Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

had my sweep this morning (due today!), got told I was 1-2cm dilated, she could feel the head/sac/etc, but that baby was lying wonky: bum on one side of me, legs on the other. Wasn't reassuring to be told labour could be 'long and difficult'!! Got told my cervix was still long, though.

Booked in for a second sweep on Tuesday, but they are really pushing an induction, which I'm trying to avoid: provisionally booked for Thursday (41 weeks).

Congrats to all! We're getting there.

@Bellaphant exciting! ☺️ hopefully you'll go into labour before then if you're already dilated 🤞🏼

My induction is booked for Monday - week 42. Second sweep booked for Saturday. Praying I beat induction!

@haleyhaystack, spent like 12 hours with regular cramps but they've vanished. Been on all fours, on the birthing ball, all sorts. Now just sore and uncomfy. How do you feel after yours?

Any more babies? 🥰

@Bellaphant I also had bad period pains last night from around 7pm. I convinced myself it was the start of labour, had a bath around 11pm and they disappeared 😩 feel so fed up now!!!!

@FairyDust92 That is good news. Always worth getting checked tho!

Looks like a few babies will be coming soon, so exciting!!!

My little boob monster has actually sucked me dry today so daddy is topping her up with formula. Not sure if she's been ravenous or I've got a shit milk supply 🤷‍♀️ 😂

@Bunnybaubles how's the bf going? I couldn't latch on with dd1 but dd2 is doing well however my nipples are very very sore. Any advice or recommendations? Mind you last night I had to formula feed I was shattered - hoping it would help her sleep too (wishful thinking a it djdnt lol)! X

Anyone else's baby sleep like 90% of the time? He would sleep throughout the night if I didn't wake him for feeds. Midwife and HV said thats fine as long as I'm waking him... 😕 he also doesn't cry I can count on one hand how many times he has cried in a week.....

@FairyDust92 I wish.. we seem to be more awake at night unfortunately 😩 however on day 3 hoping this may change soon (please let me sleep .. a little please)! And only really cry if we don't get fed quick enough! Sounds like you've got a lovely placid little boy 🙂

@rosyedith, lost my plug yesterday and today my contractions are super different - like im being crushed in the middle. Watching to see if they get regular.

@Squeakybubbles26 oh bless you 😦 you must be knackered! I just worry something is wrong he's too placid x

Ladies TMI maybe but how soon after you lost your plug did you go into labour x

@rosyedith with my first I think i lost my plug over a few days before I noticed any labour pains. My 2nd I was induced and lost my plug as my waters broke and gave birth like half hour later.

@FairyDust92 oh yes I'm shattered! Are you breast, combined or formula feeding? Doesn't help i feel weak due to low iron everything seems extra hassle! I want a night nanny 🙂 wishful thinking!

Ended up having a sweep today. Having cramps now on and off. I'm not getting my hopes up 🙄 induction booked for 3 days time. How is everyone?

@rosyedith hope things progress for you! It feels like it takes forever to get things going 😦. I can't believe my baby is 9 days old already!!

@FairyDust92 9 days already, wow that's flown by! How you feeling? All the baby stuff comes flooding back, including the lack of sleep! However I remember it does go just a quick :( x

@rosyedith, I have my second sweep booked for tomorrow! Did they say how dilated you were?

@Bellaphant only 1cm but I've been having cramps every 4 minutes for the past 2 hours. They're not very intense. I'm not getting my hopes up 😒

@Squeakybubbles26 I know they've literally flown by and my partner is back at work next week 😭. I'm feeling good though thank you. I've been really lucky so far not had painful boobs yet! I'm hoping I don't get them! How are you and littles ones? You feeling okay? ☺️ xx

@rosyedith, that's been my life for like...nine days. they never progress :(. yesterday was starting at 9am, became regular at 4ish, got quicker overnight and then died out about 7am. now i'm tired, grumpy and sore: my bump is all hurty and feeling bruised :( good luck!

@FairyDust92 I think I'd be lost without my partner at the mo, he's due back to work next week as well. I'm doing well apart from the tiredness, they also found out I had pre eclampsia after the birth and very low iron so I feel completely worn out! However each day is a new day and I can feel that I'm starting to feel better. Ah my boobs are so painful I was attempting bf but I think my latch was wrong, she was getting milk but my god now my poor nipples! I'm expressing now and combining with formula to keep her top up if needed! DD1 is good to and taking on her big sister roles (mummy's slave) very well! Has your DS still feel newborn or has he already changed a lot?xx

@Squeakybubbles26 I know, me too! It's the company which is nice too. Oh no you poor thing! You must felt so sore 😫. Oh no, lucky you had a healthy baby! How did they not pick up on the pre eclampsia? That's good you're starting to feel better! ☺️ take each day as it comes! Yeah he still feels like a newborn but he has changed so much! Not sure who he looked like then my partners nan sent pictures to us of when he was a baby. Safe to say my boy is 100% his dads double 😂. Oh bless your DD, I bet she loves her new sibling ☺️ xx
