Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

So im around 6 weeks. I think I'm 6+4 but from my scan the woman said 5 to 6 weeks and a few days has passed so I'll say 6 weeks. The last 2 days u have felt very sick indeed. Not actually been sick but its a horrible feeling. I had sore boobs last week but that's kind of gone now although they look full..just like what happens before a period and I'm feeling tired. Luckily I've been off this week as I've been napping but today I had to get up and go to an interview and since coming home I'm absolutely shattered, now lying in bed. So im a but worried about back to work next week, my commute it an hour each way. Don't know how I will cope :/ off for a nap x

Angie2578 · 04/01/2019 19:11

Hiya Smudgeybum1..... I totally get that...I have been reading so much and I think pretty much convinced myself that it will all go wrong and I'm not that lucky! I think I need to stop reading so much and try to relax!
I haven't had any real headaches but feel a but fuzzy and hard to concentrate....mainly cos I'm so excited! Really distracted at work and its so hard not telling people yet! I told my boss privately and my gym instructor but that's it for now I think.

sa11zza · 04/01/2019 19:58

I booked the first app with the midwife for 22nd January I will be between 7-8 weeks then! In my pack it says about getting the flu jab, do we book to get that done now or after the booking appointment does anyone know!?

MrsRRC · 04/01/2019 20:17

@sa11zza Hi, last time I was booked in for the flu jab at my doctors surgery - but I was referred to the midwife through my surgery. You could call your surgery and explain and they will probably sort an apppointnent for you.

Mia93 · 05/01/2019 00:08

Hi! I’m so glad i found this thread. Im 25 y/o and I’m due September 11th i think. Haven’t had any doctors appointments yet, but got a positive test and downloaded the Pregnancy+ app. Feeling very nervous and worried about it all though.

My boyfriend lives in a different country and is only 20, so i will probably be alone with this child. I don’t personally want an abortion... I honestly don’t know what to do.

A part of me is really happy though, and i know i could do a decent job at being a mother. I just didn’t see myself being a single mother.

Sorry for the long comment i just have a lot of thoughts right now :’)

Congrtulations to all the other mommas here though :D

sa11zza · 05/01/2019 10:23

@Mia93 phone the midwife and get booked in for your first appointment, In my pack I received yesterday it says for single parents support can be given.

I'm 4 + 6 and I feel quite lonely as I haven't told anyone apart from my husband and he doesn't really understand how my body is feeling, we were trying for a baby though so this isn't a surprise for me and something we are very excited about as well. I want to tell my parents but I'm just cautious with being so early on... what's everyone else's thoughts on this?

DuggeesWooOOooggle · 05/01/2019 10:49

Sa11zza there's no reason you shouldn't tell people but maybe keep it to people who you will be glad of support from if things do go wrong. If you have a loss (and fingers crossed you won't) then you'll no doubt tell some people anyway, so just think of who you would want support from in those circumstances and tell them. I told a few people before I had my loss last summer and it was helpful as I had a support network there when the worst happened.

Firsttimer86 · 05/01/2019 10:53

Hi ladies,
Congrats to all! This is my first baby and much like some others I’m pretty anxious, every twinge and pain has me on google which I know is ridiculous so it’s really nice to have found this forum, especially as we’re not choosing to tell people just yet.

Can I ask whether anyone has had any abdominal/pelvic pain on their left side? It comes and goes but its fairly sharp. My initial thought was ectopic but it’s not coupled by bleeding or any other symptoms, what do you guys think? I’m six weeks tomorrow. Thank you!

MrsRRC · 05/01/2019 10:54

@sa11zza I know what you mean, it is lonely. I told my parents last time and I wish I hadn’t because it ended in a CP and I know they were gutted but don’t let my tale of woe stop you xx

I am a bit further along this time and they are going on holiday in a couple of weeks for a month so it will be nearly time for my scan by the time they get back. Them being away removes some of the temptation to share!

MrsRRC · 05/01/2019 10:57

@Firsttimer86 I have intermittent cramping on my left side it’s not severely and doesn’t hurt though. I read that it could be the corpus luteum cyst, which is normal.

If you are worried, you should see your doctor.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/01/2019 15:27

Possible TMI...

Very slight red tinge when wiping and mild cramping. I would be due on about now if I wasn’t pregnant. Anyone else had similar? I don’t remember having this the first time.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 05/01/2019 15:40

Googled it. Apparently it’s normal. Blush

Teddie1 · 05/01/2019 15:48

So I'm 5+4 today and up until this point my symptoms have been pretty low level. However yeaterday I completely overacted at work - I was not a nice colleague at all. Grumpy, tired, snappy. Today I feel like the walking dead. Exhausted. Woke up around 6 feeling nauseous but didn't have the energy to do anything about it. Swinging between starving and food averted all day, struggling to keep my eyes open. Hoping this does wax and wain as I won't be able to do anything if this continues!

Hello everyone, Happy New Year and congrats to all new people. Sorry your scan didn’t go exactly as you’d hoped @Whiskey2014, but the new symptoms sound promising. Good luck for your next scan.
@Teddie1 Fully empathise with your grouchiness and lack of energy. I’m asleep at 7 with the kids and up with them at 5. Missing time to myself already!

tinatsarina · 05/01/2019 18:59

I've not had many symptoms yet 4+2 abit of nausea mild cramps here and there. Nipples are abit more sensitive, boobs look fuller. I took another test this morning cuz I still can't quite believe I'm pregnant. Line came up sooner than the first one so I definitely am.
Brew nice mug of decaf tea for everyone

challengeyourreality · 05/01/2019 19:55

I'd like to join the group please - I'm 5w+2 according to my phone app. Estimating my due date as September 20th so a Virgo baby. This will be DC3 - I have 2 DC, girl(5) and boy(3). Loved having a MN group when pregnant with DS to share the journey. So far feeling very good emotionally but very painful breasts. No other symptoms. Not overly tired, no food aversions. I expect that could start in the next week or so - or perhaps not this time!

tinatsarina · 05/01/2019 20:02

@challengeyourreality welcome 😁

I didn't have many symptoms with ds so I kinda want some this time round, I felt abit left out last time. I'm sure if I had really bad sickness I would wish it was the other way though

ZoZo2019 · 05/01/2019 20:58

Hi ladies,
Lovely to be able to chat to others who are due around the same time! I got my positive result on New Years Eve, will be 6 weeks on Tuesday, and due 3rd September. Have my first appointment with the midwife on 25th January so will know more then. It’s my first pregnancy and have only been off the pill since September 2018, so really surprised and happy! The missed period was the big givewaway at 6 days late. My boobs are massive but so far not too sore, which is good. I’m really thirsty and am going to the toilet a lot, and the waves of nausea started yesterday, although today hasn’t been as bad as yesterday. I’m starting to find that some foods I used to like don’t taste very nice any more. I’m told this is all part of the process so am just rolling with it! Getting to sleep at night seems to be a bit of an issue at the moment, even though I’m feeling more tired than usual. My husband has been amazing and has started blitzing the house and thinking about putting in air con for the summer. I’d like to join him but still a bit nervous at this stage as it’s still so early on. Anyone else thinking about the summer months ahead? xx

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 06/01/2019 08:07

So I woke up this morning and just felt like I was starting AF. Went to the toilet and it certainly looks like AF. I got 3 BFPs: one on the 28th December, one on 30th December and one on 3rd January.

What now?

Teddie1 · 06/01/2019 08:15

Oh no @BeingATwatItsABingThing ThanksThanks it may not be what you think though - a little bleeding in early pregnancy is considered normal. But if it turns into a proper period SadSadSad because it's a Sunday I'm not sure what to do. Give it a few hours and see if it stops and make an appointment with the gp first thing tomorrow? I'm sorry I can't be more help. Big hugs xxxxx

being i would pop a san pad in and see how it goes, do you have a number for your mw yet? How far along are you? Do you have a local EPU?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 06/01/2019 08:20

I had an appointment to see the mw on the 23rd January but I don’t have a number for her yet.

I would only be about 4 weeks along.

We have an EPU but no self referrals. Only from the GP or out of hours.

tinatsarina · 06/01/2019 09:37

@BeingATwatItsABingThing how are you? Is it heavy? Like @Teddie1 said a bit at the start can be normal Flowers

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 06/01/2019 09:55

I rang 111. A GP called me to assess me. She said it could be normal implantation bleeding or it could be a miscarriage. Basically I need to rest today and play the waiting game.

tinatsarina · 06/01/2019 10:26

Fingers crossed it's implantation for you the placenta is still developing so it very well could be
