Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

Hi all! Hope your all well, finally made it to induction day! Hopefully there's a bed, got to call this morning so find out! Have barely slept from being anxious and excited to meet our little girl! Not looking forward to the pain and the unknown of how long and when it's going to happen mind!

FairyDust92 · 10/07/2019 07:39

Good luck @Squeakybubbles26 hope you get called in today! 🤞🏼

Elliesmommy · 10/07/2019 08:13

35 + 5 today. Is anyone else absolutely exhausted ? I was up 4 times last night to go to the loo. Wake up at 7am exhausted. Do have a 3 and 1 year old also.

Squeakybubbles26 · 10/07/2019 09:02

@FairyDust92 got to go in for 1! Now the nerves are really kicking in! Doesn't help I'm already tired 😑 x

FairyDust92 · 10/07/2019 09:05

@Squeakybubbles26 ooo exciting! You could have your bubba today 🥰! Try and get as much rest as possible (easy to say!) 😂. You're gonna do great! It's so weird all the pain you go through and you don't really remember when your baby is here. I only had him Saturday and I barely remember the labour or the pain 😂😂

Squeakybubbles26 · 10/07/2019 10:32

@FairyDust92 I know it's mad, I don't know if inductions are quicker if you've had previous labours?! One hopes tho! How long did your induction take fully? xx

FairyDust92 · 10/07/2019 11:24

@Squeakybubbles26 apparently if you've already given birth before they're generally quicker. That's what the midwives told me and tbh the other ladies who were being induced and had babies before were having their babies on the same day/ next day! So I got induced on Wednesday went 3 rounds and cervix wasn't opening so that took me to Wednesday. Then on my last pessary on Thursday I had to wait 24 hrs to start another round again. That took me to Friday evening, I finally started to dilate even by my 2nd tab on 2nd round but they still applied the pessary in hopes it will help me dilate more. Fast forward to sat morning when j got examined and my waters broken 🥵. It was a long process but I'm so glad I went through with another round before I opted for c section. Once my waters were broken I dilated in 0-60 😂😂

FairyDust92 · 10/07/2019 11:25

Took me to Thursday **

rosyedith · 10/07/2019 11:25

Good luck @FairyDust92! X

rosyedith · 10/07/2019 16:28

Sorry I meant to say good luck to @Squeakybubbles26 🙈 let us know how it goes, I might have to be induced next week xx

Squeakybubbles26 · 10/07/2019 16:36

@rosyedith haha no worries and thanks! Had the pessary inserted about 1.45 and have felt the odd twinges but nothing major! the midwife did say when she felt my cervix she can feel baby and the waters so hopefully only one 24 hour pessary will be enough! One hopes!x

FairyDust92 · 10/07/2019 21:37

How you getting on @Squeakybubbles26?

Squeakybubbles26 · 10/07/2019 21:47

@FairyDust92 hurting and really uncomfortable however they said that could just be the pessary and not even contractions! Going to get monitored at 10ish. It already feels sore and tender down there :( x

FairyDust92 · 10/07/2019 23:09

@Squeakybubbles26 try to think positive! I felt exactly the same. Is it the start of contractions? 🤞🏼

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/07/2019 00:13

@FairyDust92 I'm contracting but they aren't consistent enough. Sometimes 5/6 times in 10 mins others only 3! Checked my cervix and only 1cm dilated ah x

FairyDust92 · 11/07/2019 00:16

@Squeakybubbles26 least you're 1cm! Ahhh your bubba could be here soon 🥰. Might not help you but as soon as I went on my knees I dilated from 3-10 in an hour. GET ON YOUR KNEES! 😂😂😂

qj17 · 11/07/2019 02:24

@Squeakybubbles26 don't be disheartened I also went from 3-10cm in 2 hours and 20 mins of pushing later she was here! Didn't even give me time to think about pain relief lol.

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/07/2019 03:04

@qj17 @FairyDust92 ah that's good to know nothing really much has happened since, not getting consistent pains, well if I am I'm able to sleep through it lol! Hopefully something will happen more in the morning, who knows lol x

FairyDust92 · 11/07/2019 08:36

@Squeakybubbles26 fingers crossed for you today! 🤞🏼

Squeakybubbles26 · 11/07/2019 10:48

@FairyDust92 thanks!
Well that was quick... 6am waters broke and 6cm dilated! Baby born at 6.45!

Bunnybaubles · 11/07/2019 12:12

Aww congratulations @Squeakybubbles26 🥳 Wow that was quick! The squishy cuddles are the best reward for all the stress and pain!!

I got home from hospital on Monday but got sent back in by the midwife yesterday ☹ My blood pressure was really high and blood tests showed pre-eclampsia got worse. They've adjusted my medication and I'm getting out today... for good this time! Doctor promised to treat me as an out patient next time. My 1 year old has been distraught her mummy has gone away 🥺 I'm glad this was my last baby , I take it back, I don't want all the drama anymore 😂

FairyDust92 · 11/07/2019 12:25

Congratulations @Squeakybubbles26 🥰 did you have a boy or girl?

@Bunnybaubles oh no! I hope you feel better soon and your little girl gets mummy back 😫

Found a few lumps in my boobs 😭 I'm not breast feeding but automatically thinking the worse 😭 getting checked by midwife later but worried has no boob pain since birth and the lumps are so big 😭😭😭

Bunnybaubles · 11/07/2019 13:19

@FairyDust92 could they be your milk ducts? They fill up after baby is born and feels like hard lumps in the breast tissue. Hopefully it's nothing

qj17 · 11/07/2019 14:48

@Squeakybubbles26 congrats girl!

FairyDust92 · 11/07/2019 16:02

@Bunnybaubles yeah it is milk ducts, phew! 🤞🏼
