@delilah7, looks all good the way it is if you ask me 👍🙂

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 16:27

@Fivebyfive2 thank you!! Xx

TrashKitten10 · 04/05/2019 16:59

@Delilah7 That is gorgeous! So pretty :) Is that a wall sticker? The giraffe is fab as well ☺️

thumper59 · 04/05/2019 17:17

14 weeks on Monday and I've been and put the deposit on our furniture set and pram today. I'm crazy aren't I. I live in fear of not being organised!!

@Delilah7 that's absolutely beautiful x

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 17:20

@TrashKitten10 it's a stencil but paint! Was abit of a faff but it looks more better than a sticker! Thank you 😍

@thumper59 organised is good! His hospital bag is all packed and mines half way there so I get it 😂 thank you!! Xx

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 17:21

The wardrobes behind me in the picture btw and a reading corner 😍

thumper59 · 04/05/2019 17:32

@Delilah7 I don't believe you can ever be to organised, from June- September we have crazy busy weekends and a holiday! So gonna be struggling for time. I'm also not an indecisive person at all haha. I'm quite picky and when I see what I like and I'm set on it my mind is not changing 😂 I'm also pretty bland so rooms and
Furniture is always neutral/ white/ grey. 😂

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 17:33

@thumper59 same as me! I didn't want to personally paint the whole room blue or anything. I just wanted blue accessories :)

Crossfitgirl · 04/05/2019 18:14

@thumper59 I wish I could be more like you. I agonise over decisions! I'm 26 weeks and we only ordered our furniture and pram at Easter lol. Glad to get it all sorted though! I bought some super cute stuff in asda including a little white woolley cardi with a fleece lining in newborn size. I hope it's cold enough for her to wear in August! @delilah7 that looks lovely!! Love the stencil! Let's see the reading corner xx

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 18:41

@Crossfitgirl it's not really a proper one it's just a wicker basket with a little wicker chair for him when he's older! Xxx

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 18:57

@Crossfitgirl see not really a 'reading corner ' haha. We will have a bookcase when he's older xx

I've been quietly following all of your journeys! So exciting. I'm now 37+3 and over thinking every twinge. Baby's nursery is not done, their cot etc and clothes are still in boxes as we only got keys to our new house last week! Very stressful time and very jealous of all of you super organised ladies! We have also got the lulworth set from Mothercare. Dp has spent the (entire😬) day building the wardrobe which was a pain so just ask if any tips needed! @Delilah7 the nursery looks absolutely lovely! X

BostonFern · 04/05/2019 19:32

@Delilah7 pleased to hear you've got a plan in place now! Your nursery is beautiful too! Love the giraffe.

@Tropicana1 what a stressful time you've had already. I hope you're getting plenty of rest and care at the moment.

@Fivebyfive2 huge congratulations!

@TrashKitten10 Poor you, sounds like you've had such a rough time the last few weeks. Here's hoping the second trimester is much kinder to you!

@EltzBee glad your GP checked you out, must have been a frightening experience.

@thumper59 I get you on the being organised front!

Sorry I've been quiet the last few days-it's been a tricky week, hormones have caused chaos! Seems to have triggered off an an 'episode' with my heart (pre-existing condition, which we expected to be made worse by pregnancy, but still unpleasant). Ended up going to the hospital by ambulance-luckily it was only the pre-existing condition, and heart started behaving itself so we were discharged the same day. I couldn't help but worry that it had somehow affected the baby-GP and midwife both tried to reassure me, by phone and at the booking in appointment but I don't think I was going to be happy until I saw all was ok-luckily we had the NIPT test and scan booked in today and I was massively relieved to see a wriggling little baby and good heartbeat!

EltzBee · 04/05/2019 19:49

@Delilah7 that looks lovely!

@Fivebyfive2 my mum guessed about 10 weeks, and we told DHs mum after about 15 weeks. We didn't go 'public' till 17 weeks so nobody else knew. I think everyone's different and you can only do what's right for you. There's no harm in just taking a few weeks and just enjoying the time she secret the two of you have 😊

@Delilah7 that looks lovely!

@thumper49 I’m in awe of how organised you are! I’m 20 weeks and I’ve not even thought about prams or nursery furniture or anything, I’ve not bought anything at all yet.

@BostonFern I’m not surprised you were worrying, that must have been horrible. I’m glad everything is ok.

@Fivebyfive2 I told my parents after my early scan, no one else til 15 weeks. I couldn’t bare the thought of having to tell people that things had gone wrong so I didn’t want to tell anyone for ages.

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 20:19

@Bettyhop aww thank you lovely!! Not long left to go for you! Xx

@BostonFern aww thank you!! Bless you. Must of been worrying but Atleast you've seen the heartbeat! Always reassuring xx

@EltzBee thank you! Xx

@stormtrooperjulian thanks Hun!

Was a little worried it looked abit girly for a boy but I love it so much xx

Fivebyfive2 · 04/05/2019 20:35

@BostonFern, that sounds scary, so glad all is OK! Xx

So, as I'm only 4 weeks, I assume I don't need to call the Dr yet, as last time they didn't see me until almost 8 weeks. Or shall I get the ball rolling earlier, because of the previous MC (miscarriage) I wonder?? Xx

Delilah7 · 04/05/2019 20:43

@Fivebyfive2 I was having HCG blood tests as I wanted to make sure they were rising from the MC I had before. You could always see if they could do that? Xx

Cookie0508 · 05/05/2019 06:52

Oooh @Fivebyfive2 welcome back!! I'd get yourself booked in. It might still be at 8 weeks but they'll at least know xx

And congrats @Tropicana1!! xx

Lovely room @Delilah7! I've seen some really nice grey designs, I do like a nice grey. I've seen some nice white and rainbow designs too so might go for that. I still have to wait as DP wants his spare room for a little longer yet! 😂

Insomnia is a b. Getting about 5 hours a night at the moment. Doesn't help that I keep being reminded that this is the time to get some sleep as I'll never have any again... thanks for that, I didn't know!! 🙄

Delilah7 · 05/05/2019 07:39

@Cookie0508 I'm so with you. I had about 5 hours last night and I'm knackered. Yes it might be preparing us but when we are growing a baby it's hard work!

EltzBee · 05/05/2019 08:43

@Cookie0508 oh it's so annoying isn't it! I seem to lie awake for hours in the middle of the night, knackered but unable to sleep. Night just gone was fairly good by recent standards, one night last week my tracker recorded I'd got less than 4hrs.

People do like giving the same comments and questions all the time. Oh and the number of people who have an opinion on how I should feed my baby - the next person who does will get told to shove their opinion where the sun don't shine 🤣

BostonFern · 05/05/2019 09:02

Thanks @stormtrooperjulian @Delilah7 @Fivebyfive2

@Fivebyfive2 the midwives around here are really busy- I called at three weeks and their first appointment was at nine weeks 😬

@Cookie0508 @Delilah7 Sorry you've both had a bad nights sleep. I can't imagine how hard it must get closer to the end of pregnancy.

@EltzBee I think I'm going to find dealing with everyone else's opinions a bit stressful!

Delilah7 · 05/05/2019 09:06

@BostonFern I find it difficult when there's other factors. Like I'm itching like MAD hence all the crap with hospital etc, I can't get comfortable. He feels like he's right inbetween my ribs which makes it so uncomfortable when I try to sit up or move 😂

Cookie0508 · 05/05/2019 09:31

Thanks ladies, sadly I've had this all the way through my pregnancy! I can imagine it's only gonna get worse as I get bigger!

@EltzBee I've been loving the advice that people have been giving me but now it's at the point of "I'm going to tell you this because you probably don't realise yet", no I really do know, honest. Don't anger the pregnant lady! 😈

Fivebyfive2 · 05/05/2019 10:59

So this morning I went digital as had a test leftover and thought 'why not?!' Feels nice seeing it in words, especially that it's at 2-3 🙂 No more testing though, just gonna call the Dr on Tuesday and see how what they say to do. Am finding a balance between being positive and letting myself be a bit excited, but not getting too carried away, as I feel I did that last time and fely really silly when it went wrong.

How are you all doing? @EltzBee @Cookie0508,sorry to hear you're struggling with sleep. Do you have tomorrow off at least, for the bank holiday? Xx
