Morning ladies.
@Fivebyfive2 My sickness started about 6 weeks, hopefully it doesn't get too bad for you. Try and get some food in to yourself first thing in the morning - I used to keep cream crackers in my bedside table, weirdly with pregnancy sickness, food helps with the nausea (just find something you can stomach eating).
@Tropicana1 yes the stretching does feel weird, it's from your body starting to stretch (it happens quite early!) and continues throughout the pregnancy :) sometimes it almost feels a bit like cramps but is totally normal.
@MrsR16 hope you can get some time to relax today from a busy weekend!
One of my colleagues asked me really on and I just lied; I was so sick. Nobody else really guessed though - we didn't announce til 17 weeks and everyone was pretty surprised! I think we're all more aware of the bloating and our bodies changing and tbh most other people don't pay that much attention really. My boobs went up two sizes and two cup sizes by 12 weeks :o my old bras were agony! I highly recommend going and getting fitted at M&S for their really comfy non-wired bras after 12 weeks. You won't need maternity bras (as your boobs will probably change again in the run up to giving birth), but non-wired is much better when you're pregnant :)
I had some blood tests done last Thursday after I'd nearly fainted again the week before (took a week to get bloods done); rang up Friday to get the results and was told the Dr wanted to speak to me as something wasn't in the 'normal' range, and was told it'd be 3 to 4 weeks! I was given an appointment for this coming Thursday, but rang up again this morning after more breathlessness/heart beating like crazy/feeling light headed over the weekend again and thankfully this time the receptionist was more understanding and managed to get me a call today. Turns out my iron is on the lower side - which I'm not surprised about, as I've had B12 and Iron anemia before and used to take much more of it, but was told not to whilst pregnant (despite me explaining multiple times my concerns in not taking extra I was ignored). So now my levels have gone low again so on to the iron tablets. Not looking forward to them as they usually make my digestive system go crazy but anything to stop me nearly fainting and getting out of breath just going up the stairs with my heart trying to jump out! Just wish they'd listened to me before when I flagged this - I know my own body!
