about movements/kicks then when it's all over you miss it again! Yes hoping for some rain actually that will be nice! 😌 I can feel it is a lot cooler tonight, thank god. How's your LO wind now? Yes he grunts like a trooper! He also lets out one scream especially if he drops his dummy he lets out a scream just to let me know he's dropped it! 😂

@Bunnybaubles omg that's so sad, so sorry you experienced that. Can't imagine what you must have gone through ☹️. Oh I bet your 19 & 20 year olds love it! Nice age to babysit to! 😉. Yep I fell asleep before the night feed again, woke up to my little boy then woke my partner up ☺️. I don't think he'll do what he done last night again... HA

Squeakybubbles26 · 09/08/2019 03:03

@Bunnybaubles oh my you must of been exhausted! It's mad how we manage to plod through on very little sleep, fair play though! Touch wood it helps even a little, as a parent you never know what to do tho! However I have noticed over the last few days/week maybe LO is drinking as much as she would during her feeds! I increased to 4oz cos she was guzzling 3 down but now sometimes she only wants 1 - 3 oz per feed :( I wonder tho if it's related to taking these windy remedies! Going to monitor it over the next few days I recon! Ha your 1 year old lifting her leg to let it out, that's classic - embarrassing but funny tho! How do they know to do these things 😂😂 little ladies hey!

@FairyDust92 its def much cooler tonight 😁 mind you sounds like it's howling outside! It's blinking August! Wind has been ok today, thank god! Like I mentioned to @Bunnybaubles about the feeding tho, I'm worried she's not eating as much because of it. I really need to get her weighed! However just fed her then without the gripe and she brought up her wind lovely - it's the other end we struggle with sometimes! Ha, like having a teenager already "mummy my dummy ahh lol" sounds like me when I was pregnant mind! The amount of times I dropped a pen at work and then just started at it, and then give a co worker the puppy dog eyes and they'd pick it up hahah! Mind you actually being bump free it felt amazing being able to bend down again - without making then odd groan that is hahaha!

FairyDust92 · 09/08/2019 20:04

@Squeakybubbles26 hahaha, I know as soon as I had him and had a shower at the hospital I was like oh yeah that's what my vagina looks like 🙄. Did you constantly raid the cupboards after you've given birth or am I just a 🐷 this lasted about 3 weeks I was constantly hungry! Once my bleeding stopped it went a little bit. I stopped bleeding at 3 weeks but no signs of a period yet but keep feeling sick in the evening 🤨. Lasts about 10 minutes. When should I get my period again? I know he is a little teenager already!
Oh bless her, hows her wind been today? X

Squeakybubbles26 · 09/08/2019 22:27

@FairyDust92 haha 😂 I got excited that I could see my toes! Easily amused 😆 I did indulge a little mainly with chocolate and cakes 🙄😊 however I want to loose their weight quicker than last time (took me like 5 months before I got my butt into gear, being on mat leave was my excuse to 🐷 out!) don't beat yourself up tho, treat yourself it's tiring looking after a bubba! I just wish cakes and chocolate with calorie free and good for u :( same as me roughly my period stopped about 2-3 weeks! I can't remember when it came back with my first. I was quite regular from word go, so possibly about a month after I stopped (didn't get a break for long it felt!)
The wind has been soooo much better today and guess what I haven't used nothing!!! Maybe the little remedies weren't helping after all! Mind u this is only day one! How's your LO?
You never guess who phoned me today to come visit again ... the patronising HV 🙄😩
Send me cake now lol

FairyDust92 · 10/08/2019 06:07

@Squeakybubbles26 so glad to hear her wind is clearing up bless her! You know yourself when you have trapped wind it's bloody painful! Yeah I lost a stone in total in pregnancy. Only gained 4 pounds in pregnancy and when I weighed myself after I lost a stone but I think I put it back on now 😂. Oh god! Really! How comes she wants to come round again?! After my HV on Monday I won't see her again for a while I don't think? My LO is good thank you. He's just woke for his feed so got my partner up to do it 😂 I do it through out the week so it's his turn now. Plus he's booked a day of paintballing so he can definitely do the morning feed 😌

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/08/2019 01:32

@FairyDust92 my god you only gained 4lb! I think I gained that just looking at cake 🧁 in total I prob gained like 2.5 stone 🙄🙈 but I only have a stone to loose now to get back to pre birth weight - I sat glumly mind! how was your pregnancy? Apparently they want to do a 6 week check up (but she's away so will be 8 weeks)! Last time it felt she was checking up on DD1 a lot, prob making sure she's ok/not being neglected or something since LO came along! I do find in different counties tho they have different procedures/time scales it feels! Ha fair play waking your partner to do the morning feed, my partner sleeps in a different room (so he can sleep for work etc) but chooses to on the weekend to as he is so grumpy with a lack of sleep (and I can function much better than him without a decent sleep)! But he is good and will deal with DD1 if she wakes up in the night/am!

FairyDust92 · 11/08/2019 06:26

@Squeakybubbles26 least you don't have much to loose though! My pregnancy was lovely, such a breeze. I was very lucky. How was your pregnancy? Yeah I have noticed it is different in places which is bizarre. Oh that's fair enough though at least he helps! My LO went through from 9:30-5:30 😮🤗 x

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/08/2019 15:21

@FairyDust92 cor you've had it all very lucky, well compared to some! This pregnancy was worse compared to my first I had sickness 🤢 to begin with and just the usual seemed worse like the tiredness, back ache and being uncomfortable in general! And then developing OC at the end (however I felt fine in myself) it was all a drama! My gosh cherish the sleep! That's one placid boy! Does he still sleep well in the day? What date was your LO born?

FairyDust92 · 11/08/2019 15:47

@Squeakybubbles26 oh bless you! They're all worth it in the end though. He sleeps lovely through out the day tbh. Me and my partner love our sleep so think he just gets it from us. He was born on 6th July he was 5 weeks yesterday. How does your LO sleep? X

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/08/2019 19:04

@FairyDust92 oh yes they are, you kind of forget all the symptoms and even the pain from labour as they are so worth it 😍! Aw he's a good boy isn't he, mind you not that babies misbehave or anything! Aw your LB is 5 days older than DD2. There's me hoping she'll sleep through in a few days (fat chance) haha! To be fair it's a lot easier than the start and I can tolerate waking once/maybe twice in the night! DD2 sleeps well in the day too, she sleeps much better on one of us tho- which makes it very hard with DD1! But we get through :)

FairyDust92 · 11/08/2019 19:20

@Squeakybubbles26 I know you're a bit like, labour what labour our babies magically appeared here 🙄. Oh they're so close in age ☺️. You know I'm enjoying him being a good boy and sleeping at night but I'm constantly like so when is this going to change? 😂 oh second that getting up once or twice is fine especially if they go straight back to sleep aswell 😂. Don't they always though! You can spend hours holding your baby but sometimes you just got to get on with stuff 😂. Especially for you you have to split yourself in two for your babies 😂 x

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/08/2019 19:53

@FairyDust92 it's funny as well during it your like oh my this pain is unreal and now I'd happily do it again! Which I can assure you will not tho! It is cute, they won't be tiny for long tho! What age clothes is your LO in? You never know he may be a dream sleeper, just cherish it just incase! I found it hard going from sleeping through as DD1 and then having a newborn and having to wake up ahh but I've finally adapted! Oh yes and then you put them down and bam they wake up 😩 I normally sort DD1 out quickly (if possible) keeps her quiet! Or unless DD2 is having a melt down because her milk isn't coming quick enough then I may deal with her first! Lol! Would you like any more?x

rosyedith · 12/08/2019 11:47

Does anyone have any advice on getting baby to sleep at night? My LO is so unsettled most nights I find myself feeding him 2-3 times in a 8 hour period and would like to start dropping a feed soon but he just won't sleep!!

Squeakybubbles26 · 12/08/2019 13:54

@rosyedith how old is your LO? Is he unsettled with wind do you think?x

Mayjane5 · 12/08/2019 17:45

Oh wow ladies I haven’t been on here for a while!! My little one was born on 24th July by section, no complications. We are doing ok I think sleep is not too bad at the moment although I think that newborn bubble is going to pop now and other half back at work. We have been finding it harder to keep my other daughter occupied now it’s school holidays. I’m going to go back and catch up on all your posts I’m sure I’ve missed loads I hope you are all doing well and your little squishys are all great too xx

Squeakybubbles26 · 12/08/2019 21:19

@Mayjane5 congratulations on the birth of your LO! How you feeling? What did you have, weight etc :) x

Mayjane5 · 12/08/2019 22:59

@Squeakybubbles26 we had a boy 7lb 4, he has lots of hair!! Feeling ok now section still sore and numb but much better than a week ago, starting to feel myself, not weighed myself yet strange not having the pregnancy belly anymore, a bit sad as it was my last baby now that I’m older, so I’m treasuring all these baby cuddles and late nights as much as I can.

Squeakybubbles26 · 13/08/2019 02:56

@Mayjane5 that's a good birth weight! Aww DD2 has lots of hair too, which was a huge surprise as DD1 poor thing had very little! It's starting to thin out a bit now tho :( glad your starting to feel better! Is it just the 2 children you've got? How old is your DD? I bet she's loving having a baby bother! I feel your pain, this is our last too so feel I've got to enjoy these newborn cuddles as much as possible! However the nights well I won't miss them as much ;)

FairyDust92 · 13/08/2019 03:57

@Squeakybubbles26 oh bless them both! Does your 1 year old sleep through your baby waking up?
My LO is in first size, although he is slowly creeping in to his 0-3 clothes. What size is your LO in? Are there any shops you like for baby clothes the most?
Yes I would love more (not just yet though) 😂. Depending on what my little boy is like/if he is behaved 🤞🏼 then I'd probably start trying once he reaches a year +. I was very lucky and fell pregnant the first time we tried with my boy so I hope it stays the same.
He literally is a mini escape artist. He has swaddle me blankets and every night he manages to get his arms out 🤦🏻‍♀️

@rosyedith is your LO taking the whole bottle? If they are, maybe you can up the last feed? Sometimes if my LO has a feed at say about 10 I try to top him up at 12 with a dream feed but most of the time I fall asleep by then so it doesn't happen 😳

@Mayjane5 congratulations on your little boy ☺️

Squeakybubbles26 · 13/08/2019 21:18

@FairyDust92 DD1 (she's nearly 3) thankfully sleeps through most wake ups at night, luckily I'm getting DD2 sorted before she wails for a feed tho!

We're wearing some newborn and first size too! There's an odd few 0-3 months we're wearing just to get wear out the summer clothes! I love Mothercare clothes! They come up big which is good and makes them last longer but I keep them for kind of best/or smart days and they last really well too! I also like Asda clothing - perfect and cheap for nursery:)

I caught quicker 2nd time round that 1st time, but glad I did so didn't have wait and do the dreaded test each month and be disappointed.

Haha, already being a pickle :) DD2 isn't a fan of being swaddled, well she likes her arms free. So just wrap up her legs (attempt to)!
