Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

@Whisky2014
I had to take 6 paracetamol over 48 hours this week for chronic headache. GP assured me it has no effect on baby at all.
I also used 4head and ice packs.
Headache has gone now thankfully, hopefully yours will pass too.

TwittleBee · 18/01/2019 09:49

I've booked an early scan for 7+4 but that is because I cant stand the thought of getting further along and discovering its a MMC again.

April88 · 18/01/2019 09:54

I’ve got a private scan at 7+3 on Sunday. I last had a miscarriage at 6 weeks so hoping it just gives me the reassurance and then I can wait until my 12 week scan

TwittleBee · 18/01/2019 09:59

Good luck for it April sorry about your previous loss

Whisky2014 · 18/01/2019 10:01

megan2018 thanks. Glad yours has gone. I read some research paper that said paracetamol taken while pregnant can affect babies fertility. But I'm not sure how much makes that effect or if its in a certain trimester. I've taken it anyway and will have to take more if it doesn't subside, its just too sore!

Anondonkey · 18/01/2019 10:32

Has anyone had nausea in the middle of the night? Night before last I woke all of a sudden feeling absolutely awful, stomach like a washing machine. Eventually got back to sleep but it was really weird!

Ax01otl · 18/01/2019 11:11

Hey, not had many symptoms, a few twitches and bloating! Been tired and my boobs were super sensitive but calmed down for now.
Was surprised to be due in September, my last 'period' was a miscarriage so have been careful trying to not get to excited...

PoppySeed91 · 18/01/2019 11:16

@Anondonkey mines been hitting around 11:30pm through till around 3am, last night was the first night in a week I actually slept through! Thanks for opinions on the early scans, I think it was @Whisky2014 said it made it worse, can I ask why? My rational brain is saying everything is fine but anxious brain wants to know it’s a viabale pregnancy as soon as possible!

Whisky2014 · 18/01/2019 11:23

Well I initially went when i thought i was 7 weeks thinking of see a heartbeat. In actual fact I was 5 to 6 weeks and there's was pretty much nothing there. So i then had to go for a Rescan 2 weeks later which felt like a long wait! So went for Rescan and saw heartbeat which was incredible but then I was told It looks like I have a bicornuate uterus or sub septate uterus. It can't be confirmed until 12 weeks and i jusy google and get so worried. So if I hadn't gone for the scan of have never known until 12 weeks when tbey could have told me more info about it anyway.

LaVieEstBelle8 · 18/01/2019 11:47

I really want an early scan so I know there's definitely something still there! When is the best time to have one? I had been thinking over 8 weeks... but my parents are coming to visit just before then... so if I had a scan at 7 weeks I'd feel a little more reassured to tell them. Would this be far too early to tell anything? X

Whisky2014 · 18/01/2019 11:49

No, you should see a heartbeat then :)

@Loti92
How upsetting for you! I am not surprised you are so worried, I think that anyone would be.
It's not over until it is over though, and there was a heartbeat so that has to count for something, so fingers crossed for no more bleeding and a good update next week. Thinking of you

TwittleBee · 18/01/2019 17:55

I am so sorry Loti92 it really is heartbreaking. All I can say is to try and keep yourself distracted until the next scan. I know that's hard when your baby is all that's on your mind. But keeping busy and with things planned helped me until my confirmed miscarriage scan Flowers

sa11zza · 18/01/2019 23:13

Aww @Loti92 that isn't good news! Hopefully things get better for you and next Friday you can relax!

I've been feeling so urgh this week, the worst week so far with nausea, pushed myself to exercise tonight and I feel so much better best I've felt for ages! Just for anyone else feeling a bit rotten a little exercise might help.

excitednerves · 19/01/2019 16:20

I got my midwife booking in appt through, and my scan date - 12 Feb. Now on the countdown and praying everything is ok when I finally get to 12 weeks. It has been torture waiting so long, stressing about every little thing. Nobody tells you how hard it is to keep this under wraps.

@loti92 sending you lots of positive vibes and hope everything goes well on Friday.

tinatsarina · 19/01/2019 19:38

I've been getting more nauseous but haven't been sick yet. Not feeling many twinges now.

sa11zza · 19/01/2019 19:59

@tinatsarina I think it's common for symptoms to come and go! Thank god my sickened has eased because I don't think I could do it for another 4 weeks.

Langpants · 19/01/2019 22:09

@LaVieEstBelle8 - I just had my scan at just on 7 weeks and saw the heartbeat. 😍
Go for it! x

Feeling a bit low...
Had some dark brown spotting with tissue loss (sorry tmi) that started 11 days ago so went to EPU where they scanned and said could see a sack and yolk etc and that it would most likely be implantation bleeding and that I was just unlucky that it seemed to be quite heavy. They booked me in for a rescan next week.
I've continued with the spotting every day since so today we went for an early scan and saw a heartbeat. Left feeling totally reassured.
Tonight I've started bleeding bright red blood - enough to fill two pads in the last two hours - and passed a pretty sizeable clot.
Feel like shit now and completely confused about what is going on.
Sorry to be a party pooper. Just needed to share

PoppySeed91 · 19/01/2019 23:07

@jellybaby2019 I’d be calling up to try and get in somewhere tonight for a check up babe, but if it helps I have two friends who both had huge bleeds, one of which soaked through her clothes and everything - both still had beautiful healthy baby boys! Sending positive vibes your way hun! X

Megan2018 · 19/01/2019 23:09

Thinking of you jellybaby2019
Such a rollercoaster isn’t it. I hope your re-scan brings good news-is there anything else they can do or do you just have to wait?
The waiting for each day to pass is just agony isn’t it.

jellybaby2019 · 20/01/2019 05:51

Thank you @Megan2018 @PoppySeed91

Been in EPU for the last 6hrs, with several internals and bloods etc and coming back at 11 for another scan. Feeling completely numb. It's not over till it's over though, right?

Poppyseed- your friends story and positive vibes are helping, thank you x

Hannahb123 · 20/01/2019 06:09

Hey ladies can I join you I have just found out i’m Pregnant I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant I think from working it out my self lol. But like you have all said I am so nervous it’s such a long time from now to 12 weeks and I have told my family but don’t want to talk about it to much as I am scared I am jinxing it! I am a massive hypochondriac anyway and now being pregnant it’s even worse I was the same with my daughter so just need to talk to someone!

How is everyone feeling? I don’t feel much as far just the odd period like pain and if I move abit sudden I get a twinge pain and yesterday I felt quite dizzy at times?

Xxxxx
