Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

@Mayjane5 Natural birth is so much nicer. For me, by the time the contractions got strong it was time to push. But then again, I've not really had a bad induction either. Ironically tho the only time my waters broke by themselves was my induction last year. Was lying on the hospital bed and felt a little pop inside me followed by little gushes of water. The other 2 times they were popped by the midwife with her big long stick with a hook on the end Grin

@Bellaphant OMG I totally sympathise with the no sleeping!! I'm up every 15 minutes either running to the toilet or having to stand up because of stomach cramps!! You know you're f@#ked when your 12ft pregnancy pillow no longer helps 😂 I'm glad I'm being induced early, I feel for every one of you who have to see it through to the bitter bitter end!! 😱

@Squeakybubbles26 I had mild ICP in my last pregnancy. My levels were borderline so I was just monitored closely. But I ended up being induced at 36 weeks for pre-eclampsia. Dont listen to all the horror stories about induction. I've been induced twice. 1st time was bad because I stupidly refused an epidural. 1 was 17 and never had a clue. Once I agreed to have it the rest of the labour was fine, I was induced because I was over 42 weeks. My second induction last year was a breeze too. Got the pessary in at 9am and was having regular strong contractions every minute apart by 6pm. Waters broke next morning at 7am then after being taken to the labour suite I had morphine, gas and air and an epidural. I fell asleep and woke up at 5pm to be told I can push. 3 pushes and she was out Grin

@Squeakybubbles26 oh poor you I had icp with my first, induced at 38 weeks. It’s awful isn’t it, I’m worried I will get it again every little itch is worrying, my palms itched the other night so will see if it continues, I know it can appear at anytime so I’m quite anxious. My induction was ok she just got stuck at the end but I think that was due to position ended up with a section.

Squeakybubbles26 · 22/06/2019 17:29

Thanks @Bunnybaubles you see all these horror stories and the dr didn't have much time to go through any of it with me (was very busy there) hopefully my midwife will enlighten me more when I see/speak to her!

@Mayjane5 I didn't realise it was that common (well 2 people on this chat alone having it previously says something) I would never of known if didn't dr google the symptoms! Glad I did now!! The scratching is a pain and the problem is the cream just makes me sweat which doesn't help! How far gone are you?

FairyDust92 · 22/06/2019 18:45

Pain has subsided, odd twinge today here and there! Horrid heartburn which has come back 🥴. Baby has definitely moved further down 👍🏻. Anyone else find it fascinating if you lay down/ try to sit up you can see baby's outline looks like a little bump in the road 😂

Mayjane5 · 22/06/2019 20:17

@Squeakybubbles26 I think it’s more common than they say a lot of people just think it’s a normal pregnancy thing. I’m almost 35 weeks had it around 32 last time but it can appear very quickly at any time, did they give you Urso to take? Itchy moms/icp care on Facebook is a very good group for questions.

Mayjane5 · 22/06/2019 20:19

@Bunnybaubles so maybe it won’t be as bad as I think, I’m considering booking in the section then if it happens naturally before will be happy with that.

Mayjane5 · 22/06/2019 20:21

@FairyDust92 yes heartburn bad here too, I’ve found the gaviscon liquid sachets handy the keep beside bed and now having to take them during the day. So strange seeing baby shapes ☺️

FairyDust92 · 22/06/2019 20:35

@Mayjane5 I haven't taken anything for mine 😳 I haven't even taken paracetamol, I'm crazy. The midwife always reassures me it's fine along with everyone else I'm just just crazy 😂

Mayjane5 · 22/06/2019 20:40

@FairyDust92 you should have been prescribed urso if you have a diagnosis of icp. It’s to protect the baby from the bile acids, I would contact your maternity unit at the hospital and get it asap. It can be quite serious if not controlled and monitored. Are the doing tests each week to check levels? Don’t want to panic you but please get a second opinion if midwife not doing anything x

Mayjane5 · 22/06/2019 20:45

@FairyDust92 a big oops 😬 I got you mixed up with @Squeakybubbles26 ☺️ Pregnancy brain already. You meant the heartburn yes try gaviscon the mint one is not so bad and I think definitely stops it at night

FairyDust92 · 22/06/2019 21:45

@Mayjane5 I got panicked then 😓

Mayjane5 · 22/06/2019 21:52

@FairyDust92 oh my god I realised straight away and I don’t think there’s a delete button, I got the conversations mixed up, I’m sorry x

FairyDust92 · 22/06/2019 22:42

@Mayjane5 no problem 😊 x

Squeakybubbles26 · 23/06/2019 07:06

@Mayjane5 I never heard of it before until now. All I done was research dark urine (which I was concerned about) and then it said about an itch and low and behold here we are! Glad they took me seriously tho, as I hear some people get fobbed off. I've got some sore of tablet to take to help with the bile acid, not sure if it's called urso tho.

Mayjane5 · 23/06/2019 18:59

@Squeakybubbles26 yes it’s easy to see how it can be missed. I think the medication had a long name but urso for short, good you have a midwife that knows about it

Jummynbean · 25/06/2019 18:57

Wow so much to catch up On! How is everyone xx

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/06/2019 19:24

@Jummynbean in a few words "I just wanna give birth now" ahhh! Feeling tired is an understatement! How about u x

Bellaphant · 25/06/2019 19:38

Omg me too. Hours of pain and then it goes awaaaaay

Jummynbean · 25/06/2019 20:00

I'm in a pregnancy limbo, don't want to be pregnant but don't want to give birth 😂

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/06/2019 20:02

Actually not looking forward to the birthing part, however really want to meet her and get the ball rolling to say the least x

rosyedith · 25/06/2019 20:15

36+3 and I'm ready!! Just want to know if I have a pink or blue baby! ❤️ Getting period pains every day is that normal?? X

Bunnybaubles · 25/06/2019 20:51

I'm looking forward to the birth Grin It's my last baby, so last time I'll experience the drama and the emotion Grin

I'm also done being pregnant, feel like I'm always in pain! And never slept at all last night, again so I'm shattered.

I'm still getting mixed messages from different people whether I'm getting induced next week. My blood pressure was at stroke level today so I'm hoping that'll push the consultants more towards giving me a date when I see them on Thursday 🤞

Bunnybaubles · 25/06/2019 20:55

@rosyedith oooh sounds like you're close! My labour last year started out feeling like period pain. That's what I'm looking out for this time too. Had it in my back all afternoon but it's gone now x

Loujonesy · 25/06/2019 21:06

Are people still at work? I'm due in just over 4 weeks but still working at mo. Struggling with rib pain and mainly acid reflux. Don't want to be pregnant but getting worried about the labour now x 🤦‍♀️

Jummynbean · 25/06/2019 21:14

@Loujonesy yeah I'm still working, last day on the 5th x
