Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

@FairyDust92 oh no that doesn't sound fun! Is your partner with you? I'm gonna have to do the induction part alone so partner can be with our DD! x

Hi everyone, how many days past ovulation did everyone take a pregnancy test? (If you were ttc) trying to hold off as I think 8dpo is to early? Thanks!

Hi @AmyMaria2 I think I tested 2 weeks later, on the first day period was due. The test said ‘positive 2-3 weeks’. Maybe leave it a little longer. Good luck!

@FairyDust92 ah I'm sure my mum would keep me company actually, however not sure if that's a good or bad idea lol 😂 x

@Squeakybubbles26 hahah! Still having very bad contractions had some morphine but my cervix just isn't dilating it's been nearly 12 hours I feel exhausted now 🥵

@FairyDust92 omg that sounds awful! Is this your first pregnancy? How far gone are you?xx

I had baby on July 1st at 00.18. Am I the first July baby? 4 weeks early. A beautiful little lady named Olivia 👸👸👸

@Squeakybubbles26 yes first baby 38+1 still not dilated getting pretty fed up now! So painful just tried the gel and if this doesn't work they want to try all 3 again but I'm not going to. I had to have gas an air just for the examination it's so painful 😭

@FairyDust92 sounds like your having a rough ride! Have they suggested the drip? Would you be able to have a break/sleep tonight or would the pain still be there? I'm not looking forward to this ah x

Hi ladies congrats to mums who have had their babies already :) I was due on the 24th July but got told today I'm being induced on Saturday as she's been consistently small throughout pregnancy. Haven't packed or done a birth plan yet lol!

@Squeakybubbles26 being trying to rest where I can but pains wake me up. It's just disheartening when you think the pains are some form of contraction but don't think they are. My cervix just isn't dilating. They will check again at 2am but I don't have much hope for it tbh then if I haven't dilated I get moved to an antenatal ward and have to wait for the doctors for the morning. I won't suggest doing all these 3 again I've been doing it for 24hrs and absolutely exhausted. I might just have to give into a c section tbh. Don't see much else they can do.

@FairyDust92 fingers crossed something happens over the next few hours and brings on labour for you! It will be worth it in the end ! Do you kno what your having xx

I'm so angry with my treatment at this hospital. Currently shoved on to an antenatal ward in horrendous pain and offered a paracetamol as I'm not allowed anything else 🤨. Partner and mum told to go home when was originally told one could always stay with me as there was enough room. Had the gel for the final part and she came round about 2 hours later and said she isn't going to examine me at 1:30am as there is no point as I wouldn't have dilated. I asked well what was the point in applying the gel then if I'm not going to get examined to see if I have dilated and she didn't answer a thing. She's such a horrible midwife. Just feel so upset and alone, I actually can't stop crying. Maybe I'm just being a softie but this whole experience has been a nightmare. To top of off she said we will assess you again at 7pm tomorrow. TOMORROW. I'm in fucking agony

@FairyDust92 the hospital sounds horrendous! What county are you in? Some midwives need people skills where as others are so lovely! I can't believe the are leaving you til 7pm tomorrow!! What are you meant to do until then? I'd be exactly like you, especially if I was on my own :( hopefully you'll be assigned a new midwife tomorrow, different shifts etc and they'll take better care of you! The surprise will be all worth it in the end ... I promise ... we found out and are having another daughter! However I am not prepared for this induction malarkey! And can't sleep 😢

@FairyDust92 I’m so sorry this is happening. Can you ask to be discharged or can you discharge yourself? If nothing is going to be checked for over 12 hours then why should you stay on the ward? You have a right to request a new MW by the way, your partner can ask for you if you are not comfortable too.

@Squeakybubbles26 congratulations! 😊 hope you get some better sleep soon! When are you being induced?

@HayleyHaystack I didn't realise I could request a new one. Shame cos some of them are so lovely but atm I've noticed that night midwives are the worst! I can't go home because I've had the pessary 😫. I don't want to discharge myself incase the baby becomes distressed. I just want my baby and want to go home :(

@FairyDust92 meant to be induced on Wednesday! However had bloods taken yesterday and if they aren't happy they may induce me before! Sleep what's sleep! I've struggled more with sleep this time round but having a 2 year old wake up ready to start the day - when your not - isn't fun!!!! Ah! Hopefully by the end of today you'll have baby in your arms xx

Oh my it’s all going on this week. @Loujonesy congratulations first July baby I think hope you are all doing well x @FairyDust92 I hope you get a better midwife in the morning hopefully get some sleep too xx @Squeakybubbles26 are you waiting on the icp bloods again? I’m so annoyed had them taken on Monday and phoned back today as not heard anything and they told me they didn’t do the tests so have to go back in, it’s a worry as I’m almost 37 weeks if the levels are raised

Just a quick update. Thanks guys for replying. Back on the induction ward now. 2nd round just had first pessary midwife was lovely but she's changed over now but this midwife also seems lovely (thank goodness!) had bishops score of 1-3 yesterday and have a score of 4 today so fingers and toes crossed. Midwife also said she could get tip into cervix now so hoping my cervix starts opening up or I can get to at least 7 on bishops score so they can break my waters 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@Mayjane5 that's so bad, they literally took my bloods when I thought I had it and called me back 3 hours later confirming I did! I have to have weekly blood tests to monitor my bile acids etc. Can't believe they are leaving you like this, like you said your 37 weeks of you did have it they'll prob induce you now surely?

@Squeakybubbles26 pain on and off throughout the whole day. In the last hour pains seem to have intensified but trying not to get my hopes up as last time I didn't even dilate 😫. How are you feeling?

@Squeakybubbles26 yep that’s the problem isn’t it they recommend delivery now if numbers are raised, I’ll see what they say in the morning if it can be done quicker

@FairyDust92 that's a good sign tho, least your heading in the right direction! I'm not to bad thanks, far to hot tonight and can't sleep! Think I ate to much for tea as well as so uncomfortable 😣
