Thanks ladies; been seen by the midwife and little Bean just seems to be being a little rascal and hiding, she even didn't want to co-operate position wise for the midwife. But midwife said all is fine, and better to be safe than sorry. I definitely have a naughty little Bean in there; she's still hiding but knowing the midwife has felt her and heard her and she's fine I'm not panicking now.

Mind you I say that and now I have just felt a kick as I write this :) I've realised just how much I do feel them even if it's faint and not as much as some ladies as the placenta is at the front, but I know what is 'normal' for me. I'm used to my little wriggler saying hello thoughout the day.

Hi ladies, happy Saturday! Anyone up to much this weekend?

Had a weird day at work yesterday, my manager has somehow twigged that I'm pregnant! Not sure how really, do some people just Know?! She's very supportive, especially because of what happened before and won't tell anyone else. Still a bit weird though!

Tropicana1 · 12/05/2019 14:37

Hey @Fivebyfive2 how are you feeling? I've had some very strange stretchy type cramps today - not sure if that's my uterus stretching?!
Ah how do some people guess?! Someone at work asked me if I was pregnant literally the day after my first FRER. I'm a terrible liar so she probably saw right through me I was just so shocked 😂

Fivebyfive2 · 12/05/2019 16:04

@Tropicana1, I know right?! It's like a 6th sense maybe?? How are doing now you're home? Hope you're feeling OK xx I'm good, have had some twinges but nothing painful. How's your appetite? I cannot stop eating!! Had some queasyness but no sickness... Yet!

MrsR16 · 12/05/2019 22:36

@Fivebyfive2 hello lovely! I've been home about 2 hours from a full on weekend volunteering with teenagers! Think I've overdone it... had spotting on and off throughout the weekend 😕 only gotta wait till Wednesday! I'm off work tomorrow (and will spend it relaxing after this weekend) and then I've only got 24 hours to go to see someone! Bring it on... how fat gone are you at the moment? Xx

MrsR16 · 12/05/2019 22:36

@Fivebyfive2 omg... *far! Definitely not fat!

Fivebyfive2 · 13/05/2019 07:55

@MrsR16, definitely spend today relaxing!! Hope all is OK and I'm glad they're seeing you quite quickly. How are you feeling? Xx

I'm 5 only 5 weeks but had my first tiny bit of sickness this morning. Have been feeling queasy for a few days, but think mother in laws cooking pushed me over the edge 😜 Hoping it's a good sign for me, as I never had any sickness before and was told 5/6 weeks was when my last pregnancy stopped developing. But we're Not Thinking about what happened before, staying positive! Ha ha I proper laughed at the fat question though!! I'm actually getting a belly, I think it is the bloating because it comes and goes. Xx

Fivebyfive2 · 13/05/2019 08:10

Just wanted to add, I know that having no symptoms does not mean there is a problem, my mum never had any with me or my bro. It just helps me focus on the the fact that this is a totally new pregnancy; different sperm, different egg, hopefully different result! Xx

MrsR16 · 13/05/2019 11:02

@Fivebyfive2 I'm doing alright today 😘 I'm glad you're feeling better about the whole pregnancy! I keep having waves of nausea - went past a nail bar today and that smell made me feel awful!! I'm really suffering with bloating... I'm surprised no-one's said anything yet! I'm normally so little, but feeling like a beached whale by the end of the day! 😂 you've gotta be positive! All the odds are totally in your favour xxx

EltzBee · 13/05/2019 12:15

Morning ladies.

@Fivebyfive2 My sickness started about 6 weeks, hopefully it doesn't get too bad for you. Try and get some food in to yourself first thing in the morning - I used to keep cream crackers in my bedside table, weirdly with pregnancy sickness, food helps with the nausea (just find something you can stomach eating).

@Tropicana1 yes the stretching does feel weird, it's from your body starting to stretch (it happens quite early!) and continues throughout the pregnancy :) sometimes it almost feels a bit like cramps but is totally normal.

@MrsR16 hope you can get some time to relax today from a busy weekend!

One of my colleagues asked me really on and I just lied; I was so sick. Nobody else really guessed though - we didn't announce til 17 weeks and everyone was pretty surprised! I think we're all more aware of the bloating and our bodies changing and tbh most other people don't pay that much attention really. My boobs went up two sizes and two cup sizes by 12 weeks :o my old bras were agony! I highly recommend going and getting fitted at M&S for their really comfy non-wired bras after 12 weeks. You won't need maternity bras (as your boobs will probably change again in the run up to giving birth), but non-wired is much better when you're pregnant :)

I had some blood tests done last Thursday after I'd nearly fainted again the week before (took a week to get bloods done); rang up Friday to get the results and was told the Dr wanted to speak to me as something wasn't in the 'normal' range, and was told it'd be 3 to 4 weeks! I was given an appointment for this coming Thursday, but rang up again this morning after more breathlessness/heart beating like crazy/feeling light headed over the weekend again and thankfully this time the receptionist was more understanding and managed to get me a call today. Turns out my iron is on the lower side - which I'm not surprised about, as I've had B12 and Iron anemia before and used to take much more of it, but was told not to whilst pregnant (despite me explaining multiple times my concerns in not taking extra I was ignored). So now my levels have gone low again so on to the iron tablets. Not looking forward to them as they usually make my digestive system go crazy but anything to stop me nearly fainting and getting out of breath just going up the stairs with my heart trying to jump out! Just wish they'd listened to me before when I flagged this - I know my own body!

Hey @EltzBee goodness, you sound like you're having all sorts of fun! 😕 it's not helpful when the medical professionals forget that we're the expert on ourselves! I'm glad it's getting sorted now for you xx

EltzBee · 13/05/2019 15:21

@MrsR16 oh yes!! The first 4 months were so rough, I've honestly never felt so awful in my life. My sickness finally went at 21 weeks, I'm 24+3 today and haven't been sick since 21+1 (touch wood it stays away!!!).

Definitely I think a lot of the time they seem to think we're making a fuss or being difficult, and forget that we know our own experience and have to live with our bodies every day so we do know a small smidge about what happens with them. Always trust your instincts is the lesson learnt!

How are you doing today, hope you've been able to get some time to chill out today, did your spotting stop @MrsR16?
