Hey! I have taken a clear blue pregnancy test today as I was a week late. It says 1-2 weeks pregnant. When I downloaded a pregnancy app to input my data and being to track my pregnancy (I know that may be early but I just want to do things right etc) it says I am 4 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy so I apologise now if the question is silly! Xx Blush

@Bella5757 wow thats so sweet! im glad you had a nice day filled with some pampering.
wait, i keep getting my dates mixed up aarrggh, we are both due 28th so the first day of my last period must have been the 18th too, omg total mum brain. actually no, im looking at the calendar now ... i recall my my predicted ovulation day was the 5th of jan so then two weeks before that does take me to the 22nd of december .. so ill actually have a different due date Shock noooo haha, why do i keep getting it confused. anyway nevermind.

foreverthe2ww2 · 27/01/2019 22:58

just double checked i am due 28th of sept .. i guess your cycles are longer then 28 days? this must be how we can have different first cycle days but same due date, that threw me for a second then.

Bella5757 · 28/01/2019 06:23

@foreverthe2ww2 yea my cycle must be slightly different!
We are still due date twins ❤️

@LaurenSl
Did you take a look at that due date website Hun?
When I looked at it I had you as 4 weeks and due on 1st oct
But depends on your cycle length. Give it a go xxx

@Bella5757 yea phew, i liked the idea of a due date twin so im glad it still worked out the same ha. my tests were so faint to start with so i have just checked that the line is darker (silly i know) but it is now a nice healthy dark line whoop .. hcg is definitely increasing so i can relax now .. well as much as a pregnant woman can anyway.

Bella5757 · 28/01/2019 08:22

Oh my word I had the same thing! They were so faint! So in the end I got the clear blue one which says pregnant or not pregnant! Needed it clearly!
I know what you mean I'm tempted to do another just to make sure baby is still there. Feels unreal xx

foreverthe2ww2 · 28/01/2019 08:42

@Bella5757 If you have a poundland near by those hcg strips are awesome, simply because they are so cheap (3 in a pack) so you can test as much as you want, although obviously i will stop now Blush ..yea i almost got a clearblue too just so i could see it in writing also but because the line was so faint i was worried it would say not pregnant as i have read that they are not too sensitive and i didnt want to chance seeing that.

Bella5757 · 28/01/2019 10:35

@foreverthe2ww2 oh wow thank you! Didn't think about those. Guess who will be heading there this week haha xxx

foreverthe2ww2 · 28/01/2019 10:44

@Bella5757 haha you are welcome :) ..its the closest we get to knowing its real and really in there so very comforting seeing that line.

LaurenSl · 28/01/2019 11:19

Hey girls, yeh took a look at due date and I’m due 1st October - so I’m 4 weeks and 6 days - so I’ll be 5 weeks tomoz! :)
Just hoping I stay feeling as good as I do as I can handle this level of icky feeling and tiredness! Xxx

LaurenSl · 28/01/2019 11:21

Just rung the midwives and got my first appt and first scan date! Eeek! Gosh all so exciting yet terrifying! X

Bella5757 · 28/01/2019 11:37

@LaurenSl yay!! Happy nearly 5 weeks to you Hun!
You're so good! I haven't called mine yet. Need to do that. Wanted to wait until 6 weeks so will book next week for sure. So scary and exciting!!
Are you London based too?

@foreverthe2ww2 have you called your doc yet? Xxxx

foreverthe2ww2 · 28/01/2019 11:50

hey @LaurenSI thats awesome, only a couple of days between us, but as we all know the baby decides when it fancies showing up so it will be interesting to see when we all start going in to labor eek, at least we can keep each other company. that would be amusing if we all had to go in on the same day.

@Bella5757 yes, well i did a self referral online for the Royal free which is my closest hospital and i will have a chap call me tomorrow to book my first appointment so almost booked but i do need some folic acid as this seems like a huge must take thing so i think i still need to book with the docs to get a prescription for that. xx

LaurenSl · 28/01/2019 11:57

I am from London but now based in Glasgow - so I’ll join you from afar!
I was told to call ASAP as the waiting lists are massive! So my scan will be week 13 eek x

Bella5757 · 28/01/2019 12:35

@foreverthe2ww2 @LaurenSl
Oh wow girls! I didn't realise. I will def call this week!
Such a shame we aren't all closer as we could all keep up to date with things and meet up

I've been taking folic acid since November as always told you should take it a month up to trying and after zxxx

foreverthe2ww2 · 28/01/2019 12:48

@Bella5757 yea that would of been a nice thing to do, it is crazy how you can live in the same city and be potentially a couple of hours apart, more so with london becuase it is not that in comparison to some places and there is so many ways of getting around and yet most places can be up to an hour away when only about 4 miles away, such an odd place in that respect.

ah ok, thats really good that you have done that then, i better get my arse in gear and grab some!

Bella5757 · 28/01/2019 12:58

@foreverthe2ww2 if you have a Lidl or Aldi close to you they sell them in there cheaper than boots/Tesco etc they can be expensive in some places.

Start taking them as soon as you can

@Bella5757 oh yes i have an aldi on my doorstep pretty much so i will head there, thank you for :) xx

HayzCo · 29/01/2019 07:34

Hey everyone! Congrats on all of your pregnancies! I was after some advice on the dates front. Would love your thoughts!

The first day of my last period was 25 Dec which would make me 5 weeks today. However I have a long cycle, so didn’t ovulate until 14 Jan (two weeks yesterday). My natural cycles app is telling me I’m 4+1, so has added two weeks before ovulation.

So confusing! I ask because I had a miscarriage last year and my hospital offers an early scan. No idea when I should go. I don’t want to go too early and it not be possible to see heartbeat but also... desperate to go! When would you book in?

Thanks so much for any advice! Xx

foreverthe2ww2 · 29/01/2019 08:33

@LaurenSI 5 weeks today!:)

@HazyCo Morning, Congratulations to you also. I think they say that around 6/7 weeks is when you could see a heartbeat so i would personally choose 7 weeks just to double make sure there will be a heartbeat rather going in too early and not getting to see it? Although saying that I swear I saw someone saying they were 5wks and 3 days or something like that and saw a heartbeat which i though was too early but as they say everyone has different experiences and all babies develop at different rates within reason. Maybe its worth calling and asking when they feel would be best to book the appointment for bearing in mind you would like to see the heartbeat. x

Bella5757 · 29/01/2019 09:52

@LaurenSl yay 5 weeks!
@HayzCo congratulations to you!
I would say maybe 6/7 weeks as you are further along by then. But I can understand if you feel you want to book sooner because of last time to give yourself reassurance xxxxx

LaurenSl · 29/01/2019 12:40

Woop!!! 5 weeks and still feeling ok thank goodness!
My app tells me wee heart starts beating this week although it’s not audible on scan! So bizarre! It’s a smartie sized too! Eek! Told my boss today too - mental! X

Bella5757 · 29/01/2019 12:52

@LaurenSl so exciting!
Yep mine is a smartie too!
6 weeks on Saturday

You're good for telling your boss

I'm not saying anything until I have my scan 🙈🙈🙈 xxxx

OP posts:
foreverthe2ww2 · 29/01/2019 13:05

ah okay thats cool to know about the heartbeat, ... so it is around now but just cant be heard, eek, so cool. im on the phone now to book my first appointment.

foreverthe2ww2 · 29/01/2019 13:49

eeee, booked, 19th of march for the midwife appointment and then 19th of march for the first scan, ... only 7 weeks till we get to see bambino yyaayy. i know you shouldnt get too excited with these things as anything can happen but i am going to allow myself to just embrace all the feelings as i go lol.

LaurenSl · 29/01/2019 13:57

I have to tell as I work in nhs so have to know due to infectious reasons! So I can stay away from nasty things! That’s only person I’ve told though!
I’m terrified that something will go wrong but gotta stay positive and hope my body does what it’s meant to!

Yeh my app tells you week by week what’s happening and shows you pic of what if looks like! Little alien just now but with heartbeat of 100 beats per min!! Smile
