Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

@olderone
Glad there was something there - what sort of scan was it? Heartbeat usually visible at 7 weeks I thought?
I am too nervous for an early scan, hanging on until over 10 weeks when there should be no ambiguity! So stressed though.

olderone · 08/02/2019 06:55

@Megan18 she tried with an adominal scan but couldn't see much so went with vaginal. She did do measurements and was at 1cm. Just not 100% clear but she was not concerned. Just too early for me

ColdCottage · 08/02/2019 11:00

Does anyone else just want to sleep all the time.

tinatsarina · 11/02/2019 19:01

Had a bit of a bleed this morning. I'm 9+4. We DTD last night but there was some pink red blood this morning is now brown spotting. Phoned out of hours go she said to go to maternity so I'm now in the waiting room to see if I can get a scan.

lavender86 · 11/02/2019 21:20

I’m 8 weeks tomorrow with my first due 24th September. So dreadfully tired and juggling full time work is hard! However I’ve been wearing the anti sickness wrist bands since Thursday and they have literally been a lifesaver on the nausea front! Continuing to eat like a horse though 😋

Hannahb123 · 12/02/2019 10:04

@tinatsarina I hope everything has gone okay thinking about you

tinatsarina · 12/02/2019 10:08

Everything had stopped but this morning there was more bleeding. I'm hoping it's just from the speculum exam. Booked in for epu Thursday but I dunno if I can wait that long.

Hannahb123 · 12/02/2019 10:10

@tinatsarina if your worried ring up! Shouldn't have to sit and wait can't be good for the baby the stress! I am sure your fine but if it was me i would want to see

tinatsarina · 12/02/2019 11:26

I did ask but they said the earliest appointment was thursday. Bleeding seems to have stopped for now. Still getting some cramps but Dr said that period bleeding and some cramps can be normal

ColdCottage · 12/02/2019 18:09

@tinatsarina I hope you are ok.

ColdCottage · 12/02/2019 18:09

Anyone else never usually sleep in the day but needing 2-3h naps every other day?

Whisky2014 · 12/02/2019 18:19

Yep, all through january i slept 4 until 6! Thankfully i was off work otherwise i dont know how I'd have managed!

ColdCottage · 12/02/2019 19:01

I'm SO glad I work for myself right now.

GemmaJen · 12/02/2019 19:18

@ColdCottage - not needed naps yet, but so tired and no energy to do anything. I need to have a sit down after just walking up the stairs. Really hoping this goes away at 12w 🤞

Hannahb123 · 13/02/2019 16:19

I am the same I am exhausted all the time! No motivation for anything even to cook I just can't be bothered starting to feel really guilty for my daughter she doesn't understand!

olderone · 14/02/2019 10:32

Good luck ladies. I'm miscarrying. Hope you all have great pregnancies. Take Care x

Megan2018 · 14/02/2019 11:01

@olderone
So sorry to hear this, I hope you have good support around you at such a difficult time. Be kind to yourself.

GemmaJen · 14/02/2019 11:07

I'm so sorry @olderone, that's awful news. Take care of yourself x

Whisky2014 · 14/02/2019 12:03

Very sad news @olderone
Be kind to yourself and take it easy. Flowers

tinatsarina · 14/02/2019 13:13

Scan was this morning. Not good news for me either. The baby got to 8 weeks but she couldn't see a heartbeat I'm supposed to be 10 weeks today. I'm at home just waiting to see if this will happen naturally. Thanks for the support ladies. @olderone sorry your going through this as well.

Megan2018 · 14/02/2019 13:18

@tinatsarina
Oh no, so very sorry.
I wish there was something I could say. Look after yourself.

ColdCottage · 14/02/2019 23:49

@olderone and @tinatsarina I'm so sorry for your losses. I had a miscarriage a few years ago and the long running thread on here about dealing with it really helped me.

Take care and be gentle on yourself.

Butternutbee · 21/02/2019 17:07

@olderone and @tinatsarina I am truly sorry for your losses, it really is so heartbreaking. I hope you’re both surrounded by love and care to help you through such a difficult time. I’m sending love and hugs to both of you.

How is everyone else getting on?

I’m 10+5 today which is the furthest I’ve ever been after previous MCs. This week we saw baby on a scan wriggling around, such a surreal experience. My morning sickness seems to be getting worse too, nausea all day and vomiting several times in the afternoons and evenings despite being on anti sickness medication. It’s so rough but I keep reminding myself that it’s a good sign and I’m trying to stay positive.

I hope everyone is doing well and not feeling too poorly! Smile

Megan2018 · 21/02/2019 17:16

@Butternutbee

Doing ok thanks - now 10+4 or 3 depending on whether to go with LMP or the measurements from NIPT scan I had yesterday. Wriggly baby so just an anxious wait for results now!

The other September 2019 thread over in antenatal clubs is much busier than this one though so I'd recommend popping on there as many more postings. We are on the 3rd thread already! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/3506966-September-2019-Babies-Thread-3

Butternutbee · 21/02/2019 17:22

@megan2018

Ahh, thanks for the heads up Smile I will pop over there now!

Glad you saw a wriggly baby too, fingers crossed for your results x
