Don't know which dad it is

Hello.

I hope this is the right place to be and that I don't get judgement for this as I am very scared!

I am pregnant, I am unsure how many weeks as I haven't had a scan yet.

My last period was 6th of October-9th.

I had sex with someone on the 18th October unprotected, and then again on the 27th and 28th, 27th with the same guy I slept with on the 18th and 28th with a different person.

I took a clear blue digital and it said I was 1-2 weeks which I think means 3-4.

Please can someone help me work out who is more likely to be the dad! The line on a test I did last week Tuesday the 6th October was almost invisible, then did one on the 9th that was more visible and also did the digital on the 9th. It's now the 15th and the line is very obvious and strong so surely that means it was the guy from the 18th October?!

Thanks so much to anyone that helps!

Rachel - why mention the morning after pill now. She's pregnant! It's a bit late don't you think?

Darkstar4855 · 15/11/2018 15:01

@Gab101 that’s good news, glad you are clear. Wasn’t trying to be horrible, it’s just that I work in healthcare and have seen the effects of untreated STIs (especially in pregnancy) and it’s something that people often don’t think about.

Best wishes for your pregnancy.

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:01

@Alilwolf getting a scan on Tuesday night at 5pm, do you think the earlier I am the more able the doctor will be to see the difference in 10 days? I understand that the 27th 28th is completely unidentifiable. Your responses are great. Just ignoring the negativity.

@Darkstar4855 thanks for your advice xx

I personally don't know much about dating etc. as my pregnancy was unplanned too (hugs), but there are ladies on the TTC (Trying to conceive) boards who would be experts on this, but it wouldn't be wise to post there as it can be hard for someone who is trying to conceive to hear of someone getting pregnant so easily. Hopefully someone will know more than me.

LadyRochfordsSpikedGusset · 15/11/2018 15:06

No problem OP, and best of luck with how it all turns out Thanks.

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:06

@Alilwolf good thinking. That wouldn't be a nice thing to read. I will think of a way (if possible) to word it without mentioning my fast pregnancy.

Who’s the daddy troll back again?

[waves]

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:10

Maybe just ask a general question about dating a pregnancy from a scan, on the Chat board (I wouldn't chance AIBU), without mentioning the reason for your question. But a lot of people will search users previous posts so might find this one. I'll try to keep the thread bumped for you and hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along. Your midwife also will be experts on this matter, so don't be afraid to confide in them. Be mindful though, that no-one is likely to want to commit to a concrete answer.

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:12

Don are there frequently threads like this? It's also probably more common than you think.

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:14

Have you real life support since you're not in a relationship? A good friend who will keep a secret, your Mum?
Have you told anyone yet?
So I guess the plans for a year abroad are scuppered! You'll be up to your eyes in poop by then lol. It's all to look forward to.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 15/11/2018 15:14

Airwolf the scenario is very common, yes. However there has been a recent spate of very frequent, very, very similarly worded ‘two dads’ threads, all deleted as trolls on MN. It is yawnsome seeing it again and again.

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:15

@Alilwolf good idea. I have only signed up to this site today for the first time as my friend who has two children advised it and google always brings me back. I can promise that! No trolling here but not responding to such things. I'm going to speak to my doctor tomorrow and see what she says!

Sorry, Alilwolf

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:16

@Alilwolf I'm only 22. I have a fantastic family who don't know yet but I'm sure will be ok in time. And my friends are great, but for just now I'm too scared to tell anyone.

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:17

Haven't come across them before and hopefully not a troll, but no skin off my nose if it is.

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:17

@Alilwolf Australia is down the drain Sad

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:18

Well you'll need the support. Do you work?

BakedBeans47 · 15/11/2018 15:18

Probably more likely to have been the 18th but I don’t think it’ll really be possible to tell without a paternity test after birth (disclaimer I am no expert!)

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:18

@Alilwolf I work 50 hours a week with children.

Gab101 · 15/11/2018 15:19

@Alilwolf your responses are greatly appreciated and I am not a troll!! X

OP posts:
BakedBeans47 · 15/11/2018 15:21

And what are all the mean responses and telling the OP what she should have done all about? Ffs! Does it make you feel big putting the boot in to a vulnerable young woman who just asked a question?

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:22

What about accommodation when baby arrives? Do you live with your parent(s)? Will you be able to afford a place of your own? Where roughly are you based?

SoyDora · 15/11/2018 15:24

Unfortunately a lot of people can make educated guesses but it will not be possible to know for sure without a DNA test.

Alilwolf · 15/11/2018 15:24

And what are you going to do about telling either/both of the potential Dads? Or will you go it alone?
