Yep I too am taking Gaviscon.
Lots have happened since I last posted. Saw midwife, all okay heard heartbeat!
However been having really bad mood swings and then on Friday I went totally postal at work - basically because of all the stress at work. Didn't kill anyone, but there is an instrument manual that'll never been the same again .
Result, my boss had a chat and said he hadn't realised just how much stress I was under and he has moved me out of the lab to the main offices half mile away from site to where he is based so he can keep an eye on me. Basically they can't afford for me to get signed off work with stress so they will be bending over backwards to try to relieve it.
Basil - I'm sorry to hear you are so worried, hope everything is okay. Don't forget every pg is different and symptoms can come and go. {{{{hugs}}}}
Mumpbump - that dress is gorgeous, if were a 16 I would have seriously gone for it!

Mint flavoured magnums - I love them. Found Sainsbury's do their own version. almost as nice and much cheaper - had loads this pg so far!

bouncing, glad all sounding well with you.

I had a bit a scare this afternoon. WAs just thinking this morning why I'm still obsessively knicker checking, when this afternoon, I found some spotting. Only a small amount, but I still thought I ought to ring hospital, who told me to go in.

thankfully, I'm home again just! Baby was monitored for 20 mins - apparently new guidelines say they do it from 27 weeks, which I am just today! All sounding very healthy and strong. Had to have an internal exam (very lovely doctor) and all seems ok, but they took a swab just in case it is an infection. Also sent urine off for further analysis, just case of kidney infection, but urine was clear. BP is nice and low 100/60 so no worries that extra stress at work is increasing BP, but it has given me enough of a scare to take things much more easy from now on and work can cope without my extra work. I am not taking on my boss' work as well, as she is off with her ill son for a week at least.

Right, my very lovely mummy has just made me an omelette, so I'm going to eat it now with my feet up in front of the telly!

take care everyone!

fettle, glad all is OK.......i'm not being nosey, but had you done the evil deed with your DH? your cervix can get quite soft and prone to bleeding?

not popping in much at all lately, but I'm thinking about you all and have a read every now and again....its got very chatty and I'm struggling to keep up with you all.

Hope things are going well for everyone!

lissie · 01/07/2007 08:16

hi all, im really freaking out! getting to my danger point (most of my mcs have been at 5-6w and im obsessing over every twinge, even tested again today to make sure im still pg. will it get better?

fettle i used to bleed after sex when i was pg with ds.

fettleandminifettle · 01/07/2007 09:39

You hang in there Lissie! Everyday is another day closer. We're all here for you!

Thanks for your thoughts, but DH has been away for 2 weeks (home this evening, thank goodness!). Could have really done with him yesterday, but thankfully my mum was staying and next door have a lovely nanny who took DD in, so Mum could take me to the hospital.

But with DH away, I've probably been under a bit more stress that I should normally have been, but definitely no sex going on (and boy have I been frisky this week!). Obviously now I won't even be able to relieve that now he's home, as i'll be too scared!

Have a good Sunday all!

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 09:42

Lissie, try to keep calm. Can you do something nice today to take your mind off things.

I know its difficult, but this will pass......thinking calm thoughts for you

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 01/07/2007 10:20

Was kindly redirected here.Thanks girls

I am 18 weeks and v nervous. I lost a little girl in April 2005 at 25 weeks (no reason found)and I have a dd aged 3.5 who is so excited about this baby I hope I dont let her down.

Its hard to get excited isnt it? It took two years to get pg again and I am 40 in a couple of weeks. I really thought that was it. We moved house which was soooooo stressful (buyer messed us about and we were packed up for weeks thinking it would fall through) and the week after we moved in I got a bfp.Could not believe it. Just goes to show that if you take your eye off the ball...

Its not been easy as I also suffer from hyperemesis though its not lasted as long with this pg and I have had accupuncture on nhs which may have helped. It normally lasts till the fifth month but thankfully its tailing off now and I only have the odd bout of sickness. But the psd has kicked in now and feel like i have been kicked in between my legs. But moaning aside, I would go through anything to get this baby here safely.

fettleandminifettle · 01/07/2007 10:41

Hi Chocolatepeanut. sorry to see you here, IYKWIM. This thread is great. We all have good and bad days and support each other through them all. I can really appreciate the feeling of not letting your DD down. Mine is 3.3 and much more excited about this LO than either myself or DH have let ourselves become. I'm 27 weeks and had some mild spotting yesterday and that was my first thought, how on earth am I going to explain this all to DD if it does go horribly wrong. Thankfully they think it was just one of those things, but it was a warning to me that the worry doesn't stop.

Try and keep as relaxed as possible, although we all know how difficult that can be. And if you have bad days, don't hold it in, come on here and let us all know. We're here for eachother!

take care

daisyboo · 01/07/2007 10:43

hi chocloatepeanut...glad you came over for a chat...it can be quiet at the weekend but picks up through the week.

I hope the next few weeks go well for you. Take Care.xx

Uki · 01/07/2007 12:40

WELCOME ChocPeanut.

I remember you and I'm glad to have you on board Stick with us and vent away before you know it you'll be discussing names.
The first and 2nd trimesters always see to drag on and the third one is just uncomfortable

Etj- since you posted about heartburn, i've been having it, I'm using Mylanta which works and now going to avoid rich foods and eat smaller amounts.

Lissie- It's time for the sumkata mantra. Do this every time you are worried, and before you go to sleep each night.

Firstly think of your little bean growing healthy and strong and then say a phrase to yourself three times (in your head). mine was "I will have this baby"

First say it in a quite voice to yourself
Second In a shouting voice and thirdly in a noraml voice. You will feel much better and so will your bean

fettle- Sorry for your scare, so happy all is ok .

as for me I'm quietly suffering with back and rib pain, see my thread if you can help, Apart from that all well

Oh Lissie for you. You've been through so much more than any one person deserves, it just isn't fair.

Is there any chance this may be implantation bleeding?

Rest up, take it easy and let us know how you are.

Daisy xx
