I've started this thread to have somewhere for those of us who have been through the IVF/ ICSI journey and have finally got our BFP! For support, symptoms chat and whatever else anyway wants to chat about....

I had a gender scan today (I'm 16+3) and we are having a baby girl! Over the moon! 💞

@Positivity86 congratulations! How lovely Smile

brighteye3986 · 15/05/2019 19:25

It's making me excited for my gender scan in 2 weeks although I won't actually find out for 3 weeks as we are having a gender reveal party for family and close friends and we will be finding out with them. I have asked a close friend to do the reveal part for us! I have consultant and midwife next week and am really hoping one of them will attempt to listen to the baby's heartbeat.

Thanks everyone! Hope you all are doing well 😊

womaninkent · 15/05/2019 21:36

@brighteye3986 if it is your 16 week appointment it’s very likely the midwife will try to listen to the heartbeat.

PrayingandHoping · 15/05/2019 23:06

Hi all! Glad to hear everyone is doing well

Hit another milestone tonight. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and after weeks of slowly reducing my meds (as instructed by clinic) I have just taken my last prednisolone and cyclogest 🥳🥳

brighteye3986 · 16/05/2019 06:01

@womaninkent thanks. I'm really hoping they do. I've seen so many different people say different things due to areas and districts that it is difficult to say if they will or not!

Great news @PrayingandHoping!

@brighteye3986 The midwife listened to the heartbeat at my 16 week appointment, hopefully they do at yours too!

Has anyone who is a bit further along felt any movement? I'm 17 weeks and don't think I've felt anything yet but she is very active on all the scans!

womaninkent · 16/05/2019 11:25

@brighteye3986 they did the heart beat for both me and my sister and we are Kent and north Staffs. Hope they do for you.

@positivity86 i’m 18 weeks 4 days. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been feeling little twitchy movements which I think are baby but they aren’t really strong or clear enough to be sure yet. Hope you feel something soon.

brighteye3986 · 16/05/2019 13:57

Thanks @womaninkent and @Positivity86 this sounds promising.

Hi folks, sorry to say I am out. After seeing the heartbeat at 7 weeks, had another scan today at 9 weeks and no heartbeat found, so am having surgery tomorrow to remove it. Very sad. Feels weird because I have been so ill this past month with hyperemesis - hospitalised twice. Will take a few months off then try IVF again with one of the frozen embryos I have left.

WorriedButterfly · 16/05/2019 16:24

Oh @Thund4rcat I am so sorry to hear that, that's a really rough ride with all your sickness as well. Take some time to take care of yourself. x

Positivity86 · 16/05/2019 17:29

@Thund4rcat I'm so very sorry to hear this. Take good care of yourself xxx

@Thund4rcat I'm so sorry, take care of yourself Thanks

WorriedButterfly · 18/05/2019 16:08

Sad to say I'm out, had a 9 week reassurance scan today and there is no longer a heartbeat, very sad and disheartened- seems I have to wait til Wednesday for a scan on the NHS before I can move to next steps. x

PrayingandHoping · 18/05/2019 16:21

@WorriedButterfly and @Thund4rcat I'm so sorry. Look after yourselves x
