Anyone else got constant hiccups?? 😂😂

Jummynbean · 30/12/2018 22:32

So as I suspect we are all getting towards the end of the first trimester, I'm interested to hear about how you are all feeling and any new symptoms that have popped up! Fortunately for me hunger, cravings and nausea left me at week 9 and I was lucky enough to evade sickness entirely, yet the tiredness and heightened sense of smell persists. I now have a dark line on my tummy, am weeing more, have become incredibly veiny on my boobs and @winona1 I too have sporadic hiccups! Can't wait to hear from the rest of you x

Winona1 · 30/12/2018 22:48

@Jummynbean My nausea seemed to go around wk 10 I only have it in the mornings now. Still having aversions to food & heightened sense of smell but think I'm over the worst of it now thankfully! 🙂 do you know what causes the hiccups😂

Jummynbean · 30/12/2018 22:52

Not a clue @winoa1 I only seem to get them in the mornings! I suppose with all our insides being jostled around it would make sense to affect the diaphragm🤔who knows!

jq28 · 30/12/2018 23:03

Anyone else absolutely STARVING at like 3am? Iv bought grapes up to bed just in case it happens again and iv already eaten them FML 😂

Mayjane5 · 30/12/2018 23:14

@Jummynbean yes hoping this next bit will be where I start glowing 😄 still having nausea and feeling wiped out not looking forward to going back to work after the Christmas break.

Bunnybaubles · 30/12/2018 23:16

@jq28 me haha! 5am (middle of the night for me) and i sneaked downstairs and made lazy cheese on toast (made toast, didnt bother melting the cheese) and devoured it like a starving lunatic in the dark... then sneaked back upstairs like it never happened 😁

@Jummynbean I thought I was rid of the nausea around 9 weeks but it's back, not as bad tho. Still have food aversions and the heightened sense of smell is awful especially when my baby does a poo in the potty 🤢 And I'm starting to hate my air freshener!

I am looking forward to feeling the little flutters soon, started feeling them around 14 weeks last time so not long to go 😍

Hope all you lovelies had a nice Christmas 😊 I am definitely not going to be the designated driver next year!!

Jummynbean · 30/12/2018 23:34

@bunnybaubles, your like a cheese on toast ninja! It does feel like we have made it through the hardest time in regards to
lying to everyone about why we are not drinking ( I feel like I pulled it off but I bet eveyone knows 🤣 I usually drink like a fish) @mayjane5 I don't have midnight cravings, but I do have an internal 4am wee alarm! I'm dreading going back to work too 😥

Jummynbean · 30/12/2018 23:35

Sorry @jq28, forgot to tag you in the last post xx

Bunnybaubles · 31/12/2018 00:13

@Jummynbean I've honed my ninja skills sneaking past my baby's cot to get to the toilet every half hour through the night, thought I'd put them to good use in the kitchen 😂

Ha I put a great effort into hiding the fact I wasn't drinking from most of my family. SIL is due in March so want her to enjoy the attention. I'll tell everyone after... well that was the plan!

Then at the Christmas dinner while playing a card game I won 2 bottles of wine - my son decided to announce that it's a pointless win for me cause I can't drink anyway!!!! So DP had to think quick on his feet (quick thinking isn't my style) and threw in a very plausible excuse about me being designated driver and having to look after the baby.

SIL spent the rest of the night eyeballing me tho lol.

I announced my pregnancy last christmas day after SIL noticed I wasn't drinking - also very unusual for me and she knows I have never been voluntarily designated driver in my life!!

Jummynbean · 31/12/2018 00:37

Haha I suspect we will both get at least one, 'I knew it!' luckily bar men have been my friends, kindly putting lemonade on him and tonic glasses for me and virgin rum and cokes have been a winner too!

HayleyHaystack · 31/12/2018 06:48

13+4 now! Wow still in shock I made it this far. Family and friends know our news so all much easier now. Morning and daytime I feel great, evenings I feel awful - nauseous and exhausted. Also finding sleeping uncomfortable as boobs are still painful. Diet has been appalling so looking forward to a healthy eating plan and starting back at the gym this week. Not drinking anywhere near enough water so really got to change that. Anyone signed up to NCT yet?

Georgeofthejungle · 31/12/2018 17:13

What’s NCT @HayleyHaystack?

Yes to being starving at silly times @jq28! Although this morning I didn’t wake up until 9am (bliss) usually if of been sick having not eaten until then but not today - maybe that placenta is doing it’s job more now. Can’t wait!

Anyone got any recommendations for maternity jeans? I have some from my last pregnancy but they are too big (new look). The under bump ones fall down (16’s) and the 18’s over bump are too big and look more straight leg than skinny. And fall down! Been looking at Next ones although I’m not
Sure what size I’d be in there. x

Georgeofthejungle · 31/12/2018 17:14

Yes drink more @hayleyhaystack! When I was feeding my DS I wasn’t drinking enough and ended up with a very sore bottom Shock Not a good experience and not one I ever ever wish to go through again! Not recommended x

Bunnybaubles · 31/12/2018 17:38

@Georgeofthejungle I just bought a really nice pair (size 16) from H&M. They are over the bump and a really good fit, don't fall down like the Mothercare ones

Squeakybubbles26 · 31/12/2018 19:15

@Georgeofthejungle my last pregnant jeans from next were so comfy I can't wait to wear them again! I prefer over the bump as feel they won't fall down - even though I know they won't!

My first New Years not drinking ... I'll be in bed by 9 as shattered already! However it's all worth it! Even though I do wish this nausea/sickness would do one!

Has anyone with nausea finding being sick making them feel better? X

rach2019 · 31/12/2018 19:22

My nausea and sickness is still very much around! Nothing really helps, at first eating helped but now i find myself gagging whilst eating. I'm 11+5 so hoping it goes away soon.
Looking forward to that first scan in a weeks time. My first NYE not drinking too and I'm working anyway so it doesnt matter too much.

Mybabuu · 01/01/2019 00:51

Hi, im going to have scan on 10th Jan for12 weeks scan. Eagerly waiting to see that little one n for edd !!!!pls keep me in u prayers. 😊

Georgeofthejungle · 01/01/2019 12:20

Happy new year ladies! A nice dose of thrush to start the new year! 🤣 I was prone to it with my first pregnancy so i think the fancy soap in the hotel we stayed at for our anniversary hasn’t brought it on. Luckily I’ve some caneston from before. I found femfresh wash really helped to keep it at bay when I was pregnant before, Unless I was on antibiotics. Sorry if TMI 😂 xx

Georgeofthejungle · 01/01/2019 12:20

Has* brought it on! x

Mayjane5 · 01/01/2019 17:33

Happy new year ladies ☺️ Xx

HayleyHaystack · 01/01/2019 21:10

@delilah7 How did the scan go hun? X

Porridgeprincess · 02/01/2019 12:37

Happy new year everyone! Have not checken in in ages. I am 11 weeks today.

I have random hiccups too, and also a need for food at 3am. I find Rice Krispies really hit the spot for me.

I have a my proper scan (had a private one before cmas) in the hosp next week and my obgyn stuff too lke bloods etc. What I need to ask them is, I never really feel the urge to pee. I hear some women are getting up in the night to pee etc. Maybe I am not taking in enough water, I try hit 2 litres each day. It will be easier to do this now that I am back at work and it is routined. Are you all peeing way more?

Jummynbean · 02/01/2019 12:58

@Porridgeprincess I'm 12 weeks and have only just noticed and increase I. Weeing, but I'm also a lot more thirsty too haha. I don't think it's anything to be worried about x

Porridgeprincess · 02/01/2019 14:24

Aw thanks Jummynbean, I will ask when in the hosp next week but when I hear so many saying they are constantly peeing etc I get a little worried.
