Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

@Justanother123 sometime around 5 - 5 and a half weeks i think. It was quite sudden. For everyone with limited symptoms - enjoy it! x

Hi all! I've joined the October thread this morning but just recalculated and thinking it's more late September!

Justanother123 · 21/01/2019 15:18

Thanks Teddie1. I hold out hope that I escape it this time. I was hospitalised last time and it was awful. I’m eating constantly to try and avoid it. 😊

Justanother123 · 21/01/2019 15:18

How do you tag someone in a post? X

pinkpig381 · 21/01/2019 15:25

@Justanother123 put the '@' sign and a list of posters will come up ☺️

Just back from my early scan. Little bean is measuring 8 weeks (I thought I was 7+6 so pretty close!) saw heart beat and everything is looking well Smile

We decided to go for an early private scan to set our mind a rest, I certainly couldn't wait until 12 weeks! For me it was really helpful and would recommend - though I know this might not be he same for everyone xx

@Teddie1 congratulations, that must be a weight of your mind? I'm with you on the early scans, not for everyone but I'm definitely going for one in a few weeks.

I've not got many symptoms going on, but just realized I'm starving all the time at the moment. Is anyone else just constantly hungry? I'm not sure if it's a thing or just me eating my anxiety away, lol. I'm gong to be huge if I keep this up.

foreverthe2ww2 · 21/01/2019 17:21

@GemmaJen ... twins?

ShowerTheHorse · 21/01/2019 17:33

Aww lovely clear scan @Teddie. I'm still unsure on an early scan.

I'm also 5+2 and my only symptoms are sore boobs and I'm so so exhausted. No sickness yet. I'm hungry all the time too!

GemmaJen · 21/01/2019 18:00

@foreverthe2ww2 😆😳

Whisky2014 · 21/01/2019 18:01

Freddie nice scan. Is your sac right in the middle of your uterus? Do you have one showing the top of your uterus? I just am concerned about the location of mine.

Whisky2014 · 21/01/2019 18:07

Oh and my booking in app was cancelled today, it was due to be tomorrow. :(

bananamonkey · 21/01/2019 18:09

@GemmaJen now my nausea has passed I’m constantly hungry, wake up starving in the morning and having two breakfasts Blush

Teddie1 · 21/01/2019 18:23

@Whisky2014 you are having the worst time! SadSad they will rebook it for you asap right? I would be gutted if they cancelled my first appointment - mine is on Friday.
Tbh they didn't say anything about the position etc. She said everything was in the right place, heartbeat good, pointed out the yolk sac which was small as the placenta was growing. I'm sorry that's not more helpful Sad

Whisky2014 · 21/01/2019 18:27

She said they hope the girl I was to see will be back on Thursday and if i dont hear from them by Friday that I should call in!
Ah ok, that's great news for you no worries :)
Yeh im not having a great time and I am a worrier naturally. Hopefully I'm seen soon

jazzyjellybeans · 21/01/2019 19:46

@Teddie1 congratulations on the positive news at your scan today. Can I ask... did they do ultrasound or internal?

LaVieEstBelle8 · 21/01/2019 20:10

@Teddie1 congratulations! Lovely clear scan and it's great to have such reassurance from it! I'm currently 5+2 I think and I'm planning on booking a scan for when I'm almost 8 weeks to hopefully get the reassurance.

I phoned my GP reception today to ask how i go about getting referred to midwives. They have an in house midwife and she booked me in for Friday. I thought it was too early bit receptionist thought it was fine!

I'm so anxious something is going to go wrong. So is my partner so that's not helpful😂. I've had some pulling pains and mild cramps on and off. I have waves of mild nausea in the mornings but I don't know how much I'm imagining! Hopefully it'll all work out ok xx

Teddie1 · 21/01/2019 20:44

@jazzyjellybeans it was just a plain ultrasound but they did warn me they may have to do an internal but no need once i was there. I had to have a full bladder (which mine reeeeally was ) so that probably made visualisation easier

@Teddie1 thanks! Planning to get an early scan at 8 weeks so was curious to find out what the method will be!

CJB9 · 21/01/2019 23:14

Thought I would share my experience of our early scan, I knew I would either be 6+6 or 7+6. I drank two ltrs of water prior which I think helped detect the tiny fast heart beat within seconds! It was truly amazing, I measured 6+6 and she said it was all as expected. I noticed baby blueberry was right against the uterus wall but she did not highlight this as a concern.

I thought the worry would be lifted straight away, although I do feel more assured I think I’ll be more confident at 12 weeks!

Feeling really pressured by the few I’ve told to tell more people? Augh what to do!

I’ve just booked an 8ish week scan in two weeks time. I don’t know whether to be excited or terrified!

JJ94 · 22/01/2019 13:17

Hello all! Smile

Is anyone else experiencing awful nausea?
Currently 7 weeks, somedays i feel mostly fine and then others i just get random spells of nausea all throughout the day.
I'm self employed and work in a beauty salon and i'm finding it really tough to disguise how sick i'm feeling in front of clients.

I find making sure i eat little and often is helping to an extent, but wondered if you had any other tips?

Thank you xx

yorkshiretealass · 22/01/2019 13:47

7 weeks also, and with terrible nausea! Thankfully I was working from home yesterday as it lasted all day. I was sick this morning for the first time but felt better for it so came into work. Trying to hide it as much as terrible but I currently want to nap at my desk! Grin
