Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

Hey guys I was just wondering something and it is probably a stupid question but it got me thinking?
Do you need to take the folic acid and vitamins at the same time everyday or as long as you have had one everyday it doesn't matter because something I forget till the afternoon and I just hope it doesn't affect the way it works!

Hannahb123 · 14/03/2019 17:18

How's everyone getting on this thread has gone so quite. Has anyone had their 12 weeks scan yet? I have mine on Monday so nervous but so excited 😆

KJR123 · 14/03/2019 18:08

Had my 12w scan yesterday was so excited to leave quite upset tbh.
Had a student in which I didn't mind and it meant I got a lot longer for scan etc.
Sadly the screen was pointed towards student for 90% of the time so I couldn't see as she had to learn and I didn't get to hear heart beat like others have at the 12w and the pictures I got are awful very grainy and hard to see compared to women who got there's at the same hospital in the same week by the same midwife.
Very upset mainly about the photos as I got less than others and the quality is so bad. Those aren't photos I can just get again...
Plus I'm pregnant so everything makes me cry.
Did see baby moving once I asked to see the screen yet again!! And seeing the movements was amazing.

Not to put anyone on a downer but deffo be very decisive about what you want when there and speak up etc no harm in asking. I wish I did.
Didn't see my photos till I left etc.

@KJR123 sorry to hear you had a tough time. I wasn't offered to listened to the heartbeat at any if my early scans or the 12w scan, so don't think that's unusual.

KJR123 · 14/03/2019 18:35

@GemmaJen thanks. Feels better after just waffling on here for a minute anyway 😂
Yeah it's tough when everyone in my area etc is saying they did get to hear, but never mind all is healthy that's the main thing.

GemmaJen · 15/03/2019 07:27

@KJR123 I was so nervous for my 12 week scan, it's hard not to have expectations when everyone tells you how theirs went. I'd heard everyone say how active their baby was - mine barely moved until right at the end. I asked the sonogropher as I was a bit worried, apparently that's completely normal and at that stage they are only active for 10 minutes every hour, so mine was having a nap. I'm just glad everything looked healthy, now just got to count down to 20 weeks!

DancingUnicorn1 · 15/03/2019 07:37

Hi all, I’m also due in September and have my 1st scan on Monday. I’m excited and nervous in equal amounts.
I had it all pretty easy (just very tired) up until 6 days ago when I’ve suddenly started with morning sickness! Absolutely gutted cause I thought this was where the symptoms were supposed to die down, not get started!

Best of luck and good wishes to all you other September mums to be!

jennny55 · 15/03/2019 07:59

I had my 12 week scan last weekend, everything was normal so I was happy, but the lady doing the scan didn't say very much just said heartbeat was normal etc. I'm sure she sees so many people but I felt I was herded out like cattle, which doesn't help that I already feel like a COW :)
I'm due September 16th

Hannahb123 · 15/03/2019 08:09

Awww so
Glad everyone who had there scan is doing okay!! And I also never got the chance to hear the heart beat at my 12 week scan with my first so I doubt j will this time will definitely ask though! I have mine on Monday so nervous but so excited st the same time xxxx

Rsian26 · 17/03/2019 20:29

Hi

I'm due 26 September. Already had 3 scans due to my son being 3 months premature and my last baby having a fatal condition. All is well so far my 12w is in 9 days but according to my dates I'll be about 13w3d then :) x

Bunnymummy89 · 19/03/2019 13:55

Hi all, first baby due September 15th, hope you don't mind me butting in!

KJR123 · 19/03/2019 15:01

Hey @Bunnymummy89 I'm Kelly
First timer too
Due 27th sept x

Babycakes1989 · 19/03/2019 17:23

My first too, due 22nd September. First timers? Any signs of some sort of bump yet? Still bloat for me!! A friend is a week ahead and has the most cutest little obvious bump already although she has a child already which they can say makes a difference. Xx

KJR123 · 19/03/2019 18:18

@Babycakes1989 no bump at all yet! Frustrating 😂
I had bloat before but it seems to be gone now.
In fact I'm less than my pre pregnancy wait now due to being really sick for a while that seems to be easing now.

I did hear that first timers it takes longer for bump to come..
Shame as I want one already

KJR123 · 19/03/2019 18:19

*weight

Babycakes1989 · 19/03/2019 18:49

Oh thank gosh I’m not the only one thank you !! 😘 maybe they will make an appearance soon. Hope your feeling better xxx

JE87 · 19/03/2019 20:25

I'm due Sept 10th! I am definitely starting to get a little rounder now. I keep suffering with such bad bloating/wind from around 6pm every evening until the next morning when I have a really upset stomach! Anyone else have this?!

DancingUnicorn1 · 19/03/2019 21:17

Due 29th September!
I feel like my tummy is very large and round but people keep telling me I'm not showing at all!
I'm about 5lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight but I've not had sickness or anything so Hmm who knows!
Hope everything is going well for everyone else and those of you with bad sickness are starting to feel better!

Bunnymummy89 · 20/03/2019 09:29

I've lost a little weight from the sickness (never ending! Are others still suffering with it at this stage??). I've always struggled to keep weight on so am skinny anyway and definitely see a change in my tummy. Wouldn't say I have a bump but hubby can tell the difference and my jeans are too tight! Looking forward to some proper proof that it's growing in there despite hardly being able to eat for the last 8 weeks!

KJR123 · 20/03/2019 10:59

@Bunnymummy89 I'm with you on the sickness almost week 13 for me and I've still got it.

Had about 4 days in a row with no sickness and more energy again I was bouncing off the walls elated that it was over and I could crack on with work and didn't have the fear of spewing every meal etc.

Then boom it's back with a vengeance!
The joys x

Bunnymummy89 · 20/03/2019 11:07

@KJR123 I can totally relate! I'm a little over 14 weeks now. Just after 12 week mark I had exactly the same, was just being sick once a day, then three days no sickness, last week it hit like a ton of bricks again! Almost worse now after having that little bit of relief... and terrible headaches to add to the mix...surely it can't last much longer for us both! I've been off work so long I just want to get back to a bit of normality. Good to know I'm not alone though, hope it improves for you soon x

KJR123 · 20/03/2019 11:28

@Bunnymummy89 nope certainly not alone!! Hopefully things improve indeed.

What I totally appreciate is the people that are not pregnant but have kids and like to tell me over and over how they had barely any sickness and illness etc... and a glorious pregnancy when they were.. that's helpful 😂 x

AnnieAR · 20/03/2019 12:02

Hey, I'm new to the site - I'm 16+2 with my first baby, due on 2nd September! I had my 16 week checkup yesterday and they listened for the heartbeat which was amazing _

KJR123 · 20/03/2019 12:13

Oh Annie that's great I've still not heard the heartbeat so hoping once I get my 16w app on 9th april I'll get to hear too!

I'm Kelly first timer also.
Welcome x

AnnieAR · 20/03/2019 12:19

Hey Kelly, I was a little surprised they did it because I'd heard that not all midwives will check heartbeat at 16 weeks due to it often being hard to find! So I didn't get my hopes up but so happy I got to hear it, was magical _
I've got my 20 week scan on the 15th April which I'm buzzing for!!
