Hi everyone
I’m new on here, due 14/7/19 with first baby had scan on the 27th Dec was amazing to see the little wriggler.
Is anyone else’s anxiety about pregnancy through the roof?! I’m trying to put it down to first time unknowns but can’t stop catastrophising and overthinking everything pregnancy related.

Mayjane5 · 02/01/2019 16:36

@Porridgeprincess I do seem to have the urge to pee more but sometimes just a feeling and don’t actually need to go, I am trying to increase water intake too. But it will be one of those things some people have some don’t.

Mayjane5 · 02/01/2019 16:39

Well today boobs not as tender, went to the supermarket felt like I was going to pass out or be sick not eaten much today so maybe that’s why? First midwife appointment tomorrow do you still get a green folder? Or is it all done my computer now?

Jummynbean · 02/01/2019 17:52

@mayjane5 are you in UK? Seems odd that you would be 12 weeks and only just now seeing midwife for the first time! How long have you known?

Mayjane5 · 02/01/2019 17:56

Hi Jummynbean I’m 10 weeks due end of July, this was first appointment they had I guess because of Christmas, I only hope I can get my scan soon, yes in the uk

Jummynbean · 02/01/2019 18:21

I just has my dating scan appointment through the post .....for 17 weeks 🤣

Mayjane5 · 02/01/2019 18:25

@Jummynbean what? That’s late nhs is in high demand, will you go private? Last time with my daughter they sent a letter and I received it on the day it was so I missed it had to go private, I’m just hoping I can get in soon x

Loujonesy · 02/01/2019 19:03

I got my first scan in 2 weeks. Will be just over 12 weeks. Fist midwife appointment was at 8 weeks. Heading back to work tomorrow after having 3 weeks off sick due to HG. Seem to be struggling with this pregnancy but wondering if it's my age etc. I'm 36 and my youngest is nearly 11. Boobs have been soooo tender since 5 weeks... Anyone else having this???Confused

Jummynbean · 02/01/2019 19:09

I swear to god i have just had enough of dealing with shit. We've had to cancel our holiday to Thailand cause of Zika risks, found out that the airline won't refund me or let me change passenger details so that's £2000 down the drain ( stupid me no travel insurance) and now my dating scan is over a month a way.... I'm sick of fighting with people over the phone and I can't control my hormones at all. I just need some good luck or some good news 😭

Jummynbean · 02/01/2019 19:11

I called the hospital but the people who deal with scans aren't in....need to wait till tomorrow

Winona1 · 02/01/2019 19:12

@Mayjane5 I think your dating scan app is usually around 16 wk. I could be wrong. Xx

Mayjane5 · 02/01/2019 19:27

@Winona1 i can’t remember from first time around as they messed up our appointment, website says 12-14 weeks but I guess just depends where you live when you can get seen x

Winona1 · 02/01/2019 19:36

@Mayjane5 sorry I'm getting mixed up, you are right 😂 xx

Mayjane5 · 02/01/2019 19:48

@Winona1 who knows I wonder if they’ll be able to tell me tomorrow? @Jummynbean that’s rubbish surely they could offer you flights at a later date or something? Keep emailing them etc.. I didn’t realise they had it in Thailand too .

Bunnybaubles · 02/01/2019 20:21

@Jummynbean aww that is awful about your holiday! Something similar happened to me too a few years ago, but due to my manager telling me i had a compulsary meeting after i booked my holiday when i didnt and only informed me after i cancelled the holiday and lost all the money!! I was bloody raging too!

My first midwife appointment is 8th january when I'll be around 12 weeks too. I was told last time when I first phoned them that they won't see you before 12 weeks (I'm in Scotland).
Dating scan is 16th, I'll be around 13 weeks, can't wait to see baby again. If I was in change of the NHS I'd make it weekly scans for everyone 😁

Mayjane5 · 03/01/2019 17:37

I had my first appointment with midwife today all straight forward she said I can phone for scan appointment at 11 weeks so next week how exciting. Also been referred to doctor for anti sickness tablets which is great

Winona1 · 03/01/2019 17:39

Great news @Mayjane5 🤗 I'm 12 wks today can't believe I've made it!! Felt like I'd been hit by a bus when I woke up this morning mind!! Scan on Tuesday 👍🏼

Jummynbean · 03/01/2019 17:56

It's nice to hear all your lovely stories, feeling much more level headed today and my dating scan has been moved to tomorrow which is lovely! I hitb12 weeks on New year's Day which would make me 12+2. Fingers crossed all goes well!

Mayjane5 · 04/01/2019 02:33

@Jummynbean hope it goes well today x

Loujonesy · 04/01/2019 08:10

@Mayjane5 I'm on antisickness tablets. I'm on cyclizine and ondansetron. They have kept my sickness at bay after I was in hospital on a drip.

Porridgeprincess · 04/01/2019 10:03

Aw Jummybean that is such a shame about the 2k.. that is serious money to be down.

Maryjane, I find the only time I feel queasy and sick now is if I have not have enough food in a day. The whole next day I feel I am on catch up.

MrsMidge0505 · 04/01/2019 15:43

Mayjane5 · 04/01/2019 18:52

@Winona1 I know when I went back to work yesterday I felt shocking when I got home. @Loujonesy I’m waiting for doctor to call going a a flight soon also and couldn’t have sickness on the plane that would be awful.

Mayjane5 · 04/01/2019 18:53
