Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

One more day until due date. Was offered a sweep today but I declined - willl see how this week goes and will be offered another one next Monday if it gets to it Smile

FairyDust92 · 01/07/2019 23:09

@Mayjane5 yeah of course. I know I'm hoping I'll be a few hours or am I being unrealistic and living in a dream world 😂😂

Mayjane5 · 02/07/2019 07:52

@FairyDust92 you never know though some people do have quick labours ☺️

Bunnybaubles · 02/07/2019 09:08

@Bellaphant Aww haha dont worry too much, scans are so unreliable predicting baby's weight. Thats what I'm telling myself 😂 I gave up trying to get comfy in bed, everytime I lie down I swear my baby slips out of head down into transverse position lol.

@Mayjane5 I'm potentially getting induced this week.

Spent the afternoon in hospital yesterday having my BP profile done. 2+ protein again, swollen ankles and hands and headaches so doctor said "oh I think we'll just induce you tomorrow".

I 💩 myself and realised I'm not ready, dont even have hospital bags sorted, house sorted, need to finish decorating my 1 year old's bedroom 😱😱😱 So I suggested we wait till the end of the week 😂

I'm now being monitored day to day and back at hospital on Wednesday to see the doctor again. Eeeeeeek baby is definitely coming this week!! 😱😆

@FairyDust92 Wow 4 days!! Hopefully you'll be the exception. My labours are usually 24 hours-ish. I'm tempted to get the epidural just so I can finally get a good sleep!

FairyDust92 · 02/07/2019 09:24

@Bunnybaubles oh bless you! Oh wow! Hopefully mine will be 24 hrs or less! This heat is going to be a problem! Oh no, have you had trouble sleeping? I've been so fortunate I've never had a problem with sleep throughout my pregnancy, I'm aware I'm very lucky and it doesn't happen to most!

Bunnybaubles · 03/07/2019 12:19

Goodluck today! @FairyDust92 You'll do great and get to cuddle your beautiful baby at the end 💗

FairyDust92 · 03/07/2019 12:22

@Bunnybaubles thank you! 😊 not had a call yet so need to phone as they mentioned to call after midday if I haven't received a phone call 🤞🏼

rosyedith · 03/07/2019 13:52

Anyone else feeling a little less movement now? I'm 37 wks still feeling baby every day but not as strong Hope this is normal ..

FairyDust92 · 03/07/2019 14:13

@rosyedith go and get checked out just to be sure. I had a panic when I didn't feel baby's movements were as strong, they'd always rather you get checked out x

rosyedith · 03/07/2019 14:27

@FairyDust92 but I still feel loads of movement just not as physically strong. I've read this is due to them not having much room...

Mayjane5 · 03/07/2019 18:25

@rosyedith if movements have changed I would definitely go in and get checked out, chances are baby has just moved x

Bunnybaubles · 03/07/2019 18:34

@rosyedith I was in a couple of times getting checked for the same thing. Although it can be normal it is still always best to get checked.

@FairyDust92 Eeeeeeek!! I'm getting induced today too 😱

My blood pressure profile was horrific, 180/121 lol. Everyone was looking at me like I should be having a stroke 😂 I've been given enough medication to bring it down enough that they've let me home to get everything I need, and I'm booked it at 8 tonight to get induced with .... a balloon??? That's new on me and this is my 4th 😂 If anyone has heard of this please let me know 😂

rosyedith · 03/07/2019 18:46

Baby has moved loads since I posted. I even saw a limb 😂 typical! But thanks everyone x

FairyDust92 · 03/07/2019 18:50

@Bunnybaubles good luck to you! Currently just had my first pessary, that hurt 🤬

Mayjane5 · 03/07/2019 19:25

Ooh good luck @FairyDust92 and @Bunnybaubles hope it goes well I didn’t have the balloon previously just a drip I think. @rosyedith typical isn’t it everytime im thinking he’s not moved he then starts to wriggle ☺️ x

Squeakybubbles26 · 03/07/2019 19:35

Good luck @FairyDust92 and @Bunnybaubles hope the inductions go smoothly for you!
I'm being infused next Weds (kind of hoping to go into natural labour before)! So any advice or what to expect would be great :) can't wait to hear about the exciting news of babies in the forum! 😁👶🏻

Squeakybubbles26 · 03/07/2019 19:35

Infused / induced which ever is more comfortable obviously ;)

FairyDust92 · 03/07/2019 19:39

Thank you 😊

Jummynbean · 03/07/2019 20:02

So exciting guys! Not due till the 17th and no signs as of yet, got a growth scan tomoz X wonder what they will say!

Bunnybaubles · 03/07/2019 23:51

@Squeakybubbles26 I definitely think I'd prefer to be infused 😂

Turns out I dont need to be induced, the sweep I had at lunch time has started contractions and I'm now 2cm's dilated. I dont need the balloon at all, just waiting for a labour suite to become available so they can break my waters! OMG what a difference it is having contractions by going into labour naturally over being induced!
Last year when I got the pessary, by the time I reached 2cm's dilated I was begging for pain relief. This time the pain is just a little meh! Much more pleasant experience 😃 Although I am looking forward to the morphine and gas and air 😉

@FairyDust92 Thinking of you, I hope you're pessary has worked and you're well on your way 😊

Bellaphant · 04/07/2019 03:49

Good luck girls!

Squeakybubbles26 · 04/07/2019 06:34

@Bunnybaubles I'm hoping I can just have a sweep to get the ball rolling too! How can I help my cervix be ready for this haha! Got midwife today, hopefully baby is fully engaged! I love the way I'm saying this like I'm in control! I'm in no control at all 😢

@FairyDust92 hope the pessary has done the trick for you :)

FairyDust92 · 04/07/2019 07:29

First pessary brought on mild contractions but just had my second pessary and contractions are getting slightly more intense. Cervix by baby's head is still closed 😫😫😫

rosyedith · 04/07/2019 08:05

Good luck girls x

FairyDust92 · 04/07/2019 08:43

Thank you. Not even dilated yet 🥵 this is not fun 😂
