I've started this thread to have somewhere for those of us who have been through the IVF/ ICSI journey and have finally got our BFP! For support, symptoms chat and whatever else anyway wants to chat about....

So sorry to hear this @WorriedButterfly. Sending lots of hugs at this hard time xx

RedPandaFluff · 19/05/2019 16:50

@WorriedButterfly and @Thund4rcat - how awful. I'm so, so sorry to read this. I don't have any words that could possibly help or heal, but I'm thinking of you both x

brighteye3986 · 21/05/2019 10:54

So I saw the consultant yesterday and was discharged from them. Saw my midwife this morning and heard my baby's heartbeat 💗 now for my private scan next week.

Hi everyone, am new to Mumsnet and this thread. I got my much prayed for bfp after 4 years of infertility and 2 rounds of IVF. I have a viability scan scheduled for tomorrow and am trying hard not to worry about it! I have calculated that I am 6 weeks and 4 days and very much hoping to hear a little heartbeat tomorrow...

goodacookie · 21/05/2019 13:31

@worriedbutterfly and @Thund4rcat I am SO sorry to have missed your previous messages. Did not mean to appear insensitive at such a sad time for you both. Thinking of you x

Twiglet2353 · 21/05/2019 19:46

@WorriedButterfly @Thund4rcat just catching up with this thread. I'm so sorry that you're both going through this. Sending so much love xx

brighteye3986 · 21/05/2019 20:13

@goodacookie congratulations! It will be too early to hear the heartbeat but they should hopefully be able to see the heartbeat! Good luck for tomorrow

Thanks @brighteye3986 Of course....wishful thinking about the hearing! So lovely you got to hear your baby's heartbeat. Am heading to bed early to sleep through the nerves...

goodacookie · 22/05/2019 11:51

Am in total and utter shock. My viability scan revealed 3 babies!!!! Two sharing one sac and a third chilling out on its own in another. 4 years of dreaming and now three?! Wow wow wow. Have to get my head straight before going into work this afternoon. DH and I keep swinging between joy and terror, ha ha!!

DaisyMay25 · 22/05/2019 11:52

Oh my gosh @goodacookie what an absolute blessing!!!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 22/05/2019 12:07

Wow @goodacookie Shock congratulations!! I can imagine the shock sort of as I'm carrying twins. Think I may have passed out if they said 3 Wink jokes aside it is an absolute blessing and I hope it all goes smoothly for you from now on

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 22/05/2019 12:08

@WorriedButterfly sorry I posted before I read your update. I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. Take care Thanks

goodacookie · 22/05/2019 12:16

Thank you @DaisyMay25 and @NoCupcakesOrCocktails It was a huge shock. DH's eyes came out on stalks, I will never forget his expression as long as I live! Congrats on your twins too @NoCupcakesOrCocktails Lovely blessing indeed x

brighteye3986 · 22/05/2019 12:53

@goodacookie wow that's 😳. Congratulations! At least you have some time to prepare and get used to the fact!

@brighteye3986 Yup it was and still is a mega Shock I am totally overwhelmed at the thought of it all today. Yesterday was such a shock that I'm now emerging dazed and terrified. All I can think about are the sheer logistics of this reality. Not much work being done over here today Smile

PrayingandHoping · 23/05/2019 11:36

Had my 16 week midwife check. All was well and heard baby's heartbeat as much as baby kept trying to move away! Midwife 1 baby 0 😂

Roll on 20 week scan!

womaninkent · 23/05/2019 11:47

@goodacookie goodness-I can see why you’re still in shock. What amazing news.

@prayingandhoping glad to hear all was well at the 16 week scan. Hopefully you’ll start feeling movement soon if you haven’t already!

PrayingandHoping · 23/05/2019 11:49

@womaninkent hoping so! I have had such gurgly intestines throughout the pregnancy though I think it will take me a while to work it out!

But what the midwife did say was I have a very active baby! And "good luck" 😂😂😂

Positivity86 · 23/05/2019 12:54

@goodacookie wow!! Many congratulations, what wonderful news! Such a blessing x

Positivity86 · 30/05/2019 17:33

How is everyone doing?

Had our 20 week scan today and all looks great. Lovely to feel her moving around now too!

DaisyMay25 · 30/05/2019 17:41

@Positivity86 how lovely to feel movements!

I had my 9 week scan today, everything was fine, even measuring two days ahead! It gave me a little wiggle too!

Positivity86 · 30/05/2019 19:15

@DaisyMay25 ah how lovely, congrats on your scan! It's just magical isn't it x

RedPandaFluff · 30/05/2019 20:52

Oh brilliant, @DaisyMay25 😁

Twiglet2353 · 30/05/2019 21:00

Ah how lovely @Positivity86 @DaisyMay25 - glad things are going well for you both.

I had my 12 week scan today also. Well 12+5, happy wriggly baby, no more bleeding and no evidence of haematoma remaining - hurrah!
Down to just 200mg Cyclogest on a night now so should be off completely again by next week Smile

brighteye3986 · 30/05/2019 21:33

Must have been a popular scan day today. We had our private gender scan today but have to wait until the 9th June to find out.... I've had bubbles today which I believe to be baby moving as didn't feel like movements I'm used to.

Congrats on everyone else's scans!
