Hi! So I got my BFP on Christmas Eve and am just under 5 weeks. It's quite a lonely time keeping quiet until after 12 weeks so I thought I would start a thread for ladies who are roughly the same time along so we can keep each other company and talk about this exciting time!

What are people symptoms? Do you feel pregnant yet?? I feel pretty normal! Maybe a little more tired but otherwise fine.
How are people going to play New Year's Eve? We have a big do on the 31st and a family lunch on the 1st - don't know how I'm going to get away without drinking!

Xx

@DuggeesWoggle fingers crossed for you. I had a bit of blood last week. Got it checked and everything was fine. They said could be where it's implanted into uterus.

HEFebery · 14/01/2019 07:58

@DuggeesWoggle thinking of you! Sure it's nothing, but if you're not in work then as you say best to get it checked out, even for your own piece of mind Thanks

DuggeesWoggle · 14/01/2019 09:49

Thanks I'm hoping it was just the one time, I've not had anything more. I spoke to EPU and I need to be referred so waiting for call back from gp although they won't be able to get me in for a scan today, probably not until weds. Just another thing to cram into a mad week! So am resting at home today. I think my body is definitely telling me to stop!

Chickenfillets · 14/01/2019 09:58

Hi all. So i thought i was 8weeks pregnant. Had an early private scan on saturday morning and she said there was a sack and a yolk so im more around 6 weeks. Everything was in the right place and looked fine. Anyway i have woken up this morning and had pink spotting when i wipe. I phoned the midwife and i have an appointment tomorrow morning at hospital to check whats going on. Im just looking for reassurance really. Is spotting normal? I had a missed miscarrige in August but it didnt start with spotting it was a full on bleed. Just really worried now.

Whisky2014 · 14/01/2019 10:06

Yeh spotting is normal. And i think particularly pink. If it's red that's when you worry.

Whisky2014 · 14/01/2019 10:10

Here are my scan pics. You can see the heart shape of my uterus in the first one and the fetus gas formed in the top right horn.
I'm just wondering: is that not normal where it has formed?
I'm hoping that where it has formed there's a good chance the placenta can attach to a good spot on my uterus and will get enough oxygen, blood and nutrients to it. What do you think?
Sonographer couldn't tell if it was bicornuate or septate.

Hi all saw this post as September 2019 due, I’m due August 21st will be 9 weeks on Wednesday. Keep feeling sick from the moment I wake all day tired everything all types of different foods but still not feeling any better, any good tips anyone I wasn’t feeling this sick at all with my daughter who is 2 years and 5 months old, so thinking maybe this pregnancy is a boy?

MrsLBear · 14/01/2019 14:31

@tinatsarina that's so cute!! I'm literally a day ahead of you!!! So crazy! How have you been feeling?

@Whisky2014 hopefully when you have your 12 week scan they will be able to clarify more for you and fx it's all absolutely fine. Sorry I can't be much help, scans really confuse me.

@appless I have barely any symptoms too. I had sore boobs but they have calmed and now are just slightly tender but that's about it...makes me worried to that I've not had any really. I might regret saying that though.

How soon did you all contact your gps? Does it take long to get your scan date?
I've only just registered with my new surgery and find out tomorrow about a gp appt as I've been away since I found out. I'm 5+5 today. Really want to get the ball rolling and hope I've not missed out too much and hope I don't get a late date now!

Karigan195 · 14/01/2019 15:04

MrsLBear. I’ve been googling like crazy as I did have sore boobs and then yesterday they seemed less sore. Apparently it’s quite common for symptoms to come and go so unless there are other signs it’s not a reason to worry. We still do but I’m getting a little comfort from that!

I’m 7+2 :)

bananamonkey · 14/01/2019 15:49

2dreamadream I am 9 weeks on Thursday and also have a 2y5m dd! I’ve also been thinking boy as I’ve felt so rough and didn’t have a sniff of nausea/sickness first time around. Or maybe twins as I’ve been having ligament pains for a couple of weeks already which seems far too early! I tried to go for a run today and had to give up half way through, I just felt useless.

Fingers crossed for your scan Duggeeswoggle

2dreamadream · 14/01/2019 17:59

Thank you for ur reply, aww lovely to hear we are at similar weeks with our pregnancy’s I had a scan at 6 weeks as I Had a little bleed and wanted to check everything was okay, luckily everything is fine, only the one little beat for myself. I have felt so sick never felt sick all day with my first pregnacy( my daughter) so Definalty a different sign of sickness there but guess this doesn’t indicate any signs of a boy sadly lol, be happy with both tbh but be nice for one of each xx

MrsLBear · 14/01/2019 19:06

@Karigan195 so weird because I assumed I'd feel awful by now. Don't get me wrong I have my moments. Like right now I don't feel 100% and couldn't face my dinner.

Those who have had their booking appt - is it just for yourself or can your partner/husband go too?

DuggeesWoggle · 14/01/2019 19:21

Booking in appointments are fairly dull, it's just a case of filling in a huge firm. You will also get asked if there is any danger to you from your relationship eg is your partner abusive so they'll probably be glad if you're on your own. Take a urine sample from your first wee of the day, I think you have bloods taken too - I always take a biscuit or something for that as I can get fainty. It's a surprisingly long appointment!

Your partner best save his time off for the scans!

Cheekychimp1 · 14/01/2019 21:08

I haven’t posted for a while. I’m 7weeks. Am always starving and boobs feel like rocks. When I get up in the morning I literally have to hold them when I walk they feel full to the brim. It looks like I have implants!? (TMI Grin).
I’m eating a lot of choc biscuits which I know I shouldn’t but hard not having any naughtiest all day as I’ve such a sweet tooth.
I feel massive too. Luckily it’s cold so have layers and constantly keep coat on indoors lol.
I have first appointment with midwife weds. Still feels surreal Confused
Xx

Hi all, just want to tell my story so far to see if anyone else going through the same thing. I'm approx 6 weeks today. Had slight brown spotting last week so gp sent me to to hosp where they scanned me and tracked my hcg bloods for the week. My hcg hormone doubled every two days which is positive , but they could only see a sac in transvaginal scan. There was nothing in the sac. They said they're concerned because my hormone hcg is quite high and the scan doesn't doesn't match with how far on the hcg is. They've left me now for a week and will rescan next Tuesday. Anyone else have experience of this? Worried but trying to be positive

CJB9 · 15/01/2019 00:11

how exciting! we are also expecting baby number one, aside from our fur babies! I think I am 6 weeks 6 days! we’ve told our parents which has actually made me feel more anxious, is it normal to be a bag of nerves? we’ve booked an early scan a week today and I’m just praying we see the little flicker and my anxiety will ease!

CJB9 · 15/01/2019 00:14

@Newbie19 it is such a worrying time, people don’t tell us that do they! sending lots of positive vibes and lucky dust your way x

@MrsLBear I'm ok abit nauseous now and again but haven't actually been sick. Was feeling exhausted last week but not to bad this week. What about you?

Stacey1215 · 15/01/2019 12:01

Had another blood pregnancy test today at doctors and getting booked in for my first midwife appointment tomorrrow! We havent told our families or two children as of yet but i have told my two best friends. One is pregnant themselves and seems excited for me as we will be off together for a small while. My other, less impressed she asked me "am i just having another cos my friends are" and said oh so you'll be missing my hen do, doesnt matter you dont come to anything anyways! No congratulations or anything of the sort. Left feeling quite down. How would you react to these comments? I already have two children aged 6 and 3 and have always wanted a third and myself and OH are so excited and excited for the journey ahead. But is it right to feel low about a comment from your friend? I wanted her support and love and have been left feeling all she cares is about herself. I cant help when ive fell pregnant nor that it happened to have fallen the year of her hen and wedding. Feel like shes been quite selfish.

appless · 15/01/2019 12:05

is it right to feel low about a comment from your friend?

No it's not right when your friend is a total bitch. You don't need "friends" like that, so don't give her horrible comments another second of thought.

TwittleBee · 15/01/2019 12:08

blimey thats a bit rude of her Stacey ! Has she got her own fertility issues going on atm (not looking to excuse her!) do you know? One of my sisters was like that towards me when I was pregnant with DS, she was jealous that me and our other sister's lives were moving forward together and she felt stuck in a rut. She has apologised since and is now a loving Auntie (when she is in the country anyway, she lives abroad most of the time). Good luck for your appointment tomorrow.

Stacey1215 · 15/01/2019 12:28

No not that im aware of! She and her partner have their wedding etc booked and she is plodding along nicely! We share everything so im sure thats not the case and shes said before she isnt ready for them yet and is happy playing auntie to my two and ofcourse her own sisters little one. But I just found it all abit extreme and not necessary! Rang my husband and he said to just ignore her she wont mean any harm. Im sure when i see her in person next it will be fine and ill tell her but for now i just found it all abit upsetting! Thankyou! Im excited for tomorrow, feels a life time since i did it all 5 year ago.
