@CobaltRose96 I'm glad you don't feel too bad but I've now got visions of a heavily pregnant woman sitting on the kitchen floor scrubbing tins of beans and the biscuit tin 😂😂 hopefully baby comes soon!

canonlyhopexo · 10/03/2019 10:43

@sunshine1987 really strange! It's a blink and you miss it type feeling. I always think it's just my T-shirt tickling or something as it just feels so soft but nope definitely baby! 😍 x

CobaltRose96 · 10/03/2019 10:49

Lol @canonlyhopexo it's probably even funnier than you imagined it! Grin Partner is offering to help and I'm like 'NOO! Don't you dare!' Grin

EltzBee · 10/03/2019 10:58

@Crossfitgirl we popped to IKEA yesterday as well spookily, we weren't impressed with their nursery range as it all seemed really flimsy and they didn't have cot beds or any smaller cribs. Mothercare has a much nicer solid selection!

@canonlyhopexo I picked up the first one a couple weeks ago, there wasn't as much as I thought tbh, a sample of breast pads, some non bio Vanish and a new born baby lotion along with leaflets and some vouchers.

@sunshine1987 ah that's so exciting!

@CobaltRose96 oh bless you my book recommends scrubbing floor by hand too. Baby will come when ready though... Probably at the least convenient moment though!! 😂

Told the MIL yesterday and she was very excited. Still not telling others people yet though lol maybe after our scan next week!

Morning all, just recovering from two crazy days and the post event lull - does anyone else get this? When you've been prepping for something for so long and just feel so down after it's finished, I had it after my wedding, it feels kinda the same. Just not sure what's next, I know there's an obvious answer with baby, but I mean in context of dog training and what we want to aim for now.

Adding in:

@CobaltRose96 9th March
@ChaosMoon 7th April
@Delilah7 12th July 💙
@RanchoRelaxo 15th July ❤️
@MrsC87 16th July 💙
@mrsof20118 31st July
@sullywifey 4th August
@sunshine1987 4th August
@canonlyhopexo 9th August

@EltzBee 30th August
@GemmaJen 13th September
@stormtrooperjulian 25th September
@AngeloMysterioso 27th October
@thumper59 4th November

Exciting times @CobaltRose96, does it feel like baby is imminent?

CobaltRose96 · 10/03/2019 11:20

@GemmaJen, honestly? Nope 🙈 Then again I know a few people who had no signs and then BAM, contractions started suddenly and baby wasn't far behind. Hoping that's the case for me! Grin

EltzBee · 10/03/2019 12:53

@GemmaJen hope it went ok at Crufts and and the dogs did you proud! Totally know what you mean about that feeling after a big event.

@CobaltRose96 hopefully won't be too long!

I'm going to attempt to start a sourdough starter today, wish me luck...!

canonlyhopexo · 10/03/2019 14:58

@EltzBee glad MIL was excited for you. Do you feel better now she knows!? I'm going to grab the packs anyway and can always pass on any bits I won't use. Can't say no to freebies!
@GemmaJen I know what you mean about event come down. It's exhausting! At least you've got lots of baby plans you can make now!

I'm having a really weird, extra hormonal day today. I'm very very tired and feel quite uncomfortable in my back and nauseous. DP has gone off out to watch the football and grab some food with his best mate. Usually wouldn't fuss me one but I just felt like crying and wanted him to stay at home and cuddle me!! Such a drip. Obviously I waved him off and didn't tell him that or he'd feel awful. Anyone else get like this or am I the only one!?

EltzBee · 10/03/2019 15:38

@canonlyhopexo yeah sort of! Haha oh I'm the same I love a freebie 😂

Bless you, yes I've had some days like that for no particular reason - I just put it down to hormones! I'm having a lazy day today and DH has also gone out with friends. Pop your feet up, look after yourself today hun.

Hi everyone - sorry I'm so sporadic in posting. 38 + 5 today and due 19th March. Baby VERY active these last couple of days, like a cat inside a pillow case!!
No sign of her wanting to come out though. No show or anything.
Hope you're feeling okay @CobaltRose96 and your baby comes soon - is it your first? sorry cant remember!

We've gone for the pebble plus car seat with isofix/I-size base as seemed the safest. Hoping to then go to the axkid minikod that rear faces until 6 years old/25kg when baby outgrows the pebble plus. Car seats are so complicated - I agonised for weeks over what to choose!

We've also ordered the uppababy vista pram but not been delivered yet due to a supply issue. They are hoping for next week - let's see what comes first - pram or baby! Place your bets!!

sunshine1987 · 10/03/2019 17:45

@luckykitty13 that’s the pram I’m going for, everywhere seems to be low in stock or out of stock at the moment. Hopefully comes quickly for you so you don’t have to worry about that xx

EltzBee · 11/03/2019 09:50

@LuckyKitty13 ooh not long to go then - I really hope the pram arrives soon :o how long has it been on order for? Eek!!!

I think I'll have to add the uppababy pram to the list to look at, along with the iCandy Peach which I've heard good things about. At the moment of the ones we've 'tried' in the shop we like the Cosatto Giggle 2 and the Egg Quail (although this one is really pricey!). I like how light weight the Giggle is and it specifically says it'll fit into a Fiat 500 which is our smaller car so on my list to check! lol

@CobaltRose96 how are you feeling today hun - is it 40+2 or 3 today? (assuming little one hasn't arrived overnight!). Hope DH hasn't offered to help clean the floor again ;) lol

OP posts:
CobaltRose96 · 11/03/2019 10:00

Hi all! I'm 40+2 today, no sign of baby yet (although TMI but I did have loose stools earlier?). @LuckyKitty13, yup, this is my first. Exciting yet terrifying Grin

LuckyKitty13 · 11/03/2019 10:18

The uppababy is not small - not sure if will fit in your fiat 500. But I think it's a brilliant high quality pram - suits our needs of large off road tires, large basket, high position for baby and parent facing (can turn world facing too). We have a large estate car so can fit okay. It was a choice between that and the icandy orange. It's been on order since December if you can believe it!

EltzBee · 11/03/2019 10:39

@CobaltRose96 that could be a sign, don't they say your body starts to prepare for birth by having a good clear out Number 2 wise! lol.

@LuckyKitty13 ah useful to know; our other car is an A Class so has a really good sized boot, the 500 boot to be fair isn't tiny but some of the prams look huge. Research will involve two trips to Mothercare I think to try prams and car seats in both cars :D

OP posts:
sunshine1987 · 11/03/2019 11:10

@eltzbee would say same size as icandy peach but it’s quite a big pram. It’s amazing on all terrain though which I think is why it’s bigger than others xx

EltzBee · 11/03/2019 11:12

@sunshine1987 thanks that's handy to know; iCandy have a video on youtube showing how to get the Peach into a 500 which doesn't look too hard, involves taking the wheels off. I think most the time we'll use the other car, but if I'm just popping to town I prefer to take the smaller car for ease of parking :)

Tetris practice time :D

OP posts:
sunshine1987 · 11/03/2019 11:20

Haha @eltzbee we measured our boot then looked through the YouTube videos/dimensions and worked out how to get it into our boot that way. Would say if you’re torn between icandy and uppababy at some point the icandy peach one of my friends has and it’s really not that great on uneven tracks when we go for walks xx

LuckyKitty13 · 11/03/2019 12:31

I agree - the uppababy seemed to have much better suspension eg off road or up curbs etc

AngeloMysterioso · 11/03/2019 15:40

Hi ladies

Well I took myself to the EPU today as I was having some really quite red spotting again and some rather alarming pains in my lower abdomen which I thought was the start of a MC... but had a scan and all is well. Bean has had a little growth spurt and is measuring 7+4 and had a lovely little fluttery heartbeat. I've got a corpus luteum in my left ovary which they said could be causing the pain but otherwise everything looks fine and I just need to chill the fuck out try not to worry so much!

MrsC87 · 11/03/2019 16:09

Fab @AngeloMysterioso so pleased for you 😘 xx

mrsof20118 · 11/03/2019 16:21

@EltzBee I did see some reviews somewhere on prams and fiat 500s. I picked out a bugaboo chameleon and apparently does fit. Since upgraded to a 500x though as my flat was quite old. X

mrsof20118 · 11/03/2019 16:24

@AngeloMysterioso that's great news. Look at that little baby!

EltzBee · 11/03/2019 17:15

@AngeloMysterioso that's good news now pop your feet up hun and look after yourself xx

@mrsof20118 oh interesting! I keep googling to see which ones I can find mentioned lol.

Saturday for our gender scan feels like ages away! I keep looking at my 12 week scan for "clues" 🤣🤭🙈
