I've started this thread to have somewhere for those of us who have been through the IVF/ ICSI journey and have finally got our BFP! For support, symptoms chat and whatever else anyway wants to chat about....

@summerloving17 oh thank you so much for your quick message! Xx

Thund4rcat · 16/04/2019 06:47

@agog123 also I was having line darkness anxiety like you, on the cheapie poas the line was very light vs a frer. I am 5 weeks today and only today did it start looking any darker, and still lighter than control. I think the light lines are OK. They're not really designed to be more than a binary yes/no measure I suppose.

Twiglet2353 · 16/04/2019 11:11

@WorriedButterfly though I'd tag you to make it easier. Welcome Smile

Agog123 · 16/04/2019 12:51

Hey ladies, so scan is booked for 8th May, 3 weeks time so I’d be 7.5 weeks - aghhh :(

I’m 4.4 now, I just want to see it and see if there’s a heartbeat. What’s the earliest that could actually happen?

Last time I ended up in a&e with pain but that’s because of my battered ovaries after the fresh IVF round and saw it then.

PrayingandHoping · 16/04/2019 12:54

Sometimes they see a heartbeat at 6 weeks but it's hit and miss....

You are best to wait to 7 weeks to not add to the worry of no heartbeat because it was just too early xx

Agog123 · 16/04/2019 12:56

Yes very true, OK I just need to occupy myself in some other way between now and then because I’m going crazy already.

WorriedButterfly · 16/04/2019 18:01

Hi ladies - room for one more! Thank you for tagging @Twiglet2353!

BFP earlier today on OTD, excited but so glad to see I'm not on my own with anxiousness! My scan is booked for 7 May which seems like an eternity away! Hopefully busy myself until then!

Positivity86 · 16/04/2019 21:05

Congratulations and welcome @WorriedButterfly. Your scan date will soon come around 😊

Summerloving17 · 17/04/2019 19:22

Hi ladies, to those of you who had your 12 week dating scans did that match the date you had calculated or was there any variation? X

womaninkent · 17/04/2019 21:02

Hi @summerloving17. My due date changed by one day!

Positivity86 · 17/04/2019 21:44

@Summerloving17 my due date didn't change (even though baby was measuring 2 days ahead) as they stuck by the IVF dates of of egg collection etc. Seems like everywhere is different on this though!

PrayingandHoping · 18/04/2019 10:43

Just had my last scan at the clinic at exactly 11 weeks (it was optional but wanted it so we could tell family as we are away with them this weekend).

So thrilled 😁 😁

My 12 weeks (well 12+4) scan with nhs is a week on Monday

Ah what a wonderful pic @prayingandhoping. So glad all is well xx

womaninkent · 18/04/2019 17:06

Wow @prayingandhoping, what an amazing picture.

PrayingandHoping · 18/04/2019 17:15

@womaninkent it was a 3D image. I didn't even know they did them. He just had a normal imagine on the screen and then started pressing buttons and said and there's a 3D image! I said to DH the NHS image won't be that good lol!

Positivity86 · 18/04/2019 17:54

Lovely scan @PrayingandHoping x

brighteye3986 · 18/04/2019 19:30

Great news and scan @PrayingandHoping

Hi everyone! Congratulations on your BFPs. May I join you? I'm not even at official test day yet after having embryo transfer 8 days ago, but I think the lines are strong enough to give me some hope that, finally, this is our baby!

I feel sick with worry every day, though. And a day feels like a week, a week feels like a month. How on Earth do you manage to stay sane until the 6-7 week scan? I've had chemicals and a MMC so I'm terrified this is going to go the same way.

Except . . . this feels more 'right', I have more hope for this one, but I can't articulate why . . . but even typing that feels like I'm jinxing it!

Congratulations @RedPandaFluff!

WorriedButterfly · 19/04/2019 17:57

Congratulations @RedPandaFluff keep up the positivity! How is everyone doing? I've got quite an achey lower back, which is worrying me, has anyone else experienced this?

brighteye3986 · 19/04/2019 18:30

@WorriedButterfly I had lower back ache and cramps all through my early stages. They eased around 8 weeks or so. They are absolutely normal especially if you have no other symptoms ie bleeding etc.

RedPandaFluff · 19/04/2019 18:43

I have an achey lower back after every IVF cycle whether I get a positive test or not, so I think it's the progesterone loosening up my ligaments - are you on progesterone support, @WorriedButterfly?

womaninkent · 19/04/2019 22:07

Got my fingers crossed for you @redpandafluff

PrayingandHoping · 24/04/2019 10:33

How's everyone doing??

I had a lovely weekend away with my family. My parents have known everything from the start but my brothers and their families were thrilled at the news! 😁 was strange talking about it openly and future plans. We've very much been so nervous about tempting fate we've been living in the moment. Best get used to it for when we make it public next week!! Eek!

Landmark day today too.... I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and today is my last day of injections and one of my meds. My cyclogest and prednisolone carry on for the next few weeks gradually reducing!!! 😁😁😁😁 can't wait to be med free!!!!!

brighteye3986 · 24/04/2019 10:59

I'm currently sitting in the waiting room for my 12 week scan. The longer I'm sitting here waiting the more anxious I'm getting....
